8 reasons to visit one of Bali’s best-kept secrets - SilverKris

"A recently opened resort in the foothills of Mount Agung offering dreamy views over tranquil rice paddies and distant hills. The property has 18 rooms and villas—ranging from bamboo constructions with alang-alang thatched roofs to modern flat-roof villas with private pools, full kitchens and quality Balinese fittings. Facilities include two infinity pools, a jacuzzi, private sitting areas, an all-day restaurant and a lounge serving complimentary afternoon tea; the Samudra villa, set furthest into the grounds, is recommended for privacy and sweeping terrace views." - Penny Watson

We spent a night here and it was a brilliant property. It’s a luxury hotel tucked away in Sidemen valley away from Bali’s mainstream tourism chaos. Stunning views from the rooms of rice terraces and the river. We felt truly immersed in nature and it was a great getaway for my wife and I. The room had an infinity pool with panoramic views of the rice terraces in the valley and the flowing river. There was an indoor and outdoor bath tub in the room. We enjoyed the meals at both restaurants. One of the highlights was the bath house equipped three plunge pools, a steam, and a a wide windowed sauna with great views. Like the rest of Sidemen, the people here were wonderful, the staff was warm and hospitable

Beautiful hotel in the stunning Sidemen valley.|The hotel itself is super clean and stylish decorated, yet still very welcoming and didn’t feel crowded.|The hotel staff without exception were friendly and very helpful. |We went on two excursions organised through the hotel; a moped tour through the local villageswaterfall and also a trek through the rice fields. Both were great. The guides all lived locally and apart from seeing the stunning scenery, we learnt a lot about the local area, daily life, plants etc.|The food in the hotel was very tasty and beautifully presented. |Happy hour in the hotel’s new pool bar (across the road) is highly recommended. (5pm to 6pm). |We found the prices in the hotel very reasonable, but we are used to high UK prices. A main in course is the restaurant was c. £6 and a large Bintang (620ml) c. £2.70.|Samanvaya is in a small townlarge village so it’s possible to walk to local shops and restaurants. Everyone we encountered in the village was friendly and welcoming. |Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stylish hotel, with exceptional service in a stunning location.

My stay at Samanvaya in Sidemen was nothing short of amazing. The property is absolutely stunning, so beautifully designed and perfectly maintained. From the moment we arrived, I felt truly cared for, the staff go above and beyond with personal attention and make sure everything is arranged for you. The two restaurants on-site are exceptional, offering delicious meals from breakfast to dinner, and the cocktails are just perfect for enjoying the serene setting. A truly unforgettable experience I can’t recommend Samanvaya enough and would love to return one day!

Our honeymoon at the "Kenyeri" villa was a magical three-day experience, marking the perfect end to our Bali trip. The staff was incredibly kind and surprised us with a thoughtful gesture for our honeymoon, which was truly heartwarming. The locally crafted kimonos in the room were a lovely touch, and we loved them so much we bought some to take home. The breakfast was delicious and abundant, the spa offered an outstanding experience, the views and location were breathtaking, and the local, exquisite desserts during tea time were a delightful highlight. Highly recommend! :)

Our stay at Samanvaya was beautiful everything was never too much for the staff who were all so lovely and friendly, Puma was one of the many stand out staff members who made our stay special, he was always able to help and was very knowledgeable about the hotel and Bali itself! I Couldn’t recommend this hotel more, the spa was beautiful and the Glow facial was amazing and so relaxing. Both restaurants were also so lovely with Traditional and Western food if you are wanting something more close to home :) Samanvaya also recommend a Silver jewellery making trip which the reception staff were able to organise for me and my family, which was definitely a stand out experience of the holiday. I can’t wait to hopefully return to Samanvaya and Sidemen!

Absolute gem of a property. I have been to 30+ countries and would have stayed in 100s of properties around the world. Samanvaya would stack up at the very top end with the best :) The villa was stunning. The overall property had so many great view points and each with its own bar, pool and swimming pool. Check my pics/videos here and you'll know what I am talking about. Even the gym had stunning view. Double dopamine hit after workout :). I have to highlight the hospitality separately. Entire team was so warm, friendly and genuine ❤️ Cant wait to get back to Samanvaya some day :)

Lucky to be staying here for the second time. The resort has double in size since I last stayed, but the management has pulled off this impossible - maintaining the quality of service and the unique, intimate atmosphere that the place had before. Absolutely splitting hairs, but the only area for improvement would be some comfier pillows. Otherwise everything is superb. If you’re look for a lovely, beautiful place in Bali, away from the tourist trail then this is it. A real oasis!

Wow, wow and more wow! This place, the people, the location, all 5* and incredible. We stayed for 8 days (15th to 23rd August) in Maya Villa and to say it exceeded our expectations is an understatement. It’s pure paradise and we will most certainly be back. The level of service is 5* throughout and Dhia, the deputy manager is a credit to the resort and we’re sure it won’t be long until she’s running the place! We met Tracey (one of the owners) who could easily take up another career in interior design as her eye for grand luxurious designs is impeccable. We went on a number of tours including a couple of scooter ones. Ade, one of our guides was brilliant. If you get a chance to do the local village tour, do it, it was brilliant. A big shout out to all the staff at the resort who made our stay truly memorable. Without you, the resort would just be a luxurious shell. Instead, it’s a luxurious welcoming hotel that comes with an abundance of care, warmth and hospitality that goes above and beyond. Thank you.
