Do NOT pay for a reserved seat. These aren't honored.
Do NOT pay for a free seat next to you. These aren't honored.
The bus reservation system is an unheeded scam.
Do NOT bring a large bag. The bus driver won't let you take it on the bus.
Do NOT talk to the bus driver. The bus driver will yell at you.
Do NOT ask questions of the bus driver. The bus driver will yell at you.
This creates a catch-22, damned if you do and damned if you don't. You can't talk to the bus driver, but if you don't ask what time to be back on the bus at lunch he will also yell at you.
If you want to have a horrible, miserable, scary ride, in which a bus driver yells at you, intentionally swerves when people use the restroom, threatens to nullify your ticket, takes off from the rest stop without you (while keeping your luggage) because they don't bother checking to see if you're on board when he leaves earlier than announced, ride Flixbus.
FlixBus, where the bus driver will tell you that his job is to drive the bus to the destination, not the passengers. Literally, their job is "bus driver" not "customer service."
