I have been to a couple of Salt spas before. This is the best one I have experienced. I had the infrared sauna, the salt room session and a facial. The Salt Spa is located in the historic district of St Augustine in a very quaint area. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed, the front desk staff is very friendly and pleasant. The front waiting room is peaceful and lovely. I really enjoyed the infrared sauna, it is in a large private room with shower, I could comfortably go in an out of the sauna during my 40 minute session. The music and lights were so relaxing. I loved every minute. Afterwards I had the salt room session, it is a beautiful large space with 25,000 pounds of salt! There were a couple of very comfortable lounge chairs and I was given a small light blanket, and I was all alone. It is kept at 69 F for best benefits. I was mesmerized by the lovely changing ceiling lights and took some photos. The lady that guided me in and out was very friendly. Then I had my facial, I was guided upstairs by the owner who performed one of the best facials I ever had. The room and bed were very nice, cozy and quiet. I had the signature facial which is 50 minutes. She explained all the steps and products, it also included neck and arm massage which is rare at most other places. It is very European style. The only negative thing I experienced was some other clients in the waiting room that were complaining and a bit loud. As I live in St Augustine part of the year I will definitely return often.

My experience was fantastic, I had their signature massage and time in the salt room. I work a high stress job and booked this at the start of my trip to help me relax and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman that gave me the massage had years of experience and truly knew what he was doing and the staff running the front were super nice and professional.

Carlton was absolutely amazing! His energy was so calming, and he truly has a gift for understanding his clients. He could read exactly what my body needed and talked me through everything, which made the experience even more special. I’ve never had a massage therapist guide me through breathing and help me fully relax into the present moment like he did. It was such a transformative and healing experience. I left feeling refreshed, realigned, and completely at ease. Highly recommend!

Google
My husband and I booked a couples massage in the salt cave and we both HIGHLY RECOMMEND. My husbands massage therapist was Minnie and mine was Anette, they were both amazing, kind, and very good at their jobs. The front reception were very nice and helpful.. 10/10 experience, very relaxing environment , don’t hesitate to book with this spa!

Google
I had the pleasure of an amazing massage with masseur Carlton in the salt cave! The massage was a light but firm massage with breath and energy work. Carton intuitively assessed me and was again intuitively guided to areas within my body that were blocked and needing release. I cannot tell you how pleased I am! I'd been working on correcting my pelvic tilt and improving my posture. My left shoulder, hip and pelvic floor are now better aligned. Carlton has a unique understanding of how specific life experiences create rigidity and dis-ease in the body. He then unwinds it away. Thank you Carlton!

Not sure why there’s a single bad review on here . My boyfriend and I came in on Sunday for a couples massage for my birthday and had an amazing and relaxing experience! Front desk staff was friendly and our massage therapists were knowledgeable and so kind to us. I felt like a weight was lifted when we left. Definitely will book again when we are in town !

Today opened our eyes to one of the most intersecting things that I have recently learned in my travels. A family member was getting a facial. I spoke to the owner of salt spa in Saint Augustine, and two of the folks that work there. I learned so much that I asked if I could videotape the presentation and demonstrations to share with people that may not know what I learned today about salt. Yes the power of salt and a fascinating salt mine in Poland. By the time I watched the presentation and demonstrations and spoke to everyone there I felt like part of their family. Because of the friendliness that we have experienced in Saint Augustine, we shall return and I specifically will come back for treatments at the salt spa. so thank you for taking the time to teach me about the health benefits of salt. If you are in Saint Augustine, and you have an hour or two, you owe it yourself to visit this place take advantage of their knowledge of the health benefits of salt. Oh, and did I mention there’s a salt cave that I took a video of right there in the spa!

Google
Highly recommend massages at the Salt Spa if you are in St. Augustine for a romantic weekend! Or for any kind of visit really. We added the hot salt stones, which really look our experience to the next level. And I definitely suggest asking for Felicia - she provided one of the best massages of my life! I have chronic neck and shoulder pain and really need deep, targeted pressure - she 100% delivered! I also really like the stretching she incorporated. Really clean, cute location and great staff all around. We didn't try the salt cave this time around, but hope to be back someday to check it out.

