Samed Villa Resort

We (family) took a villa (two units connected) and it was super convenient with the kids. The location right on the beautiful sandy beach and close to necessary shops makes it the perfect location on this gorgeous island. If you are looking for a budget relaxation in style, that's your spot. Good breakfast. Very good restaurant and great spa.

We originally booked 2 nights but loved the chilled out feel so Much we added an extra night. Our rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our 8year old loved the fire show on an evening and playing on the beach which was immaculate with the sea being clear and warm. There were plenty of loungers and free beach towels were provided at reception. |The food in the restaurant was of good quality and good value. We sampled quite a few dishes and made the most of the happy hour cocktails. We had an excellent stay.

Cute hotel, back from the beach ,no sea views . My room was upper level , I wouldn't have wanted a lower level. Room was very nice, spacious & clean , bed was firm but very comfortable for me,I slept well here. . A good bathroom ,plenty of hot water for shower. Pool is small but ok ,enough to swim a bit and cool. There were 10 sunbeds there . Breakfast area is small , the chairs much too big & the purple cloths are kind of tacky. Choice for breakfast ok , does the job but limited choice . Staff were friendly & helpful . Spent one night only after a beach resort as I wanted a pool. There are not many places with pools round this area .The nearest beach is a bit crowded with sunbeds but can easily walk to Tub Tim in a few minutes or stop at other small ones on the way . There is no restaurant but plenty of places nearby , including a few shops . Easy to get taxi there or the songthaew to port for 30b . It's not cheapest but was fine for me and comfortable enough .

Pros: Big comfortable beds with good if a bit noisy air-conditioning. Nice bathroom and shower |Daily 2 bottles of water provided and large fridge|Great location near the beach and restaurants |Pool is reasonable size and welcome in the heat|Breakfast was decent with plenty for our Thai family but a bit limited for Western tastes |Cons: not many beds round the pool and total lack of any comfortable seating if you fancy reading etc|There is no restaurant despite the hotels title ,only open for breakfast |No bar but some draft beer available so the hotel are really missing a trick here |Overall the hotel needs a little tlc especially the ancient pool towels|Overall we had a good stay and our extended Thai family loved the Thai food available at breakfast |With some attention to detail this could be a great hotel but at the moment it's just okay and somewhere you don't want to spend much time during the day given the lack of facilities

We spent the second week of our family trip to Thailand on Koh Samet. Samed Villa resort was the perfect location! The family accommodation was ideal, the staff were super friendly and the access to the beach was brilliant! The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a huge range of options and the resorts restaurant had a lovely selection of Thai and western dishes! The pizzas were delicious!

The staff tend to have the attitude. Especially female ones. (The pregnant lady and the other one who wears heavy make ups, having the responsibility to welcome guests for breakfast.) Their attitude made us feel we are asking to be serviced for free. Like our requests are nuisance. They ain’t smile or welcoming. They are unfriendly and seem fierce. We don’t feel welcome. The room is ok. The beach is excellent and clean.

Resort has a private beach area which is less crowded. Lovely rooms with beach view. Clean , well decorated rooms with comfortable beds. Beachfront villas have a great view from the sit out. Food is pretty good too. Good vegetarian options as well and their breakfast buffet has a variety of options. They put out a fire show in the night. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. There is a small supermarket within 5mins walk at the resort next door.

We had a great time. Rooms clean and aircon nice and cold. We had the B&B option and the breakfaat was amazing. Close to shops, other restuarants and massage areas. Beautiful beach with warm water. Overall a very nice stay.
