Worth driving in for! Exceptional service, tasty drinks, fun menu, and great food! Take a minute to read the menu details (hint: the fine print will bring you joy!) Live music was good, not TOO loud. Owners are active, on the floor and happy to ensure your table will have a great experience.

Had several tacos. Very good! I like the environment too. My wife and I recently went to have dinner with some friends. Def recommend. Plate nowhere big enough for burrito though.

I've had the Salty Cowboy before, but through a take out order. The service we had tonight was top notch. One of the best servers I've had in a long time. She owned a mistake she made about putting the order in and routinely check in on us before and after the mistake. Food was great too. Both the tastes of the dishes and their humorous names are hard to top. Really knocked it out of the park with everything. I was showing the restaurant to visitors to Indy. They're coming back in a few weeks. They plan on changing their hotel reservation to be closer to the restaurant and return.

Google
We visited this restaurant with a group of 40 from out of state. The restaurant was already set up for us upon arrival. Service, drinks and the food was top notch! Thankful for a great wait staff like Reece and team. They went above and beyond for our group. I could eat my weight in their salsa. It is SO GOOD. Thank you for being amazing! High recommended!

Google
I decided to eliminate one star in my review and perhaps I should rate it lower. The food is always wonderful, the cocktails delicious and I enjoy the outside seating. My friends and I were in shock when the manager asked us to leave as he told us he needed our table. My friends and I are over 50 and we're just enjoying catching up on life. We found this to be very rude. He could have asked kindly to move us to the front porch or the other side of the outdoor area politely if we desired to continue to visit. Those spaces were completely vacant.

Google
We visited the Salty Cowboy on 6/28 with a group of 40. After calling ahead to ensure the restaurant could accommodate our group they went above and beyond to ensure fantastic service and great food. They were set up for us upon arrival and the servers, the speed of service, and the food quality was impeccable. Kristen and I texted and spoke several times prior to our groups arrival and she ensured that we were provided the best possible experience. I cannot recommend the Salty Cowboy enough! It was by far the best group running experience we have had with our team.

Google
This is one of the most laid back restaurants in downtown Zionsville. We brought our 2 dogs and sat in the very popular patio The food is a good representation of the Tex-Mex that I am very familiar with from my years living in Austin.

Google
Hadn't been here since the change of ownership since I lived across town but I was not disappointed at all. Had a lovely dinner with family and friends and had the Smokin Gun burger and fries, and it was fantastic. Apps were all good and everyone at the table seemed to be very thrilled with their meals. We got a little bit of everything, hah. Service was quick and friend as I remember and the waitress did a great job. I'll be back again soon, I hope!

Yelp
First time at salty cowboy was an awesome experience! It's super cozy, casual, and comfortable. We were seated right away in the bar area. We got the trailer park flight of salsa, queso, and Guac. It was all very good! We also tried their Margarita flights which were so fun! I got to coco cabana and a bbq pork taco and both were delicious! Tacos are a great size for the price. I was stuffed with just eating 2. Would definitely return!

Yelp
Stop by here this evening with a big group of family in from out of town and received pretty good service, although quite slow, especially the food coming from the kitchen The food was good once we got it, especially the beef and chicken as it had been marinated well and seemed quite tasty The atmosphere was good enough, but it was kind of warm, which is understandable though as it was a very warm evening outside All in all, it was a good night and we would consider going here again for sure

Yelp
I gave Salty Cowboy a poor review two years ago due to slow service. We went back today to give them another shot. This time, we got no service. After I'm seated at a restaurant and ten minutes go by without anyone coming to our table, I automatically get up and leave. Way to go Cowboy.

Yelp
It's been nearly a decade since my first review and the place is still hopping. We went on a Saturday night and were lucky enough to snag one of the last outdoor tables. They have a great outdoor area with most tables under some kind of shade (umbrellas or canopies). The food is still great and very eclectic. If you are slow to decide on your food, you'd do well to look at the menu before you go - there are enough options to make it overwhelming. I love that they have multiple nacho options AND you can get a smaller size for $4 (I think?) less than the regular price.

