Yelp
Rather disappointing dining experience. Our starter of chicken pakora (bland) and tandoori lamb chops (tasted reheated rather than freshly cooked) were about a two-star experience. Our mains, BaltI chicken tikka naaga and sag paneer, were freshly prepared, but the first was super chili hot while the veg dish was bland. We blended the two on our plates to make the combo palatable. The service was good, which is why we think three stars is fair. We wanted to love this restaurant, had been looking forward to dining here since before our arrival in Inverness. We try top user-rated Indian cuisine in every city we visit, and the reviews on some of the travel websites we use gave Sam's rave reviews for the food, which tells me that there might room in Inverness for another Indian restaurant to move into town. One that gives Sam's a run for its money.
