"Away from the hustle and bustle of Big Bear Boulevard sits this cabin, secluded enough that it feels like stepping into a private forest, yet still close enough to all the action Big Bear offers."

Gotta love big bear lake. It is still quaint, quiet, peaceful and easy to get to. A day on the lake, a weekend adventure, a staycation. Big bear has always been "that place". Not the most luxurious, not the most primitive, but just the right amount of both. You can stay at a nice hotel, lodge or house, or you can rough it. I had all for most. There have been some improvements, but the best part is it remains the same as in comfortable, friendly, and inviting. Love to ski, come in the winter, love to hike, come in the spring or fall, love to boat, come in the summer and enjoy the lake. Local (ish) and lovely.

We drove through here between Running Springs and it was gorgeous! We missed that there is a redwood grove but we saw one on a roadside stop! Lots of flowers in re covering fire area - good to see. It made the fire not totally depressing.

Climbing the Vivian Creek Trail to the summit of Mount Gogornio was the most challenging hike I've taken in decades. Conditions were perfect, the views were absolutely stunning, other hikers very friendly, and the whole experience highly recommended. But the 17.6 mile round trip hike was extremely challenging: physically and psychologically demanding. Be aware of the possibility of altitude sickness.

This national forest is by far one of my favorites to explore. I'll pack my day bag with food and a good stash of snacks, throw on my best hiking boots, and hit the trails without a second thought. The air feels fresher, the views are unreal, and every turn brings a new hidden gem waiting to be discovered. Whether it’s a peaceful solo trek or an adventure with friends, this place never disappoints. Can’t wait to be back for another round of exploring!

It was very good experience inside the camping , but the road to get there was the worst , very difficult and dangerous access. Need to have very big car . Bathroom was ok , not too bad . The view arround was amazing .

Wonderful! Took the kids camping for the first time and enjoyed it so much they didn't want to leave! Campsite where we pitched the tent was well attended. Restrooms were very clean. We had a storage locker for food that we could lock. Attendants checked on us each day, and even bought us firewood when we got low. Very family friendly... Will be back!

For anyone planing on visiting, and or trying to hike to the peak, make sure you bring snow shoes, it's also a 4 hour hike to the peak but it takes less then a hour to get to the places with the pictures attached, the view IS WORTH IT
