Had a great brunch here! The service was perfect—staff were super friendly, outgoing, and quick to respond. ☕️Coffee was average, but the pricing is great for the portion size. The biscuit & sausage gravy was definitely the star—highly recommend♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️! The 🍞Weekender is a solid classic American brunch plate, though the fried potatoes🥔 were a bit too hard. The rest of the dish was decent. Really liked the classic French toast—not overly sweet, which I appreciate. The 🫐berry sauce added a nice tangy contrast that balanced the dish well.

Google
I found an amazing place. This is the cutest cafe in New Jersey. Very colorful and atmospheric, the staff is so wonderful because you can feel the atmosphere of friendship, comfort and kindness. Today I am here for the second time, and definitely not the last, I ordered avocado toast with eggs, and it is very tasty, as if all the products were from the farm, although I do not know for sure. The coffee is so aromatic, and the mood and impression that they gave me from the very morning are priceless, I highly recommend

Google
We were in the area. It was a great choice. We had the "Avocado Toast w Eggs" and "The Classic French Toasts". Definitely good options and I can recommend. My only suggestion is to ask not to put black pepper on the egg (I am not a big fan). The coffee was also really good. We had a really good meal. Also, the place is cozy and there are not that many tables. I suggest you make a reservation.

Google
I visited Sam a.m. the day after my birthday, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The staff was friendly, the food was fantastic, and the vibe in Jersey City was just what I needed. If you haven’t checked them out yet, definitely give them a go! it’s worth it. P.S. I’m obsessed with their rye bread and black tea!

Google
I loved this place so much. Went there to have breakfast and got a table in the balcony which usually is not the best. But not here, we had the best seats on the house. Chef Francis has a very unique way to give warm welcome to any new guests. The place has such a nice atmosphere, everybody was happy and being so nice to all customers. I had delicious food, the best espresso I’ve had in the city was made by Leticia and had great service from David. Can’t go wrong here! If you’ve never been, you must visit!

Google
Sam a.m. has never let me down. It’s a neighborhood staple and one of my top 3 favorite restaurants of all time. The food is always delicious and always tastes like a home cooked meal made with love. The staff is incredible. They make you feel so welcomed. Chef Francis is always making everyone laugh. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Trust me, you will be coming back for more!

A cozy cafe close to the river. Cafe had a warm and cozy vibe. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a to go coffee and enjoyed the quality and taste of my flat white. Like to try their brunch sometime soon.

Google
sam a.m. in Jersey City is an absolute gem. The food and coffee are consistently outstanding, with every dish and every cup crafted to perfection. From the first sip to the last bite, you can taste the care and quality that go into everything they serve. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, striking that perfect balance between cozy and vibrant. But what truly sets sam a.m. apart is the people. The staff has an incredible way of making you feel like a regular, whether it’s your very first visit or your fiftieth. Their genuine friendliness and welcoming energy create an experience that goes beyond just a meal—it’s like catching up with old friends. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you're going on the weekend go early! The first time I tried eating here I came at 11 and the wait was going to be 45 min so this time I came at 10am and there was no wait. Ordered the grits special and salted caramel latte after reading the reviews. Wasn't a big fan of the grits - it was too clumpy for me and even with the ranchero sauce there wasn't much flavor. Pretty steep at $20 as well. The salted caramel latte was nice and sizable. My friend ordered one of the breakfast sandwiches and left half of it on the table. We probably sat there for a little over an hour but man the wait staff kept asking us if we were done with our food (I counted 3 times). They were really trying to get us out for the next batch of customers and I really felt rushed to finish. Granted the restaurant is pretty small so they don't have many tables but rather than checking in how we were enjoying the food it was really more of checking if we were ready to leave. Had high expectations for this one and left quite disappointed.

Yelp
Walking distance from where I live. It's very small inside but it kinda gives a small town diner feel. Like if you come more than once you get to know the staff personally and they know you when you walk in. Absolutely love that. My husband loves getting their biscuits and gravy. Breakfast options are so good which is what we usually go for. I especially love the honey badger latte. Their salads though are huge and really good and filling. One of my go to places.

Yelp
Food 8/10 A very filling and heartwarming sausage gravy over biscuits brunch. Creamy, rich, and the sausage bits added a nice touch of texture. The french toast also came with a beautiful berry compote. Wish I could bring it home. Both portions were very reasonable too. Atmosphere 8/10 We put our names down and waited around 15 minutes to get seated. The interior is very cozy, it seems as if they repurposed an old apartment to become a brunch / cafe spot on the first floor of the building. Rustic New England vibes. Service 10/10 Super friendly staff, I felt very at ease and enjoyed the hospitality and warmth.