Sally L.

Yelp
Had an amazing time with hubby for a romantic get away! It helped ease my muscle I would definitely come back.

Yelp
What a tranquil and relaxing experience. The Salt Cave was the perfect mother daughter time together. For 45 minutes, we laid back in the antigravity chairs and cozy blankets looking up at the beautiful lights, breathing in the salt, and listening to flowing water and peaceful music. I cannot comment one way or another about the health benefits. There is much logic to it. I do equate it to a 45 minute Savasana with extras - so all good. We started right on time and the Natalie was lovely. I look forward to returning. Since the Salt Cave can be reserved for groups up to 8, it might be a nice spot for my next get together with friends.

Yelp
I visited the Salt Spa today for the first time. A friend invited me and told me I would love it. She was right! Our appointment was at 12 PM, in the salt cave. We arrived a few minutes early to complete some paperwork. My friend paid extra so we would be the only ones in the cave since she was getting a full body massage. I put on socks provided by the spa and headed into the cave. Upon entering, I was in awe of the salt cave. I immediately felt lighter. The music and water helped set the tone for total relaxation. The spa associate told us the owner was from Poland. She purchased all the salt on the floor from the Wieliczka Salt Mine in Poland. And the salt on the walls and ceiling (mixture of salt and plaster) came from the Himalayan mountains in Pakistan. Salt has many health benefits and aids the respiratory system. She told us to take deep breaths while inside the cave. Jesse was my massage therapist and performed reflexology on my feet and hands for one hour. I could feel his work all the way up my legs and into my hips. It felt amazing. I didn't fall asleep, but I was in a deep meditative state. I highly recommend checking out the Salt Spa and you MUST go into the salt cave and experience it for yourself!

Yelp
When we visit FL we always have a girls day and visit Salt Spa for messages. The staff is very welcoming and the space is very relaxing. The nice thing is that the tip is included in the price, which makes it even more enjoyable. You can repaid and not worry about anything the whole you are there. The only thing to note is that it is called Salt Spa but isn't a spa you a stay at and walk around in a robe. It is more like you get your message and leave.i know they have the salt room but I haven't been.

Yelp
I have to say I had the absolute worst massage in my entire life! I would like to preface this review by saying that we are used to getting monthly massages at our old massage place, which we just moved 4 hours away from and was looking for a new place as well as this location is in the heart of Downtown Saint Augustine. I was unaware of that at the time of my booking. I booked a couples massage for myself and my husband. I loved that they offered Thai massage. When I booked I asked if I could have a regular (Swedish) massage and the person incorporate the Thai method of stretching your limbs either before or after or during etc. I was assured that I would get that. The massage appointment is for 2pm, but they told me not to arrive until 2pm. This should have been more of a 2:15 massage, please arrive at 2pm would have been much clearer as I was unsure I was going to park, undress, and check in if I arrived at 2. Anyway, we had to pay to park down the road ($14.00) which was fine as we planned on going out for an early dinner once we found out it was downtown. I thought it was weird when you sign the forms they allow you a 10 minute grace period to stop the massage and get your money back (should have been a flag) I would have stopped mine had I not drove 40 minutes, already was on the table and I had high hopes that it would have gotten better! Carlton introduced himself and went into communication about breathing etc. All while my husband massage lady had already instructed my husband how to lay and left room. Finally he left and me and my husband got under the sheets. Here are some highlights : he pressed down on my forehead and held his hand there, not moving it, nothing for a minute or so, he massaged my knee cap more than my legs, he played and pulled my ears, there was not a single thing enjoyable that this man did. At one point I told him "this is not enjoyable, can I please have a regular massage" when he shoved his hands down my back all the way to my butt. I have had people do that to mid back but all the way down !! He asked me "What is a regular massage?" Then he proceeded to tell me that I was tense and not breathing thats why I was not enjoying it, he told me "Sometimes massages brings out emotions in us, its OK to cry" like what WHAT!!! then he asked me if I felt "Safe"-- DUDE all I want to feel is relaxed and you are failing miserably I never in my life was so happy to only have a 50 minute massage. It was 50 minutes too long.

