Went to Salumeria Rosi with my handicapped Grandma. The owner/manager was super helpful and accommodating. He did a lot to make sure that my Grandma was comfortable. All of the food was outstanding, with the exception of the lamb chops which were nearly impossible to eat. It’s a typical New York City restaurant so not very spacious and I would definitely recommend making a reservation to ensure that you get a table. I would definitely come back here, I want to try everything on the menu!

Food is good although portion size is quite small. Spaghetti with clams had tiny clams and the flavor was quite ordinary—I’ve had this dish at many Italian restaurants in the United States and in various towns in Italy. This dish here is only ordinary. The pasta is not al dente, and the olive oil didn’t taste like high-quality Italian olive oil, and the clams are just too small, and perhaps it’s lacking some garlic flavor (in Italy this dish is usually cooked with garlic and the olive oil and parsley flavors should stand out as well as the vongole). For the price they charge, I expect better. Appetizer was very good though, still portion size is quite small compared to other Italian restaurants in UWS. The puttanesca is good though a bit salty. They have both indoor seating and sidewalk seating. Sidewalk seating is on a busy main street so you might get some strange reactions from passersby.

We’ve been searching for an authentic Italian experience outside of Italy and Salumeria Rosi fits the bill. This place was recommended to us by complete strangers and we were not disappointed. Really enjoyed dining outside on the patio on a beautiful day. Great food, great vibe, and great staff. We are not locals, but will definitely be back on our next trip to NYC.

Excellent Italian restaurant. Eaten here multiple times and each time the meal and overall experience have been great. Creative appetizers, delicious pasta dishes. Their daily specials are highly recommended, service is great - well managed and you can tell employees are happy to be there along with the customers. Give it a try - outdoor seating in summer is a plus as well.

Salumeria Rosi is Italian perfection. The lasagne is layers of cheesy, saucy magic, and they kept bringing bread (aka my love language). Cozy vibe, great service, and food that makes you want to say mamma mia after every bite. My new go-to Italian spot!

We had a great evening at the East Village location. We loved the space, especially the design and lighting—the vibe was lively and fun, and the hospitality was exceptional. The food was excellent. The Negronis were delicious, as was the wine. Standouts included the artichoke starter and the burrata salad, and for mains we loved both the beef stew and the fish. We finished with the tiramisu. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Tiny cute restaurant with nice service and good food. The ricotta and peaches was delicious. The peaches were sweet and the cheese was creamy and rich. Adding some mint and nuts made for the perfect bite. Meat and cheese platter was also very good, the meats was sliced very thin which was great, but I would have appreciated if they told us the types of cheeses we were eating (the meats were obvious). Also would have like to have known what the garnish was as I couldn’t place it, it didn’t taste strong enough to be candied ginger but it may have been. I did ask what all of these were and was told someone would come and explain but they never did. Bread basket was a combination of toasted and fresh bread served with tasty olive oil. When you first walk in there is a counter where they sell their meats, cheeses and salads, all looked delicious and while we were they the counter was very busy. Overall liked this restaurant and would recommend.

Came here on a Saturday night prior to a show at the Beacon. Thankful we made a reservation prior as the place was jammed packed. Had a reservation for 6pm and was seated at 6:20pm as the restaurant was very busy. Once seated we ordered right away. Our waiter Evan was friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of selection but we opted for their special of the day - Meatballs Polpette. Also ordered Caesar salad and prosciutto con pistachios. All good and polished up with no leftovers between the two of us. The restaurant was very lively as there were loads of diners, not sure if it is normally like this.

I walked by this place dozens of times and finally stopped in for dinner. Service: I'll start off with the service. The people serving us the food and drinks were lovely, but our waiter wasn't. He was passive-aggressive, impatient, and borderline rude. Even in Europe, where there isn't a tipping culture, I don't think I dealt with service like that. Food: we shared the ricotta with peaches, carbonara (no meat), and cannoli. The ricotta was to die for! It was very delicious and the walnuts helped bring out the taste. The carbonara was underwhelming - the sauce was just not flavorful at all. I'm obsessed with cannoli and I was disappointed. They looked beautiful but weren't crunchy and the powdered sugar on top was an overkill.