Yelp
One of the best brunches I had in the area! Cozy neighborhood vibe with cute decors. The space is quiet small and there will be a wait on the weekends, but it was faster than expected (30 minutes on Saturday morning). The servers are very friendly as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute spot! i got the atlantic sandwich and a tea and both of them were very good. The service was quick as I went on a Monday morning. I loved that i can sit outside and enjoy myself. Note, I didn't think that the salmon was super fresh but otherwise the sandwich was

Yelp
This place was awesome! The food was great, the service was on point and the atmosphere makes you want to keep coming back. We ordered americanos and two of omelettes that were on the special menu for the day. They accommodated us and allowed us to switch it up a bit. If you are in the area it is definitely worth checking out the menu has some awesome options including avocado toast and grits and sausage gravy.

Yelp
The food here was great! We arrived on a Saturday afternoon as a party of three. We were told the wait would be about twenty minutes, but the actual wait turned out to be about 45-50 minutes. When inside, we could tell why -- the store was pretty small with only 1-2 tables for parties more than two. I got the daily special sandwich, which was the caprese sandwich for that day. It was a little more sweet than I expected, but it was still delicious nonetheless. The coffee though was pretty mid, so I would recommend to skip the lattes. Would come again to try other menu items, but only in a party of 1-2.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place!! It's such a cute hole in the wall breakfast spot and it's not too pricey. I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes with some side bread and it was delicious. We also order a Cuban sandwich and some coffee. They were out of the one French toast dish. The food is not revolutionary or extravagant, it's very well done traditional breakfast. They also have a lot of sandwich and salads in addition to being a breakfast spot. In fact, I thought most of their items were non-breakfast. There was about an hour wait and no real waitlist which in addition to the food being very good but typical breakfast food is why I'm giving one less star. I also wish they had waffles on the menu or pancakes and am not sure why they don't. I would go back for sure!

Yelp
This place is an always go to for brunch. Being an eggeterian, I've practically tried all egg dishes on their menu and loved them! The owner is very fun, kind and gels well with the patrons. The place usually has a long wait if you're not there by opening time, but the wait is worth it. It's a small hole in the wall space, with amazing food. I'd encourage them to try for an outside license too, so more people can be seated and enjoy their food.

Yelp
Such an amazing experiance and time at Sam a.m. The staff, the food, and the ambiance were amazing. We felt so welcome. Thanks for an amazing afternoon. 5 stars all the way. Extra kudos to Francis "chef" for being an amazing human and making us feel like we were family. Looking forward to next time already!

Yelp
Needed to catch up with the girls before some of us leave for an Asia trip. We found this gem in jersey city! The interior is pretty small but has a vintage ambiance and definitely provided a homey brunch experience. The service was great and the employees were so polite and attentive. We went on a Wednesday so it was not packed. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was all 10/10!!! I can imagine them getting super busy on weekends. Three lattes, three entrees and two extra meats total was only about $90 (with tip). Very reasonable and yummy brunch. Totally recommend!!!

Yelp
Been here a few times. Always feels like an episode of cheers-- there are some real personalities working here. Wait on the weekends is borderline ridiculous but the food is solid. The coffee is good (local roasters), the biscuits run out quick so order them when you get there, and everything I've had has been tasty. The crowd really deters me on the weekends but I never regret it once I've eaten. Avoid if you don't like long waits or tight seating. Take to go if you live nearby.

Yelp
A tiny space, we overheard there's only nine tables, but somehow we got lucky and got a table for two as soon as we arrived. We ordered coffees first and then our food, both took awhile to come out but it seems that they only had one waitress, a barista, a busboy and a cook. The mugs are a really cute rustic look, though mine was cracked, and the lattes in them were nicely made. I ordered the avocado toast, which came with a bit of unexpected chili oil that I really liked. My partner got the breakfast platter, and it met his approval. We ate everything!

Yelp
This always a go to spot for us. The food amazing Staff is so friendly also the customers. And it's so small and quaint you don't mind the wait or taking it to go. It's just as good as eating in. When you see it order the coleslaw .