Yelp
I finally was able to try Salty Cowboy last night! Located in downtown Zionsville this is such a fun place to enjoy some great food! I loved the old house turned into a cute restaurant. They have lots of tables out front for the warmer months. Not only was it my birthday yesterday, it was also another diner named Chloe's as the big group sang to her. Ha! The food that was coming out at that table looked so good! We ordered the chips and queso. Oh my the chips were perfect! The queso was delicious!! Not heavy! Perfectly creamy and we all loved it! We saw a few tables order the guacamole and they come to the table and make it for you fresh!! Looked so good! I ordered the Johnny Cash nachos. I ordered it the Dolly Parton style which means it's a smaller version. It was still a huge portion. They don't skimp on toppings and I appreciate that! It had Texas caviar, ground beef, and other good toppings. I saw a lot of people ordering flights of tacos. You can pick which ones you want. Those were filled and I would try those next time. On for the dessert we ordered the churros and those were piping hot and came with chocolate in the middle and caramel to dip them in. Delicious! Our waiter Ben was nice and did a great job. Can't wait to go again!!

Yelp
My wife and I went to the Salty Cowboy on Friday, August 15. We had reservations for 8:30 p.m. and promptly got in. I ordered some sort chicken bowl. The chicken was dry and almost inedible. The rest of the bowl was just not good. However the server was nice. I cannot recommend this restaurant and we will not be going there again.

Yelp
Seriously, I have been here many times and each time it just gets better and better! We are finding our groove with what to order since everything on the menu is amazing! Flavors collide and your tummy ends the night with a big thank you from the satisfaction! Take a minute and sit at the bar and meet Zoey! One of the best bar tenders around. She is funny and makes you feel like an instant friend! While have an amazing night with the best margarita and food around, one of the owners (unknown to myself at the time) stops over as we are talking sports! He puts in a funny side note and his two cents and makes the night! This local place is worth a stop if you're traveling through or if you live in the area! Don't miss The Salty Cowboy! It has a wonderful outdoor patio and a great small bar with easy access to sports!

Yelp
I can't recommend Salty Cowboy enough! It's a must go for us each time we're in the area and have time to make it work. Delicious food, great service, amazing margaritas, and just a great fun vibe. The tacos are so good, the queso is delicious, and the margaritas flight is a great way to try different varieties. We've also gotten margarita pitchers when with a bigger group. It does get crowded during prime times and there may be a wait, but it's always worth it. There is some parking in the back of the building as well as street parking. And it's hard to beat the charm of Zionsville, IN! Do yourself a favor if you're in the area and give it a try.

Yelp
Our server Ben was super awesome & attentive. The vibe of the restaurant is super cute & was the perfect place to grab a bite to eat w/ a friend and just catch up. The food was more expensive than I anticipated it being, but it was super yummy so I wasn't worried about cashing out on a few extra dollars. I was pretty disappointed that they gave us the boot an hour before close due to being slow and wanting to close earlier. It literally felt like I was getting in trouble and getting kicked out. It left me w/ an icky feeling even though the woman working was as nice as could be when telling us that we needed to go Overall the good outweighed the bad & I would definitely return.

Yelp
Beautiful night out on the patio. Enjoyed a delicious White Strawberry margarita. Salty Cowboy has some of the best margaritas. We started off with their fresh guacamole. Highly recommend It's a huge portion. So suggest sharing it with a group. We had 4 people and probably only made it through half of the bowl. I feel like margaritas and guacamole is the star. I ordered the Pink Taco and the Los Cabos . The Pink Taco (fried cod) was definitely my favorite. The Los Cabos had fried shrimp. The shrimp didnt have much of a taste. But the mango salsa on it was very good. Overall, Salty Cowboy is always a solid choice.

Yelp
Gonna give a 4, but I would give a 3.5 if I could. The queso and street corn dip are good. My wife had a burrito and it was good. The tacos are expensive and well, I've had better from taco trucks for cheaper. $7 and $8 for a single taco, means they had better be top notch. The margarita I had was good, but $14? This was slightly better TexMex, but way more expensive. Burrito was huge and seemed to be a much better value for the money.

