A great market to visit on Thursdays! It has a very local and authentic feel, not touristy at all. There are many fruits and vegetables, cheese, meat, bakery, and wares vendors spread around the building and surrounding plaza. If we weren’t leaving Salzburg that morning we definitely would’ve gotten some food here.

This is a great market for everyone! There was everything from vegetables, to fruit, to flowers, to meat, to bread! It is a great place to practice your German language skills if you are a traveler from abroad. no one is rude if you mess up your German, they kindly correct you and it is a very easy interaction. There is a very laid-back atmosphere and everyone is generally cheerful and happy. A very nice place to be on a Thursday morning.

Such a wonderful market to soak up the culture and enjoy local foods. You can tell that this is a valued treasure by the locals. The elderly and the young alike are shopping and enjoying all the culinary delights. There is plenty to eat and see here. Worth the stop!

Very good place to buy fresh fruit but beware on seller choices. Seller gives us a box with few rotten strawberry which can be seen on top but we chosen a box which don't have it. I seen the price as 500 forint for 1/2, but upon paying and was told its 650, as seller weigh the strawberry on his weighting scale. Look shock but paid as we have selected our choice. Lucky strawberry taste sweet with 2 or 3 pcs taste sour

So lucky to walk into it today by accident!! So much fun!! And I got fresh mini plums, honey cookies back to the hotel. Had best fried chicken and currywurst 😍😍😍. It’s huge! Wish I live close by to bring everything home to taste.

Large outdoor farmer‘s market with plenty of venders selling produce, meat and sausage, cheese, and bread. A smaller assortment of prepared foods like sausage rolls (excellent) and fried chicken (very popular). Fun to walk around and end up at Mirabelle Gardens and then a short walk to the Altstadt area.
