Back in 2017, when my Samsung S7 Edge had a malfunctioning display, I came here and had a bad experience because they didn't want to do anything to fix it, despite the pink line issue being a common issue that affected S7 phones. The person talking to me explained that they couldn't do anything related to warranty for me because my phone had very slight damage on the bottom right corner which indicated to them that I dropped the phone or something which was the cause of the pink line. The cost to replace the screen was outrageously priced so I walked out of there that day super disappointed. 7 years later, my S23 Ultra was stolen from me on my way to work and I unfortunately had to order an S24 Ultra for pickup same-day. Nowhere else had the 512 GB configuration that I needed for same-day pickup and I couldn't wait because I was going on vacation the next day. Thankfully, Samsung 837 was able to offer that same-day pickup. However, I will say that I was pretty worried when AFTER I placed my order, they sent a follow-up e-mail saying that my estimated pickup date was TWO days in the future. Like what happened to same-day? Anyways, when I arrived, (roughly an hour and a half after placing the order), I talked to a few people which took quite a bit of time, but after about 15 minutes they assured me that my phone would be ready soon. In total, I only waited for about 25 minutes before walking out with my brand new phone as well as some Samsung 837 exclusive stuff like stickers. Even though someone stealing my phone was a super unfortunate experience I had that day, which I'll probably remember for the rest of my life, I will also remember how easy the process was of getting a new phone and how helpful the team members at Samsung 837 were. Even though the commute is a little long for me as I'm commuting from Queens, I'll definitely consider picking up my future Samsung products from here instead of through Best Buy like I normally do.

Came in to get my headphones fixed or replaced. The service is amazing. They're so helpful and everyone is polite. This space is so interactive and there is plenty to do while waiting. Games to play, boards to write on, spaces to chill in with different vibes. A must visit. Way better than Apple 🤣

The hubs rarely has destination spots, but Samsung 837 was on his list. Our last visit to Samsung 837 was before Covid hit. I'm happy to say the essence of the facility is still there. There's always a friendly host/hostess at the front door. The cafe bar on the second floor is now a spot for a genius bar (smart move). The remainder of the building is what it's always been: an adult playground. We spent a good chunk of time with one lovely assistant who gave us a detailed tour of the Samsung smart home. I'll also share there are fast chargers in various areas of the building. This space is clearly built for lounging and exploration. If you're a Samsung fan, you guys make a stop. The exhibits are always changing. If you're interested in creating a smart home or wanna play with technology, this is for you too.

Editing my review to 5. (Keeping my old experience as it is below. But wanted to be fair and also shout out to Samsung customer service, who made sure to compensate me and leave me a ls a happy end user) After math: 😊 After reaching out to Samsung customer service, they ordered the same products i had ordered before (keeping the same discounted prices) as the offer was done by that time. And i picked them up from the store. I will always be a top Samsung fan regardless of any incident that anyone could face. All the brands (fashion, beauty, electronics, automotive..) are not perfect, & mistakes could happen anywhere. At least Samsung took the initiative to fix the problem. Old experience: always been a number 1 fan for Samsung as a brand. I've never had a phone other than Samsung throughout my life. But I was surprised with the customer service in this specific store.. Came inside 7:40pm. (they close at 8). I asked the lady (her name is Sky) to get my online pick-up order. She got all the needed information along with my ID copy. She asked me to wait for 2 minutes. And it has been around 45 mins, I'm still waiting, "SKY" IS HOME ALREADY! SHE LEFT!!!!! And I'm still there after the closing time.. waiting to pick up my order.. Such a shame! I really expected a way better experience. (I can't simply come the next day bcz we are traveling back to DC)

Title: Samsung’s 837 – More Show, Less Go! Review: I visited the Samsung 837 store yesterday, expecting to grab a screen protector for my new Samsung phone—a popular model made for international travel. To my surprise, the store didn’t even carry one! The employee at the door, lounging comfortably, casually directed me to BestBuy as if that’s the standard protocol. I got a quick glance inside—impressive space, beautifully set up, but that’s all it was: a pretty show with no substance for what I needed. Luckily, Best Buy saved the day, and I walked out wondering if the Samsung 837 was an experience center or just a tech museum.

Can't really rate it but I gave 4 stars because it was really nice and the rep was informative, I just went in to browse. I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and cozy it looked. Great spot for a venue, they even have a stage that hold performances. Definitely a great place to chill even if you don't needa service but doubt you can do that. Not saying break your phone to go but shyt it is tempting, lol, JK

Amazing! a new experience and how designed this is! If you are a lover of technology and the Samsung brand alike, I recommend 100% that you come and stop by here, it will be an unforgettable experience! They also have a repair center and sales ONLY for accessories! NO SALES OF EQUIPMENT OR TRADE IN. They are all very friendly!

