Samsonite Company Store - Allen Premium Outlets

My experience at this Samsonite store was extremely disappointing. I specifically asked for the manager to get a knowledgeable luggage recommendation. Unfortunately, he was completely inattentive and unhelpful. His lack of interest in assisting a customer was shocking. Customer service is clearly not his strength, and his presence in that role damages the brand's reputation.

We went into the store twice and both times were helped by Lance. Lance helped us feel confident about our purchases and was incredibly kind and helpful! We are very happy with our new luggage for our first international trip coming up :-)

Great selection and the prices, though a little high, do have some discounts if you can't wait to order online at more reasonable prices. Purchasing at the outlet store is insanely frustrating if you rely on wireless pay and only have mastercard available in your payment app. If you are using mastercard, bring the physical card with you to use.

Didn't have the exact luggage I was after, but the sales person was kind enough to put up with me juggling size restrictions and weight limits while picking out something else!

Extremely rude staff. There was only person and he was biased to serve only south East Asians. We kept waiting for 20 mins. He didn’t care to answer even a single question even when we tried to reach him.

Chad. The manager was awesome. Very engaging, knew about the products and what was on sale. I came in for the under the seat luggage and I've been wanting to get new luggage, so I bought the pieces that match my under-the seat and other items. I love Samsonite luggage. There isn't anything wrong with my other set except that the big one has been banged up from travelling. Pictures are coming soon.

This review is solely for purchasing luggage here. Chad was the gentlemen who helped us here and he was really helpful. He gave honest reviews on which luggage was good and which one was more prone to breaking. The prices here are slightly cheaper than online so you don't have to worry about being ripped off here unlike the Grapevine location. Sometimes if you're lucky, you got amazing luggage sets that are on clearance.

The store sells great products (obviously since Samsonite is a strong brand). The salesman seemed knowledgeable about products and answered our questions. However, when I tried to use the $20 off through the Yelp link for the store, the manager and salesman both said they had no idea about the $20 off coupon and refused to honor it. The manager tried to claim it was limited to online use, but I pointed out how the bottom line notation said to hand the coupon to the salesperson at the store (meaning it could not be limited to online purchases). The manager was a bit rude and offered to call corporate on Monday to ask but that did little for me since today is Sunday. Regardless, we purchased the luggage because they were good pieces and well priced. I'm just disappointed in the poor customer service.

BeWare! I bought a 22 inche carry on soft case Samsonite about 9 months ago. zipper no longer closes and I inquired about assistance to facilitate sending to the samsonite repair facility. Manager tells me they are NOT an authorized samsonite store and DO NOT facilitate repair assistance at the store ever! Not very helpful and seems very deceptive given that the store says Samsonite! I contacted Samsonite Corp and informed them of my experience. corp was surprised that the Allen outlet store is in their system as an affiliated store. I obtain a ship label from Samsonite Corp and will mail to repair facility in San Antonio

The salesperson literally ignored us. When we asked for help she walked away. When we asked for a comparison between two lines she said well you can see they look different, with different materials and wheels? (?!?) When I specifically asked for difference in specs, weight, etc. she said she doesn't know any of those. (We ended up finding all the specs on each of the tags of the luggage) We ultimately felt very disrespected so we brought it up to her saying we would appreciate some help in deciding and looking at the luggages, that's when she said "Well everything in here is self served." Samsonite, you're loosing business having such a disrespectful and lazy sales person on the floor during such a busy holiday season. If it's self-served you can easily find someone who's better qualified for the job to replace her. I feel so disrespected and annoyed I would give this zero star if I could. Salesperson 900300 on receipt- African American woman, short hair. On the floor on 11/26/16 at 6pm.

I love this store. Best customer service ever! I bought 2 pieces of luggage and they were super helpful and best prices. Employees were super friendly and helpful.

FYI Before you do make a purchase at this store I recommend purchasing using a debit/credit card instead of cash. Because they normally do not carry much change if you plan to refund the item(s) I purchased a luggage and an additional lock from the store. Apparently I did not need it and wanted a refund for the items. At first the refund could not be made due to cash shortage since I purchased half in cash and half on a card. They told me to come back later to check if more cash has came in. I came at a later time in the evening with a different manager on the floor (Lynn) she told me there were no cash available at that time and provided me two options: 1. Leave a name and number and I will be reached out again to make a successful refund once cash is available. 2. Reach out to Samsonite customer service to send out the items however, it will take two weeks for me to receive the refund. I went with option 1 and the next day I received a call from Lynn to have the refund made. I am giving this review a 4 star instead of 5 only because the store does not carry cash. But because Lyn was honest and professional I am writing this review.

What I liked about this store is it doesn't seem to be run like an outlet store. They keep everything displayed and organized VERY well. The employee on staff knew the products inside and out - I gave him a model number I was specifically looking for, and he not only knew what it was off the bat (didn't look it up), but helped me compare with some similar models they had in stock. He didn't hover, either. He told me the benefits and what they offered, and left to let me make a decision. Prices are discounted, but if you go on a sales day, you can get a deeply discounted deal. I purchased a wonderful 4-spinner-wheel laptop/business tote that retails over $350, I bought it for under $150.

Real story : walk in. Guy working on computer. Never once makes eye contact. Never once asks me if I need help. Never once acknowledged my presence until I walked out and told him h how bad his customer service was. Was in there for 15 min without a peep from him. I was the only one in the store btw. They have a great selection of luggage which is the reason for one star. I won't be back.

Vickie the store manager is nasty and mean. She is not ready to apply the discounts which are offered by Allen even though nothing on the offer says it cannot be done but just to show her attitude ! avoid the store and especially her !!!!

Yeah, we all want Samsonite luggage, but who wants to pay for it? Enter the outlet. And this one isn't one of those disorganized trash heaps that some outlet stores can be. Good products at good prices and the employee was very helpful trying to help us find a specific model we wanted.

I didn't actually make a purchase from this store, but I did want to commend them for standing behind their products and for their repair process. The button for the retractable handle broke on one of my Samsonite pieces, so I simply dropped it off at this location. They sent it to an authorized repair shop, who fixed it and shipped it back to me directly at my home in about two weeks. I paid absolutely nothing. Fantastic!
