San Diego Automotive Museum

A nice stop for car enthusiasts, especially if you’re already exploring Balboa Park. The museum features a mix of classic cars and vintage motorcycles, and the rotating exhibits keep things interesting. It’s not a massive collection, you can comfortably see everything in about an hour, but the vehicles are well displayed and enjoyable to view up close. Worth visiting, just manage expectations about the size.

Its a decent museum but I think its more categored towards car enthusiasts and not general public. Decent number of displays were recent(2020s). The price for the ticket did not completely justify the total number of displays. There were couple of cars that one could get into but not enough.

It is a nice smaller Automotive Museum. I thought it would be bigger at first with more cars, but it seems like they swap out a majority of the cars every few months or have a different theme every few months as well. I was lucky enough to go when the collection was Ferraris which was a cool sight to see. I do wish it was a large automotive museum with more cars to see though.

I spent the entire day, and enjoyed every minute of it. Everyone there was so nice and helpful, and the museum was fantastic to see and photograph. They even have an incredible library with a real treasure trove of classic volumes. They have such an incredible array of significant cars! Trying to narrow down my favorites is almost impossible. But it was a special treat getting to see the latest Gen 7 NASCAR test car along with a classic ’73 Dodge NASCAR racer. I also especially liked the eclectic mix of the REO, Cord, XK120, Toyota CART race car, Lamborghini Countach, and 1913 Cadillac Model 30. The land speed record motorcycle was amazing. They also had an exhibit of San Diego police cars. I got a kick out of the donut and the Monopoly Get Out of Jail Free cards on the dash of the Adam-12 police car. The paddy wagon was pretty cool, too. They also have the police car that chased down that errant tank during its rampage years ago. The display of ten important engines was also intriguing. It was especially great seeing the Mazda 13B rotary next to the BMW M10 engine, since I previously owned cars with both engines. My favorite may have been the Louie Mattar’s Fabulous Car. The display (including a video) was a phenomenal way to show off the amazing details of a unique and truly fabulous car and its trailer. I’d previously read articles about it, so it was great to see it in person and so well preserved. Speaking of videos, they had plenty of videos that accented individual cars or exhibits. Especially if you're a car buff, it's definitely well worth spending time reading the plaques, too. They help place that particular car in the amazing and varied history of the automobile. Highly recommended.

The museum is ok but nothing more than that. It cost $19 to enter, and for that you get to see about 20ish cars and 12- 15 historic motorcycles. There are a number of very interesting cars (the Cord being my fave), but it is quite an unbalanced, random selection, pedestrianally displayed and with erratic information boards. It could be so much better - and ought to be for the entry price.

Our child loves cars, so we decided to visit the San Diego Automotive Museum. It’s not very large, so it’s good for visiting with kids and exploring comfortably at a relaxed pace. There’s also a small library with many books about automobiles as well. After purchasing our tickets, we learned that there is a 1-Day Pass that allows entry to four selected museums within Balboa Park. The staff immediately helped us with a refund so we could switch to the better option. To save time, I purchased the 1-Day Pass online, but unlike other places, there was a message saying we needed to print the confirmation after completing payment. I was honestly very confused and a bit panicked. Thankfully, a very kind staff member explained that if I had entered my email address, a voucher would be sent to me, and it was resolved right away. I was so flustered that I didn’t even check her name, but I would truly like to thank the lovely staff member with a long hair, glasses and a nose piercing. Her kindness made a big difference for us. Thanks to the helpful and friendly staffs at the Automotive Museum, we were able to fully enjoy Balboa Park. Their warm smiles and thoughtful guidance will surely make your visit wonderful as well. If you plan to truly explore Balboa Park as a traveler and visit more than just one museum or gallery, especially if you have more than two days, I highly recommend purchasing the “Parkwide Pass” from the beginning. I bought the Explorer Pass online, but it seems you can also purchase passes directly at the museums in person.

It’s a cool, small car museum. Some of the cars can really make your heart race, even if you’re not a car enthusiast. There’s something special about them. I was also expecting to see the original 1991 Acura NSX, but it’s gone due to the annual exhibition renewal that occurs every February

Interesting museum with cool facts, cars, and history. Not a large variety of cars (makes) but beautiful well maintained or restored vehicles for viewing. They have library which looked interesting but sadly it was closed today. You can spend a couple hours depending on how much or little of a car enthusiast you are. Definitely a visit if you or someone in your group likes cars... it will make you or the person happy!

