Samay Wasi Youth Hostels Cusco

Very cute and friendly hostel. Senior James was very kind and helpful and made our stay a blast. We would recommend to anyone who would like a quieter stay in Cusco. The views from the balcony are great and it's close to the historic city and plenty of walkable streets. Great experience overall

The loveliest hostel ever!! James made us feel at home and helped us organise our day trips!! Pepita and pepito also were lovely hosts! … and the views WOW!!! Also big thanks to all the staff for everything.

When I arrived there was an older men at the reception who almost looked annoyed when I came in and didn’t introduce or tell me anything. Other receptionist are also not very expressive even though I speak Spanish to them. Breakfast is included but only from 07:30 while most tours start way earlier than that, so I only had the chance to have breakfast one out of three mornings. They charge 3% for card payments. Water doesn’t run sometimes. Other than that it’s a nice place and the beds are good.

Great place- super friendly staff. Amazing views over Cusco. Facilities include shared kitchen, great breakfast and tea available throughout the day. James sorted out Salkantay trek which was amazing- I believe they have other treks and tours available at great price. Thanks James and the rest of the staff at Samay Wasi

The hostel has a very nice view over Cusco and the staff is very nice. With James you can book tours and I would really recommend it as he always checks that everything is fine. He will make a plan for you to visit Machu Picchu if you want. He even booked a second night in Machu Picchu Village as we had to wait two days for tickets. All in all it was a very good stay and the private rooms are cosy.

Hi there! I really recommend this hostel, bed are comfortable, it is quiet for having a good rest and the people at reception are very helpful. They could give me tips for everything. The cookers prepare a delicious breakfast :) thank you !

Had an amazing stay here at Samay Wasi. Room was a good size, very clean and the bed was comfy. Shower was excellent, great pressure and warm. Breakfast was good and the view of Cusco from upstairs was impressive. The staff were friendly and the local cat was a bonus ! Price was very good for the quality of stay.

I stayed 10 days in SWYH and enjoyed my stay. I had booked a private room and I was surprised how good it was (Room Nr.9 on the upper floor), From here I had a great panoramic view of Cusco even while lying on my bed :-). But of course the view from the hostel is over all excellent. The staff is very attentive and customer driven - from the reception Desk to the kitchen. Thanks to all. Breakfast is ok. I didn´t use the kitchen utilities. I didn't use the kitchen utensils, but I noticed that people prepared some really nice dishes.|The private rooms on the 2nd floor are also preferable because of the view and they are more quiet.