Delicious as always. Stopped in here for a solo lunch on a day off and definitely indulged myself. The manager of the restaurant was super nice and friendly. I chatted with her quite a bit! Super cozy restaurant, and I definitely recommend sitting at the bar. I would love to go back and get their sides and meats to go, it really can be a one stop shop. I decided to try everything else on their menu that was not charcuterie for once (though it was very difficult to resist).

Tried this place after our walk at Central Park and loved the food! The cheese & meat board had fresh products and delicious bread accompaniments. I had the gemelli pesto pasta which was great and my boyfriend had the manzo skirt steak dish; he said the steak was seasoned perfectly. We finished all of our food. The thing I love the most was how nice they were to my fur baby; they literally brought a water bowl this place is not only pet friendly, they love dogs! ( you have to sit at the patio like any other nyc restaurant). Giving 4 stars because my spritz drink had too much muddled mint where it was hard to drink it because of the large chunks of mint I would get & the wait on food was a bit long.

We went Saturday. Pretty busy make sure you make reservations. Ordered a cheese dish and salumi. Both were delicious . We ordered 3 different kind of pasta . We had to wait for a long time before we were served. One of the servers apologized. Our pasta dish was tasty but a bit too al Dante for our pallets. Our drinks house wine was ok . They gave us free chocolate's mousse . It was very tasty.

We live right around the corner and finally gave it a try. It's a cozy and intimate restaurant that can get loud in the evenings. Since coming our first time, we've been back several times. We love the rigatoni meat pasta and the burrata with fruit. In the summer, they have a delicious watermelon salad. The burrata is insanely fresh and very rich. They have a deli counter that sells their meats and cheeses if you'd like them to go. We made an antipasti charcuterie board with their goods that was a huge hit. We also recently celebrated a birthday here and they gave us a free chocolate mousse which had my chocolate averse husband swooning. Love everything about this place. The service is great, no issues there. A neighborhood gem!

Came here for a Friday night dinner with my husband. We've had this spot on our list for a while, so I was excited to finally try it out. We started with an order of the prosciutto with melon & mozzarella for our appetizer. It's a classic pairing and we really enjoyed it. The ingredients were super fresh and high quality. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my husband ordered the pancetta sandwich. The homemade pasta was A+ but I didn't care for the sauce at all - it was quite bland and could had used some acid/lemon squeeze. The sandwich was basically a grilled cheese with pancetta with speaks to my heart. He was a bit disappointed with the size and thought it would be better suited for a lunch menu. A few misses were had though.. we sat outside and it appeared that the restaurant manager was sitting next to us. He was having a conversation loudly on speaker phone regarding some scheduling. It ruined the ambiance for us (and the other tables around us) and he just seemed indifferent. It lasted for a while and made things a bit awkward. We both ordered a glass of wine and they completely forgot about it. Once our appetizers were finished and our server bused our plates, it was clear she remembered. The glasses of wine were dropped off alongside our main courses with zero explanation or apology. It was really off putting since we understand mistakes happen but nothing was even acknowledged. I would give this spot one more try based on their high quality of ingredients. Fingers crossed it will be a better experience next time!

Food was ok but waiter was not friendly... Had fish which was too salty and did not taste fresh. Steak was better.

Cozy busy local restaurant with very limited menu. Fairly expensive but the quality of the food is reasonably good. Tables are small. Service is a bit disappointing. The manager seemed extremely nice. But when I asked the waitress if I could substitute the salad, that came with my veal Milanese, with either a little pasta or a vegetable, she insisted that doing so would result in a charge. Considering that they charge $16 for the same salad that they give with the Milanese dish, that was pretty ridiculous. Doubtful we will return.