Barbara H.

Yelp
It was our first couples massage and it was absolutely wonderful! The ladies that took care of us were very professional and did a great massage.

Colin S.

Yelp
The Salt Spa accommodated our day-before reservation. They provided a welcoming and comfortable environment that was easy to relax in. The 50 minute couples massage was a fair price and nice way to spend the rainy afternoon.

Christi L.

Yelp
This salt spa is a hidden gem downtown in the historic district! We enjoyed a couples massage inside the salt cave ~ highly recommended!

Marialuisa M.

Yelp
Came in yesterday 5/1. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to come in especially since I called at 12pm noon time and was booked same day at 3pm. I booked a Salt Spa Signature that included both Swedish and deep tissue, I also had the add-ons of CBD oil, and hot stones with a combo of detox essential oils. The place almost looks like an apartment complex from outside, yet when you walk in it's complete zen. So relaxing! I was greeted by Maria at the front desk complete sweetheart! So friendly. I filled out a form, and was almost immediately taken upstairs for my massage. Once up stairs in the room my massage therapists asked if I would like the bed heated; I replied, yes please! Then she stated she would step out so I could get comfy and get onto the bed. The massage began and it was amazing so greatly needed! It had been over a year since my last massage; and with moving across state in under a month I was definitely in need of some extra TLC. After I was done I was provided some ice cold water & downstairs I went. I enjoyed my experience so much I booked another for end of this month ! Kudos to all staff! From Maria, to my massage therapist, to the other sweet lady that checked me out. Total price was $138 $98 for the 50min Salt Spa Signature Massage $20 CBD Oil add on $20 Hot Stone Thank you Salt Spa..... there is also an infrared sauna available.

Yelp
I met some college girlfriends in Amelia Island for a weekend in September and we boogied down to Saint Augustine for a salt spa experience. I've been to several but it was the first time for my friends. It was easy to find and we happened upon a parking space out front when we arrived though if you can't get one of those few, I don't know where you would park. The staff was very welcoming and we only had a few minutes to wait before our time slot in the salt cave. It was very cozy and pretty. We scooted our chairs into a semi-circle around one of the wall drip features. We chatted quietly for a few minutes before drifting off into a "meditative nap phase". The blankets and anti-gravity chairs do the trick for sure! We left feeling relaxed and fresh. My friend's sinus issue from her plane travels to us even cleared up for the rest of our trip. I did notice they had spa services and a float tank - had we more time I would have planned half a day here! I'll visit again next time I'm down this way.

Josie M.

Yelp
Worst massage I have ever had, basically had lotion applied for 80 minutes with no actual massage despite asking for deep tissue and asking the therapist to adjust pressure. Bad customer service- his wife is the owner and insisted he's the best therapist there. Would not recommend

Brianna R.

Yelp
The worst massage I have ever had and I have had a LOT of massages. I left more stressed than I arrived after having lotion aggressively rubbed all over my body. No actual massaging was done at all. I asked the gentleman to slow down hoping it would help improve the experience- it did not. I should have known it was going to be a less than desirable experience when the first thing we were told was that if we didn't stop the therapist in the first ten minutes of starting that we would still be required to pay in full.

Dianna A.

Yelp
Phenomenal deep tissue massage! Carlton was excellent! Husband and I both loved our experience at Salt Spa. We will definitely visit again next time we are in St. Augustine!

Casey C.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed the most amazing couples massage with Dee and Angie. I formerly worked in the spa industry and have experienced a variety of massage therapists over the years--Dee is one of the BEST. When I booked I told the receptionist that I was having some issues with a pinched nerve and radiating pain. The receptionist said she would partner me with a therapist who had worked within the chiropractic industry. This was immediately apparent with the skillful way Dee understood physiology and was able to use touch to apply pressure to alleviate pain. I wish I lived closer so I could book her regularly! My husband also remarked that his massage was the best that he'd ever had. Kudos to Dee and Angie for making our couples massage a highlight on our vacation. Thank you both!