Yelp
If you're looking for a spot with an eclectic atmosphere, great music, and a personal touch, this restaurant in the heart of downtown Zionsville is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. We met the owner at check-in (though we didn't realize he was the owner at first). After we were seated, he came back to check on us, which added such a personable and hospitable touch. The margarita flight? Absolute fire! Each flavor was unique and perfectly balanced. They even infuse their jalapeño tequila in house. We started with the Trailer Park Sampler with street corn dip, queso, salsa, and guacamole--all so fresh and delicious. The tacos were massive, with generous portions of toppings (no skimping here like you find at similar spots). Every bite was packed with flavor! We sat in the bar area, which is great for sports fans--plenty of TVs to keep up with the games (also have NFL network). My only downfall to the place would be that the seating wasn't the most comfortable, but we were at a barrel tabletop with no footrest. While our chairs had footrests, they weren't comfortable to utilize. Other tables in the bar seemed more comfortable, with footrests, so we'll choose differently next time. Service was exceptional throughout our visit (shoutout to Cali for answering all of our questions & providing recommendations to us), and the overall experience was fantastic. The restaurant is located in Zionsville's charming downtown, making it perfect for a casual night out or a fun date night. Highly recommend this spot, and we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
YEEEHAAAW Y'all! There are many wonderful places in the world, but one of my favorite places is at The Salty Cowboy This wasn't my first rodeo with taco joints, but I sure was kickin up my heels after eating here. The only reason to be salty is because I can't afford to eat here on a daily basis. Regardless, I'll tell you how the cow ate the cabbage. While working in Indiana, my first visit to the Salty Cowboy was on a whim, when I was in desperate need of some good tacos, margs, and buckaroo's. While working in a small town in Indiana often felt like a whole month of Sundays, the Salty Cowboy provided comrades and cocktails. I even joined the rewards program during my time, because I ate here at least 3x per week... The food was delish. On my first visit, I went whole hog, and ordered the "trailer park" to sample some salsa, queso and guacamole. All three sparked a wonderful frenzy amongst my taste buds. I also got the Pink Taco, Coco cabana, and clucking mango. All were phenomenal in their own degree, but my favorite was the coco cabana, so much so, I've tried to recreate it at home. It's a good balance of flavor and the fish was crisped to perfection. Along, I ordered a few too many drinks, partaking in the whiskey and marg options. Let's just say I was drunker than Cooter Brown at the county fair by the time I stumbled out of The Salty Cowboy. I had to taxi back to my homestead. The Salty Cowboy presents a wonderful aroma. If you're lucky enough to sit in the back bar area, visitors will experience a mix of cool secret basement, with dark painted walls and unique murals, with nods to artwork with cattle and skeletons, which we Americans idolize oh so much. They played a strong mix of bangers, including alternative and rock hits that would make a millennial get up sang. The staff also wears fun T-shirts with funny taco puns and I really wish I could get my hands on one of these. @TheSaltyCowboy, plz send me a shirt, and I will forever be endowed to your fine establishment. The outhouse (bathroom) was clean, had fun finishes and was good overall. The bathroom had nice mirrors, to allow you to fix your makeup or hair before headed off to square dancing or whatever event you planned on next. I can't wait to return. I plan to walk in like a cowboy in the 1800s, walking into the saloon to greet his compadres after years of separation. Present day, Looking at the menu, I'm not sure why Salty Cowboy removed the og pink taco - the taco that drew my gaze to this place? The pink taco was perfection, the perfect blend of sweet heat, kickin all your tastebuds to Partay. It looks like they still might have it? I hope. Next time I'm back in Indy, I will for sure will be back.

Yelp
Empanadas are definitely still my favorite, but their quesadillas are also excellent. Margaritas are pretty good, not too sugary and sweet. Definitely a place to visit in the summer when you can dine outside.

