Samsara Ubud

Downtown Ubud and surrounding area is super congested and noisy so we chose to stay away from it. Was extremely happy we found this place surrounded by jungle, water, rice paddies and farmland. This place is awesome. Every effort is made to ensure you have a great time. Staff are world class. Food is world class, (it’s Michelin rated I think?) 🌍 It’s also received a bunch of hospitality awards. Villas are perfect for forgetting about the outside world. Really comfy pillows and beds. Breakfast, shuttle, snacks, gym, saunas, cold plunge, private pool, huge shared pool and a bunch of activities all included in a really low price. Bonus - we had the big pool to ourselves 99% of the time! Every night we were serenaded to sleep by frogs and water fall. You won’t be disappointed!

We feel so lucky to have chosen Samsara Ubud for our holiday. From the moment we arrived, Manager Barry and his team made us feel incredibly welcomed. The staff were caring, kind, and attentive, and the atmosphere of the resort was simply beautiful. The facilities - the restaurant, spa, sauna, and the delicious food were all perfect. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was Barry. His professionalism, warm hospitality, and genuine care for us went far beyond our expectations. The staff at Samsara were truly amazing. They were very nice and attentive to all of our needs. The front desk team were all aware of our schedule and helped us coordinate many of our activities. They also helped us book airport pick up/drop off, which was very helpful. We loved the village walk. Our guide Nuh, was amazing! We loved hearing about local Bali traditions and how rice is harvested. All of the places we walked by were very beautiful so it was very relaxing to start our day. We booked deep tissue massages and chakra massages and they were very relaxing. We really enjoyed the food and staff at the Kelusa Restuarant. They have a wide variety of food, so it was easy to find something we liked. The room was very beautiful and luxurious. We loved our heated private pool. The bed sheets were very soft and the pillows were perfect! The bed has been one of the most comfortable ones I’ve stayed at in my entire life so I really looked forward to jumping into bed each bunt. We did the floating breakfast one day and it was lovely. The resort is 2 hours away from the airport and about 30 minutes away from Ubud Center so that can possibly be a downside for some people. We knew this in advance so it was okay. We wanted a hotel in the forest with an amazing view so the drive was worth it for us. There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance so we ate at Kelusa quite a bit. Ubud Center has many more restaurants and they offer a free shuttle to there daily. We booked this hotel months before they were awarded the Michelin Key so we were even more excited to stay here once we saw that. After staying here, I can see why they were awarded the Michelin Key. It was the perfect stay for our honeymoon.

We stayed at Samsara Ubud for the first time during our trip to Bali and it was truly a wonderful experience. The villa was beautifully designed, very clean and offered complete privacy. The view of the jungle and the infinity pool were simply breathtaking. The staff were always warm, attentive and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast and dining options were delicious, with a good balance of local and international dishes. Although it was our first time at Samsara, it definitely won’t be our last. We left with great memories and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious stay in Ubud.

The staff is very kind and very helpful in nature.|The checkin and check out services are very good as they take care of our comfort.|They always helped us in any problem or if we had any doubt they cleared it.|The area around the hotel is very good and pleasant . It's very calm.|We attended art class with Mr. Budi in the resort. His nature is very good and teaches us and tell us about bali culture and art in very good way.

It’s a nice hotel, 20 mins out of ubud. It is in need of a renovation. Bed is comfortable! The pool tiles are mouldy, the sun umbrellas are also mouldy and the bathroom shower recess and free standing baths are worn/ old and stained. I feel this would have been a very nice hotel back in the day. It’s quiet and peaceful but it lacks atmosphere somehow? Not many people at the restaurant. The staff here are gorgeous as usual for Bali..Can’t fault their beautiful service! I had massive anxiety coming to this hotel by myself because I read a review saying it was terrifying at night!! Well this simply isn’t true. It’s a jungle so of course you’re going to hear strange animal/ insect noises. The views are amazing. I grew up on a farm in the mid west of Australia- that’s way scarier!! I’d say that person who wrote that review has never stayed outside of a city before.
