A fantastic stay — absolutely worth the money. The rooms are spacious, the bed is super comfortable, and the shower is large and luxurious (though oddly, there’s nowhere to hang your towels). We loved having a private balcony with chairs to enjoy the evening. Anything we needed, the hotel provides (a few extra plates and cutlery, some coffee) The private beach area is a huge bonus, and the fire pits add a beautiful touch. The pool is also excellent — clean, stylish, and relaxing. But what really made a difference for us was the Samphire Club: access to a cozy lounge space with couches, a fireplace, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, and mini donuts. Perfect for when one of our days got completely rained out — we were still able to relax, read, and enjoy ourselves. Everything about the stay felt thoughtfully done and genuinely relaxing. Would definitely return.

This was the perfect way to end our WA holiday. All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, well appointed and clean. We organised in room massages when we arrived to get us nice and relaxed, which were lovely. Sitting by the pool reading, ordering drinks and snacks was so peaceful. Both nights we had dinner at Lontara. The first night we ordered off the regular menu and the second night we enjoyed the peking duck special. All of the food and drinks were delicious and it was so lovely with the doors open and the quokkas coming in for a visit.|If we visit Rottnest again, we would very happily stay here again.

I recently enjoyed an incredible girls weekend with friends at Samphire. Couldn’t fault it! The location is second-to-none, so close to the main shops/eateries and right on the beach. The beautiful pool area has many shady cabanas to choose from and is protected from the wind, making it the perfect spot to spend a relaxing day. The service was great, friendly staff who went over and above to make our stay special. The food was amazing - the breakfast at Lontara (I tried both the Continental and cooked brekkie options) and the pool menu. We had a lovely dinner at Isola just a short stroll away. Coffee was on point, poolside cocktails were fantastic. The rooms were thoughtfully appointed, comfortable, clean and spacious enough to share with a friend. We were lucky enough to join a morning yoga class put on by the hotel - which we all really enjoyed before a dip in the ocean just steps away. Samphire is a slice of luxury in paradise. Can’t wait to be back!

Took my kids out on a nice Sunday trip out to Rottnest, we where heading back to the ferry when my son stacked it on the bike. I had to patch him up and ride us back to the ferry, just to find out we missed it by 20 minutes. And it was the last ferry of the day. We had to find a place to stay at for the night and quickly as the sun was starting to set. Went down to this "lovely" Hotel... Staff treated me like a wild animal, and didn't let me in, refusing service. So I took matters into my own hands and took up a post in the bushes with my son. We slept in cold 15 degree weather overnight. Safe to say you will never catch me stepping foot on Rottnest island again. - Peter Crunchnut

Our stay at the Samphire Hotel on Rottnest Island was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning setting, beautifully designed rooms, and the laid-back yet luxurious vibe that made our trip unforgettable. A special shout-out goes to the bar experience, which truly elevated our stay — and that’s largely thanks to Stefan, who went above and beyond every single time. Stefan from the bar was incredibly attentive, warm, and knowledgeable. Whether it was recommending the perfect drink, remembering our preferences, or just sharing a friendly chat, he added a personal touch that made us feel so welcome. His service was not just professional, but genuinely heartfelt — the kind that makes you want to come back again and again. We can’t wait to return to this island paradise, and when we do, we’ll definitely be heading straight to the bar to see Stefan again. Highly recommend the Samphire for anyone looking for a perfect island escape with world-class hospitality! Thank you, Christian & Schnuffel #SchnuffelsTraum.com

We recently spent four nights at The Samphire. Overall, it was a great experience. The only hitch was at check in where I encountered a receptionist with attitude and lacking in common courtesy, called Sophia. We were among the last people to be checked in although we arrived at 10.20am, I told her I was feeling unwell, and would appreciate an early check in. I’m still giving the hotel a five star rating as otherwise all went very well. Another receptionist from Galway was a pleasure to deal with.||We stayed in a pool view suite. Lovely spacious accommodation, nice bathroom, lots of towels, and good bathroom products. I liked the pool area, and the cocktails served there were good, as was the wine by the glass.||The two restaurants are outstanding. Lantara served delicious food and had great service. The Shark Bay prawns were particularly good.. Isola had amazing food, a great wine selection, and perfect service. The staff were lovely to deal with. I had Sicilian Chardonnay both nights we had dinner there, which I loved. $27 a glass but well worth it. First night, I asked if I could take away my Chardonnay and return the glass later as I was enjoying savouring the wine and the manager agreed, which was a nice touch. Their slow cooked shoulder of lamb was sublime. They also do a great sausage ragu, excellent salads, and tasty focaccia. The views from the restaurant are fabulous. ||Room service was excellent. There was a good selection of films available, and a decent sized balcony that got lots of good sun. There was a great lounge where complimentary tea, coffee, and sweet treats were available. I found it to be a lovely, relaxing place to read. ||I would recommend The Samphire to others,

Stayed at Samphire for three nights. Very pleasant. Walls between rooms might be a little thin so hopefully you don’t get a small child in the room next door like we did on the first night but overall, the hotel itself is quite nice, and has a relaxing central pool to sit by if that’s your thing, or can get out, hire a bike and ride around the island (the full ride is about 22km but there are also shorter trails). And look out for the tiny residents… there are cute little quokka’s everywhere (literally) who will come right up to your feet!

The hotel was amazing, the rooms clean and quite, the restaurant and reception staff friendly and help full, breakfast with an ocean view WOW. The pool area was small with limited seating however still very relaxing with a great bar cocktail menu. The location was fantastic, close for the settlement facilities and yet on its own for a relaxing quite few days - yes would go again. .