Yelp
I walk past this place a lot and decided to stop in for breakfast. It very cozy and comfortable inside with around 6 tables. They also have outside seating - which I did since it was a nice morning. The people are very pleasant and helpful. I tried the zucchini, roasted tomatoes and mozzarella omelette which was one of the specials. It was very tasty. It was early on a weekday so there was no wait. It comes with potatoes and toast. I wanted a cappuccino but their machine was down so I had a regular coffee which was very good. I want to come back and try some of their other special omelettes.

Yelp
Sam A.M. offers some tasty food, but the overall experience was marred by a few drawbacks. While the dishes were well-prepared and enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. The coffee was below average, lacking the quality one would expect. Additionally, the space is quite limited, making it difficult to accommodate parties larger than two. In our case, there was an opportunity to seat three people, but the staff chose not to accommodate us. This lack of flexibility detracted from our visit. Overall, while the food is commendable, the service and coffee need improvement.

Yelp
An update on this review. I got the Atlantic sandwich (salmon cream cheese onion lettuce) and it was really good, the salmon was nice and fresh. Soft bread and friendly service. I think this is just one of those spots where you should eat in instead of take out. Would still never get the chai again though :)

Yelp
I loved this place! I am in town visiting but the friendly vibe of this place made me feel at home! It made me feel slightly emotional just how kind the staff was to everyone who came in, they have so many regulars! The food was amazing! So delish!

Yelp
This was the first restaurant we ever went to when we were looking for apartments in Jersey City. It is the perfect definition of a small town eatery in a city setting. The owner is always there and he's always talking to the people who are dining. There is nothing I don't like on the menu. But my default is always avocado toast. The iced coffee is made fresh and it's delicious. The bathrooms are adorable. The seating area is adorable. The outdoor seating is adorable. It's a tiny little place with so much character. I highly recommend going if you're in the area. Whether you live here or if you're visiting

Yelp
For a small Jersey hole in the wall, this place packs the full experience. On a busy Sunday with a family of 7, took under 20 minutes to get in...... an amazing feat as they only have 9 total tables inside. Super friendly from the get go from taking placing us on the wait list, which they crafty write on the glass window so you can see where you are on the list and don't have to ask. Once we were seated we were greeted by Francis, our server who 10/10 you can tell enjoys what he does. He had some terrible one liners that made us laugh and had great recommendations as well as provided us the specials of the day. So first up were the drinks. We had the Salted Caramel Latte with oat milk, Honey Badger Latte, and my son had a Hot chocolate. All three were amazing! Next, the food. So we got the French Toast was thick cut challah dipped the traditional way and covered with berry compote and mascarpone, the weekender breakfast platter was a traditional eggs sausage potato hash and sourdough toast, and grilled cheese of sourdough. Again, everything was delicious and all plates were down nearly licked clean by my kids. Overall I would come here as a regular if I lived here. In addition to all of the above, it's located in close proximity to transit for our visit to Manhattan but not in a busy hustle and bustle area. Great experience great food.

Yelp
Great food and vibes! Gets busy on weekends but worth the wait. Chef looks scary but is actually super nice.

Yelp
Must try all the food and beverages every time you go! The love put in his food should be required by all restaurants. You taste the love, quality and freshness!

Yelp
Sam A.M is a lovely little breakfast spot in the Paulus Hook neighborhood. Very familiar for locals and a great place to have a cup of coffee and a bite to eat! Their breakfast is delicious and their specials like the ropa vieja are totally worth it! I'm obsessed with this Honey Badger Latte!
google avatar

Yelp
Adorable ambiance, awesome service and amazing food. This little place is so busy because it is so good! Many locals stop by for take out and the seating keeps moving if you're patient. Everyone is kind and friendly! The food comes out quick and just so delicious. I had the oatmeal with fruit and nuts so yummy! My husband had the eggs and toast perfectly cooked eggs! The owner was friendly and his music choices were fun and added to the vibe of the experience. This place is the bomb!

Yelp
8.13.23 Group of 4 came on Sunday morning for brunch. Wait was long, originally was told 30 min but ended up being an hour. Honey badger latter is popular drink item, honey didn't melt into iced drink so would prob order hot next time. Vanilla latte was delicious. Order caprese sandwich which was nice and simple (tomatoes cheese pesto) but I would have preferred it cold. Hot sliced tomatoes isn't the best on a sandwich. Would have also been nice with some arugula or a green. My friends ordered chicken salad sandwiches which they loved. Pecan sticky bun was ok, wouldn't get again. Prices are reasonable, party of 4 total was under $100. Overall such a cute place, would be back.

