This Is One of the Best Cruise Lines for Food Lovers

"A dedicated culinary center and working kitchen aboard the ship—often called the lab—featuring a gleaming white marble chef's station where chefs like sous chef German Castellanos create tasting menus that change with each port, teach hands-on techniques, and tie chef demonstrations to curated shore excursions and tastings." - Stacey Leasca

My husband and I have now collectively taken four classes with Chef Mellissa at Salt Kitchen, and every single one has been an absolute delight. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed into a warm, clean, and inviting space that instantly puts you at ease; whether you're a seasoned cook or stepping into a kitchen class for the first time. Chef Mellissa’s passion for cooking and teaching shines in every class. Her energy is infectious, her instructions are clear, and her recipes? Surprisingly simple! The classes make you feel like you could serve a Michelin star meal. Cooking can feel intimidating, but Mellissa has a way of making it feel approachable, empowering, and joyful. Shannon, who assists during the classes and helps run the shop, is just as fantastic. Both Mellissa and Shannon go above and beyond to answer questions and offer guidance, even when some of our questions were a little ridiculous! They never made us feel anything less than welcome and supported. Beyond the classes themselves, Salt Kitchen is truly a gift to our little North Dakota community. It’s not just about food; it’s about connection, learning, and shared experience. We’ve not only gained confidence in the kitchen but also felt a genuine sense of community every time we’ve come. We’re incredibly thankful for what Salt Kitchen is bringing to our area, and we can’t wait for more classes in the future. Highly, highly recommended!

Simply cute!! Lovely shop with lots of kitchen items. Anything you could imagine?, a oil infusion area where you can get specialty olive oil, has a public restroom and working kitchen.. that does to-go orders.. a few days a week from what I understand. I would call and check in on that if you're interested. The pricing is not bad. It is a little expensive but the products are specialty ordered. And if you couldn't get it online right away, you are surely able to find something here. Just lovely

Went in and all they did was look me up and down and walked away from me, no help just judgement. Actually made me cry because they would just glare at me like I wasn't ment to be there. BUT helped the other lady that was there. Won't be returning, I won't suggest this place to anybody and I am so disappointed.

Seems to be a decent store but I do find them to be overpriced and to be honest I know we are suppose to shop locally but with their prices shopping online seems way more affordable for the exact same thing that they are selling product and name brand. It was nice to see their customers being cautious and wearing masks but it was disappointing seeing the employees there not wearing masks at all. We live in a small community and it would be nice to see more people pitching in to try to slow down the virus especially businesses doing the right thing.

It's hard to quantify Salt into a simple paragraph because it does so much and does it so well. I'm partial to it because it actively tries to break the areas mold and preference of two dimensional flavours or food preparation methods. Don't get me wrong, the might of the two flavour tones a mean tater tot hotdish will play are not to be taken lightly, but Salt brings inspired flavour combinations or flavour enhancing items that simply don't register in the land where a heavy loaded potato and half a beef on a plate are king. They even have items that inspire the home cook to push their own culinary boundaries. It's definitely a food lovers oasis in often a culinary desert

First time being there. I called cuz I needed a thermometer and I was in a hurry,I was heading for work. she actually waited for me to get there even thou it was already 5pm (closing time) I really appreciate the gesture. Great and amazing people I really like my new thermometer and I'm planning to go back N see what else they have. 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
