Saltbush Motor Inn

My wife and I have just travelled from Brisbane to Adelaide and back spending five nights in motels during the trip. For us the Saltbush was just about the perfect motel. It had great staff, large clean rooms that ticked every box, good beds, a bathroom that had everything required including lots of counter space. It also had convenient safe parking, a pool and free guest laundry! It was just well thought out. Excellent!

Hay's newest and best motel. Rooms are nicely appointed. Location in Hay's main street is ideal. We got a great nights sleep as the rooms are very quiet. Excellent sized bathroom & shower.

Big room at the back of the property. Nicely painted and clean, although overdue for some new carpet. Interesting local photos on the walls. Good split system AC, although there also seems to be an older ducted system that doesn’t work. Nice beds with clean linen. We either misread the room description online or the property needs to do more work with their booking dot com entry, because we booked a room that didn’t fit us all. No worries, reception rang and moved us to the correct room at the same rate. Several places to eat in walking distance. Car park is a bit tight for larger vehicles, it would be a challenge if all rooms were occupied. Good value compared to some of the older options in Hay.

What a refreshing suprise! All Motels should use Saltbush Motor Inn as an example. Clean, tasteful decor, convenient location. Fantastic staff/reception, friendly and helpful. If travelling through/staying in Hay this is the spot.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding that made for a great night's sleep. The amenities were top-notch, including a large flat-screen TV, fast Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped bathroom. The staff was friendly and attentive, making check-in and check-out quick and easy. I especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort and convenience during their stay.

Great place to stay if you’re travelling. We had just 1 night here in a deluxe suite. The room was huge as was the bathroom, it was very comfortable. This would be the only motel I’ve stayed in that has extra fluffy towels, a real plus. Despite being on the main road we didn’t hear any traffic noise. Reception staff were friendly and recommended the Riverina for dinner, a 5 minute walk down the road and great food. Parking was right outside our door which is very convenient.

Check in easy owner was fabulous to deal with. We stayed in a family room very clean. Bathroom was new. Pool was warm. Recommend as a location for a stopover on the way to South Australia.

I so very badly wanted to give this motel a 5 star rating. Room was super clean and tidy, TV easy to use, amenities easily accessible. The only issue we had was the grime that came out of the jets in the spa bath and that neither of us slept a wink. We stayed overnight while I was working and the people in the room next to us kept us awake from midnight all the way to 7am with their loud talking, turning on what sounded like a hydro pump at 5am and playing music. The walls are so thin we could hear everything, even the slightest movement. So an otherwise nice experience was completely ruined by being kept up all night. No soundproofing whatsoever. Location and room itself were great other than this.