Nicole T.

Yelp
We were on vacation and wanted to try something new. I booked the salt cave (a 45 min service) for 2 people a month in advance. We got there on time and was told there was a slight delay with our appointment as a bridal party was running over and they were glad they were able to shift things so it didn't cut into my service time, um what? Why would someone else's appointment cut into my time? If they were late for their appointment, their time should be cut. If someone along the way was late pushing all other clients back and maybe you have to stay late, you deal with it. We were promotly taken upstairs and offered water or tea. We waited 40 (!) mins before we were taken back downstairs for the 'salt cave story.' So, being that our service was 45 mins and we waited 40 mins, either those people came in 5 mins before our appointment, upgraded their service and wasn't told an appointment was coming in, etc. When we were checking out, it was again said that they were glad they were able to shift things around to fit everyone rather than "cutting an appointment." If you would have cut our appt the day of, that is not good customer service. It would be nice if you'd let a customer know that you are running THAT far behind. Your business needs to do better.

Yelp
Booked this a month out as we had been in one in NC and wanted to try one close to home. My daughter and I arrived the Saturday before Moms day, May 12. We were booked for a one hour relaxation in The Salt spa. Arrived at our time at noon and the parking lot was full, nowhere to park. Drove 3 blocks away to a lot and paid $10. When we walked in the door, there was a lady arguing over a refund loudly. The other man was with another customer. We waited 15 minutes. I told the manager there was no parking asked for reimbursement for parking. She said they would not. She said they offer free passes for parking and I stated it was not on her website to come in and ask for a pass. So out $10 for a service at their establishment. We paid for a one hour slot. Led into the salt spa with socks provided. No earplugs given. After sitting in the salt cave for 15 minutes listening to the man next to us snore loudly, I got up went to the desk and asked for earplugs and also said is there any music, oh the lady said we forgot to turn it on. Went back, music was on, earplugs in BUT man snored the remaining time. His wife's phone went off. NO PHONES should be allowed In the salt cave. Then the lights went on after 45 minutes. Did not get our full HOUR. Told the manager when we left my complaints and she said Thanks for the suggestions. Also get a soundproof door, you can hear all the lobby and reception talking clear as day with earplugs in. A refund of $68.00 would be appreciated plus my $10 for parking. This was suppose to be my Moms Day gift from my daughter. Peg Meola Jacksonville, Fl.

Kelly B.

Yelp
I give them a 4 because no staff wears a mask and there is no warning on the door as such. The staff is very pleasant and the infrared sauna was amazing. Loved that they have Chrometherapy as well with their sauna.

Nerissa H.

Yelp
An amazing and unique experience with the sauna and salt room. Can't wait to do again!

Pamela B.

Yelp
THE SALT SPA IS A DISGRACE in many ways the treatment rooms are not soundproof can hear other people conversations. The staff knew i was recovering from an auto accident and was staying at the bed and breakfast next door.i booked treatments at the spa everyday for over a week, Little did i know how bad it would get,on my 3RD day at the salt spa after a treatment i was walking slowly into reception area because of my back injuryalso i am 80 years old, i hear behind me one of the salt spa massage therapists yell at me MOVE,MOVE i turn around at this ARROGANT , RUDE EMPLOYEE and say "what did you say to me" this creep named EDWARDO SAID WITH HIS HANDS IN MY FACE ,SAID AGAIN MOVE , GO , GO. i have going to spas for over 40 years i have never been treated like this, it gets worse i go to the front desk and tell the staff what this employee said to me I WAS IN SHOCK THEY DEFENDED HIM BY SAYING HE IS FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY AND HE DID NOT MEAN ANYTHING BY IT THEN THESE INCOMPETENTGIRLS AT THE FRONT DESK TELL ME THIS IS THE OWNERS FAVORITE EMPLOEE IF I WAS AN ENPLOYEE AT THE SALT SPA I WOULD QUIT ASAP i asked to speak to the manger they said there is no manager the owner took ff for a week vacation THIS IS THE WORST SPA EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE I STOPPED ALL TREATMENTS AND THE SPA LOST ALOT OF MONEY BECAUSE I LEFT THE OWNER ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY

Jevin M.

