To be honest, I don’t understand the reviews I’ve read about this hotel. All I see are praises, but for me, this place was a nightmare. It’s a small hotel by the roadside. Yes, there is a pool and a garden, but everything looks dirty. The welcome was strange—there was no one at the reception at first, which felt really odd. When we finally received a welcome drink, it wasn’t good at all. From the very beginning, I noticed hygiene issues; everything felt dusty and unclean. Compared to all the other places I stayed in Cambodia, this one gave me a really bad impression.||||The staff at reception eventually explained everything to us, which was fine. But then we noticed, I assume, the owner, who had a strange attitude. We felt watched the entire time, which was extremely uncomfortable.||||The room itself was unacceptable, even for just a stopover. It was a small bungalow, but it was dirty. You can see in my photos—dust everywhere, stained mattresses with marks from previous guests, and pillows that should have been thrown away long ago. Sleeping on them was simply disgusting. The bathroom was extremely basic, and the door had a 20 cm gap at the bottom. Overall, I had a terrible experience—completely unpleasant, even just for one night.||||Breakfast was just as disappointing. They tried to make it “French-style,” but honestly, they should have avoided that because it was terrible. The homemade bread was awful, the pancakes were just as bad, and nothing tasted good. We also had dinner there since it was included in the price, and they attempted to serve French cuisine. It was a complete disaster—really, really bad. To make matters worse, we felt watched even during dinner, which was extremely uncomfortable.||||I understand that this hotel is just a transit stop for travelers going from one city to another. I’m not sure if there are better options in this town, but don’t expect anything magical like some reviews suggest. There is nothing magical about this place—it’s just a basic roadside hotel with a pool, a garden, and very old, very dirty bungalows. Personally, I do not recommend staying here—unless, of course, you don’t mind sleeping on stained sheets and pillows that haven’t been properly cleaned in ages.