Yelp
I was having a problem with my Galaxy S22+ that I couldn't figure out myself. Their website is beyond un-helpful, as is their chat support, so we decided to take a rather long walk downtown to the store. There's always something fun to do, new to try out, and they have a repair bar. The store does have friendly and knowledgeable employees. When we went upstairs to the repair section, a kind young man asked if I had an appointment. I didn't but there were only 2 or 3 people waiting and anyway the website had said next available appointment was 5 days later, plus this wasn't a cracked screen or other physical issue. When I explained my problem to him, he took my phone and had it fixed in maybe all of 10 seconds! I was so happy! We used their clean restrooms and on the way out, we stopped to look at what's new. Asked about trade-ins, which the young man was happy to tell us, and we left - with me thinking that I just may consider trading in my Galaxy for their new flip! TBD, but anyway I was pleased with quick and friendly service and a solution to my apparently simple problem! TIP: usually crowded on weekends.

Yelp
Buyer be aware! I purchased a frame tv and they added in the bill a $120.00 charge for a professional mounting which I did not ask or approve of. While I was waiting to pick up the tv I noticed the charge and asked them to remove it and they said that they did and I was going to get the refund in 3-5 days. After this time passed and no refund was posted on my account I went back to the store and they said that I have to call Samsung because they did not have the option to refund. So, I called Samsung and they said that I need to cancel the service through Angi, their third party and they had no records of me. All these conversations took hours on hold waiting to get a person to respond. Shortly, after a month of countless emails and visits to the store they can not locate the money and can not refund. Shortly Samsung sent me a voucher to use with an expiration date of 3 months to use. What am I supposed to buy for that money? There is nothing close to that value. Very disappointing and annoying to be robbed like this.

Yelp
Very poor customer service. I came here to fix a samsung phone, but they said they couldn't do it. I ended up getting the phone fixed by an unofficial repair store. Can't believe Samsung couldn't do it.

Yelp
Really cool space. I saw the name from afar after walking from Little Island. Came in to check out the latest in services and products. Awesome jam. Was greeted/welcomed and left alone to explore the multiple floors. They were giving out free frozen treats but wasn't offer when we stepped in. The sign outside said to come in for a treat. I saw two ladies eating a blue popsicle. I'll grab it on way out. Saw the freezer cart by entrance.

Yelp
I didn't really understand the point of coming here. We walked through the storm just to visit while we were in the Chelsea area. I was really excited to come because it seemed like they had cool technology, but when we walked in, we were the only people in the store and the staff completely ignored us. Everyone was waiting for their shifts to end. You're not allowed to walk anywhere. There's no help/assistance with the items you're looking at. Half of the items are shut off. If you're in New York, skip it. I wish I didn't take the time to go here. thank

Yelp
Repair service is very poor. Brought in a 2 year old S21 that was stuck in a boot loop after a failed Samsung update. Two different techs told me that the problem was actually that the motherboard was fried and that it wasnt worth replacing. Told me I should by a new phone because the repair would be costly. They gave me a different price both times. Low and behold, it WAS stuck in a boot loop... just like I told them. A factory reset and now it works fine. Why bother to go to the "flagship" store if you get better advice from YouTube and Reddit. All flash and no substance in this store. What a joke.

Yelp
My phone started with a black line in the middle of the screen. Later, it extended to cover almost the entire screen. After a long explanation with Samsung's online service, which recommended visiting Samsung 837 , The technician there, after discussing with his supervisor, came to tell me that Samsung Care would cost $350 to fix the screen, even though it's a manufacturing problem and Samsung is already being sued for it. Since my phone is still under warranty, he recommended shipping it to the Texas repair service because the equipment at Samsung 837 is too expensive. What a load of nonsense. The people there aren't willing to help unless you buy Samsung Care service.

Yelp
TLDR The place to go for Samsung in-warranty repair. If you live anywhere near this location this is the place to go for your in- warranty repair. Don't call Samsung, they'll send you to one of those Asurion locations -- utter waste of time. The hinge on my Z Fold 4 failed two months in, phone wouldn't fully open but still worked well otherwise. After a long series of hassles which I won't repeat, made an online reservation for this location. Arrived on the appointed day at the correct time. Waited about 10 minutes, and met with Cesar. He performed a series of tests (presumably to confirm I hadn't abused the device) and told me it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. Off we went for an afternoon in the West Village. No wait on pickup, the repair seems fine, and the screen seems to be a bit more responsive to boot. Shout out to Cesar for good service. I can't speak to the out of warranty experience but get the sense it's pricy. My one kaizen: They call you on your phone to tell you your phone is ready for pickup.

Yelp
I went In to see if they could fix my phone. I arrived close to 6pm. I was told that I may have to leave my cell overnight. However, when they did a diagnostic test, they were able to service my phone, while I waited. I want to give a shout out to Nash & the rest of the team for exceptional customer service.