While in San Diego, we decided to revisit Balboa Park. It's a beautiful place to walk around. We decided to check in to the visitor center and check out all the information on the park. We ended up buying a family yearly pass to all the parks museum attractions!! The automotive museum was the on the smaller scale museum in the park. It has all kinds of beautiful cars and motorcycles. If you appreciate the older vehicles and its history, then this will intrigued you. They have a rotating exhibit as well as permanent displays. Some people will loan their cars for people to see and some have permanently donated it to the museum. They have great volunteers with knowledgeable information on the history of these beauties of the past. There's so much information about this museum. It's best you come and get the stories from the amazing volunteers! They are better storytellers than me! ;)

A small but an intentional and well curated collection of cars. Brought a car bestie here to allow then to see a few rare cars he's never seen. As someone who appreciates cars and is constantly learning more, it was educational and fun. You can easily look at everything in an hour or less.

I went into this museum because my son is a huge car aficionado. It was a great museum for him because there was the holy trinity- if you're a car guy or a gal you know what that means- and then a lot of other really cool cars of course. I was fascinated by the car that was outfitted by a man so he could take road trips across the country without ever stopping. I also really, really loved the research library with a ton of amazing car books and research materials. That would be so useful for anyone interested in cars

Honestly came by to take a picture with Santa but he was no where in sight LOL so I decided to walk around and check out these cool cars. The museum had Santa Claus for December night event. Glad I stumbled in by accident. It was free admission for December nights (12/6/24). Great staff on standby. The vibe was chill. I enjoyed my time visiting this museum.

This place was a perfect go to for around an hour and half walk through for my dad's 70th birthday. The staff were informative and gave helpful tips about where to walk through and what you were able to sit on and take pictures in. These cars and motorcycles were so clean and well kept. The information placed was helpful for my 8 year old even down to the tools and machinery. They have a library that is perfect if you're up for sitting and reading while waiting for a family member- even have a space for kids to sit and enjoy. They offer different pricing based on age as well as if you have an EBT card. Thought everyone should know! This place is a great stop when you're wanting to check out a museum for a day walking around balboa park area with your family.

Not a lot of cars but fun enough to look at. It's a shame that some of the cars in the museum still requiring license tags-greedy government. I love the engine section where engines were built so simple and easy to understand. The evolutions of a bicycle with a tiny gas engine to what we see today as motorcycles and ebikes.

Took family here while in town. I always love the cars. If you come during the week it's easy to park and less crowded. We had a wonderful time.

This charming small museum can be explored in about 30 minutes. It features an extensive collection of motorcycles and vintage cars dating back to the early 1900s, along with detailed historical information. San Diego residents enjoy free entry on the fourth Tuesday of each month. The museum is well-maintained, spotless, and staffed by exceptionally friendly employees.

let me start by saying everyone who worked here was lovely. this is not their fault. however, as a car enthusiast calling this an "automotive museum" is generous. total waste of time and money. community car shows have wayyyyy more cars and more diversity of cars. if you've ever been to even a moderately sized car show-you will be disappointed. also, i had hope at the end "maybe they have something cool in the gift shop" nope. nothing cool. a few overpriced old toys and embarrassing polyester bowling shirts with cars printed on them.

Amazing museum with an ever revolving collection. Have not been here since before COVID, but remember fondly spending about an hour to an hour and half reading every exhibit (I'm a nerd and car guy). Loved the ever changing exhibits and highlighting of some lesser known topics of the automotive world. Last time I was here I really enjoyed the collection of Steven McQueen motorcycles and cars. Really cool. Stuff! Hard to beat this amazing location where this museum is housed. Something for everyone and the park grounds are beautiful.

It is good yet very small. Unique however in what they have here to see. It's just you can be in and out within 20 minutes possibly. Nonetheless, unique to see

Not really worth the price. We had high hopes for this museum, and no doubt there are some interesting and cool cars. But the admission is overpriced, particularly for children. We did single day, single museum tickets, and $15 per child is simply too much for what is there. (Going to see a movie in a theater costs less and would be far more exciting and intereseting.) We saw everything in about 30 minutes but had to keep walking around several times and playing in the arcade/kids' space (which is very small) in order to feel like we got our money's worth. And even then it still felt way too expensive. Dropping the children's price by half or even entirely would make this museum worth it and would pique my interest to visit again to see if there are any new exhibits. Sorry, the value just is not there.

