Saw it reviewed on YouTube, so thought I’d check it out for myself. First up, you gotta have a car because it’s in the middle of nowhere and apart from one small waterfall, there’s not a whole lot in this area, but it’s great as a 5 star base for day trippin to Besakih temple and Kintamani to overlook Mt. Badung volcano. Hotel is green, lush foliage everywhere, exquisitely designed and idyllic, set up the side of a small valley, the superior rooms look out across coconut trees and rice paddies, it’s a lovely view. As you would imagine it’s very quiet, but the hotel got you covered as outside every room is a water feature that covers any music or other noises coming from the room. It is adult only and this shows in the design. The infinity pools are great, the restaurant is a little limited but fine for short stays. Food quality is good to very good, important as Grab is an hour delivery in all directions. Staff are all locals from the village which is a nice touch - the hotel goes to some length to explain its ‘sustainable tourism’ pov in this regard. Rooms are superb, wood, rattan, carvings, all have decks with views. WiFi a little weak where we were, but hotel immediately delivered a 5G portable hotspot dongle which solved that minor issue. Otherwise the room was spacious, 2 daily housekeeping visits, one in the morning to clean, the other (6pm) to arrange the mosquito net around the bed. Really first class service.Ok it’s a bit pricey for Bali, but if you want a small resort with views as a good inland location for exploring, Samanvaya does it very well. Recommended.

Samanvaya was the most beautiful resort tucked away in Sidemen Valley. I came here with my best friend to celebrate her 30th birthday and we couldn’t have picked a better location. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating, the room was luxurious, the views were breathtaking. The restaurants on site also had some of the best food we had in all of Bali. The staff also helped facilitate a lot of extras, like renting a scooter from a local supplier, and booking a silver making class with a reputable local family business. We had the most amazing time in Sideman all thanks to Samanvaya. Some notable helpful staff were Tami, Perna, Dhanan whose hospitality and kindness helped make the stay even better.

Discreetly tucked into the peaceful Sideman Valley, the Semanvaya luxury resort provides a haven for visitors seeking ultimate relaxation within a stylish setting. Whoever is behind this resort, fully understands the meaning of eco tourism which becomes immediately evident as you're led through this dreamy resort to rooms built primarily from local materials. The amphitheatre style layout provides uninterrupted views across rice paddies and rolling landscape showing the ocean in the distance on clear days. Unfortunately, due to the time of year we hit some bad weather although a thunderstorm or two of biblical proportion is a unique experience in itself! All rooms are beautifully crafted and you will be offered an upgrade upon arrival which I'm very pleased about as when I saw the spectacular Batari 2-storey villa complete with hot tub I could not resist and my stay was made. Unfortunately, I became unwell on the second day but with staff caring for me around the clock with delicious treats, I was back on my feet the next day. The staff here are exceptional and genuine, without aiming to over please, if see what I mean. They are mostly local people who appear to love their jobs with a sense of pride and who seem more than happy to engage in a conversation. They are lovely. The food at this resort is exceptional offering a comprehensive range of traditional and international dishes set within a multi-levelled restaurant with some seats boasting panaromic views across the valley. I chose this resort as I wanted something off the beaten track that delivered a combination of luxury mixed with local vibes and Semanvaya Resort did not disappoint. My only regret is not having the time (and weather) to explore the local area although that will be on the menu for my next visit. Terima kasih.

They’ve just opened new villas overlooking the stunning rice fields of Sidemen, and each one comes with its own private pool! On top of that, the resort already has two amazing infinity pools with breathtaking views that make it the perfect place to unwind. The staff is incredibly friendly and thoughtful, and the food at the restaurant… just wow. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

Hands down one of the nicest, well-thought out places l've ever stayed in Bali. The attention to detail is absolutely insane. The staff is incredible and the food is all incredibly delicious. Highly recommend getting a massage at their spa. The atmosphere curated at Samanvaya is so peaceful, I never wanted to leave. The staff is amazing & makes you feel like you’re at home. You'll see beautiful views of the rice fields from every angle of the property. We stayed at their new villa with wellness pools and would 100% recommend to everyone! This place is truly magic.

We had a recent stay at Samanvaya for 3 nights. Honestly, we felt like we’d died and gone to Balinese heaven! The resort is wonderful, the food and service exemplary. The massages are top-notch. Sidemen valley is beautiful, lush and unspoiled. |Most importantly though, the people are so beautiful and kind! Every one of them was a delight! My husband has mobility issues, and the help and kindness we received from every member of staff, without fail, we will forever be grateful for. Thank you! Suksma and love to all the team. ❤️🙏🏼|The only issue we could possibly mention is the resort is difficult for mobility-challenged people. Rails on the stairs would help a lot.

The hotel was very good, and the location is amazing, just like many others in the area. Unfortunately, we had a small issue that was handled poorly by the management. On the second day of our stay, when we returned to our room, I noticed that my Boss fragrance, toothpaste, and toothbrush were missing from the bathroom. I called the front desk to find out what had happened. The staff were kind and tried to help, and the next morning they returned all the items. They explained that the cleaning team had thrown them in the dumpster because they found them in the bathroom bin. The situation felt strange—especially because the last time I saw the fragrance, it was about half full. When they returned it, the bottle was nearly empty and sticky. Although the staff apologized multiple times, the manager never offered any proper compensation, such as a discount or a complimentary item of similar value. Personally, I find it unbelievable that, during my honeymoon, I had to bargain for a small discount over an issue that was entirely caused by them. There were a lot of apologies, but in the end, no real compensation. The most I could negotiate was a complimentary dish worth £8. They also offered a 10% discount for a future stay, which felt a bit funny… why not just give it to me now? Their excuse was that I had no proof that the fragrance was half full before it was thrown away. Conclusion: Keep your belongings locked up, if they lose something, they definitely won’t refund you.

We had a wonderful stay at Samanvaya Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality truly made our experience special. We stayed in the new area of the hotel, in a Sari villa with a private pool, and it was simply stunning. The villa was beautifully designed, spacious, and offered a perfect blend of luxury and peace. Having our private pool was a real treat – the views, the serenity, everything was just perfect. The main pools throughout the resort are also gorgeous – impeccably maintained and set in lush surroundings that enhance the overall relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re lounging by the water or enjoying a sunset swim, it’s pure bliss. And let’s not forget the location – Sidemen is one of the most beautiful and serene areas in Bali. It’s a must-visit if you want to experience the island’s natural beauty, traditional charm, and peaceful vibe away from the busier tourist spots. Samanvaya is a gem, and we’re already dreaming about coming back. Highly recommend it for anyone seeking a luxurious and peaceful getaway with outstanding service.