Yelp
I had the worst experience at this flagship store. The manager nsmed Israel and a worker named Ramel, they treated me with so much disrespect and hate, that it really bothered me a lot. They cancel my order, even after it processed. They were saying my order is in limbp, when I never received a email saying it was canceled. All this because I am a gay black male. I don't anyone should tolerate this behavior.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst customer experience ever! For a flagship store an absolute same for #Samsung! I walked around the store for good 10 mins no "hello", no "can i help you?" There was only one customer in the store so there shouldn't be an excuse. I finally spoke to a samsung rep and got completely misinformed about the products and services. I realized it after i got back home. Now i have to return the entire order. Really poor customer service. I will never go back to this store again !!!

Yelp
I'd give them 0 stars if that was an option. I purchased a tablet last Thanksgiving weekend to give as a gift. In June, my grand daughter showed it to me. The screen had red staticky lines across the screen when you turn it on. I got a ticket from Samsung and carefully wrapped the tablet in bubble wrap and paper and placed it in a box and mailed it off. The repair center contacted me and told me it would cost $107.17 to repair. I attempted to pay that amount but their system wasn't working. I tried 3 times and then they called me again to try 3 more times. It still didn't work. They texted me to try. That didn't work. They sent the unit back to me for non payment. When I opened the box I couldn't believe the state of my tablet. It was bend backwards and the screen was totally fractured. I called again and explained what I had received, and they gave me a new ticket to send it in again. Once again, they called asking for $107.17 to repair it. I told them I don't want it repaired, I want it replaced.( AS the note in the box clearly stated.) I was told the ticket would be escalated. 15 minutes later I received another call telling me if I don't pay they would cancel the ticket. He told me it wasn't going to be escalated. So now I have made my third call to Samsung and they stated that a claim should have been filed when they received it and they would do that now. Now I wait for 8 - 10 days to see if it is going to be taken care of. Quite frankly, this will be the last Samsung item I ever purchase. Hopefully, this serves as a word to the wise for others. '

Yelp
No communication. I've called multiple times and can't get anyone to answer. I had to leave a message. But, my issue was finally resolved once I left the message.

Yelp
When the screen on my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 had a black line that consumed the entire LCD screen to render it unusable in June, I was so upset. I had taken really good care of the phone and hardly used it extensively by any stretch of the imagination. As I did research on my options, I found out the phone was still in warranty until August. I went online to make an appointment which was a few days out at the earliest. I was fine with this until I started reading other people's experiences with the Samsung service center. I was convinced that my phone would be pushed back to me and I'd have to either buy a new phone or pay an exorbitant amount to get it repaired. I arrived early for my appointment and was signed in quickly. It would only be a short wait until I was called. As expected, my phone was thoroughly inspected. The technician used a flashlight to check the crevices and to make sure there was no damage to the phone which would cause the screen to go black. After everything checked out, he confirmed the cost would be covered under warranty and that they would text me at my temporary phone within the estimated time to pick up my phone. Well, they did text me within the timeframe and I felt it was a good experience. The service was quick and professional. I even browsed around the store afterwards. Even though everyone was friendly and greeted me, I did feel like I was being eyed by the employees every time I touched the phones or tablets but I just ignored it. Overall, it was still a very good experience. I was pleased that the store and the service had an upscale feel.

Yelp
I don't condone cheating by any means. I think it's selfish & those whom do so are not respecting themselves. However, I also try not to judge because you never know where you may be one day... So, I have a confession... I have been cheating.... On my iPhone :( With the fun activities and events offered @ Samsung 837. No... I'm not willing to leave my love, I'm just having some fun on the side. You obviously don't have to be a Samsung user or customer and staff is usually extremely friendly and helpful. They generally offer a plethora of different events you can sign up for. Of course they are to promote Samsung phones and products but no shade to us iPhone users that decided to step-out and have a little fun on the side. Lol So for now Apple will remain my main boo and Samsung will be my fun boo-thang on the side. (Don't judge me!) Shameful. I know! Shhhh... Please don't tell anybody. (Wink)

Yelp
Waiting over an hour and still waiting.....not enough staff in service area....don't have a good system for walkins....just waiting for a new battery because the one I have will ruin my phone.......

Yelp
I arrived before they opened and i was directed to Hectors Cafe accross the street,,save your money very expensive. The fellows at Samsung were great,my phone had shut down because i had installed a new security app, that did just the opposite thing, and infected my Samsung .It had to be factory reset, and the whole process took one hour,so glad i had arrived early as many, many people came with various issues.I lost my progress on my game...boo hoo,but was able to transfer apps from one phone to another with smart switch app.Later i went downstairs to buy some much needed chargers.Everyone in the store is so nice and so kind. They also events there, and i think you're able to rent the space,it's super cool, come on down!!