We met up at this deli/restaurant that is actually way more awesome restaurant than deli even though the deli is kinda big and has just about everything! We dined for a few hours as we met up with some good friends we'd not seen in a long time. We started with one of the best meat/cheese charcuteries of my life! Fresh shaved ham, salami, prosciutto and well...cheese! Amazing cheese like Parmesan, mozzarella and a few others. Absolutely worth the price paid. We all shared our meals so I can tell you we tried a lot. Everything was great but what stood out to me was the lasagna! Simple yet complex flavors. I'd go back for just about anything we ate though. Amazing wines that probably got us into trouble as we stayed so long. Very comfortable seating and very friendly staff!

Salumeria Rosi was amazing! We got a reservation but it wasn't busy around 9:30 when we got there. The place is a bit small, but they have outdoor seating as well. It's a beautiful place and you can tell they use fresh ingredients and take care in their food. My husband and I started with some drinks. The AFFUMICATO was smooth and delicious! I am a fan of mezcal and pairing with pear was a genius decision. My husband got the ZENZERINO (the one in the martini glass) it was very refreshing. A bit too sweet for me, but he loved it. You have the option to do small or large portions. So if you aren't crazy hungry or you don't want to spend too much, you can do smaller portions and they are still a great size. We weren't starving, so we both got small portions. The pasta is handmade and it makes all the difference. The SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce was creamy. The star of the show, however, was the butternut squash risotto! There are amaretto cookies crumbles in top which added a delicious touch of sweetness. I LOVE risotto, and I'd say this is in my top 3 favorites of all time. Service and ambiance were great. This is a perfect spot for a date night!

Good foods, very kind host, bartender, and cook. The fried artichoke was perfectly cooked. I had the best Cacio e pepe. Strawberry sorbet was legit. Pretty crowded for Friday night, I see lots of local folks came, cool vibes!

Now I wish I would've come here sooner and now I know why it's always so busy. Dined here with a reservation on a Sunday at 5:30 and it was already very busy. Although it seems like a tight space it still felt intimate enough where you weren't in everyone else's conversations. I ordered the Ms Pacman, a mocktail, with raspberries and lychee. It was very good! Fruity and refreshing! We started with the roasted peppers with anchovies and the smaller portion of the selezione mista (meats and cheeses). I've never been a fan of anchovies but these were very good. They weren't salty; they reminded me of herring. For the selezione mista, we had 3 different types of meat and 2 cheeses. We then had the branzino, the spaghetti alla carbonara and the orecchiette salsiccia e broccoli. The carbonara was supposed to be a full portion but it didn't look any bigger than the orecchiette portion. The carbonara was okay, not my favorite. The orecchiette was much better! The branzino was good but a rather small portion. Next time might be best to just get antipasti and share pasta. I look forward to going back!

Salumeria Rosi still going strong!!! On our recent visit we shared the fried artichokes and had the small portions of lasagna and spaghettone carbonara -- all outstanding. (Note that they also offer larger portions to share of many of their dishes -- or for big eaters.) Anthony (owner) and his staff were perfect hosts, never hovering, allowing us the table as long as we wanted in their lovely UWS ristorante serving authentic Northern Italian. No room for desert -- next time! Highly recommended.

I stumbled upon this place many years ago - ordered the lasagna - and it's been bliss ever since. This place has a true Italian touch, and there really is an active salumeria with meats and cheeses to go. The place is dark and feels more like a cozy restaurant rather than a salumeria. Olive oil is golden thick and wines are fresh and Italian. House red $12- Bottom line - a slice of lasagna and two red wines will cost you 50 bucks, but you'll be glowing all the way through the next day. Highly recommend fof a pasta and Italian craving. Close to the 1 train.

