San Antonio Resort

I told my personal secretary that the place functions as a motel despite the 2-story structure with the bungalows sticking together in the background several yards away from my unit. I wished for a better breakfast daily as the presentation always was the same. I even had in mind that the resort had seen better days. I was supposed to swim at the pool next to the bungalows, but it was too breezy & cold to do so on a late afternoon. My entourage & I had to visit my secretary's & housekeeper's relatives for my aunt's funeral.l

We had our wedding in the resort last November 15. The wedding was organized by the resort, led by Sir Toto and Ms. Dodie. Both are very professional, precise, warm and treated us like VIP from meetings to the actual wedding. It was a delight having our wedding there. We also booked 25 rooms in the hotel for our guest and everybody was delighted and would want to come back . Rooms were clean, reasonably priced, hotel service is 24/7, free airport transfers, professional and cordial staff - from the front desk, housekeeping teams, cafe staff, drivers etc. It was a fantastic experience. Logistics were executed to the tee. Check ins and check outs were attended very well. The wedding was well planned and executed. San Antonio has great partners to make your special day extra special. It was a delightful experience. We even bumped into the lovely owners of the resort several times and they knew us! They were informed about our event. It goes to show that everybody in the hotel is thinking of you and well aware of what is happening. Above everything else, we have guest from the US, Vietnam, Japan and Korea. Their staff were able to make them feel the Filipino hospitality. We are the happiest guest in this resort.

Price/Quality is perfect, the rooms are quite big but very simple good for one night. The breakfast Buffet is small for so many people, when we arrived there was no more food we had to ask for it. For that price everything was fine.

Great location! Near all the bars and restaurants with seaview. Amazing staff from front desk person(camille) to pool attendants, restaurant staff to driver to the airport and back. Big spacious room, well equipped and very clean. Weekend brunch was amazing so much choices. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay in San Antonio. Location-wise, it is very convenient as it is near the beach, and close to all local amenities. The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. Our room was maintained clean all throughout our stay, with comfortable beds and fast wifi 👌 San Antonio resort is a best choice for a fantastic experience and a nice holiday 😊

Lovely Accommodation a long way out of town but lots of restaurants very nearby. Wi-Fi was a problem but they came and gave us a booster and it was much better. The pancakes at breakfast you pay extra for but they are very delicious and I thoroughly recommend them.

The hotel is very clean and spacious, with a relaxing view in front of the lake. It’s just a short walk to Baybay Beach, 7/11, and several restaurants. The place is really comfortable, quiet, and peaceful — perfect for relaxation. The staff were very accommodating and even made a sweet effort to decorate with petals for our anniversary. Highly recommended!

This resort seems to be on a downturn in its fortunes. Well built backing onto a little lake and fronted by the sea on the devastated beach side across the Arnaldo Boulevard. The room we got was full of unnecessary small glitches: as usual in this country, little or no maintenance on services, and so the handyman had to come over several times to solve TV, shower pressure, etc. Too bad that a recent typhoon messed with their barkada huts, and that Covid-19 has been plaguing them just like the rest of us for 6 months now, as it's hard to get a good read on what their usual services are like... Their complimentary breakfast from the main hotel kitchen was only average and barely okay, but palatable. The spacious but smaller room was quite expensive at 2500 pesos, but better than most. Trying for 3-star hotel status is cool, but doesn't reach it: the grounds are weed-infested, and rust along the eaves tell the story of neglect for a long time. But we enjoyed our stay enough. The pool backing onto the little lake is very good. Clean and designed for families, it has 3 depth levels, and is pleasant enough. But the surrounding facilities - banquet hall, small convention area, playground with slides - all show more signs of long-term neglect. Cafe Felisa, a nice restaurant attached to the resort's motel-like wing is facing the highway, and is quite good. Their baby-back ribs with mashed potatoes and pasta were good, and the young man making the lattes and shakes is as good as any barista anywhere. Lucked out. As for other food venues, a few very good fresh seafood line the boulevard up the street: El Maria's has great fish, sea pod salad, oysters and angel-wing clams. The Indian and Korean restos were disappointing for different reasons, but you might like them. It seems that it's foreign-owned, as it's just too well built for most pinoy, but whomever the owner is, it's not looking good. Overall a good place to stay but next time we will try another beach strip hotel to see what is best for us... Check it out?