Yelp
Been here on several different occasions, but yesterday was the first time I actually tested out their Virtual Reality exhibits. The staff that work here are generally courteous and helpful. They had a whole upstairs portion for support help, a small cafe and a circular booth for 360 degree pictures. Tried the zombie shooting VR game by the front entrance and had fun. I'd say Samsung has the competitive advantage over Apple now and they're doing great things now and I truly look forward to what they're going to come up with in the near future. The surfing VR exhibit was pretty bad in my honest opinion. But the best VR experience I had was with the airplane pilot (not sure what it was called but it was the exhibit with the moving seats towards the back of the store.) Anyways, I enjoyed my previous visits here and I definitely look forward to returning in the future.

Yelp
Samsung 837 is an interactive experience "store" for want of a better word. In addition to selling and repairing Samsung gadgets, phones, computers, laptops etc, there's interactive gaming, virtual reality games and gadgets that all customers can part take if, free of cost and a host of weekly free community events. My son loves visiting for the video games on their high tech devices and engaging in virtual reality games. There's a full service cafe on the third floor. Clean bathrooms throughout the 3 story soaThe largest screen you'll see anywhere on the sunken amphitheater level and so much to do and see in between.

Yelp
Lmao all the fake reviews from Samsung staff. If you're wealthy though, go ahead and get ripped off. Pretty clear that Turjan, Miguel, Kamal, Christian, Charles, Marc are posting on here under fake handles.

Yelp
Three stars because it's a little disorganized but not fully so. That is one of the cons. But there are pros and I had fun on my first visit. Despite the well aware fact that I knew it was going to be packed and crowded. I went for one of their party events anyway and got to see Logic live! Awesome. You were not allowed inside unless you were Media or had special passes that night because of the event and limited capacity indoors. Even those that had invite and passes had to wait on a long line. Outside was super crowded by after 7pm. People wanted to party and check out Samsung. They had a van to fix broken cell screens, they had booths to check out some of the latest gadgets, they had third party vendors like Spritz and Core Water marketing. All and I mean all had long then longer lines. But the main was basically a stage with huge televisions in front of the Samsung 837 entrance with performances. If you got there early, you were front and center but who wants to stay in front of the stage for hours. Most people roamed around the booths. So, the highlight was Logic rapping and he and the show did not disappoint. The furthest in the back from the stage was literally across the street at The Standard. Other stage events included Ninja playing Fortnite. I got to check out the Samsung Watch which measures your health, has a few other options. I also got to checkout headphones that sync between the watch and headphones. But I still prefer my Beats by Dre, their competitor - an Apple product. Security was surely on high check. The speakers were loud and some parts louder than others. I asked several security guys questions on where to go, some were clueless but others were quite helpful. There wasn't almost zero Samsung staff guiding. Just security, half clueless. Would I come again for an outdoor or indoor event, again? Heck, yes. the cool stuff in the booths are bright, cool, shiny and full of eye candy technology. Anyway, I think Samsung 837 has a nice marketing technique with these events and showcasing Music, Fitness, etc... because Samsung is designed just as sleek as Apple.

Yelp
Samsung 837 is a pretty cool space. Not only do they showcase all their products and fix your Samsung phones, they also a bunch of interactive VR stuff to experience! They also have events quite a lot; I was lucky enough to see Jason Derulo and Charlie Puth among others and it was amazing! They also have various DJs coming in to spin in the front area, so music is always on point. If you have time in the Chelsea area, check it out!

Yelp
MAN IT FELT SO REAL. I LOVE VR. I went when it wasn't as crowded so I got to see everything. From trying the rollercoaster, the tunnel, the 360 room with lights....definitely recommend playing around this samsung experimental lab!

Yelp
This store is just another reason Samsung is king! Everyone of all ages, including iPhone users, can experience this cool space, all gratis. Virtual reality is an exciting new phenomenon, and they do an excellent job showcasing it to everyone. They have about three VR games you can check out, including a roller-coaster one. It's like going to a theme park for a couple hours with virtually no lines. I'm not even a gamer, but the zombie VR game had me hooked. There's also a beautiful screen and a photo booth to check out, along with a cafe, tech help, a chill section with couches and outlets, and bathrooms upstairs. They also have interesting events frequently that you can sign up for online, ranging from concerts to trivia to TV show viewing parties to fitness classes to technology talks. I love bringing people here in any and every season, because it's such a unique experience. It can even make for a fun date before taking a walk on the highline. Customer service is always top-notch - you can tell they love what they do. Check it out for a unique time. It'll definitely make you see Samsung and VR in a different light.