Great local Italian spot. Been here a few times now and really can't complain or have anything negative to say about it! There's a great outdoor area to sit, which is what I usually do. Recently I sat inside and was incredibly impressed! The decor is amazing. It is a meat shop, so there are meats hanging from the walls - - great touch for an Italian restaurant. The burrata is amazing. It comes with sliced ham, which is a bit unique but I like how different it is from a typical Italian restaurant where normally it would come with prosciutto. The watermelon salad is by far my favorite. So refreshing for the summer and the flavoring is so unique. The combo of watermelon, cucumber and goat cheese is amazing. The fennel salad is also great, as is the Cesar (simple, but excellent). I've tried most of the pastas. I would say the lasagna is something that just needs to be ordered. I'm picky with lasagna (given my aunt that lives in Italy makes the best), so I rarely order it out. I will order it here EVERY SINGLE TIME. I typically also would not order this - - but the rigatoni alla salumeria is amazing. Definitely a great local Italian find! Highly recommend. Also - - every waiter / waitress I've encountered are attentive and just overly delightful!

What a wonderful surprise! Walked by on Sunday and this place was packed. Came back today and the food was excellent. Service was great too

I came to Salumeria for dinner on a Wednesday night with a friend. We had a reservation which I highly recommend since this place was packed already by 5:45pm! Our table was indoors and the ambiance inside the restaurant is just amazing: very elegant, classy, and romantic which would make this place perfect for a nice date. Service was also great, our waiter came by fairly quickly to get our order and gave us some helpful suggestions of what to order. For our dishes we decided to order and split: Caprese salad: wonderful appetizer and perfect to split between two people. The tomatoes and basil were fresh and deliciously garnished with some high quality olive oil and balsamic. The fresh mozzarella that came with the salad was creamy, with a hint of salt, and balanced out the rest of the dish very well. Had the perfect ratio of tomato to mozzarella, not sure if this was intentional but there was a piece of mozzarella for every tomato wedge and I really appreciated it! Rigatoni alla Salumeria (large portion): this pasta was amazing. I'm usually not one to get blown away by pasta dishes but the flavor of this dish was out of this world. The cured meats, onions, and pecorino cheese give it so much flavor that is superimposed over this very good, fresh tomato sauce. Pasta was perfectly Al dente for my taste. 10/10 would recommend. Gnocchi (large portion): probably best gnocchi I've had in NYC since moving here (granted I don't order gnocchi much) but I believe this dish is special. The gnocchi itself has this very complex flavor profile which is probably from the mix of the goat and ricotta cheeses. For those who don't like goat cheese and are worried this might taste too much like it, I actually did not think that flavor was very predominant so I would still recommend that you get this! They just feel like soft pillows with a delicious savory flavor! The tomato sauce they came it was also amazing, I don't understand how they make tomatoes taste so good! Chocolate mousse: light, sweet, and truly a great way to end the meal. Comes with raspberries that give a nice tart balance to the dessert. It's consistency for me felt thicker than other mousses I have had but still airy enough to feel light. Extremely satisfying. Overall, I loved this place. I always walk by when I'm in the area and the ambiance from the outside has always intrigued me so I am happy I was able to experience it! Delicious, fresh Italian food, very nice ambiance with great service, and very conveniently located in the upper west side near a lot of other restaurants, bars, supermarkets. A bit on the pricier end but really worth it in my opinion! Will come back again.

The Place To Go Before The Show! Small in size inside (approximately eight tables) but big in taste as we had an excellent dinner at Salumeria Rosi. The "Prosciutto Con Pistachio" was a wonderful starter. The prosciutto was perfect - the mozzarella soft and beyond fresh. This was pure enjoyment. We both ordered the "Orata" a pan seared sea bream fish with zucchini basil, cherry tomatoes, and snow peas. This was another excellent choice. One can soon believe there are no bad choices at Salumeria Rosi. Desserts included the house made ricotta filled cannolis. A very satisfying finished to a grand meal. Our waiters provided excellent service and were very informative on menu selections and specials. Note 1: There is outside dining however area may feel too congested. Note 2: Salumeria Rosi is also a meat and cheese shop so - if desired - you may bring some of this excellence home.

