Ravello has some of the most exquisite views of any town on the Amalfi coast because it is perched high up- indeed there is a delightful walk down many steps to get to the coastal town of Amalfi. This hotel makes the most of the position and is extremely good value. The rooms are modern, attractive and well appointed. The balcony is generous -in fact our position was so amazing that we bought local produce and dined on our balcony!!! The view was breathtaking and we observed the day gradually turn into evening, the boats make their final trips, the tiny cars weave around the coastal road and the lights of the town below gradually get turned on. The rooms are are conditioned ( vital in the summer), the bed is very comfortable- this place is a complete winner!!!!

Salvatore Ravello's rooftop bar was such a beautiful spot! The exact location is directly south of its Google listing (right at the bend of the road before the tunnel into Ravello). The views at the two-tiered spot are unmatched and the service was warm & hospitable. It was the perfect place for a bite & sip before (or after) dinner or exploring the town! We went every night we stayed in Ravello and miss it dearly, exactly one year after visiting. * This review is only for the rooftop cocktail spot, as we did not stay in the hotel

Google
Extraordinary view and creative takes on delicious local food. Everything was seasoned perfectly with delicious bread and a great selection of wines by the glass. Would recommend this to anybody traveling to Ravello or anywhere in Italy. Ten out of ten deserves a Michelin star. Perfect.

Google
6 of us went to this beautiful location to have our lunch. The scenery was beautiful and a cosy relaxing place to eat. The rating of the following foods are 1. Salted cod - very good and tasty 2. Mixed pasta with potato and calamari - extremely salty, and very unhealthy to your kidney. Don’t eat !!!!! A waste of money 3. Beef tartar - average 5/10 only 4. Slow cooked beef with Genovese sauce - very good and tasty

Avoid this place at all costs! The service is horrible and I agree with the other views which say they seem to not prefer tourists. The food is over priced and the portion size is inadequate. Then they had the audacity to charge an eight euro tip for one place of pasta and one pot roast with no vegetables, just salty and oily bread. It's not worth 25 euro for a view you can't see unless your on the rail and mediocre food. The waiter never came back once after delivering the food and then we had to flag them down after our meal was completed for them to bring our check. Walk a little further to restaurant Vittoria. It's much better.

Google
An absolutely breathtaking bed & breakfast in Ravello. Our room had a million-dollar view, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is part of the family restaurant, so that was very convenient. The homemade cornetti were fresh from the oven, and there was a delicious assortment of fresh fruits. Highly recommended.

Went there for lunch with the family while visiting Ravello. We booked for the terrace and it was a stunning location. The food was excellent as was the service.

Google
Went for dinner for my partners 30th. I’d arranged (or thought I had at least) during the dinner for them to bring some cake with a candle. Never happened and upon leaving, I asked why and they just said “we can’t”.. fair enough but why say you can when you then say you can’t? Pathetic. The food is also ok but way overpriced for what you get. Restaurant Vittoria is far superior and much more reasonably priced. I feel like this place prices their food upon the view you get instead of what they actually serve. Avoid.

Yelp
The view was breathtaking and the service was very attentive. I had the octopus which was different but great

Yelp
Let me start with the view from the outdoor seating looking over the Amalfi Coast. Eccezionale. Bellissimo. Magnifico. We came here for pranzo in Ravello on a private tour of the Amalfi Coast. It was an excellent suggestion from our driver. We were greeted warmly and given the choice of English or Italian menus. Once seated, we started with wine -- a bottle of their casa rosso (house red wine) Costa d'Almalfi Tramonte Rosso ... very good. The food was excellent. We enjoyed great seafood, including outstanding grilled octopus, the best stuffed squid (calamari), and spaghetti with clams. I was really pleased with the "Nduneri" -- ricotta cheese dumplings with stewed veal cheeks in chocolate sauce -- and the sautéed breast of duck. On the pricey side, but we'll worth the visit.

Yelp
The restaurant is not only visually beautiful but the food is amazing ! Stopped by late after a sail in Amalfi and we're so happy with this restaurant. Cannot say enough about the views and the shear beauty of Ravello. Food was delicious and fresh pasta of course. If visiting Ravello add Salvatore to your stay for a wonderful meal

Yelp
Since 1958, Salvatore has been the best restaurant in Ravello. No better food, service or view on the Amalfi coast. When in Rsvello head straight to Salvap.