I usually visit every few years, and this time took advantage of the annual The Big Exchange reciprocal deal, and I'm glad that I did. Although this museum is not massive, it's always interesting, enlightening, clean, and well laid out, and with good didactics. The cars are my favorites, although there are plenty of motorcycles also on display. I especially love seeing the unusual cars, and enjoy learning about the ones that I've never heard of. (This time, the Sonders, which is a beautiful car, with a very cool negative space/positive space logo). Reading the signage, although pretty informative, usually leaves me with a few questions, so I am always glad that there is a knowledgeable person present, who will happily answer questions. The current display includes a short video on how the shape of a car is arrived at: CAD and then carefully carving a life-sized clay model! What a great job! Some reviewers claim that this is too small of a collection, but quite frankly, I think Peterson's (though I have not been there, yet) sounds overwhelming and daunting. The size of this museum suits me just fine.

The Breaking Bad suv is here! They have a kids corner with 2 arcade racing games free! Legos and race track thing and race car to pose in for kids. Back to Future like car and old old old school car, you can get into both. The car along the mirror wall is something EVERYONE will enjoy!!!! Just trust me. I read a review saying the same and yes! It's true. Purposely not posting any photos of this car I'm talking about because I want you to be as surprised as we were. Don't spoil it. See it for yourself. Workers are super polite and helpful, just ask. Clean bathrooms I could care less about cars, I'm a Toyota girl because they last and i can change the oil, tires, n alternator but that's about it. I still enjoyed this visit. Kids did too.

Way too many 'do not touch' signs in this place, why are they so full of themselves it's just old cars. Plus a docent and two security guards near the door to also told us 'do not touch'. I swear, I promise not to touch your cars!

Once again, haven't been in here since COVID and they had been closed for sometime as they were doing alot of renovation. Today was free Tuesday for locals. I actually had volunteered here for a few months. I grew up around beautiful sports cars and really enjoyed myself while I was there. I really liked what they did to the space in there. And all the beautiful cars that were added today, they changed it up a few times a year. If you enjoy looking at beautiful cars from the 1800 and up be sure to check it out. There is a lot of history here and it is kid friendly. Also a small area gift shop. Here are some beautiful car's and some of my favorites. Oh, and if you are a motorcycle lover there are some great bikes here.

So many cool cars to see here! We really enjoyed walking through this museum. There was also a small library room with a kid's section which we enjoyed.

Amazing and beautiful cars and motorcycles. Was hoping to see more Porches for the Power of Porsche exhibit though. But still quite enjoyable.

Free for San Diego residents on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Double check website for details. Nice museum with a bunch of different cars to look at. It would be nice if the museum was larger in size, but it's still a San Diego treasure and a fun family outing. Inside the gift shop they have reasonably priced ice creams for kiddos and adults. Staff is friendly and helpful if you have any questions.

Museum Month brought me to the San Diego Automotive Museum. A 17,000 square foot clear span building contains the exhibits, which also include trucks and motorcycles, despite the museum's limiting name. Speaking of motorcycles, there are several very well curated exhibits of Harley, Honda, Indian and other brands. Good collections, antique to modern examples. I was very surprised by the gullwing 2011 Corvette. I had no idea such a car existed. Apparently is was a prototype or a custom car. Oh, and if you want to go Back To The Future, you can sit in an unrestored DeLorean car. Yep, gullwings again, made in Ireland. A few lowriders show off beautiful paint and pinstriping. It's a modest museum, but very well-organized and decidedly well-staffed. The staff members that I talked to were very knowedgeable and friendly. The gift shop is excellent, displaying interesting souvenirs, clothing, vehcle models, shot glasses and other items for both tourists and locals. Well worth a visit.

This museum is free one Tuesday a month for San Diego residents. So, my husband and I and our eight year old son went on the Free Tuesday. I could see ahead of us in line, some people were being turned away from entry. So when it was our turn, I went up to the twenty-something who was managing the table and showed her our proof of residency. She told me that only I would be able to get in for free, but my husband and son would need to pay the full price, even after my husband and I showed her our CA Driver's licenses. I explained that this was my husband and son with me, and she couldn't seem to grasp that they were eligible too, as we are a household and the three of us live together. I finally had to ask to see a manager, who had to come and set her straight. The whole experience was embarrassing and it kind of left a bad impression. Found other staff to be rude and indifferent too. Don't really feel the need to go back. For the amount of time it takes to see everything, the regular price of admission seems to be on the pricey side, frankly.

