This restaurant is a bit interesting as it’s second floor is for fine dining and first level is more bar/lounge related. A bunch of use came here after skiing and made advanced reservations. The service as good and staff were extremely friendly.
I ordered two appetizers and entree. First appetizer was lobster mash potato, $24 for they say two persons. It was well made overall quite tasty. A big more pieces of lobster would be nice. Second one is the grilled chicken salad. This too was favourably. So two thumbs up for both. My entree was spawn shrimps spaghetti. For the price is $19 in todays inflationary environment. How can you go wrong?!
Overall, would definitely recommend to come back!!!

Rib eye was nicely done and huge, definitely good for two people. Brussels sprouts could’ve been cooked a bit more however. Wagyu carpaccio and ahi tuna tartare were great portions and delicious as well. Great atmosphere and cozy.

We had a very nice time at the restaurant the server was great and the atmosphere was nice. The appetizers were very good the only problem was the main course mainly the $81.00 Ribeye that was suggested medium which is how I usually eat my ribeye. The steak was very tough and very unappealing in flavour... I honestly would love to recommend this place and I do recommend it I just don't suggest the steak sadly. The other Dishes were good and the family enjoyed their meal overall.

Atmosphere was great until we waited 3 hrs for a meal. 20 seat reservation - everyone ordered straight off the menu immediately. All other tables were seated, served, paid and gone before we have even started to receive our food. As part of a wedding party - kids even had to be taken across the street for subway. I would never return to this restaurant and would recommend against even booking here. Service was terrible, even the drink orders took over an hour each. Atmosphere would have been great before EVERYONE was beyond starving and ready to walk out.

Nathan was excellent at drinks, service and conversation, and elevated an experience with already excellent food (including one of the single best sticky toffee puddings I've ever had). Come for happy hour and get the carpaccio - you won't regret it for a second.

Every single bite of every single item we ordered was phenomenal. It’s rare that I love everything like I did here. I want to eat here every day for the rest of my trip. Our apps included wagyu and French fries, we got Caesar’s and an elderflower spritz which were fantastic, I got a filet mignon and my husband got a full slab of ribs and we still managed to have room for dessert. I loved it all.

Nice place to have dinner in Banff.
Carpaccio and salad were both very good, do not pass on those.
We got the ribeye, Chicago style to share and it was good as well, but just needed a bit more seasoning. The Brussels sprouts and mash that came with it were great though.
If you're looking for a nice cozy place to go eat, this is the place. The service was very good as well.

This was my second time at Saltlik Banff. It's not the best experience.
There was an insect in one of the drinks. Two steak meals were not cooked as requested. Considering this is a steakhouse, I expected more.
The chicken was a bit dry, but the gravy helped. The in house baked apple pie was delicious. A must try!
We were not done with our appetizers when the waiter took the plates away. 😞
Overall, it has potential.
