We recently spent four nights at The Samphire. Overall, it was a great experience. The only hitch was at check in where I encountered a receptionist with attitude and lacking in common courtesy, called Sophia. We were among the last people to be checked in although we arrived at 10.20am, I told her I was feeling unwell, and would appreciate an early check in. I’m still giving the hotel a five star rating as otherwise all went very well. Another receptionist from Galway was a pleasure to deal with.||We stayed in a pool view suite. Lovely spacious accommodation, nice bathroom, lots of towels, and good bathroom products. I liked the pool area, and the cocktails served there were good, as was the wine by the glass.||The two restaurants are outstanding. Lantara served delicious food and had great service. The Shark Bay prawns were particularly good.. Isola had amazing food, a great wine selection, and perfect service. The staff were lovely to deal with. I had Sicilian Chardonnay both nights we had dinner there, which I loved. $27 a glass but well worth it. First night, I asked if I could take away my Chardonnay and return the glass later as I was enjoying savouring the wine and the manager agreed, which was a nice touch. Their slow cooked shoulder of lamb was sublime. They also do a great sausage ragu, excellent salads, and tasty focaccia. The views from the restaurant are fabulous. ||Room service was excellent. There was a good selection of films available, and a decent sized balcony that got lots of good sun. There was a great lounge where complimentary tea, coffee, and sweet treats were available. I found it to be a lovely, relaxing place to read. ||I would recommend The Samphire to others,