Cute. Not nearly as large as the Petersen, but a great stop among the other museums. Louie Mathews car is an interesting labor of love.

I now understand why some gave this a 5 star review but some just 1. If you like cars and are interested in reading the details and history about each car, then yes it could be a great experience. If you just wanna look at some cars that can wow you without knowing the history, and you have to pay more than $10 to get in, then it could be a subpar experience for you. For me, it's a decent experience because I was able to get in for free on a Tuesday as a San Diego resident. (They'll need to see your drivers license.) I don't care much about antique or unique cars. I'd like to see some expensive European sports cars but it wasn't the right place. (I only spotted one red Lamborghini.) Most of the cars were American cars and some were as old as in the early 1900s. There was also an area with motorcycles. My son had a great time checking out all the cars. Some cars had their hood opened and the engine was exposed so he could look inside. I'd say, if someone likes cars (my son) and it's free admission, definitely go check it out! But because I don't know anything about cars, I wouldn't pay to get in. The museum wasn't that big. With a quick walk we were done in about 15 mins. Oh and the bathroom was clean. It's at the back so you would have to have a ticket to use their bathroom.

The volunteers are so helpful and knowledgeable. They all are friendly and make it a great experience. I love that they switch out the cars from time to time.

I went here for the first time on an early Thursday in February and unfortunately, I was very underwhelmed. It literally took 15-20 minutes to walk through the whole thing. If you're comparing it to the Peterson Automotive Museum in L.A., you'll really be disappointed and the admission price for Peterson is just $4 more per person and it's a whole lot larger. But, I don't know unless I go, so it's over now. I wish I had my money back. I think even the The Zimmerman Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo has more vehicles, but it could be about the same. I know it took me 15-20 minutes to walk through there as well,

Museum itself was quite small but lots of interesting cars! I liked the racing car in the "kid" area and also the delorean. As we left, there wasn't really anyone manning the souvenir shop. I guess no one wanted to take our money but then we just went to the check-in area and paid there.

Beautiful museum and the staff was helpful and sweet to us. Thank you again. I would definitely visit once again maybe the end of the year or if they have a special event soon.

For the size of the space they have this collection is really impressive and what's even more amazing is they seem to change it out every other month. If you like cars it's definitely worth the visit.

Lots of older and late model cars to see. Lots of motorcycles, too. All are labeled with a brief description. The museum is not real big, but it's big enough to keep your interest. We enjoyed it. Check your reciprocating memberships before arriving.

PROS: One of the best places to come and visit. This has cars dating back to the 20s all in working condition. There are even some cars that look like movie cars (ghostbusters, Jurassic park, scooby doo). They also have motorcycles which I wasn't expecting CONS: The place was small for a museum and their selection of cars wasn't as wide as I would have hoped. OVERALL: if you even has the slightest interest in cars I would come here. You would be missing out if you didn't

Balboa Park has many museums, this is one of my favorites when I have time. It's free and the art is amazing. Don't be shy about getting a docent tour.

I can't say anything about the museum itself because I didn't go into it. This is a word of caution in your planning--we came to San Diego for spring break from Washington with our 17-year-old museum-loving daughter and her boyfriend. One of the two things they really wanted to do was to come to this museum, as the BF is a car lover. The day we were able to swing it also happened to be my birthday and (sorry) I didn't want to go to an automotive museum for my birthday (bike ride on Coronado Island planned for that!), so we bought them tickets online and attempted to walk them in to get them started. We were told that they had to be accompanied by an adult and they were denied admission. I just have to say how disappointed I am and they are. To deny two young, responsible people who wanted to learn about the very thing this museum is passionate about is discouraging. We were told we could have a refund through the website, but the contact email bounced back, so at this point we paid for a museum we were unable to visit. Again, we didn't enter the museum, so my review does not relate to that, so I wouldn't discourage you from going as a family, just make sure an adult is present. And I have two youth tickets for today, if you're interested. I'll update this review if we hear back from the Facebook message we sent them (and get refunded).