Yelp
My experience is based off of their experience labs and not on their repair, customer service policies, return phone policies etc. I came here back in 2016 and again in 2019 and was delighted to see that the experience labs often change to showcase the new product features. Definitely come here on a weekday if you want to avoid the lines and crowds. In April 2019, they had a photoshoot booth to showcase the Samsung phone's ability to capture great photos in different environments and a trace your face interactive thing. Cool place to check out if one is in Chelsea. I recommend tourists to visit as well!

Yelp
Super quick, super easy, great service! Had a crack screen due to a faulty screen protector. Made an appointment to have my phone service. Strongly recommend to make an appointment prior to going, but walk-ins are welcome. There are two levels to this Samsung store. The first level gives you all the interactive activities such as VR experiences. The second level is where you can get tech support and explore the Samsung products further. The reason I recommend making an appointment prior to going is because they reserve a tech for you based on your issue, which allows for shorter waiting periods! The result is a brand new screen, about a 2-3 hour wait for the technician to finish, and the cost is reasonable, around $200. Super pleased! Definitely recommend anyone to visit! There is even a cafe on the second floor to grab a quick bite while you eat, but you can easily enjoy yourself with the other activities in the store!

Yelp
I've wanted to update my review for a while now. Since my last review, I've been back to Samsung 837 a bunch. While each event they've hosted hasn't been a complete hit, I have to give them props for really being more organized and honest with their advertising. It's worth checking out their website, as they have a number of events going on each week--some open to all ages, others 21+. These events often coincide with the month's theme (for example, most of the events during the month of June have celebrated Pride). It's pretty cool, though, because I've gotten to see some pretty great artists as a result (Luke Bryan, King Princess, Mark Ronson, Vance Joy). A decent amount of their events offer complimentary drinks (with tickets) and sometimes passed appetizers. They also give you lots of opportunities to try out their gear in and outside of the space. Inside the space they have multiple stations set up (a few different VR stations, slow motion photo booth, a create your own emoji station), and they do out of the building events. For example, I went on a pizza tour with them and was able to try out the camera on the S9. I think Samsung 837 is a well kept NYC secret. They do a lot of fun events, and I wanted to give them props for growing and evolving with the events that they run.

Yelp
I don't quite understand the negative reviews about the experience - about the repair shop, sure, I've never gone for that. But the VR experiences that they're giving away for free? You would usually have to pay for that, and it wouldn't even be that cheap.. they have entire shops dedicated to selling VR experiences and Samsung's giving them out for free. I've done the Tatsu ride, the Instagram tunnel, the new NASA-collab, and a couple other random ones in between. After one of the rides, I even got a $5 coupon for their cafe upstairs.

Yelp
Although awfully situated and out of the way, the Samsung 837 building/store/repair center/play palace sets it apart from other electronics showrooms. With much more space, it's less about selling you things and more about enjoying the grandeur of their products. There are two floors with very little hassle from the workers - you can just sit and chill with the wifi get up and try the products. We came in originally because my friend had a dead pixel in his S9, but we left having so much fun. We first tried the "slow-mo" room where you get recorded in slo-motion, a video to which you can download and if you're lucky, also gets projected on their theatre screen. Did I forget to mention? They regularly hold concerts here with theater seating - we got free tickets to a Years & Years concert a few years ago and it was an experience like no other. Afterwards, we tried out the S8 VR ski-slope and surreal roller coaster ride. More and more I appreciate android and bemoan Apple.

Yelp
Samsung 837 is one of the best free places to hang out in the Meatpacking District. I should mention that I do not own a Samsung phone yet. After visiting Samsung 837 & looking at their products, I am thinking of buying one. The phone camera on the latest Galaxy S7 has impressive specifications. As for Samsung 837, the space is incredible. It's very clean & open. A nice place to go and take a break. Another great find here- they sponsor events and some are pretty good. The events cover a variety of interests - everything from music, food, tech, viewing parties etc. And they're open to the public if you sign up and RSVP. The Apple Store over on 14th street better watch out - Samsung's 837 store is a much better space & they are luring Apple users over to the dark side. And now with the Galaxy S7 new camera and all of its great features (including low light ability), I'm thinking it's time to make the switch.

Yelp
Warranty issue with USB port was blamed on a cracked screen. According to the representative due to my cracked screen, which I was ok paying out of pocket for, they couldn't warranty the USB port. Claiming that the cracked screen made the phone no longer waterproof and was the reason for the corrosion on the USB contacts. After speaking to the manager who parroted back the same fallacy, I tried to break through with some common sense. I pointed out the gaping hole in the bottom of the phone where you stick the charger and asserted that the corrosion is right there on the contacts of the phone not on the interior. Waterproofing is only relevant on the components on the inside of the phone therefore their reasoning was idiotic. I could tell by their blank expressions that my logic failed to be absorb. I walked out with a broken phone and went to the AT&T store where they were very helpful and I was able to trade in my broken phone for a brand new iPhone 13. I am never buying another Samsung product again.

