Super cool interior, fantastic line-up of djs, great vibe and friendly patrons and the most amazing bar-staff. There’s quite a lot of seating both upstairs and downstairs, including a quiet area if you want to talk, and a cozy dancefloor with a decent sound-system. Didn’t love all the smoke on the dancefloor, later in the night it was getting harder to breathe. You can pay by card over €5 which is very refreshing in Berlin! Entry was €10 before midnight, €13 after, but at least the drinks were cheap (shots were €3)

The most original bar I've been in for quite a while. The decor is nuts in the very best ways.. there's a Friday night cover of €5, but it's worth it. Beers about €3. The vibe is relaxed, friendly, a bit smoky. There's a dance floor downstairs that gets going after midnight. Great place

very kind bar staff, the upstairs’ has a great atmosphere, however downstairs, i feel like they should also put some lights behind the dancing area, since it gets way too overcrowded and there is a need for more oxygen downstairs since non left from overcrowdedness

Cool, atmospheric, the music that day was simply 🔥. But I went out every 15-20 minutes to the second floor just to get some air. Very bad ventilation. And also, you can only pay in cash :(

Not good. Staff member aren’t really nice and for a non smoker it’s just not possible to stay inside. Expensive for no good air conditions and not really welcoming people.

The decoration at this place is wild. Well worth coming back just to check out how it's looking. Also the comedy night downstairs in the dungeon room on a Tuesday is my favorite in Berlin. Recommended!

The bar staff is usually drunk and wanted to charge me more for a mate last night. Then when I asked why this price, she didn’t even act confused..They just want to get whatever they can basically after some point. Also no door selection so NOT SAFE for QTPoC folks. Many white cis-hetero men with 0 spacial awareness (always pushing or talking in the dance floor). Obviously no awareness as staff was not even aware they were working there…I feel bad for a nice venue, this is horrible service and crowd. Even though music is good, no way going back here!

Unparalleled decor - kitsch everywhere, except it's not kitsch, it's art. They even have an independently-produced video game poking fun at the church. Can close around 1am. Alcohol shots are a far better bargain than their drinks. Lighting is too bright, so it feels like you're in a Johnny Rocket's diner rather than a bar, but a nice place to get your drink and convo on, and it's not too loud.

The Sameheads have moved from Kreuzberg to Neukölln, but the concept hasn't changed. Run by Nathan, Leo and Harry, three brothers who ran away from sunny England to enjoy the bitter cold in Berlin, this mix of a bar, a small club and a boutique is not as popular as it should be. You can still impress your friends by taking them here after watching a movie at one of the cinemas around the corner. Expect to have some crazy party going on. Don't be scared, this is a good place and you might make some new friends. Every thursday, the Sameheads also host "Neukölln's finest Pub Quiz" which has become sort of an institution among the avantguardians in the neighborhood. Come over and compete with the young and exotic if you dare. P.S.: The Sameheads is right behind the Passage cinema. Just walk through the alleyway in the backyard, take a left and you're there.

I used to live a few blocks away from Sameheads, but go figure, had never been before, despite having walked by plenty of times. I finally made my way here earlier this month when a friend from the States was presenting at a conference a Heimathafen, and he and his conference pals wanted to hang out at a nearby bar. So I took them here. The scene was pretty mellow when we arrived, as it was 10 or so, with not too many people out for the night yet. We took a couch and some chairs in the corner and hung out for a couple drinks... by the time we left, the windows in front were steamed up from a pretty full house, and the noise level was up there. It's a chill place to get some drinks and has a laid-back vibe, although as with most bars in Berlin, non-smokers will despair at how to get rid of the smoky smell from their clothing post-hanging out here. I didn't look around too much but it seems to be a random assortment of tables and chairs, low lighting with colour, and even an area off to the side that my pals described as "Dexter-esque." Spooky, eclectic, and fun.

Sameheads can be pleasant or dead-boring depending on the night. Check out their website for their movie screenings which tend to be really good (although they are shown in a damp basement, meaning you should bring a jacket to keep warm). The selection of drinks varies from "anything you want" to "we're out of virtually everything", but the British bartender is always polite and curteous, so it never really bothered me. Some nights there are literally three people in the bar (probably all friends and family members) lounging around listening to 80s music. Other nights there are actually pretty cool events and the place is packed. People tend to go there wearing ridiculous outfits, but sticking out like a sore thumb isnt really a problem because the atmosphere is generally friendly. Oh and there is a vintage designer store adjacent to the bar area open during the day, if you are interested.

I've been here a few times and no one of those times I came back home thinking that I did something worth it. The gigs usually look much more great than what they really are. The whole thing is confusing; the clientele (people pretending beeing cool and different), the atmosphere (the decoration is just horrible, from the lights to whatever they have hanging from the walls) it's simply too much, too pretentious. You can try to make it kitsch and work, but all these things together they just don't.

The kind of place where your friends hang out--at any time. Dance floor, shop, bar, gallery, and social space. Seems it's program varies depending on the night.

Should be pretentious but it's not. Alles klar, alles hot.

Ich verstehe nun gar nicht waru die Bewertungen hier so schlecht ausfallen? Fünf sind es nicht, drei könnte ich ja noch verstehen, aber 1 oder zwei? Natürlich ist der Laden ein wenig prätentiös, aber das Personal ist total freundlich und die Veranstaltungen sind großartig.
