SAMBAZON Açaí Bowls Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Just had a Berry Sunrise bowl here. I was a little worried with all the recent negative reviews, but I had a great experience. The two staff members were cleaning when I ordered at the kiosk, but one of them stopped to make my order and kindly explained that I didn't need to order honey because it comes with it, so she let me substitute another topping. Service was fast, polite, the place was clean, and they seemed to have every ingredient in stock.

Got a regular sized protein acai bowl. The toppings tasted fresh and I was glad they gave me a replacement topping when they were out of cacao nibs. The regular is large enough that you will feel stuffed for one person eating it, my only thought was that there wasn't enough acai/yogurt compared to the amount of toppings. Near the end it feels like you're just eating granola. Nice service, nice taste. Feels healthy for airport food

Usually a good experience. The young lady working tonight should find another job. She is too busy hiding in the corner on her cel phone than she is doing her job. Two people waiting for their orders, no one at the counter, lean over and there she is, while the beeps let her know orders are waiting. I gave up and went somewhere else.

No one behind the counter tonight. I asked the bartender next door if anyone was working tonight. He put his cell phone down and went and got the manager for me. They may be short staffed, but just from sitting in the area observing everything for a few minutes, it sure looks like the staff that was present just doesn’t want to work.

The food is good but they are ALWAYS out of something important. I come approximately once every 3 weeks, this week they are out of large bowls. How much money is lost daily due to the incompetent ordering manager. Customer service is also very lacking.

Food is excellent. Service sucked as the person was rude. Next time I won't include a tip when I pay.

Being away from my Caribbean home i longed for the sweet taste of home. Needed something healthy and so... I decided to try Coconut Mango Sambazon Acai Bowl at CLT - Sambazon 209 Avenida Gabricante North Carolina. I was surprisingly not disappointed. I loved it so much i recommended it to another customer. Thumbs up guys.

As avid travelers, we frequent the Charlotte Airport 2-3 times a month. Customer service has never been an issue at any establishment until now. We encountered Diamond; a woman who displayed an attitude when posed with a question about the bowls. She half answered and was walking away as she was speaking. She let my husband and I know that, "I don't eat none of this stuff". She could have advised us of the best seller/customer favorite instead of providing this response. She also carried on a full conversation with her coworker while making the bowl. It's very rude to stop fixing the bowl to interact with a coworker about something that wasn't work related. Diamond definitely is not an asset to your company.

stopped here on a layover and there was no wait. you help yourself at the kiosk. the customer service was great. i ordered the strawberry sunrise acai bowl which was good. granola and fruit were fresh. service was quick.

I can confidently say I have never had a bad açaí bowl...until about 15 minutes ago. I walked out of my gate excited to finally try a Sambazon location, curious to see how it lived up to the brand. I waited patiently in line, only to see a tablet asking $2.15 per extra topping. Um... okay?? I ordered the Chocolate PB Açaí Bowl, and sadly, it was a huge letdown. The chocolate chunks were a bizarre choice, hard and unpleasant to eat. The bananas were cut into massive pieces, the chocolate drizzle tasted off, and to top it off, there was a ridiculous amount of granola hidden at the bottom that made every bite feel like a punishment. The only redeeming factor might've been the size of the bowl but since it was bad, that honestly made it worse. I can't believe I spent my hard earned money on this. I should've stayed curious.

This was right next to my gate so decided to get an açaí bowl to eat while I was waiting. The service was a little slow but it was 6:30 am so I get it. There was three people ahead of me in line and it took me about 15 minutes to get my order. Protein Açaí Bowl - the nuts, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, and granola added a nice crunch to the açaí. There wasn't a lot of açaí. Overall the portion was very small for the price point. But I guess it's the airport.

Very pleased with our experience here. They were missing a few ingredients from our bowls, but let us substitute other fruit in its place. The large size is super filling and I couldn't even finish it. They got us our order super fast and you can order at the kiosk if the person making them is busy.

I got coconut mango Açaí bowl. It was really good. They could have put more fruit though. There was no line, it was quick. Overall happy.

If I could give a zero I would. I ordered an oatmeal bowl at 6:23am and after watching 12 acai bowls be made for people behind me, I asked at 6:45 if they had the oatmeal. They forgot to make it and the cashier who was just pulling items out of the trash and cleaning the floor made it without gloves on. She forgot 2 ingredients and didn't apologize for the delay. I couldn't eat it after watching how unsanitary the entire shop was. I jogged over to make my flight without breakfast before a 13 hour day at work. Thanks a lot

This was honestly very good, and a nice find in an airport where everything is typically fried and soaking through the bag. You order through a kiosk, which is fine on it's own but in this case they were out of several items (blueberries, granola, etc) and they don't allow customization. This is the kind of time it's helpful to have a real human to talk to, but alas. I got the Protein Bowl and it had a lot of nut butter mixed in with lots of fresh fruit, honey, etc. Again, it totally hit the spot and I was really glad to find this spot, especially since it's a little bit hidden. Note if you're reading this looking for food in Charlotte, there's a sort of mid-point food court in this airport, and that is NOT where Sambazon is. This is further away, so keep on trekking and you'll get there eventually.

The girl working this morning 5/5/25 was rude. Wouldn't help people in line. Gave no direction.

So good! Nice to have a healthy choice at an airport. Touch screen allows you to customize your bowl or smoothie. Service is quick and bowl is a good size for the money.

Oh do good! Perfect treat while I waited for my next flight. I opted for the dragon fruit bowl and added chocolate chips as a topping. Ordering screen was intuitive. Counters etc were clean, staff friendly. This was so good, I made it a stop on my return flight too!

Sambazon is a must try!!!! My friend got fruit bowl, while I opted for the Dragonfruit smoothie and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. My smoothie was a beautiful purpleish tone and tasted amazing with all the fresh ingredients they use. The service was very quick and concise!! The lady was super helpful and friendly. The ambiance is very cute with the stool chairs matching colors of fruit, almost transporting you to tropical getaway. Very yummy!!!! I would fly to just visit Sambazon, that's how yummy this place is!!

Super fast, small was filling, fresh! I got the bowl with strawberries and mango and it was perfect

$16.00 buys you a large cup with very little AÇAÍ in it. Buyer Beware. I left feeling taken advantage of.