Yelp
I have had the good fortune to eat at Salty Cowboy twice. Both times were with a group of fellow hikers from the Indianapolis Hiking Club (HIGHLY RECOMMEND!). We often eat post Wednesday afternoon/ evening hikes. Both times I ordered the Golf Shores Quesadilla. As described on their menu; Key West gulf shrimp + sautéed poblanos & onions + Texas caviar + mango & pineapple salsa + guacamole + cilantro crema $16. DELICIOUS! The first time it seemed a larger portion (enough to take half home) as well as a bit tastier. We were told the chef had left prior to us arriving so that was probably the reason. On our first visit one of the hikers ordered a guacamole & chips for us to share and both the guacamole & chips were fantastic! The most recent trip we shared some chips and salsa and the salsa was delicious, I fortunately had a fair amount to take home and some fresh chips as well. Service has consistently been good, the owner came out the first visit and brought out extra guacamole for our large group which of course left a good impression with us! There is street parking right out in front. Parking is always a little difficult in downtown Zionsville but we've always eventually found a spot.

Yelp
Compared to other Zionsville options, Salty Cowboy is suitable for a more casual get-together. We visited with friends and were able to get seated right away. I ordered a bowl in salad form. My food was average, but my husband enjoyed his burrito. The chips and salsa were great! The one negative I'd make is that the staff working on the night that we were in made it very clear that they did not want to be there and were annoyed with each other.

Yelp
A wonderful lil spot in Zionsville...amazing and pleasant atmosphere with bright colors. The service was quick and friendly. Plus, the food was delicious . The cook did a great job . Good cocktails . Definitely, a place would recommend and visit.

Yelp
Just walking up to this funky little joint my mouth was watering from the amazing smell wafting from it. It's a beautiful on the outside, and the cozy, quaint atmosphere walking in made think, "Well, this is where I live now." The decor reminded me of visiting my sister in St. Pete Fla, as did the friendliness of staff and patrons. The drinks...which my family happily taste tested for this review lol...reminded us of some of the best drinks we've ever had on any cruise ship we've been on. It's just top notch here, and I haven't even gotten to the food. THE FOOD! All of us had something different and we all exchanged bites. None of us could agree on whose dish was the best because they were all phenomenal. I'm a corn tortilla girl, and I will say the corn tortillas are homemade and delicious however slightly thicker with a more masa taste than a standard corn tortilla one might get. Don't let that turn you away from getting corn because they are truly delicious. We sat in the small room in the front of the house but I did venture to the back bar to use the restroom, and it looked like a GREAT time back there. I was a little jealous lol. We got there at 6pm and the bar was pretty full so come early if you want to sit right at the bar, but whatever you do COME HERE. We live an hour away and this place is our new go-to join!

Yelp
This is a fun, casual place to go for Mexican food Everything went well here. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly, everything was nice.

Yelp
Love the bar here! Quaint and cozy with the best bar tenders. The burger and tacos are amazing!

Yelp
The Salty cowboy is under new ownership but the food and drinks are as good or better than before. I love that with the trailer park appetizer you now get spoons for all the sauces. I had the strawberry margarita with a sugar rim that was excellent. We ordered the Burt Reynolds nachos which was full of ground beef, cheese, pickles peppers and guacamole. Very delicious and very filling. Service was excellent. Definitely check it out if you have t been there.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Perfect for a casual, fun, and delicious meal! Get the meal going with a white strawberry or a spicy jalapeño margarita! Can't choose a flavor? Order the flight so you can try 3 unique flavors! Get started with the Trailer Park- Chips & your choice or 4-6 sides: guacamole, salsa verde, queso, retired bean dip, Mexican street corn dip, fire roasted tomato salsa. This is sure to make the whole table happy! They also offer the "Dirty Fires". This is an item I don't typically see at a Mexican restaurant so I couldn't resist! A delicious twist on nachos using salty cowboy fries, queso, smoked pork, chipotle citrus bbq, jalapeños and sour cream. Finally, the tacos. All tacos have a classic protein base with unique toppings and flavors that perfectly compliment each other. Balancing sweet and heat flawlessly. Try any of the tacos on the house made gluten free corn tortillas! Service was fast and staff was very kind! My only complaint is that our table wasn't large enough for all the food we ordered! Not a bad problem to have!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Dined with a friend for dinner at the Salty Cowboy on a Thursday night. Although it was busy, we were seated inside without needing to wait. We started with the guacamole and loved that it was mixed for us at the table. We each ordered a trio of soft tacos and our waitress helped customize my friends order to make hers vegetarian. My favorite was the shorty two, but next time I'm going to try the burrito. The Salty Cowboy is a cute place to get your Mexican fix in Zionsville!
google avatar

Yelp
Great chips and dips & margaritas! We had the fire roasted tomato salsa, corn dip, queso and guacamole. They were all so good!