Just an okay museum; we've been to bigger and better auto museums. I'm not really interested in cars, so I'm sure that may have impacted my ability to genuinely enjoy this particular experience, but my husband says that he liked it but agrees that it wasn't the greatest auto museum. It was neat to see the orange station wagon (WOW, it was SO LONG!), Sinatra's cab, and the famous $75,000 car. One of the best parts of the experience was looking at all the really cool paint jobs!! So I'll give this place kudos for that... I was blown away by the paint on so many of these vehicles. I wasn't a fan of how many low riders there were and it was almost overwhelming how the vehicles were set up, particularly the motorcycles. It was like they were just thrown all together in the display. It would've been REALLY cool if the cars and bikes were displayed in chronological order beginning with oldest to newest. Average experience that I'm glad we checked off our list of to-do's, but I probably wouldn't come here more than once. Unless you're into cars, it seems like one of those one-and-done kind of places.

This was a great experience. I am not much of a car person but I enjoyed seeing all of the different cars and the current exhibit of the cars from films was great and nostalgic. I loved seeing the older cars and the Bits of information they had about them. The motor cycles were pretty cool as well. In writing this review I just had an epiphany. While I was there I was wondering why they had motorcycles in an automotive museum thinking automotive pertained to cars only. Well, I literally just realized that a motorcycle is an automobile (duh Janay). Anyway, those were also awesome and I think the oldest one was from like the 1920s. They also have a scavenger hunt you can do as well. In order to be successful at that you have to read all of the cards in front of the vehicle thoroughly. We were not successful. The only reason this was not a 5/5 was because it was so freaking hot in there, Zero air flow, not a fan in sight. But overall it was cool and you should check it out if you're into automobiles, including motorcycles, cars, and trucks.

My son thoroughly enjoyed this place. We didn't have a lot of time as it was closing in 45 minutes, but we took pictures of everything. The staff was friendly and my son said it was his favorite thing in San Diego. He has memories for a long time and will hopefully draw some of them.

It's been awhile for us in visiting our local museums; hence today was it. The weather was good and antsy to be out and about.

Great place to visit if you're in the Balboa Park area. Parking was easy to find and was close to other museums. You can even sit inside the DeLorean!

Don't go unless you want your HIPAA rights violated!! I visited the museum and before they let you in, there's an employee outside asking if you're fully vaccinated. I was extremely surprised when I was asked since it's common knowledge that you aren't supposed to ask medical questions such as that. Plus it's stupid because if you don't want to wear a mask, of course you're going to say that you've been vaccinated. Besides having my HIPAA rights violated, this museum really isn't worth the admission prices. Luckily I went on the fourth Tuesday of the month, so it was free. I would have been upset if I paid $14 to see like 15-20 cars. Half the museum is full of old motorcycles, which were ok, but I was there for cars, not motorcycles. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk around the entire museum and then you're done. I walked around twice, and I was in and out in 20 minutes. I can go to a Cars & Coffee meet and see more interesting cars than they had in the museum. They have a gaudy gold vinyl wrapped Rolls Royce owned by Attorney King Aminpour. It was hilarious reading the description talking about how intricate the wrap was. Anybody can slap on a tasteless gold wrap and call it a day. Overall, this museum definitely isn't worth the money. I would only suggest it on a day it's free and you want to get out of the house and walk around Balboa Park. Especially with the whole HIPAA violation you'll have to deal with.

Don't see vintage car museums everyday, so while I was in San Diego I dropped in to the San Diego Automotive Museum. $9 for adults, $7 with AAA or a senior. San Diego county residents get in free the 4th Tuesday of the month to this museum. Unfortunately it was not that day, otherwise I would have snuck in with my CA driver license. I got a 5 museums in one day pass for $45. Very enthusiastic volunteer at the entry booth. Half of the museum is a temporary display, with the display changing every year or so. The temporary display this time featured station wagons, which I mostly skipped. . One station wagon of interest was the 1973 Volvo 1800, a two door station wagon with flashy curved fish bowl styling, as opposed to the boxy shaped 4 door Volvos of later decades. Part of the museum was of vintage cars, starting with the 1914 4 door Ford convertible which drove on the planked road from Arizona to San Diego. Must have had a lot of flats from splinters to the thin tires! And imagine being in the back seat of a car going over planks for hundreds of miles. Wouldn't wish this even on my ex! There was a 1933 Ford Deluxe roadster and a similar vintage 4 door convertible, complete with whitewalls. Something you might see at the Concours D'elegance in Pebble Beach for $375! Entering the modern era, I see one of 3 1966 Bizzarrini P538 sports cars ever produced, equipped with a Lamborghini V12, and a top speed of 170mph. Alongside is a 1974 Lamborghini Countach, one of the most beautiful cars ever designed, with a top speed of 180mph. There also a few forgettable cars including the AMC Gremlin -AMC's attempt to build a subcompact car by simply cutting off the rear end of an AMC Hornet- and the Citroen 2CV, among the most crude vehicles ever built after WW2, which was seen in the movie American Graffiti. There are a few motorcycles, including a 1948 Indian chief sidecar, and a 1965 White BMW sidecar. Too bad the temporary display was station wagons. Who in their right mind would pay to see station wagons? Something that only soccer moms drove, and I wouldn't want to be seen alive in one.