Yelp
Food - very good and reasonably priced considered the view! The beef Genovesa (sp?) was superb! All courses are made with a slight twist on the usual so be prepared for a "wow factor". Service - service was a little slow but I will chalk that up to the season and the fact that there were a lot of people inside for lunch. Atmosphere - tough to beat!

Yelp
It was a lovely lunch. The staff was very attentive and eager to please. Can't beat the relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy the Amalfi.

Yelp
This restaurant had the best grilled octopus I have had in Italy The tuna tar tar was served over melon which at first was odd to me but the dish was an absolute home run my kids had spaghetti with tomato sauce and loved it as well Views were insane .. restaurant didn't open till 730 which was strange but walked in at opening and sat right on the window with amazing views

Yelp
Everything was OK. We were pretty hungry so went in the place opened with the view of people. Perhaps, ask for upstairs, you might get to see the view of the sea.

Yelp
I'll start by saying this place is on the pricier side. However your paying for the high quality ingredients and the amazing view! We've returned here twice already and every time the food is outstanding. As well as super attentive and friendly staff. I had pasta both times, and both times I was blown away with the flavors. My fiancé had the beef slow cooked and fish the day before and he was shocked by how perfectly cooked it was. Let the photos speak for themselves. My fiancé says the lemoncello spritz is to die for as well he ordered it both days

Yelp
We went for the view but it was the lunch that has stuck in memory, simply incredible. I ordered the pasta special, which I understood had braised beef but did not fully know what I was ordering. It was great. Rolled pasta with ricotta cheese foam, almost like a deconstructed ravioli, and incredibly flavorful beef. A sublime meal. The views of the Amalfi Coast were almost as good as the meal, wish it never ended.

Yelp
I'm so glad that we did not miss this restaurant! I was worried that it would be too touristy, but the chef here is innovative and amazing. We speak a small amount of Italian so I was happy to be able to use it here with the wait staff. They were super attentive and courteous and helped to make the experience enjoyable. Prices were slightly less than New York City, so that was not an issue for me. To me, the food merits the cost. Be aware that this restaurant has a cover of 3 euro per person. We were presented with three amuse bouches which were all delicious. We decided to share the rabbit zeppoles as an aperitivo, which turned out to be an excellent choice. For the main course, I had two dishes in one (from the specials menu): spaghetti squash with pickled onions and veal tartare, finished with cooked pork and onions. It was fantastic. I also tasted the dish my husband ordered - I can't remember what it was called but it had several components to it that bordered on alti cibi - high food art. He commented on how filling it was. Bottle prices were also decent for the Amalfi coast, so no complaints there. They also had a diverse digestivo selection. For dessert, we shared their innovative take on tiramisù. I highly recommend sitting outside on the covered patio. It was raining and it was no problem. I would absolutely return - and, if you weren't sure, do visit this unique restaurant!

Yelp
Our guide on the Amalfi Coast recommended this restaurant. It was the best food we had during our 13 day visit to Italy. The views were amazing, service was great, and the ambiance classy yet comfortable. We tried many different types of dishes and enjoyed all of them. Highly recommend.

The view is outstanding . We went here to lunch with a group of people food was absolutely amazing.

Yelp
Out of more than 20 nice restaurants we ate at on our 17-day Italy vacation between Rome, Florence, Venice, and the Amalfi Coast, this was my top choice. Absolutely delicious food, very friendly and professional service, and stunning view. Our driver for the day recommended it but we had trouble finding with the GPS direction which usually fails in towns like Positano and Ravello (layers in a vertical town rather than flat cross streets). We asked a lady in a pharmacy nearby and she pointed out easy direction and said "Salvatore is a Master Chef", and she wasn't wrong. We had a great lunch in the main restaurant but they also have a pizzeria. The place was empty around noon but started filling up quickly. I ordered the rolled lamb, my wife ordered the sea bass and my daughter ordered the pasta. Yum yum yum, everything melts in your mouth. I'm amazed someone below compared it to Taco Bell, WTF?