Salumeria rosi is a gem of a restaurant. The food is authentic and flavorful, with a wide range of options to suit every taste. I loved the coppa and the roasted apples with ricotta, which were a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The service was impeccable. Nicole, our server, was courteous, helpful, and professional. She gave us excellent suggestions and made sure we had everything we needed. I can't wait to go back to salumeria rosi for another memorable meal.

Truly outstanding! We started with the fried artichoke (incredible) and had the Tagliatelle Al Tartufo and the Fusilli Al Pesto. It's nearly impossible to tell you which one was better...but they both were so tasty and so fresh. And the service was warm and attentive. The place is tiny so plan accordingly. There are some outside seats but the sidewalk can get a bit busy. Check this place out. You won't be disappointed

I got a large order of gnocchi here. The flavor was pretty mediocre, and it was horribly overpriced. Plus, I ended up waiting quite a while after placing a takeout order for my food to be ready. I'd skip this one.

The food is amazing and delicious. I could have licked the bowl of my pasta carbonara. It's a very small place but it's NYC so it's expected. Prices were good for the quality of food you get. I would have taken a picture but I ate my meal too quickly!

An excellent restaurant in my neighborhood. I've been there a few times. The last time with a group of friends and everybody enjoyed it.

Wonderful meal hitting all the key spots. Sidewalk cafe setup is lovely, among the nicer ones available on the UWS. Service was friendly and considerate. Drinks and food were fabulous, especially the truffle pasta and the fried artichokes. Despite it being a salumeria, it's rather vegetarian friendly!

We made reservations for 6pm to this spot on a Friday evening. We arrived around 5:45 and were seated right away by the host. The location is very intimate which I love, and the decor was truly simple,but beautiful. We truly enjoyed the food. We ordered the ricotta with roasted apples and Salumeria's signature salad for appetizers . So simple but truly delicious. And had the Spaghetti allá carbonara, and spezzatino. The carbonara was a good dish but needed a bit more flavor. The spezzatino was delicious and so flavorful! The waiters were pleasant, and always checked in on us, I would definitely go back!

Great bacon. Came at Saturday brunch. Just has a salad, porchetta and side of bacon. Everything was great, but I wished I had tried the pasta. We'll be back to give more a try the next time we're in the neighborhood.

We came to Salumeria Rosi for a light dinner tonight and had a nice time. We had brunch here a few weeks ago and it was just ok. This place is definitely better for dinner, which serves delicious, authentic, quality Italian food. The restaurant is quite small, so indoor dining during covid feels a little claustrophobic. So we've been dining outdoors, which they have set up nicely on the sidewalk. If you've never been to this place, the dishes are on the smaller side. The prices are reasonable, though, considering the high quality. My go-to are the Salumeria's Signature Salad and Gnocchi, but I wanted to try something different this time. So we ordered a few drinks with: - Watermelon Salad ($15.50+) - Risotto Cacio e Pepe ($19+) We enjoyed both dishes, as well as the bread basket--I love their focaccia. The only thing I would change is the service, which is quite inconsistent. This restaurant would be even more amazing if they could upgrade their service level.

Best ricotta gnocchi I've ever had!! They were having an event that day at four so the service was mid. (I dined at 2) I sat outside nearest to the public and when I went to use the bathroom they left my credit card on the table with no one there, since I dined alone. Overall, not very thoughtful service but yummy food!! Glad to see another Italian restaurant still giving out free bed. 4 stars bc mmmmm.

