We booked this hotel for eleven days without knowing what it was like. We've only been here two nights and we don't regret it at all. Everyone is very friendly, the breakfast is very complete, the tranquility is genuine, the beds are comfortable, and the showers have powerful water. They offer interesting services. The decor is very tasteful, with sculptures and plants along every path that winds through this old wooden house. I wish they would tune the piano and put it somewhere it could actually be played.

I was desperate to get a room in the same area as it was quite and peaceful. I was directed to this hotel. The room was big and clean. I had a personal bathroom/ toilet in my room so that was preferred. It cost me 800 bath for a night. Including breakfast. Note: they dont have an Elevator.

My experience at this hotel was utterly disappointing. The room was ridiculously small, with no chair to sit on and a bathroom so cramped it was impossible to move. There was no shower jet, and the amenities were nonexistent. On top of that, the blanket was uncomfortable and the pricing was completely unjustified. Overall, this hotel failed in every aspect.

I would rate SamSenSam Place just 2 out of 5, and that’s only because they allowed us to store our bags free of cost for two days. Unfortunately, the overall experience was highly disappointing. • The rooms were full of small bugs, both on the bed and crawling on the walls, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. • The room condition was very poor—old, worn out, and clearly not properly maintained. • The bathrooms were in terrible shape, especially the shower, which barely functioned and couldn’t deliver a proper flow of water. • Despite the hygiene issues, the hotel has a strange policy of not allowing guests to wear shoes inside the room area—even though the rooms themselves felt far from clean. • The evening staff was unwelcoming. It felt as though we were disturbing them just by checking in. Perhaps they treat walk-ins or Agoda bookings differently, but the hospitality was certainly lacking. The only redeeming factor was the morning staff, who were comparatively polite and helpful. Clearly not recommended at all. There are far better options in Bangkok within the same budget.

Staying at SamSenSam Place felt like being in a jail. The rooms were airless, dirty, full of bugs, and the toilets were in awful condition, with barely functional showers. You’re not even allowed to set the AC below 22°C, with a warning that it could “damage the compressor”—a penalty chart posted like school rules. Shoes are banned inside the room, yet cleanliness is nonexistent. The evening staff was cold and rude, making us feel unwelcome. With so many better options in Bangkok, avoid this place at all costs.

We booked and paid in advance for 4 nights and messaged that we’ll arrive at 5 am that’s why we need extra night. Due to overbooking we were told on the next day that they don’t have any rooms left. They returned less than a half of the sum we paid for 4 nights in cash (we paid by card on booking) and didn’t help to book a new accommodation

Good location for nice cafes and breakfasts and close to Koh San Road if you are wanting to go there. While the room was very basic, it was pleasant and the host was friendly. Overall this was a good stay at a reasonable price.
