Nice spot. Shame about the food. $30 for fish, chips with salad. Greasy batter, tiny amount of chips and old salad. Honestly thought it was a kids meal. Left feeling pretty ripped off.

First time this far north in WA and I couldn’t have found a better spot to grab a solid feed after a 9-hour drive. I was staying across the road at The Cove Holiday Village and wandered over here on a recommendation — definitely worth it. The free Wi-Fi was a lifesaver since mobile reception in the area is pretty average. I ordered the Thai Red Curry special ($30), a side of chips ($12), and a couple of Coronas at $10 each. Pretty fair pricing considering the remote location, and the meal was full of flavour and really hit the spot. Only downside was missing the tap beer happy hour (5-6pm) — I’ll be timing that better next visit! Keen to come back and try the seafood next time. Great atmosphere, great food, and a perfect place to unwind after a long day on the road. 😊

Great tavern for a pop in but the food has a lot to be desired. Fish not local but calamari was. Too much batter and therefore oily. 2 at our table ordered the seafood baskets. One had BIG prawns and the 2nd had average size. No consistency. Fish was very ordinary. Great views though but upstairs. Nice area downstairs but you need to go up for food and drinks

Great location looking out over the water. Food was good maybe a little too greasy but enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and meals came out in good time.

Popped in with a few mates and ended up having a really good night. The place has a great view and the food was actually pretty decent, but Hannah behind the bar really made it. She was super friendly, easy to chat with, and just kept the whole night fun. Drinks were spot on and she looked after us really well. If you’re anywhere near Point Samson, definitely swing by the Tavern. And if Hannah’s working, even better. Absolute legend. 🍻

The view was amazing, the food however was sub par at best. The oysters were ok, the sauce I felt like I could make it at home. I got the steak which was heavily overpriced and so chewy I had to spit some of it out into a napkin. If I have to chew a steak too many times it’s really annoying. The gravy was thick and lumpy. I basically had to eat around the chewy bits of the steak which made a huge mess and I didn’t end up eating much of it. I left feeling pretty disappointed especially when paying nearly $50 for a chewy piece of steak.

It’s a pretty busy place and was recommended to visit. We ordered a few drinks which which at the time was the drink of the week called “Pornstar” . It was actually pretty good, the sourness before pouring the champagne in the drink to make it sweet. The oysters was good fresh, and didn’t taste any seawater/saltiness like you get in some oysters. Service was good. Sitting by the bar section facing the sea, you could actually see whales. Definitely recommend to come here again.