Yelp
I come here ocasionally just to hang out and play the VR games. Mostly free which is great. They usually have like 4 or 5 different VR games going on in the store. Yesterday I came and they had a bunch of scary haunted VR games since it was halloween. Be warned that VR can make u dizzy and nauseaus. ESPECIALLY the one game where u sit in a row of 4 seats and it's like a roller coaster. I had a really bad headache from that. The other VR games were not as bad. I tried the haunted VR and it was creepy. I was actually scared which was cool. They also have special events going on, and I went to one where they lend you a Samsung Gear fit2 pro, and they drive you to a fitness center (SWERVE) and you get to take a free class wearing the fit2 gear. It was a cool experience. I would try these free events again. Not sure how the tech help is. I've been here twice with problems on 2 different occasions and they weren't able to help me. Basically told me to get a new phone. I had a note 4 which kept dying and being really slow.

Yelp
Samsung 837 is a beautiful space. The staff there are young, hip and very fun. Samsung offers free classes and events. I just went and took their Galaxy fitness class. We were each given a Galaxy9 phone and fit watch to help track our fitness level. Then they bused us to Swerve Fitness in Flatiron where we took an elliptical class. It was so much fun! And then at the end of the night we each got to take a free smoothie home. I'm definitely signing up for more of their classes.

Yelp
The screen on my Galaxy S21 Ultra broke, which caused the phone to be unfunctional, and I needed it be fixed right away. I made an appointment at the Samsung 837 store for 2PM and I had only a short period of time to drop the phone as I was on my lunch break. I arrived at the store at exactly 2PM and one of the Samsung Technicians at the store, named Turjan (I believe was his name), assisted me right away even though he was in the middle of a task. He understood the time complexity of my situation and quickly took down the necessary details of the work order. I was out of the store in less than 10 minutes and made it back to work just in time. Later that day, I arrived to pickup my phone and was also given a free reusable water bottle. Apparently it was the first day the store was open since they were forced to shutdown due to the COVID-19 virus. The exact day that I needed my phone repaired was the exact day they opened up. I guess it was my lucky day. Overall, a great experience!

Yelp
A wonderful free experience. The Samsung 837 showcases all of Samsung products from refrigerators, computer monitors, to smartphones. Note, this is not a retail store but rather, an experience immersed in VR technology. There are several VR experiences on level one and two. 837 is a spacious three level facility, a two-story TV as you enter, individual media studios below, and a cafe on the top level. Take some friends and enjoy the ride.... literally.

Yelp
What a fun way to kill half an hour for free. The rollercoaster is all of 5 minutes (maybe even less). It's fun but the calibration was off when I tried. I dunno, if that's from overuse of the products or VR tech not catching up as fast as we thought. The surfboard experience takes as much time to do as it does to sign a waiver-- because that's what happened. By the time I finished signing my waiver, the couple in front of me had just finished. I can't tell you how fun it was (or lack thereof) because I had open toed flippy flops, so maybe next time. The most fun I had was the zombie shooting game. The calibration was a little off, kinda laggy. Think: Wii control sticks laggy. But for all intents and purposes, it was very immersive and it's getting me excited for the future of VR. Upstairs is was a cafe and their more portable devices. Felt like a classier Best Buy. I saw some people sitting there doing work. Doesn't seem like the ideal place for that but hey, do you.

Yelp
Dragged here by the bf...thought it'd be just another phone store....BOY WAS I WRONG! Samsung837 is an EXPERIENCE! I was greeted as I entered (a nice touch) & a rather enthusiastic employee waved us over to the VR line. I had my first VR experience in the 4D Winter Simulator (or ANY VR for that matter) while that enthusiastic employee who I learned is named DEE cheered us on. It was awesome. Then we visited the Super Slo-Mo booth with a tall, lightly bearded, bespectled, rather entertaining employee whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. Yeah the bf & I acted liked idiots for 2 seconds to create our 10 second Super Slo-Mo masterpiece in full view of anyone caring to watch! It was so much fun! It was then we met Sherman, a wonderful individual who gave us a brief history of what makes Samsung837 so great. Upstairs you'll find places to plug and charge, devices to "play" with, a station at which to create your AR emoji, a cafe and living room vignettes and as with every station, wonderful staff to answer your questions. All said, Samsung837 is a high tech interactive, immersive showroom experience for all your Samsung needs. I will be coming back!

Yelp
Very lovely space with a full experience of all things Samsung. I have come here before to check out the space but it was closed for an event. We arrived 2 hours before closing this time, checking out the interactive stations. The music playing this evening was pretty "turnt" and just as we started on the first one, we were informed they were preparing to close early for an event. You can try out all of the new products before they can be purchased at in other stores such as Best Buy or the individual phone carriers. I found it to be odd that there was a T-Mobile store upstairs in the corner. But otherwise it's a pretty cool place with all things Samsung.