Pre show dinner at the Beacon. Wish I had more time to explore/appreciate the cheese and meats. Wonderful small charcuterie to start Mel's we're all good. Above average Italian but nothing spectacular. Good service and fun atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Invited here for dinner by some friends. Found parking in a lot about a block away. Had reservations and was immediately seated inside. Over small in location but mighty in quality and service. After my first bite of pasta I asked for some details and as suspected it was handmade on site that day. I also had the steak "manzo" it was delish ! I asked to have it prepared as the chef would suggest and best move. No additional sauce or additions needed. Had a few, several drinks and they were all great. Service was also great. No rushed, everything explained and suggestions were made. Also felt the meal was spaced out very well. Strongly suggest you try !

Had a wonderful lunch. Took a sidewalk table outside. Truly enjoyed the fennel salad and the ricotta and the finish it off with some Parmigiano Reggiano D.O.P - just great!

Apart from the wonderful food and excellent wine choices, what really sets this restaurant apart for me is the exceptional hospitality, especially from Nicole. She's incredible friendly, remembers our preferences from past visits, and is so accommodating and knowledgeable. Nicole truly enhances the dining experience here.

Went searching by a near by venue, after a comedy show, and stumbled across this gem of a place. Service was terrific from start to finish. Ambiance was great, with dim lighting and beautiful wall decor. Food was terrific - we ordered an appetizer with prosciutto that was to die for. Pasta dishes were amazing, and dessert was heavenly. Overall great experience. W

I found this restaurant following a foodie in NYC on Instagram. Her pics of food looked divine but what I didn't know is how cozy and charming this restaurant is! I had brunch reservations at 11. I was the first customer and the waiter told me to choose my seat- suggesting the window to me. Perfect to people watch. There's a counter where they sell meats, cheese and savory pastries. The clientele knew exactly what they wanted and there was no shortage of customers. I had the yummy crusty French bread and dipped it in olive oil. I asked my waiter for a salad suggestion and he suggested the signature salad which is served warm with a scrambled egg in it. It was a good portion. I added salmon that was perfectly medium rare and crusty. Just like I like it. The salad had the perfect amount of a vinaigrette that wasn't overpowering. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Best Italian in Upper West side! The truffle Gnocchi was outstanding and unforgettable! Service was excellent!

Insalata caprese is the Italian mozzarella salad, nothing too special but not bad. Gnocchi is very chewy and savory, a little too salty. Rigatoni alla campidanese is the best one, it tastes really good.

Salumeri Rosi is second door for me I love food, service and ambiance here employees are super friendly in addition they are pet friendly definitely recommended

Food- consistently excellent! The meat and cheese plate with fried artichokes are top notch. The Caesar salad is probably the best you will ever have! The truffle pasta and the rigatoni are our favorite pasta dishes! The food is delicious and made with the finest imported ingredients. Service- our waiter, Julian was spot on with what to order and this place is managed by NICOLE who is the heart and soul of Salumeria Rosi! She makes sure her customers are treated with care! We give this 5+ and can't wait to return!!!

I bought $60 on two sandwiches and a salad the hosted said I couldnt seat in the dining room...really awful service attitude.. Over priced..... Is totally ridiculous.

Food, wine & cheese is good, I am only giving 3 stars due to poor service and lack of communication within the staff. I made a reservation for me & my dad. I came about 40 minutes prior to my reservation time & requested the guy at the reception (with a black cap) if I can still be accommodated and I was okay to wait for few. He said he couldn't adjust and he asked if I can sit outside, where the table could be ready in 10 minutes. I agreed to wait and kept waiting. I waited 20 mins, that guy disappeared and never returned. He didn't even communicate with another receptionist there about my situation. The female receptionist (sounded like a new hire) was so nice and she helped me eventually get a table. Appetizer plates were dirty, and had to change. We ordered house red wine and Gorgonzola cheese to start with and then 2 pastas as our entrees. We got cheese, bread and my entree, but didn't get any wine. When entrees were served, I had to remind them for the wines we ordered. Overall, not happy, restaurant is definitely not welcoming and I won't return

We go again tomorrow and had a great time with the menu changers and new chef ... you should have three courses and don't forget dessert!! Great fun'
