Loved our experience at San Antonio Pig Stand. I have been wanting to go to an old dinner for some time now and I am so pleased with this place. From their servers to the food was amazing. I recommend the bacon cheese burger and the fried chicken. Also loved their mozzarella sticks. Their classic milkshake are so creamy and savory.

I had heard this was the last weekend that The Pig Stand was serving food. We tried to eat dinner last night but they closed early. We headed back today for breakfast. It was the first time for my husband, Dad and me and we were able to make it for the last day. Dad waited in the car since there was a line for people to go in. He noticed that this person in line seemed to be by herself and no one talking to her. I approached, introduced myself to Camille and invited her to join us for breakfast. We had fun picking out music to play from the jukebox. Dad had the Supreme Omelette, my husband had the Chicken Fried Steak, I had the Pig Sandwich Combo and Camille had Biscuits and Gravy. Mary Ann stopped by our table. Her daughter, Donna, was also helping out. Monica was a great server and recognized us from yesterday. It's sad to see a historic restaurant close its doors. 101 years! America's first drive-in and inventor of the onion rings. Thank you for the amazing experience! Mary Ann, we wish you well!

Google needs 1/2 stars! My true review would be a 3 1/2. 4 stars is a bit high. Definitely a place I would recommend going at least once. Cool place, very nostalgic. Always good to visit historic places. Food was just okay, priced right though.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is to die for I do believe that there is no other restaurant in San Antonio like this one that can I match this energy. The porcelain pigs really add to the atmosphere it that made my dry, yet delicious meal truly enjoyable. I sit here with my family and I do consider not coming back however I do believe that by chance one day I will be back here in this faux leather seat. I can’t wait to try the desserts for the fries were pretty good and the coleslaw was all right. I enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger while my family enjoyed the pig sandwich, my burger was quite dry but they did seem to enjoy their sandwich. Again the atmosphere really adds to how wonderful this place truly is.

Always good to go to this dinner pretty nice and always a Swap Meat car parts on a Sunday.. a friend introduced this diner too me back in 1993 and ever since been hooked. So everytime I get a chance when coming out of town I come and eat here. I dunno if the chicken fried steak is still huge. But I do like the Bicuit & gravy for breakfast.

1st Time here but I new this place existed, so these people need more workers, service takes for ever and them bringing your order takes even longer. The young Server is realy fast and good, but poor girl not to be the Server for all the tables👎The Food was passable. Prices Reasonable but I will not come back.

Flavor score: A Service score: A Tea score: A Solo dining score: A This is a classic diner in all the good ways. My waitress, Monica, recommend two items on the menu as favorites: the pig sandwich and the chicken fried steak sandwich. I went with the latter and will have to try the famous pig sandwich next time. I'm not sure what made the chicken fried steak sandwich so good but it was surprisingly delicious. The fries and onion rings were unique and both good. The tea was freshly made. The strawberry cake was made in-house and was good. Monica put the icing on the cake, as they say, with attentive, helpful, and cheerful service. I'll be back, San Antonio Pig Stand.

My wife saw a segment on this place during a local morning show so we took a little drive to check it out. Like stepping back in time 40 years! We had onion rings, much bigger crunch than we usually find. Had to order the fried chicken since it was their recipe and breaded in house. Everything was tasty, shame we have lived here 9 years and never heard of them until now.