Yelp
Pro tip: You can have your order to-go and take take the outdoor seats if you don't want to wait for the indoor seatings! * Iced oat latte ($5.50) - good coffee! * French toast ($14) + Berries & Mascarpone ($4) - I really think that the berries and mascarpone cheese elevated this dish so much. So if you're thinking about it, just do it! Drop that $4 and have a really sinful but delish French toast! * The weekender ($14) - Unfortunately, I didn't think this was $14.. the portion of potatoes was really small and they initially forgot about my toast too. However, the toast did taste really yummy, but not like $14 yummy.

Yelp
The food was surprisingly GOOD. I came across this special little place through social media. I have been wanting to try it for a while so today I thought what the hell. It's a very small place, not good for groups of more than 2-3 (in my opinion). It's tucked away in a nice area of Jersey City (beware parking is scarce) not too far of a walk from the waterfront over looking lower Manhattan. I had the pleasure of having the special of the day which was the apple pie french toast (DELICIOUS), my companion had the weekender (also very delicious). The food tasted very fresh, prepared very well, seasoned well & came in a timely manner which was surprising as they had about 1000 to go orders as well as a full dine in area. I also had the homemade vanilla latte which was really good (I'm not really a coffee drinker) The staff was very informative, friendly and pleasant. Would take their time to ensure you knew all their options, so you ordered exactly what you wanted. The drinks came out in a timely manner as well as the food. I will definitely visit this restaurant again. My only negative review is that this establishment is a little small, especially for someone of my stature (I'm tall with broad shoulders). We were sat right next to the door which was unpleasant as there were constantly people coming/standing in our area.

Yelp
While I did not get a name the gentleman who worked as host and then server was absolutely amazing. He made jokes and kept a simple lunch very enjoyable. The restaurant is small and you may miss it while passing by but it's nice stop if your in town
google avatar

Yelp
Always wanted to investigate what the buzz is all about. Have seen scores of people waiting outside to grab their order. So I ventured on a Tuesday morning for a cafe latte. The place was really cozy, narrow to be precise. Open kitchen besides the indoor seating. Had to squeeze myself in and wait for the order. Customer service was good. People were nice and prompt. Coffee is good! Loved their cafe latte. It was so good that I didn't wanna spoil the taste by adding sugar. It's your neighborhood coffee shop. Will return for brunch!!

Yelp
This is the THE spot to go to for breakfast in jersey city. The food is amazing. The daily specials are always so good and made from the heart. But the chef is very special, he always has very fun stories and jokes. While we do frequent Sam am, there is one time I will always remember when the chef hosted my mother and fiancé and me at the counter and told us stories and gave us great food and it was this beautiful experience we will never forget. What an amazing gem of a place! Thank you Sam AM. Also- the pistachio twists are a must try and they always sell out!!!!!!

Yelp
The people were so friendly :)) We came with a large group for saturday brunch with no reservation (i know, amateur move). We waited for quite a while, but the staff were so sweet checking up on us and giving updates on time. The food was pretty good. Highly recommend the french toast, very filling. The atlantic was pretty good. I will say the bread was really hard, like even hard for ciabatta... lowkey everybody w sandwiches in our party was struggling lol. Would definitely come back! Such a cute place

Yelp
We went here for brunch on Sunday. The place was packed so we had to wait. But it was quick, we only waited for 10 minutes to be seated. We were lucky as we had a table by the large window. The view was very nice and peaceful. We ordered Pastrami with Ruben, Daily Special grits (Shrimp), and the Weekender. The foods were good. We loved the Pastrami and Salad. For the drink, we had Honey Badger Latte, Salted Caramel Latte, and Hot Coffee with Oat Milk. The lattes and coffee were amazing. The Honey Badger Latte was flavorful. We totally recommend it. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance was warm and cozy.

Yelp
Great neighborhood brunch spot!! Came in on a weekday for a brunch/lunch to avoid the long weekend wait times. They have some indoor/outdoor seating with a cute little patio out front that could seat bigger groups. We ordered the French toast and their daily soup special w/ a grilled cheese. My mom loved her French toast which she got with berry compote and mascarpone! I got the chicken noodle soup which was so delicious and opted to add a grilled cheese ($6). The grilled cheese was one of the best I've had on thick slices of fresh baked bread and tons of fresh, gooey cheese. Service was really friendly and quick, would definitely recommend for a nice breakfast, brunch or lunch spot!

