I used to live a few blocks away from Sameheads, but go figure, had never been before, despite having walked by plenty of times. I finally made my way here earlier this month when a friend from the States was presenting at a conference a Heimathafen, and he and his conference pals wanted to hang out at a nearby bar. So I took them here.
The scene was pretty mellow when we arrived, as it was 10 or so, with not too many people out for the night yet. We took a couch and some chairs in the corner and hung out for a couple drinks... by the time we left, the windows in front were steamed up from a pretty full house, and the noise level was up there.
It's a chill place to get some drinks and has a laid-back vibe, although as with most bars in Berlin, non-smokers will despair at how to get rid of the smoky smell from their clothing post-hanging out here. I didn't look around too much but it seems to be a random assortment of tables and chairs, low lighting with colour, and even an area off to the side that my pals described as "Dexter-esque." Spooky, eclectic, and fun.
