Salvation Cafe

We had our staff year-end here. Peter, our waiter, was fantastic with managing our 13-people group, he was friendly, engaging and did help us with queries. It is a lovely atmosphere with the surrounding market-like feel! The food was okay, a bit overpriced and the G&T at R92 per drink is quite expensive. The carrot cake is phenomenal (in my view, better than the cheesecake the place is known for).

Very popular with the breakfast and lunch crowd with a very comfy, cozy atmosphere thanks to the blankets and heaters provided in the winter months. We rolled in after a chilly morning spent at the WITS Parkrun and were grateful for the brisk service of getting our hot drinks and food. The breakfast menu is great and well portioned.

Cafe Salvation at 44 Stanley is a great Cafe with good food, top service and beautiful ambience. We had egg shashuka and vegan shashuka with fresh fruit juices which were so delicious and enjoyable.

What a great experience! The food was incredible, and the staff were attentive. The cheesecake truly was divine and lived up to the hype.

The absolute highlight was them giving us blankets since it was chilly outside 🫠 such a thoughtful touch! The atmosphere had great vibes, and the food was spot on.💯

Friendly staff and great food and coffee. Sat by the fire and enjoyed a breakfast here. The cafe is in a small shopping enclave.

Five stars for "salvation" in the temple of consumerism! The Salvation Café is the perfect oasis for exhausted shoppers. Very nice location, fresh ingredients, delicious pancakes, good coffee, friendly staff and sunshine on top of that - what more could you want? The "Salvation Breakfast" is truly redeeming. A little tip: after enjoying the fluffy pancakes, stroke your belly. It feels good 😉

I personally had the Breakfast Nachos, and the kitchen had one thing to get right on my plate. Hot scrambled eggs! They were ice cold. It was incredibly disappointing. The hot chocolate was decadent. Their milk alternative brand is Milk Lab = WIN. The service was rather average. Coffees and hot chocolate's arrived hot, but no check-in after the food was delivered. The brownie was not served warm and I just don't understand that. If it was warm it would probably have been the perfect ooey-gooey consistency. The cheesecake was good, it didn't even need the berries on the side. The carrot pineapple slice was dense, moist and a generous portion. When an establishment has a decent rating, you generally have certain expectations and this visit was a let down.
