"Poncey-Highlands' Bay Area Coffee Shop A local couple loved the coffee shops of the Bay Area so much that in 1992 they opened their own version in Virginia-Highland. San Francisco hand roasts their Arabica beans daily and the baked goods you see behind the counter are also made daily. There's plenty of parking and outdoor seating where you can bring your furry friends."

I take my coffee black and I can pay and pour it into my own mug here. The tables are pretty small--enough for you and a laptop or up to three people with nothing but coffee on the table--but I like the simplicity of it. And the coffee is fresh and tasty. I had the medium roast organic Mexican blend which went down light and smooth. You could drink several of these so I did. Very busy in the mornings, but enough seating even if you have to wait a minute for a good spot to open up.

As stated in other reviews, the place is a bit pricey for what you get. My cold brew was OK, I drink it black and the flavor was a bit lacking. That could be preference. The three star was due to price versus value. Service was OK, but not great. The barista was pretty cold, efficient, and stoic. Usually I expect a bit of friendly banter or at least a smile and a hello. I didn't get that either. Still it's a cool place with fast internet. The brownie was really good too.

This place is very comfortable, quiet enough to sit down and enjoy a book but loud enough to have a conversation with your bestfriend with out worrying about being rude. The shop is very clean and well kept. Their fudge cake with buttercream icing is the best chocolate cake I've ever had. Hands down! The owner is down to earth and professional and the employees are pleasant.

Love the coffee here, and that they let me drink my water from a real glass.

What would my lunch breaks be without this place? $2 coffee with 75 cent refills isn't bad in the competitive market of hipster coffee shops. Great selection of large muffins, brownies, & pastries along woth healthier options like boiled eggs and hummus dip concoctions. Ample seating, sparse outlets, and wonderful natural light.

All their coffee, from drip to cold brew to espresso, is on point. Baked goods and morning sandwiches are always delicious, and I can never resist the croissants! Also, very friendly staff, comfortable seating.

Super nasty Barista asked if I could come in with my dog she treated me like Milo and I got a got a nasty sickness ... and said I would like to buy a coffee she said no animal here so I said no business right ? So the attitude and not even offer to get the coffee or what else the have she lost a business and a customer because I will not step on their store which was not even busy ✌🏻🐶 Be nice to stranger because dog or not you lost a customer! Plus I'm in town to scape from the hurricane in south Florida and visit my son at Emory