Apparently, I'm a fan of cars. When I used to live in New York City, I always went to the New York International Auto Show and now that I'm in San Diego, I've gone to the San Diego International Auto Show every year. In the 2017 San Diego International Auto Show, they featured some of the antique cars from the San Diego Automotive Museum. The San Diego Automotive Museum is located in Balboa Park near the San Diego Air & Space Museum. The museum is 1 level filled with old school antique cars including an old Mini Cooper as well as motorcycles. I must say... cars back in the day look way nicer than they do now! Good if you have an hour or so to peruse and browse through the museum. More time needed if you're really really into cars! One of the smaller museums in Balboa Park. I'm not really a car guy, so take this review with a grain of salt. They definitely have some interesting vintage cars especially motorcycles, but there is nothing really "amazing" here. There were several docents walking around with some interesting bits of information, but it was otherwise unremarkable. The "kids" area is in need of an upgrade. Need to provide more for kids to do for sure. By adding some atmosphere to this place with additional info about the cars and more interactive displays, this could be a really nice museum, but in its present state, it's a bit blah.

Love the cars! But moreso, love the volunteers!!! They're all super nice dudes, and they know their cars man! Very cool layout! Even if you don't like cars, you'll be impressed by at least 10 cars. If you're a hog guy/girl, they have motorcycles too! Awesome ones at that. They have a couple of cars that you can sit and take pictures in. Kind of cool, but our kids liked them and that's what's important. A while back they had an exhibit of low riders and that was awesome! Bring it back!!!!! Would be cool if they would add an interactive driving spot: maybe electric carts, or driving arcade games (free), a PlayStation with Grand Turismo with the steering wheels controller, take a ride option (rotating car choices), Disney Cars section (throwing out a wild card idea), nascar drivers signature events, etc. Either way, this place is awesome for all ages.

My son loves vintage cars so we had to check out the Automotive Museum on our last visit to Balboa Park. This is not the largest museum, but it does have a good selection of cars here. My son and I enjoyed wandering around this museum, reading up on each of these lovely old cars. My son had lots of questions though. When we asked if they did tours here, one of the volunteers (I think his name was Tom) mentioned that he could show us around. He gave us some great information about each of the cars here and answered all of our questions. He was so knowledge and made this exhibit really interesting. Besides cars, this museum had a unique selection of motorcycles and even some bicycles too. My son even got to have a photo taken in one of these beautiful cars. This is a great museum, and the wonderful volunteer made it even more fun. We look forward to going back and seeing what new cars will be shown here!

The museum is not big. In fact, they've managed to cram quite a few classic cars into this small space. I'm not a huge fan of cars. In fact, I wasn't even sure I'd enjoy it, but it wasn't all bad. Lots of Ferraris. Hubby and the young man both enjoyed it. Took about 20 mins to get through the whole museum (for me at least).

I liked the cars that were featured here, but it is a small museum that features everything in one room. It was a good stop for me since I had the Go card, but I'm not sure I'd come here if I was paying individual museum admissions. It won't take more than 30-60 minutes to view everything. I believe admission is about $10 per person without a promotion. The museum is about an even split between cars and motorcycles. Motorcycle enthusiasts would probably enjoy that section of the museum. The cars that were displayed were interesting. There were old cars as well as "newer" cars. The common theme was more rare or unusual cars instead of simply old cars. Each car had a plaque at the side detailing price, history, and specs.

I'm not much of a car person, but I found this museum interesting. There are cars and motorcycles from all eras, even some that have been in movies or owned by celebrities. There are several volunteers or workers around that love to answer questions or tell you all about a car. Plan on spending a good amount of time if you want to really learn some history. This one does have a small area for kids, but it's really geared more toward adults.