Yelp
Nice spot in the Village for dinner and drinks. We've been many times and like the food (especially the table side guacamole) and the vibe in the bar. The service is usually quick, attentive and friendly. The manager / owner is always present, helping his staff and making sure patrons are happy. However, there are one or two things that keep this from being REALLY great. First, some of the menu is pricier than it should be (especially the tacos). Second, the front dining room is a bit uncomfortable with table placement (can be noisy, and extremely cold in the winter). Finally, the margaritas can be made very differently each visit -- last time mine was more mix than jalapeño or tequila. Overall, the Salty Cowboy is a nice choice for dinner and meeting friends, and a place we will return to many times!

Cooper W.

Yelp
The margaritas are fantastic and go great with the food! The tacos are some of the best that you can get in the area. Every time I have been there the service has been quick and polite!! If you can sit outside it has great vibes and ambiance!

Yelp
Although my scores aren't very high, I think if you order right the potential is through the roof. Pink Taco 8.3/10 (Battered Pacific cod + cilantro crema + pickled onions + pineapple & pineapple salsa) * really nice fish, light crispy breading. Cancun Oink 6.4/10 (smoked pork with queso dip, pico de gallo, and homemade agave beer bbq) * so the bbq sauce is only on top, the pork is sauce less and dry in the taco. Desperately needed sour cream or guac. Classico Nachos 5.9/10 (lettuce + smoked chicken + jalapeno + sour cream + guacamole + Texas caviar + pico de gallo + queso) * the most basic nachos. Lacked every topping specifically queso. Get a different nacho or the DIP PLATTER LOOKED FIRE

Yelp
Got a chance to have a great margarita at the Salty Cowboy in Zionsville this weekend. Really cute place and it was packed. We only came in for a drink and a snack which were great. The owner even came out to say hi. Will be back to try a full meal later.

Yelp
Kudos to Jake for making our first visit to Salty Cowboy a fun and positive one! He provided friendly and helpful service and made great menu suggestions. The Paloma Perfecta cocktail was refreshing, delicious and a great accompaniment to the Trailer Park starter as well as the Bazooka Jane shareable nachos. Their chips are light in density and low on salt, which I greatly appreciate. Just know you may need to double up on the chips when scooping up the yummy nacho toppings! Note: if you're not a fan of salty queso, you may want to opt for some of their other amazing dips such as the fresh guac. We also ordered The Hoosier bowl made with ground beef to go, which made for a healthy portion to enjoy and share the next day. Arrive early for nearby parking!

Yelp
Super cute little place in the old Town of Zionsville, actually a little hard to find the front door. The staff was very fun and good at keeping up with our big group. The tacos are a la carte and individual, so getting a meal added up fast. It was an ok dinner but nothing but the name stood out to us.

Mary K.

Yelp
Only ate here once. The staff were great. The ambiance was, shall we say, interesting? And the tacos were fairly tasty and definitely different. However, we have never felt compelled to return. The value for the cost was not ideal.

Eric H.

Yelp
Love this place. Every time I'm in the area i come in. Since the new owners took over it's been nothing but excellent. Nothing against the old owners but it's a great group. Steak burrito was perfect and the margarita was fantastic. Staff all were working hard and friendly. Perfect location in a great town atmosphere. This will be my go to spot every time I'm in town. Well done guys!

