San Deck, Bar & Restaurant

Went there for a lunch date with my friend, nice place and great atmosphere, we had complimentary bread and butter, it was really nice, i ordered fish and mash and a strawberry mocktail(really good)…..the fish was on the bland side and very oily, the mash was just ok and the tartar sauce not so good! When i got home i had an upset stomach so i threw the doggy bag i had, maybe my second visit there will be excellent!

I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing this place is! The decor is stylish, the atmosphere inviting, and the food reasonably priced. Service was outstanding, I was a 10/10 experience.

The hostess will show you to a table and leave you there without assigning a waiter. You’ll end up waiting until you take it upon yourself to call one. Even then, the service is still poor. The food was okay.

10/10 only because our server was absolutely amazing. Mduduzi (he wears glasses) such a nice guy made sure we were comfortable and warm, he even offered us blankets as it was getting cold. Everything from food, drinks & service was amazing.

I had a fantastic birthday celebration at San Deck bar and restaurant with my family and friends. The highlight of our evening was the delicious meat platter we ordered. The variety and quality of meats were exceptional, and everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed it. The ambiance was great, the staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience memorable. One of the standout features of this place is the cozy fireplace, adding to the overall warmth and charm of the venue. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a balcony with a breathtaking view of the city skyline, enhancing the dining experience further. I highly recommend San Deck for anyone looking for a delightful dining experience with excellent food, friendly service, and a fantastic view of the Sandton city.

I loved this place! The food was affordable and delicious, with generous portions. I even took some home, and it was enough to fill me up. The service was excellent. What really impressed me was the non-smoking section, which was a big plus since I'm pregnant. I highly recommend it.

We stayed a night at the hotel & had early breakfast. Restaurant is open from 6.30am. We ordered breakfast choices of dishes and drinks from the menu. Surprised to see that there were buffet options too and lots of options to choose from. Desserts, salads, nuts, dried fruits & fresh fruits. Yogurts and lots of fresh fruits drinks. I liked the ginger shots! So refreshing. Liked the smoked salmon. Service is good and staff friendly. We were part of a tour group visiting South Africa. Lovely city Johannesburg.

Beautiful restaurant with plenty of seating and a very classy vibe. Everyone was very welcoming, this time (last time we were turned away by the entrance by a security guard but he allowed the white couple behind us to enter). The security guard we spoke to today was very welcoming and friendly. Also he was appalled to hear how we were treated the last time, so I'm guessing it's not normal behavior, which is great. Lynette was the perfect hostess, very attentive and friendly. Also she gave the best food recommendations, that oxtail was too die for, it literally fell off the bone. Was pleasantly surprised. Although I had asked for medium done steak, it was 100% done. Also the manager came to check on us too. All in all, the food was divine and the drinks were heavenly. Will definitely be back.