Yelp
Easily the greatest view of any restaurant I have eaten at in my entire life. The view is beyond that which you would see on a postcard. The food is a fresh take on traditional Amalfi Coast fare, and the chef displays his genius with the amuse-buche (lemon gel with beer foam on top - yes, it tastes delicious) and their house-baked bread, a flatbread featuring a diverse array of seeds and baked-in onions. The 'nuderi were sublime and top any gnocchi I ate on this trip. The waiter service is prompt and reasonably attentive (read: incredibly attentive for Southern Italy), with waiters knowledgeable regarding the ingredients and flavors of each dish. The establishment is not a traditional Campanian trattoria or ristorante, but rather offers a forward-thinking and artful take on the regional fare. The stuffed squid was excellent and booked to perfection. The kitchen divided each dish for me and my girlfriend, thereby reducing some of the "hold on, take this" that comes with the usual "switcheroo" business. Overall, I give Da Salvatore 5 Stars.

Yelp
Spectacular view and a great lunch with a really nice wait staff! Surprisingly creative dishes that we weren't expecting. We had a great lunch that was the standout of our time in Campania. Also, they have a parrot.

Yelp
Amazing views and amazing food. Ravioli was delish. Loved the octopus. My kids loved the parrot.

Yelp
The "pizzeria" downstairs was more reasonably price along with quick service, good pizza, and great portions!

Jill S.

Yelp
With the spectacular view, creative and delicious food, this was a meal to remember! In fact, one of the best dining experiences I've ever had... in Italy or anywhere.

Yelp
The chef here is absolutely brilliant and wildly creative. I can't speak for how the more traditional Italian dishes stack up, but the menu has mostly innovative takes on traditional fare and everything we ordered was out of this world. From the breadcrum crusted egg, slab bacon and zucchini flower appetizer to the risotto over burrata, do yourself a favor and walk a hair off the beaten path to eat here. And reasonable to boot, for such exquisite and unique tastes. A few house appetizers delivered by the chef and an attentive staff make this a no brainer if you're in Ravello (view is also killer).

Yelp
The food is not that great. It's food anyone could make at home. Taco Bell and Chipotle are honestly better than this restaurant. The only up side is that they did have vegan/vegetarian options on the menu. The service was not good. We had a party of about 20 people and some of us waited an hour for the food to come out.

Yelp
We drive the Amalfi coast and it is spectacular to say the least , took a turn to Ravello. We found Salvatore's. Wow. I mean this chef is and Artist. The food is stunning and tastes just as amazing. They bring you "welcome plates" that are only a indication of what's to come. Our service was great as well. But then there's the view. It's difficult to get a great view with amazing food. You cannot miss this little gem.

Yelp
Skip the bruschetta, it'll break your teeth. The bread is hard as a rock. The lonely Planet advertises the pizza here as the best outside of Naples; pizza in Naples must then be mediocre at best. Toppings on the pizza were fine but nothing special.

Yelp
Thanks for making it even more difficult to leave Ravello. Food and service as excellent as the views. Apparently I was so effusive about the entire experience that servers wanted me to meet the chef, who warmly shook my hand. Menu so diverse and varied that I let servers choose. Best bread on first trip to Italy kept warm by heated brick. I'm generally frugal and practical but didn't mind the price (or even, for the first time in Italy, being surrounded by other English speakers).

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Definitely a creative twist on food here! I have to say half of the items were good and the other half not so much. Our meal started with a small appetizer (not good), then a cold pumpkin/mushroom soup (not good). We chose cheese pancakes and stuffed squid for our main entree. The pancakes were delicious but the stuffed squid tasted salty and way too rubbery. The dessert though!!! Amazing lemon solo cake and tiramisu. The presentation of all items was fantastic. I was just expecting better tasting food from a place so highly recommended. The views from the restaurant and patio area are wonderful. We drove up to Ravello for dinner and it was quite eventful on the winding and narrow road! There's a parking garage on the street below the restaurant. We heard some other people trying to get a ride back down the hill around 9:00 and there were no taxis around. My advice is to schedule a driver or drive if you're brave enough.

Yelp
The restaurant has an absolutely stunning view (the only reason I gave it two stars) and the food is not completely horrible but if you are traveling through Italy for the food- do not stop here. It is very overpriced and not very good. You can do way, way better. It is an Italian restaurant ashamed to serve Italian food and in any other country would just come across as a crappy restaurant with an identity crisis.