Yelp
We had a truly fun time in this super fun restaurant in the picturesque town. I called ahead to ask about if they could accommodate a large group of lacrosse players and their parents. The hostess who answered the phone could not have been more positive and helpful, and passed me off to Justin who was knowledgeable and thoughtful about how to make it work in his restaurant. Justin had great suggestions on how we could accommodate our group of 30+, and even though we didn't make it quite on time, the staff was so helpful and problem solved how to accommodate us with smiles on their faces. While waiting for our table, we sat at the bar, and the customers were fun, gave us great suggestions for what to eat and drink too. The bartenders talked us into a pitcher of their Salty Cowboy margarita which did not disappoint! The drinks were great and the hostess checked in with us several times about our table and then suggested the players should sit out on the patio. The girls had a great time sitting under the patio umbrella while their parents sat inside. Then, the food came out! Wow! Such creative and fun names for yummy classics and some surprising combinations were super tasty. Everyone loved their meals, and the girls loved their desserts too! When I went to thank the hostess and the host for their hospitality, they were so touched! The other waiters came over and said hello and that they loved our group. The waiters could have been intimidated by all the people at once, but they all rallied together to help each other meet our needs. This is a really friendly place filled with people who obviously love working there and pulled together to make my choice (based on nothing but a yelp review) for our team dinner amazing! When I went to thank the hostess and the host for their hospitality, they were so touched! The other waiters came over and said hello and that they loved our group. The waiters could have been intimidated by all the people at once, but they all rallied together to help each other meet our needs. Thank you Justin and your team for making me look like a total rockstar! You really have something special going there and we are so glad we got to be a part of it!

Yelp
I have dined here three times over the years with the most recent visit being last week. It's always just ok. Better than Taco Bell by miles. Not better than other taco joints by miles. Just in between. One the most recent visit I ordered the ceviche and bazooka jane nachos. Both just 'meh'. The ceviche has a nice kick to it and probably the least salty of the two items I ordered. There's tons of shrimp but the glass they crammed it into make it difficult to retrieve with either a fork or chip. The nachos were as salty as the Dead Sea. Also the meat on the nachos was very juicy which is nice normally but the chips were soggy within a few minutes. It was a difficult item to eat and I got it to specially eat with one hand while I held my son. My husband ordered one of the margaritas. Don't remember exactly which one but it was very watered down from the sip I had. Service was friendly and prompt. We sat outside on a nice day. Restrooms were not very clean. There was a towel at the basin of the toilet that was damp. Maybe a leak? I didn't even want to change my sons diaper in there. Did it in the front seat of our car instead.

Yelp
Vibes were a little off. We went for Taco Tuesday, but they ended up not offering it that night. Portions were decent, but a little too pricey. You can get the same if not better at other taco places for more reasonable prices (and stronger margaritas!). Would recommend if they bring back taco Tuesday and it's close to you.

Yelp
Loved this place! If you haven't been to The Salty Cowboy yet, you're missing out on one of Zionsville's most fun dining experiences! This Tex-Mex haven is a must-visit for foodies, families, and fun-seekers alike. The atmosphere is the kind of place you can't help but fall in love with. The vibe is fun, warm and welcoming, just like the people who work there. Food was great. I recommend to start your meal with the Trailer Park Salsa, a sampler of their incredible house-made salsas. It's a flavor-packed tour of everything Tex-Mex dreams are made of! We paired our Lone Ranger quesadilla with one of their awesome margaritas and it was delicious. 10/10 - The Salty Cowboy delivers incredible food, fantastic service, and a unique atmosphere in the cutest town ever.

Els P.

Yelp
I ordered the Stagecoach Burrito and started with the Trailer Park. Wow. Sensational food! I loved everything about this placed from its vibe to the service. I was very impressed and will 100% be returning. Would love to see some live music during the warmer months. Maybe the outdoor patio? 10000/10 would HIGHLY recommend!

Yelp
Taco was ok, but $8?! The nachos were very good and definitely a healthy portion. My niece ordered a margarita at 4:45 (happy hour), but when we got the bill, it was full price. We were told happy hour was over. So you need to cash out the happy hour drinks before 5? And it was $13! Ambiance was good. Might go back, but watch the prices on the drinks.

Yelp
Another fav Mexican American place for tacos and se good flavorful empanadas! This place looks like a pub/bar but you should definitely try their food! Ambiance is cool and relaxed on a weekday and the service was also great! We went in there right before they closed and the food didn't disappoint!