Yelp
Went to the Salt Spa today to celebrate my one year anniversary. I had never done a couples massage before as they usually charge a premium on top of the cost per person, but I am happy to report that it doesn't look like these guys do that. Just a simple price per person, times two! It was my gf's first massage and she reported back two thumbs up on both the relaxing experience and the pain relief that came from it. Most places I've been to say the amount of minutes youre paying for then sneakily cut that time by asking if you need to use the restroom or giving you too long to get undressed and onto the table. Happy to report once more than Salt Spa did NOT do this and gave us the full 80 minutes that we paid for. Staff hospitality was a 10/10, and the experience was stress free. Parking is a bit limited but we lucked out, given their efforts to have patrons leave after their experience. Thanks, Salt Spa! Will be back soon

Dru R.

Yelp
Awesome time!!! I felt like hell coming in- I had an old muscle injury flare up. I left feeling brand new!

Carrie S.

Yelp
We recently visited St Augustine and booked treatments at Salt Spa. I am giving 3 stars based on the professional and courteous customer service that we received and for the experience of the salt room which was a bonus but would honestly give a 1-2 stars on the level of the massage treatments and the "spa" aesthetics. The pictures on the website did not properly depict the interior of the spa which I was disappointed in as it was a surprise gift to my spouse. We both love going to local spas when we travel and have never had this type of experience especially after spending over $600. The "sweet treat package" was a bottle of Korbel sparkling wine which flutes that still had stickers on them, we had to pour ourselves when we were seated in a "lounge" room that had uncomfortable mis-matched furniture. No robes or slippers were provided as you are given in most spas and we were not informed that we should bring our own. While I agree with other reviewers that the staff is very nice, I will say that I don't believe that the experience warrants the expensive service prices.

Tanya Z.

Yelp
My first time in Saint Augustine, my first time at a Salt spa but not my first time receiving massages and facials. I've had hundreds but from the moment I walked into this "Salt Gem" I knew I had found an amazing place. First off the staff was very professional and warm. They were thorough in explaining the services and payment procedure. I indulged in the salt float and then came back to experience the Ultimate facial, massage and the Salt cave. The owner was the cherry on top! Beata is her name and she greeted me with such genuine kindness I felt like I had known her for many years and we were the bestest of friends. I stayed in the old city for a week and without a doubt experiencing the Salt Spa was the highlight of my vacation and would come back again just to have the services and more!

Nicole P.

Yelp
Very clean. The salt cave is the best in the area, no other compares. They also offer facials with gluten free products that left my skin glowing!!! The ultimate spa day. Book in this order: sauna(I showered after), was warmed up for my massage, then finished with facial! You won't be disappointed. I left feeling amazing. If you have all day, do all the services. The float and salt cave are pretty cool for first timers!

Angela C.

Yelp
I booked a couples massage for me and my husband online for 1010am. The bridge of Lyons had traffic backed up getting into the old city from the beach. I called at 945 telling them we may be a few minutes late. The lady on the phone asked for my name, and said that it wouldn't be a problem. Once we got there, they took us upstairs to a nice waiting room, then forgot about us. I was so disappointed. Once they realized what happened they offered a free upgrade for a time we were not available. Then a lady called my phone, spoke with my husband and blamed the mix up on me. SMH... We decided to spend our money elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

Angel S.

Yelp
My husband surprised me with a couple massage and omg I have had plenty of spas but this one was awesome!!!!! I was like a wet noodle afterwards every muscle in my body was so relaxed. Definitely recommend this place!!!!!

Sheila W.