Yelp
The food is great, I dream about the avocado toast. The staff are also friendly and efficient, and don't make you feel rushed. Support your local business and definitely try Sam a.m, you won't regret it.

Kristy V.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Jersey City & for several reasons - the honey badger latte is my ultimate favorite with a not too sweet taste, the comfort of the intimate seating early morning (it does get pretty packed if you go too late), avocado toast with sunny side up eggs, and the service is attentive. The owner often makes an appearance at each table assuring quality and satisfaction which makes this a very genuine experience.
google avatar

Sama C.

Yelp
Simple menu with lots of flavors! This is a cute brunch spot with lots of flavors to hit those taste buds. From the drinks to the food you'll walk away with a smile on your face and in your tummy. Make sure to come early and place a reservation. Outdoor and indoor seating. Also, you can place pick-up orders. The staff is courteous and the owner is very personable. I liked how they had the plastic utensils individually packaged. No wash and reuse here. Paper straws for the eco-friendly patrons.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise!! My girl and I came up to NYC for the weekend. Long story short, our hotel was overbooked so they placed us in Jersey City. Sunday morning we slept in and woke up hungry. A yelp search brought up this place and here we are. We called ahead and were told of a wait time. So, we drove up, placed our name on the list, and waiting in the car. We did NOT know this place is literally in the middle of some brownstones, smack dab in the neighborhood. It actually looks like it is a converted home. So yes, it's quaint. To us that meant it would be worth the 30-minute wait. And it was. The special that day was a shrimp & grits w/chile verde. My girlfriend got that. I'm a sausage & gravy fan so I ordered that AND a waffle. Greedy, I know. In my defense it was supposed to be a kids waffle (it looked like a big ass adult waffle to me). I LOVE sausage & gravy and this did NOT disappoint. I'm a bit of a salt-oholic and this needed NONE. The sausage was soooo tasty, the gravy was thick, and the biscuits were soft. YUMMY! The waffle could have used a bit a cinnamon, but it was still good. And yes, I ate it all. The coffee was decent. I'm a dark roast fan (I like it strong) so I had a macchiato and THEN a regular coffee. That did the trick. This was a cute spot. The team was very engaging and their attitudes were infectious (in a good way). They were all pleasant and glad we were there. You could tell they were trying to get every body in as soon as possible, but we didn't feel rushed. That was great. Nice place.

Yelp
The staff here were super friendly. Coffee is good. The food is normal. Can't complain about it. Would come back to try some other things. But you can't really mess up on breakfast food. Would recommend here for breakfast or lunch. Small shop so might have to wait a little bit if they are full inside.
google avatar

Vinny B.

Yelp
Love this place and worth the wait! Its a cute lil cafe in Paulus hook, they are quick to get you inside. The service was great and the staff was super nice. Started with the honey badger latte which has beepollen and honey, not too sweet and it was great. Most places would make something like that too sweet. I got the broccoli cheddar omelette which was the special, and it had the perfect amount of cheese and broccoli. Potatoes were great and much better than neighboring areas, and toast was sourdough with just the right amount of butter. My wife had the french toast, sooo good! Compote is not too sweet, and the toast is perfectly cooked. Will be back again!

Yelp
The absolute best!!! Nothing compares to SAM A.M for breakfast/brunch. Francis and staff are the nicest people - Totally Worth the hour or 2 wait - if you love food come here!

Jamie H.

Yelp
This place looks so cute from the outside! It's a small shop with limited seating inside (also because of COVID), but it feels very cozy. My friends and I stopped by on a rainy Saturday morning around 11 am and there was only about a 5-10 minute wait. The service was pretty good, and one of the servers even offered another cup of coffee (we ordered an unlimited coffee) for take-away. We ordered two Weekenders, two homemade vanilla lattes, a BLT with avocado, and a green goddess sandwich. The Weekenders were nothing special but the bread was really good. The true winner was the green goddess sandwich, the sauces and the ingredients with the bread made for an awesome match. The BLT I ordered was pretty good as well, but I opted to add in avocado for $3.00 and unfortunately, the $3 only gives you maybe a tablespoon of smashed avocado spread onto one side of the sandwich. Overall, sam a.m. is a nice place to stop by and enjoy a simple breakfast/brunch as the menu is small and dainty and service is good. The prices are a bit high so I wouldn't frequent it too often, but it's nice for a simple little get-together once in a while.