Yelp
Awesome place! Everything you've heard about here is true. The insanely cool architecture, decorations, and design are worth seeing even if you've no like for the brand. The use of this iconic building as such is thrilling for anyone with a beating heart. Their programming is superb: there're many types of VR presented: the NYTimes Daily360 table, the auditorium walk-around, a VR tunnel (8 chairs of in-chair experiences), the large 4-seat Santa sleigh with VR in-seat, and the 360° rotating chair (for roller-coaster like experiences). I got to try only a few as a long (10-15m) line was for the sleigh & rotating chair ones, but they are an amazing look into the future. The products are commercially available which is unbelievably cool. Of course, all the handsome tables and decorations and room mock-ups feature Samsung products for real use in-situ. It's a great idea to see products as part of normal life. Most unexpected was a kitchen area with many Internet-enabled appliances all shining beautifully. Very tantalizing displays. Don't forget the handsome, clean, modern, cool cafe they've got upstairs with hip (but not necessarily hipster) choices for pastries and coffee roasts. A very nice unexpected touch for what was expected to be a purely retail pitch venue. Don't forget their technical support on-site here and their calendar of events regularly featuring prominent speakers to round out a great place. Hopefully Samsung finds continued innovation for events, marketing, and retail here because they're going to make a ton of fans if they continue. They showcase everything fine and relevant about Samsung's products & associated lifestyle. You'll fall in love like I did.

Yelp
Note, Yelp says they open at 10am on Sundays, but its actually 11:30am. Samsung repair center located upstairs. They don't sell anything at this store, it's all about the experience. They have VRs everywhere and staff is super friendly. I came in to fix my Samsung S8+ because the screen was unresponsive. The phone was still in warranty so it was free of charge! I walked in at 11:30am, diagnosed the issue by 12:30pm and dropped off my phone overnight. It was ready the next morning, but I didn't know that because they left a voicemail on my phone (which they had) instead of the alternative number. Also, calling them on their store # doesn't get you anywhere. Nobody answers and they dont return calls if you leave a message. But overall, my phone was fixed and I cant be happier.

Yelp
I was wandering around the Chelsea market area with a friend and chanced onto this place, and I'm glad we did! Once we entered, an associate greeted us and explained the space to us. There were different 'stations' where you could interact with Samsung products -- not just the phones, but their vr products and 360 cams as well. They give you a Samsung phone which you use to find 6 different check points, kind of like a mini scavenger hunt. They had a vr story station, vr game station, this rowing game, touch screen games, home section, 360 can sections, etc. If you're looking for an indoor activity to do on a cold day, I would recommend stopping by. It's pretty fun to see all the new gadgets and it's totally free! And if you complete the scavenger hunt, you get a coupon to use at the cafe inside. I especially enjoyed this one vr game where you strap into seats, and it moves as you play the game with the headset on and shoot aliens or robots of some sort. I think some may get dizzy playing, but I really enjoyed the whole experience! It was a Saturday morning after brunch and there weren't many people there, so we were able to try the different activities without waiting. I'm not sure how busy it gets, but it was nice walking around without navigating around many people.

Yelp
A fun little spot to pass the time and be brainwashed about Samsung equipment. Not for the germophobe, as gear is passed from tourist to tourist with minimal (if at all) disinfecting. Still, lots of mini activities - there's a room where you can do VR gaming (we played a zombie shootemup), another spot where you play dodgeball with a partner, a third area that has a virtual rollercoaster, and a fourth one that does some topsy turvy upside chair flips (my friend is weak of stomach, so we skipped that one). I think this would be a solid little first date activity (it's free! it's fun!) - you know, for those people looking for dating tips on random Yelp reviews.

Yelp
Really fun way to dip your toes into what VR is all about! Spaceship Battle- I loved the moving chairs because they made it feel more real. It was fun being able to shoot the monsters floating outside your spaceship! Surfing- This one was really disappinting. Like NY Hall of Sci's surfboard puts this one to shame, the VR video was like in like 360p quality. So super pixelated... Skeleton Ride- SO MUCH FUN! Felt like I was on a real tabogon sled! Though I do have to warn it is not for those that are easily motion sick becuae you are lying on your stomach for the whole ride too...I thought my motion sickness was gone since I have no problems reading on buses and trains but apparently not haha VR Tunnel- Caught off guard when I found myself transported into a zombie shooting game...I do not like anything horror in any shape or form so I was happy to let the zombies take down my character once they started coming in hoards. Second Floor- THE CLEANEST BATHROOMS! Also there are laptops, phones, tablets set up. And a faux living room and kitchen too. Pretty cool to see how Samsung products could fit into your home!