Yelp
I was in town for an anniversary celebration. I booked Salt Spa because of the reviews. I booked a couples deep tissue massage. We were both very disappointed. We both felt like it was a Swedish massage. Don't get me wrong, it was relaxing and definitely not a deep tissue. I kept thinking she would eventually apply more pressure and never did. I asked for certain areas to be massaged and focused. That didn't happen. Never been more dissatisfied.

Meagan M.

Yelp
If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. We are very much in heightened COVID, RSV and Flu season. Out of caution we tested for Covid the morning of our appointment and tested positive. We called at 8 am, 9am 10:00 and 10:30 and also sent several emails. We were told we could come to the appointment despite being positive (we were not going to do that out of respect for CDC guidelines) or we would be charged. We asked to speak with the owner after calling several more times to explain the situation. The owner behaved in such an unprofessional manner. She was combative and rude and encouraged us to leave a bad review because policy is policy. Her demeanor was aggressive and as a business owner that is not how you treat customers. I understand that you have to stick to a cancellation policy but we are very much still in a global pandemic. If you are Covid conscious please avoid this place. They are more concerned about profit over health and safety. Update: We were questioned about our Covid case after she claimed we were driving in a car and must be feeling better. As a high risk immunocompromised person this is offensive. I am ok paying the cancellation fee as I avoided having to interact with such careless staff.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
My mom and I came for the Body Renewal Cycle. It was such a relaxing time. We did the float tank which was a unique experience. The Epsom salt made my skin so smooth and obviously make it very easy to float. It was 60 minutes, but I think next time I would like to do it for only 45 minutes. I got a little antsy the last 15 minutes. The infrared sauna was next. My mom had a hard time staying in it for the allotted 30 minutes. She got a tad overheated after about 20 minutes. She got out and was able to cool down in the shower while I finished the time in the sauna. The owner then gave us a run down about the salt cave, explaining the history, how it works, and the importance of salt. Then we had our 45 minute session in the salt cave. It was great because it was just me and my mom. We were able to talk and relax in the chairs. We thought is especially cool that the entire cave including the ground was salt. It is cooler in there so they offer a blanket, but after the hot sauna the temperature felt great! The staff was extremely friendly and very on top of the transitioning from room to room. If time allowed we were given some extra time in the rooms. The only thing I would do next time is add a massage after the sauna. Your body is so relaxed that a massage would have felt great!!

Heather C.

Yelp
Really nice place. Everyone who worked there was kind and professional. My wife and I had a massage and did the float/sauna/cave package. Can't wait to come back!

Amber H.

Yelp
My husband and I booked this as an 20th anniversary couples massage. We had never done a couples massage and thought it would be a way to treat and relax some tired muscles. As we were waiting for our massage two employees were talking about negatively about other staff washing walls with dish soap? and not emptying trash. When I was asked to go over what was bothering me when my masseur brought us to the room. My husband was able to do so but when I attempted to tell mine he seemed to talk about something else. My husbands massage was fine as he did relieve some pain in his hip. He found the massage a little strange though as when he opened his eyes the masseur was directly above his face just staring. Also he breathed loudly the entire time and it was distracting for both of us. My masseur did not work the parts that I had attempted to tell him about. I explained I had large knots on my lower back and may to easily to rub those until they loosen and my shoulders were tight. He never touched my shoulders nor my lower back. he worked the base of skull for a long period and I could not understand why. And worked one side for easily 5 minutes but only the other side for a minute. , plus he rubbed my forehead in one spot for another few minutes, and it did not make sense.. the other thing that kinda bothered me is when he was ready for me to turn over he raised the blanket. I opened my eyes and asked if he wanted me to turn. He said yes and I felt as if he could easily see over the blanket and felt as if he did! We honestly wished we had not gotten a massage after it was over as it felt it was a waste of money. And lastly, we paid for the 50 min and only got about 35-40 mins actual massage.. we were put in the room after time to start, got undressed and dressed and spoke to our masseurs within the 50 mins total.

Cristan C.

