Located near churchgate metro station this is a well known vegetarian restaurant frequented by office goers as well as family groups. Currently this is probably the only restaurant in the area. (Shortly the well known Bengaluru based Cafe Rameshwaram is scheduled to open, but it is expected to be a full south Indian) this restaurant is known for its Gujarati dishes and the popular one is the thali. It's unlimited with a large number of items, the preparation and taste is good. The waiters are smartly dressed and present a good service. Visited this restaurant many times. Apart from thali have tried their biryani which tastes good. Nice atmosphere where one can enjoy food. Weekends and holidays will have wait time. There is a small waiting area outside. There are paid parking (roadside) on the CCI ( cricket club of India) and other nearby roads which I suggest to be used as traffic police crane regularly makes rounds in this area. There is a bakery just outside, which is again popular for pastries chocolates and others bakery items.

One of the best places to come for a Thali Lunch. Not sure about the other items on the menu budgeting by the taste of everything we had on the thali. I'm sure their other menu items would also be equally tasty. This is a pure veg restaurant and they do not serve any non veg or alcohol. There is wale parking available so it's ok if you travel here by your own vehicle. The valley parking is chargeable though. The ambience and seating and staff are really good. If you go during peak hours you may have to wait to get a table so it is always better to go a little early. Very close to the Aqua line Churchgate Metro Station so it is very easily accessible even by foot. The pricing for the thali is extremely reasonable for this part of the city and I guess you will get your best value for money if you order the thali. They have clean washrooms here too.

Must visit restaurant. It’s a crowded place during holiday. Ambience is of vintage style. Valet parking available. You will have to wait during peak hours. Only veg food. They only serve Gujarati thali, which is unlimited and they keep serving you. Thali is 500 plus rupees for each person and no sharing. Panner lazez is bit sweet. Must have cheese ball and hara bara kabab as starters. Staff are well trained and are available. Even during peak time they don’t make you wait. This restaurant has many other hotel joints.

Samrat Hotel serves decent, tasty North- and South-Indian, Punjabi food with a modest but clean ambience and friendly staff. The seating is fairly spacious and service is usually prompt, making it a good spot for a quick meal or casual dinner. Crockery or freshness feels just average — but overall it strikes a decent balance of quality, and convenience for the price. Menu is bit expensive but given the location of south Mumbai cant complain about it.

Food was prepared good but the taste was not that great as expected. The service was a bit slow. There were enough waiters and staff. There is a valet parking chargeable at 100₹ The restaurant was clean and hygienic. The naans were good. But the price was extremely costly. A garlic naan is ₹160 and any vegetables start from 450₹. The tables are very close-by too each other. And there was a queue always for toilet. Not expected. Like if you are charging so much, then you should provide equal service.

If you're looking for a hearty, vegetarian lunch, Samrat is a great place, It’s a very reliable spot that focuses on clean, traditional flavors rather than anything too fancy. ​I highly recommend their lunch thalis. The spread is generous, featuring a variety of seasonal vegetables, dals, and fresh breads that make for a very satisfying meal. The food is consistently good and feels like a proper, authentic meal.

Price is bit on the higher side but the quality and service which they provide is excellent no doubt.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Mumbai. I choose thali and food was delicious with so many varieties. The staff were amazing and came around to top up the thali. It's very busy restaurant especially in the evening. Atmosphere inside is welcoming and lovely decor. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