Yelp
Samsung 837 is a great experiential store. Nothing is sold here and it's sole purpose is to allow consumers to try out and "experience" their different products/services for free. They always change up their different "exhibits" (as I like to call it) usually by season. They also host events in the main stage and even host rooftop yoga (all open to the public by registering on their website). Even though I'm an iPhone user, I still love this place. My favorite "exhibit" or experience they had was back when they opened in 2016. It was an Instagram tunnel/chamber filled with screens and mirrors where all your Instagram posts were projected in. It was so cool and futuristic and I was given a good amount of time to be in there alone and take as many pictures/videos as I wanted. Also, a voice read aloud some of my captions which was also cool. Also, this past summer during their Galaxy Note9 release, they hosted a block party with a bunch of food vendors, Note9 experiential spaces, and artists like Logic for free. Only those who were invited were able to enter inside, but the whole block party was open to the public. I love visiting every once in a while to check out what's new!

Yelp
I've been using Samsung phones since the days of the Samsung Juke in 2007 - yeah, look that one up. It was so ahead of its time, holding 2GB of music, which was revolutionary. Anyways, I digress... I bought the Samsung S8+ after an issue with the Samsung S7 home button getting stuck constantly. Within 3 months of using the Samsung S8+, the camera malfunctioned. It was not properly sealed and dust got inside, showing black spots on my photos and ruining over 1,000 family photos. The technicians here sealed it up, but it took 4 visits because they kept over-promising and under-delivering results. When I got my phone, the screen was buggy. It was slower than before, there were lines running all over the screen, and the screen flashed randomly. The background was multicolored and there were a few dead pixels. I let them keep the phone for another 2 days to diagnose but they kept promising those issues would go away in time. Some did, and some did not. I was most bothered by the dead pixels. The technician licked her finger and started rubbing her saliva all over my screen, in an attempt to fix the dead pixel. Disgusting. Now, a year later, those pixels are now flashing and spreading. The earliest appointment I could get was a few days away. By then, the pixels turned black. I have not dropped the phone. The phone screen is 100% intact, without a single scratch. I hauled my rump all the way to the store, an hour journey each way, only for them to tell me that I'm out of warranty and out of luck. The repair will cost $250. For that amount, I can get a refurbished Samsung S8+. They took no responsibility and offered no useful suggestions. After 12 years with Samsung and 2 terrible recent products, I will be changing to the Google Pixel. #bye

Yelp
Don't buy Samsung. My prior television was Samsung and has lasted for years. My Most recent purchase has been an absolute nightmare. I've probably had a total of 20 calls over a period of 6 weeks and Samsung still hasn't addressed my issues. Samsung has the absolute worst customer service and support experience I've ever had for anything I've ever purchased in my life. Seriously don't waste your money.

Yelp
Nice place to get your phone serviced. They have a nice coffee bar and a bunch of cool things to take pictures of or interact with should you choose to stay and wait for your phone while its being repaired. The staff were very nice and welcoming as well.

Yelp
I had a good experience on arrival. The staff was helpful with our questions. We had a chance to experience the VR gear. The 2nd floor has all the new Samsung releases from S6, S7, Note 5 and the new tablets. There was a display for all samsung kitchen gadgets on the 2nd floor and a small donut, sandwich coffee shop. The one reason why I'm giving this 1 stars is that the tech department is slow or maybe inexperienced. I had explained my problem with my S5 is that the software fails to update to Lollipop 5.1.1 and it is still currently stuck on the 5.0 version. The employee told me to try the update and show him why it's failing.....but I had already explained why....it is just a message that comes up saying "software failed to update." So I sat there for 45 mins waiting for the software to download using the free WiFi they offer at the store. After the download completing I show him what the message would say....a failure in software update. He told me to wait some more then passed the software problem to another employee (I think it's because he was going on break) so the new guy looks into my problem he then figured out that I needed a flash update for my software.....filled out a ticket for me and had to wait some more and an hour later......with a total of about 2 hours and 45 minutes of wait time. My S5's software didn't get updated. The problem was not solved. I had to walk out because I had somewhere to be. They seem to have only 1 technician working. The others seems to be just ticket fillers. It was a complete waste of time.

Yelp
Used to love going into this store - such a cool experience! You can test out all their products and gadgets - my favorite are the AR/3D/4D models!

Yelp
I kind of like the place but it's basically Samsung's attempt to get people familiar with some of its stuff. But it's mostly geared towards VR experiences. wise ass short male employee today pulled the oculus glasses right off my head while I was playing a VR game in the "tunnel" and just said "time's up boss" -- and there was no other person even waiting for "the zombie game." What a dick.... honestly good way to piss off a customer... April 14 7:05pm
