San Jose Civic

This venue is a treasure. What a beautiful historic building. It’s in a clean, safe area of downtown and is conveniently located next to the freeway, light rail, and a (paid) parking garage with ample spaces. I was there for Onew on 1/9/26. Entry was quick, and the lobby is very spacious and clean, especially the bathrooms. Loved seeing all those photos of past performers. All employees, from security to food service, were incredibly friendly and willing to help. As for the concert itself, getting in and out of the hall was seamless. The acoustics were great and I was able to hear the performer clearly. Each seat has enough room to situate yourself easily. Overall, everything was maintained and facilitated incredibly well and I’ll always recommend others to attend a show here.

San Jose Civic is a great venue for live events. I went there for a stand-up comedy show and had a really good experience. The atmosphere was lively, seating was decent, and it felt well as it was organized overall. Solid spot for performances in San Jose.

Great place to enjoy the evening with Mexican singer and composer Jose Maria Napoleon. Even though the seats we were, were small with limited leg room, we sat up in the balcony. If you're a tall person or wide in the shoulders and hips, you WON'T fit in these seats. Try the bottom seats instead.

Wonderful historical space, an intimate event space with lots of character. I have been here several times for different events and always enjoy their mixed drinks, hospitality and smaller event space compared to traditional large events. Check out upstairs bar for a cool view and a step back in time..

San Jose Civic is a beautiful, historic theater in San Jose with many great seats. I’ve attended many wonderful concerts, shows, and private events at this venue. There is plenty of parking nearby or feel free to take the light rail, VTA buses, or an Uber. It’s located in downtown near many hotels and restaurants. You need to checkout their website for the different awesome events. I can’t wait to return!

Been to the San Jose Civic a few times. It can get crowded, but the lines move pretty fast. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I’d suggest parking a few blocks away. 2nd & San Carlos Street Garage is a short walk, and they give 90 minutes free

Beatiful theater always en San Jose City 100% recommended, a good place to see your world-class artists much more economically.
