San José Free Walking Tour

First time taking a free walking tour and it was well worth it. Communication after booking was detailed, Iso our guide was extremely enthusiastic and passionate about her job and San Jose. We went to the main attractions (other than the market) with detailed information and history throughout. Highly recommended!!

First time doing a free walking tour. Guille was great. What a great way to learn about the city and country’s history and meet new people!

I joined the San José Free Walking Tour and found the overall experience to be both well-organized and engaging. It's a great introduction for anyone who has just arrived in Costa Rica. The tour provides interesting insights into the country’s culture and history while giving you a good overview of San José. The whole tour lasts about two and a half hours, so it does require a bit of physical stamina. If you have the time, I highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your trip — it will definitely make your time in Costa Rica more meaningful.

Great walking tour, recommended to us by friends, as well as being highly reviewed and featuring in the latest Lonely Planet guide. We were a large group (around 25) and Guille coped well, making sure we could all see/hear, keeping us engaged, and not losing anyone along the way. San José is an interesting city, with really good food and drink, and we enjoyed getting the insights of a local.

Our group pick this activity spontaneously without really any ideas of what we wanted to do in the city. The walk was easy, filled with history and architecture, and stories of resiliency from local and famous Costa Ricans! Braulio was an amazing tour guide, and I would 100% do it again!

We took this tour on our last full day of 26 in Costa Rica. We had been on many tours in different regions but none talked about the history, politics and culture of the country and Central America. It was very fun and gave a lot of context that made our trip complete. Our guide Iso has incredible energy and enthusiasm! Highly recommend this tour.

This was a very nice nature walk. In the most unusual place. On the campus of the University of Costa Rica. Our guide Isma was very knowledgeable and nice. I would never thought it could be possible to see sloths in the city. We saw them. I saw more sloths here than I did on a hike in Arenal. We saw some birds, hummingbirds, butterflies and a fuzzy caterpillar. I recommend this walk if you don't want to do a strenuous hike. Many trees and plants. Perfect for children.
