Salty Rose Cottages

We had such a fun time at the Salty Rose. The location is so beautiful, and such a great and scenic drive from Halifax. Bill was very accommodating and friendly. Easy check in and check out with clear instructions. We stayed at the Brier cabin and it was absolutely stunning. All amenities you would need, plus, not much can beat that ocean view and the sound of the waves! Quick (and beautiful) drive into lunenburg via the lighthouse route.

We stayed in the Bayberry cottage, a one bedroom cottage, and it was perfect for the two of us. The cottage is so cozy, welcoming and very well equipped with everything you need. The cottage is right on the beach and we enjoyed our meals out on the screened in porch overlooking the ocean. There is also a wood burning stove for chilly nights. The bed is super comfy and it’s so relaxing to fall asleep listening to the waves. You can walk a long way in both directions on the beach from the cottage. The beach is soft sand and it’s a very gradual slope into the water. We definitely plan on returning as the area is so charming and there is lots to explore.

Beautiful place, very responsive owners, canoes for use. Super soft sand. Loved it here. Hope to return again.

Dreamy cottage on the beach! Our family stayed in the Rosehip! Beautiful location. Even with other cottages around, the grounds were very quiet! We felt as if we were the only ones on the property most of the time. A short drive to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Thank you for sharing your property with us .

If you have the chance to go to Salty Rose Cottages, don't miss it. This place is a little piece of heaven. The cottage we stayed in, the Brier, was perfect in every way. Not one thing I needed was missing. Impeccably maintained and clean with a view of the ocean and beach (and a pond!). Very tranquil setting and close to so many places. Visited the Ovens Natural Park which was awesome! Lunenburg is 15 minutes away! And a hidden gem a couple minutes away, Rose Bay General Store and Bistro. We were booked for two nights and ended up staying a third. Highly recommend the Salty Rose Beach Houses!

We booked this place to have a little getaway from the city. Great customer service, great cottage, great views!! We fell in love with this gem of a place. We were able to park and spend our entire trip here without leaving. The cottages have everything you would ever need, and being right by the beach made it hard to leave. I can understand why so many people are repeat visitors, we’ve already booked another visit.

Our cottage at Salty Rose was beautiful and peaceful. It was comfortable and very well equipped. Even with damp, drizzly weather during our stay, we were able to enjoy the surroundings from our screened-in porch.

We loved our stay at Salty Rose and would highly recommend staying in these beautiful cottages. We were a family of four, stayed in Rose Hip cottage for a week. We had a wonderful week exploring the area and doing day trips. We went to LaHave by ferry, Lunenburg, Annapolis Valley, Peggy's Cove, Halifax, many beautiful hikes, sea kayaking from Blue Rocks, & Kiji National Park..The cottage is clean, beautiful and well equipped for everything you need. So nice to come back to after a day of exploring. The view is gorgeous. We loved sleeping at night with the balcony door open and listening to the ocean. Bill is a fantastic host, & will help with anything and answer all your questions about this amazing area of Nova Scotia.

I have stayed at Salty Rose twice now and each time has been a magical experience. They are wonderful cottages in a wonderful location. I love the ocean and you are only a few feet away from it. Take a walk on the mud flats at low tide and get in touch with nature. All you have to bring is some food and a good bottle of wine and the rest is there. Highly recommended for get aways.