Yelp
I booked 2 deep tissue massages for my daughter and I. You cannot book 2 on the website so I filled out the contact form. A member of the staff texted with me the following day while I was in between work flights. I explained, in text, I wanted 2 massages and deep tissue. She then sends me links to fill out or my appoints,t s wouldn't be held. I land, go into meetings and step out to make this a priority so I could spend quality time with my daughter upon my arrival home. Check in..nothing special. Go "upstairs" where it is serve yourself tea or water. Then...wait for it...it's a couples massage. Quite literally why I didn't book online because that was my only option. When you sign the paperwork it states "if you are unsatisfied with your massage stop within 10 minutes", which I totally would have done but, I didn't want to ruin our now "couples" massage for my daughter. If they call that deep tissue, they need to go back to school. I told my husband a need a massage from my massage. I chose this place because it was close and I knew I wouldn't feel like driving to ponte vedra inn and spa after getting back Saturday night from a hard work trip. NEXT TIME, I shall be ok with the drive to ponte vedra. Nothing, and I mean, NOTHING special about this place. Won't be back and definitely not worth the money!!!!!!

Jim B.

Yelp
If your looking for the deep tissue massage schedule you time with Slawek at The Salt Spa. His strength, knowledge and technique will bring you to edge and back again. Simply the best massage you will ever experience.

Carlee M.

Yelp
So there is a couple components to this review.... 1. The spa is beautiful, clean, and everyone was very lovely. 2. My husband did the salt spa and loved it. Very highly recommended! 3. I received a prenatal massage. They had me fill out a form for my preferences, which I put medium pressure, and that I didn't not want anyone to speak to me during. Also I put that a scalp or face massage would be fine. So, I met the massage therapist, she was very friendly, great personality. Loved the room, so relaxing... here is the issue, she still talked the entire time. Now she was very friendly and i enjoyed the conversation but I did not really relax the way I had wished or asked for. She did even apologize on the way out that she talked the whole time. Now, other issue is the pressure was just not there. Mind you on the form when you come in, you have a 10 min time frame to correct the pressure or they won't refund you, per the owner. Which is fine, I understand. But it puts you in a very uncomfortable position to tell your massage therapist that you want some pressure, and to stop taking. It was very uncomfortable for me to have to request for what I already wrote on the paper. Now I'm not saying she wasn't nice, but it just wasn't what I was looking for. I feel like I made a friend, and I am now highly moisturized. If you want to relax, despite my massage I would still recommend this spa, I just think you have to be ok with correcting someone if they don't give you what you are hoping , which I was not. The facility is still VERY nice, clean, and staff is extremely friendly.

Yelp
We happened upon the Salt Spa just off the St. George St. promenade. My boyfriend tried floating for the first time and I did the infrared sauna. He was so amazed by the experience we came back the next day! I was nervous to float in the sensory deprivation chamber but he had a great experience so I was motivated to try. We floated and then relaxed in the salt room. It was wonderful. The owners are welcoming, take their time giving you a tour and explain the process/ health benefits. The other patrons we met shared with us how they come again and again - and tell all their friends. Not only did we feel a difference but our skin looked great as well! It is a calm beautiful space with state of the art amenities you need to let go and recharge.

Yelp
I contacted the Salt Spa to schedule a couples massage when we came to St. Augustine for my husband's birthday. Normally they book up in advance, but they called me back with an opening the very next day. My husband has been dealing with pretty bad sciatic pain for a while, and he let his massage therapist, Colton, know this. He said it was by far the absolute best massage he'd ever had. Colton had different techniques than your regular massage, and he really worked out a lot of my husband's problem areas. His body is pretty broke down from his military experience in his younger years, and also the countless broken bones throughout life. Now getting older, his back and hips are bad. He highly recommends Colton for anyone experiencing these sorts of issues. He just let him know up front, and Colton knew exactly what to do. We both walked out of the spa so relaxed and refreshed, and we will definitely book again on our next trip to St. Augustine! The people at the front desk and the ones over the phone were awesome as well. Great customer service all around!