Yelp
Yummmm! I was sold at fresh made corn tortillas and creative taco offerings and Salty Cowboy did not disappoint. I'm that person that hates cilantro, so they were kind enough to put the items with cilantro on the side for me. We started with ceviche. I'll say it was good but I've had many better than this. I wouldn't personally order this again. I would however, order a pitcher of their top shelf margaritas! Margarita snob approved! It's a small restaurant with a bar feel. We had excellent service and delicious food. Next time, I'd like to try one of the bowls they offer.

Yelp
Service was excellent. Not busy for a Tuesday but we got seated right away. Had the guacamole and it was very good. Fresh and was made table side. Entrees came very quickly. Tacos were amazing and they were generous with the toppings. I had the Salty Cowboy margarita and I think the likes weren't the best (it's winter so I don't blame them). Would go here again for sure.

Yelp
Not sure what the big deal is about this place. I'm from out of town and have had many a great taco's. These were good, not great. The dining room and bar had a 20 minute wait... not for tacos, so I ordered out. I ordered the Angry Jalapeño and an Al Pastor both on corn tortillas. The Jalapeño was very good. I didn't care for their Al Pastor. It was more like a shredded pork taco. Didn't have much taste to it. The corn tortillas appeared homemade. They were a bit thick for my liking but held up nicely to the eating process. It's a chopped up restaurant with a bar area in back. Dining room was nice enough but the bar area seemed like a dive. I would not have been comfortable eating there.

Yelp
This place looks like a house that was transformed into a restaurant located down a narrow street. There is a even narrower path right before it for parking, t was not really displayed so I had to drive back around to make it in to park. Once parked you can walk around to the front entrance or go to the side door that enters to the bar area and walk through to the front which is what we did. The hostess sat us right in the front next to the hostess area by a window which was fine but there were flies that kept buzzing around. We ordered off the Devour Indy menu and had: Tortilla chips with salsa and queso, - chips were good but salsa and queso wasn't the best 3 street tacos - the pink taco was very bland and the pink shell, tough pretty looking, was too thick, los cabos and coco cabana tacos tasted better with the mango salsa topping. Churros - was the best part of the meal, it was warm and they were chocolate filled and came with caramel sauce! Margarita - were not great, watered down. The service was slow and we were hardly checked on and when the food came our table was so small it barely fit all the plates which made us feel very cramped. Unfortunately it really wasn't a great experience.

Yelp
Good flavor combos on the tacos, drinks looked good as well. Went with a large meet up group, so lots of different dishes. Heard a lot about the made at the table guacamole, honestly underwhelming. Just a couple half's of avocados and some premix materials, put in the mocohate sp?and ground up. No presentation, no do you want xtra cilantro or onions or.. not worth the money. Tacos were small but filling, but at 6$ per taco, this is an expensive taqueria. Nice ambiance, good service, but at this cost, I won't make the trip up from downtown indy for this.

Yelp
Visited Salty Cowboy for their Devour Indy offerings and had a great time. A lively crowd for a Thursday evening, which is nice to see, especially for a local business. The freshly made guac, chips and queso arrived quickly along with some incredible cocktails (I had the Mezcal berry concoction, which was outstanding) We went with the three taco combo, and I selected the fish, shrimp, and pork BBQ option. And those churros. Oh my. Don't want to spoil the surprise, but you won't be disappointed. SC has secured a spot on our rotation!

Yelp
The food and service exceeded expectations. Order a pitcher of margaritas and stay while. The empanadas and short rib tacos are a must. After dinner try a few of the high end Tequilas. Great selection and good prices.

Yelp
Located in downtown Zionsville, behind the main strip, this restaurant seems to be ran out of an older home turned into a fun taco spot! We went with another repeat couple who recommended for my birthday celebration. We each ordered the salty cowboy margaritas, nachos and veggie tacos! The nachos are HUGE! And quite filling! I probably didn't need to order anything afterwards but I wanted to try their veggie tacos! They don't take reservation so we went during the week and got right in! Good time by all!
