I would rate SamSenSam Place just 2 out of 5, and that’s only because they allowed us to store our bags free of cost for two days. Unfortunately, the overall experience was highly disappointing. • The rooms were full of small bugs, both on the bed and crawling on the walls, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. • The room condition was very poor—old, worn out, and clearly not properly maintained. • The bathrooms were in terrible shape, especially the shower, which barely functioned and couldn’t deliver a proper flow of water. • Despite the hygiene issues, the hotel has a strange policy of not allowing guests to wear shoes inside the room area—even though the rooms themselves felt far from clean. • The evening staff was unwelcoming. It felt as though we were disturbing them just by checking in. Perhaps they treat walk-ins or Agoda bookings differently, but the hospitality was certainly lacking. The only redeeming factor was the morning staff, who were comparatively polite and helpful. Clearly not recommended at all. There are far better options in Bangkok within the same budget.

Great location, fascinating building in wood, old style with typical Thai furniture. The green part even if small is nice with plants like orchids etc. The breakfast is basic but is something and they offer eggs, toasted bread and fruits. One coffee or tea. The lady at the reception is the best. The only one who speaks a bit of English and tries also a few sentences also in other languages. She was fun and helpful. She also kept longer our luggage since we had a problem and we're late to check out. She was a bless.

Good location for nice cafes and breakfasts and close to Koh San Road if you are wanting to go there. While the room was very basic, it was pleasant and the host was friendly. Overall this was a good stay at a reasonable price.

Staying at SamSenSam Place felt like being in a jail. The rooms were airless, dirty, full of bugs, and the toilets were in awful condition, with barely functional showers. You’re not even allowed to set the AC below 22°C, with a warning that it could “damage the compressor”—a penalty chart posted like school rules. Shoes are banned inside the room, yet cleanliness is nonexistent. The evening staff was cold and rude, making us feel unwelcome. With so many better options in Bangkok, avoid this place at all costs.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Bangkok this is your way to go. We booked 5 night here in a private room with A/C private bathroom and really good size! We felt really comfortable during our stay. The breakfast in the morning was very fulfilling and colourful! The people working there are really friendly and always have a smile on their faces. The location it's 8 mins walking from a lively road where you can find cute restaurant. And it's 14 mins walking from the chaotic kaoh San road. If we ever go back to BKK we will book here again!

Love this very convenient and well located Hotel. Friendly hosts, great breakfast with fresh fruits and a perfect laundry service. I had a good time there.

First I had a shared room with my brother. It was just a door between the next room and I could hear everything going on in there. I later upgraded to a room with a private bathroom. This room i would actually recommend for travellers on a budget.

Pros: Helpful front desk staff. Possibility to book tours & transport at the front desk. Breakfast was good in terms of quality and quantity. Location close to Khaosan road and other landmarks. Cons: The room and bathroom had a very bad smell. Almost no ventilation. No room service at the start of new day. Too much noise coming from nearby rooms. Difficult to sleep since even someone walking outside created a lot of noise.