Yelp
Great spa! My husband and I scheduled a massage while on our vacation and it was wonderful. Will definitely visit again next time we're in town. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I absolutely loved my time at Salt Spa! I did a float tank session and it was my first time. I really enjoyed my overall experience and even came back for a massage in the salt cave. I highly recommend the hot coals with the massage. The salt cave was a little cool and had an amazing atmosphere and the warmness including the massage made me so relaxed I almost fell asleep! I got to personally meet the owner Beata and she was super sweet and informative. I also have got to shout out my girl Maria! She walked me through choosing my services while providing great customer service and being super patient. She made me feel so comfortable and made my experience even more enjoyable. If I'm ever back in St. Augustine I will be sure to stop by!

Wonderful! I will be going back. My masseuse made it wonderful. The staff (one of the girls) was extremely helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Such an amazing experience for my husband and I. I am 7 months pregnant and got the prenatal massage and my husband for the deep tissue massage which he enjoyed, we got to share a room which was great! We also did the salt cave and that is something I can't recommend enough! I didn't know what to expect but I'm so happy we did it! I highly recommend!

Yelp
Wayyyy over priced for the service we received! (Almost $400 including tip) Huge disappointment for my wife's birthday! Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. We left very underwhelmed!

Yelp
The massage therapists were nice and good- but I was so disappointed by their lack of covid precautions. I took my mom for her 70th birthday and no guests were wearing masks. On top of this when we asked if the massage therapists would wear a mask they said we would have to have male therapists because the female therapist wouldn't due to her "personal philosophy". We requested for the staff to wear masks and the owner did not. I paid extra for champagne and strawberries but the room where it was served had multiple unmasked people walking in and out. Overall very disappointing.

Yelp
This is an update from an earlier post. I had bought my best friend (who is beautiful and stressed out) and my beautiful daughter who is making huge decisions at a pivotal point in her life, a great day at the spa, together. It was just what they needed. My best friend said it was "AMAZING." She'd never been to a salt spa. She actually had let me pay! I was amazed! She said everything was incredibly wonderful, and that she was new to the salt float, and the self-enclosed pod. She had felt compelled to open it up when she felt she needed some air, and I told her since she's new to that, that's what you do. The more she floats through life, the better it will be, and she'll really adapt to to the pod. My daughter looked so rested and peaceful and supported like I had wanted her to be. This positive experience for both of them was life-changing. They said their favorite was the cave, because of how beautiful it was and how it really lifted their spirits. I'm SO grateful to this business for following their spiritual intuition and creating such a beautiful, detoxifying, and blessed atmosphere. It was well worth every hard-earned penny. I can't wait to go one day when passing through St Augustine! God bless you all!

Yelp
What a fun and relaxing day this place was. The service was perfect and so relaxing. Fun. We experience it was about a 4 hour day to do all the float tank, sauna and then the salt room! Highly recommend this spa!

Yelp
This place was so cool! I went with a friend who had been dying to go-a salt spa was something I had literally never heard of before, but i figured why not give it a go? I'm so glad I did! I should also say we only did the salt cave for 45 minutes. It definitely doesn't seem like it'd be something I'd do regularly, but as a fun afternoon girl's day activity it was perfect. I'd be interested in returning to try one of their other services. Also, they offer a student discount!

Yelp
I had an outstanding experience and highly recommend the services at Salt Spa St. Augustine. I went for the float tank, and enjoyed learning about the salt cave while being welcomed & given a tour. Hali was incredibly helpful & professional, it was clear that she really cared and went out of her way to take care to get me scheduled, answer all of my questions, and thoroughly oriented me to the spa (as it was my first time). I felt well informed and even excited to be there. I'll most certainly return. Their float tank is not just for people looking for meditation and quiet, but it's also great for anyone with skin issues who might benefit from soaking in a salt bath, as it really helped my eczema. I went an entire day without itching, which is unheard of for me-- credit to Salt Spa St. Augustine. :)