Yelp
Such a cute brunch restaurant in jersey city! When we got there, there were so many people waiting to get in. We asked how long and said around20min but I think it took us at least 45min. We were finally seated and ordered honey latte and americano and the coffee were delicious. We also ordered the avocado toast, daily special grits and french toast with everything added. Everything came out so quick despite the long wait we had for the table. Avocado toast tasted like usual but the bread was soft so it made it way better than other avocado toast! The daily special grits was beef stew and we arent a huge fan of grits however this grits was so delicious. The beef and sauce everything went so well together. French toast was just unbelievably delicious. I honestly think its one of the best french toast ive ever had. The mascarpone on top with berry was absolutely amazing. The toast itself was so soft , i can eat this everyday. If you are in jersey city, i highly recommend here for brunch even with a long wait! I will wait over and over for a brunch here.

Yelp
8 years after a not so great visit, sam a.m. is now a weekend favorite spot. Almost every weekend, actually! Gregarious and welcoming staff - high energy personality forward - and week in, week out steadiness make this a Jersey City favorite. I usually get The Weekender: eggs any style, breakfast potatoes, sausage, and rye toast, which is more than enough to start any Saturday or Sunday. Ask for the jam on the side and definitely try the homemade hot sauce, which is very tasty. Also, don't overlook the soup of the day. The Jersey tomato basil soup is full of flavor, one of the best tomato soups I've ever had. Today, I tried the melon gazpacho with prosciutto, which was unique and excellent, perfect on a warm summer day. Word to the wise: since there is often a wait for a table, put yourself on the wait list and walk down the street to get a Prosecco while you wait for your name to be called. Enjoy!

Donika J.

Yelp
Loved everything about it, the 30 min wait we were promised turned out to be less than 15 mins. The staff was very friendly and engaging. I usually prefer peppers and onions in my home fries so I was a bit hesitant after learning their home fries was just potatoes, NO REGRETS! The potatoes were moist, tender, and flavorful. Everything from my eggs to my bacon was prepared exactly how I requested it. It was worth the trip from Brooklyn. Definitely plan to return.

Yelp
Cute local spot for some yummy breakfast! Food: Seems Southern inspired given the biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, and grits special. Don't worry they also have more basic American style breakfasts and avocado toast. - Biscuits and Gravy: Ok I am a sucker for this type of thing. Delicious biscuits smothered in homemade savory rosemary pan gravy topped with a sunny side up egg. This is perfect if you want a decadent breakfast after a night out on the town. Be sure to let that unctuous yolk mix in with the gravy to get the perfect bite with the biscuits! - Chicken and Waffles: This is an interesting take on a classic! It reminds me of Thanksgiving dinner because of the roasted chicken with cranberry syrup. The waffles are light and fluffy and pair well with the chicken gravy. Service/Ambiance: What an adorable little spot! There is outdoor and indoor dining available. We got there right before it opened at 8AM on Sunday, and there was already a line of people! Fortunately, we were seated immediately, and the food came out quickly. The staff was super friendly and efficient. Overall: I'm craving more biscuits and gravy so will need to go back soon!

Yelp
The only thing better than the food here is the atmosphere. Very homey feel with excellent service that makes you feel like family. Francis Samu is the man.

Yelp
I want to like this place, but the poor attitude of the girls working this morning will not have me coming back anytime soon.

Yelp
Grabbed a breakfast sandwich to go on the way back from the laundromat next door. I ordered the pimento sandwich - they were out of ciabatta and suggested replacing it with the sourdough bread. The fresh vegetables definitely tasted fresh and the lettuce added a nice crunch. The pimento flavor really didn't stand out to me and the sandwich ended up being a bit soggy because of all of the tomato juice and cheese. The service was quick and the employees were friendly.

Yelp
Went here for a Sunday brunch! There was a long wait of ~45 minutes at 11:30am and a lot of people were getting food to go instead of dining in the relatively small area indoors. Overall, this is a solid brunch option--the food was good, typical brunch food. We got: French toast ($12) with berry compote and mascarpone (an extra $4) -- 4.5/5 very tasty and would recommend adding the berry compote for more flavor Ropa vieja grits ($20) -- 3/5 the Ropa vieja was very flavorful but I thought the grits was alright, also don't think it's worth the $20 compared to other menu items The space is definitely on the smaller side and tables were close to each other, but the interior was well decorated and cozy There is space outdoors for people who order to go to sit down and eat--I saw people doing this, probably to try to avoid the long wait times The manager (I'm guessing Sam?) was very friendly and enjoyed joking around a lot with all the customers as well
