Loved our experience at this campground! The check in process is simple and the rangers were helpful in making sure we knew where the beach access and walking trails are. We camped in August and there was a burn ban so only propane stoves were allowed. We didn't know that until we arrived with our firewood...so next time, I would call the campground to see if fires are allowed. We reserved campsite 6 and 9 for our group and they were close to each other and they both had great views. Campsite 7 would be great if you want shade. Sunsets are perfect because it’s facing West. My sunset photo is from the overlook area at the campground. The campground had so many blackberry bushes so we would eat them all the time. There is a beach area, loading dock to launch kayaks, and fun walking trails along the cliffs. BUT our favorite part was that we saw orcas from the campground! Right when we arrived and were checking in, we looked out and saw orcas. So we kept watching them until we couldn't see them anymore and that was incredibly special. Reservation Process - When the campground reservations go on sale in the spring, the reservations fill up quickly. It was a bit tricky for me to reserve 2 sites for 2 nights each because I had to reserve each campsite separately which didn't guarantee that another site would be available the same nights. Ferry - the process to get your car reserved on the ferry is pretty simple so that made it great to get over to San Juan. We'd go camping here again!

This is a great, clean campsite. Incredible sunset views and if you're lucky you'll spot some whales too! Staff is helpful and friendly.

Best campsite I've ever been to. And I've been to many parks in WA. Friendliest rangers. Clean restroom (there is no shower). Nice view. Plenty of parking spot. This park has everything. I'd definitely come back every year if I can

Absolutely incredible place to camp, especially if you hike/bike/kayak in! Staff was incredibly helpful and did regular drive throughs to make sure things were all good. The hiker/biker campsites, which are not reservable, get you the closest to the water. There is drinking water by the office, two different bathroom locations, and fire pits at every site. Head down the set of stairs right off the hiker/biker sites and you’ll find yourself at the most gorgeous little cove. The water is cold and crystal clear, great place to cool off so long as you can take the initial breathlessness. It was $11 for a biker site and you can pay with card

This is a beautiful small cove. There is watercraft rental here and lots of camping spaces. There is also parking for boats, etc. when we came in on a Sunday holiday weekend it was full understandably.

Beautiful campground with breathtaking views. It's not too big/crowded, perfect for peaceful getaway. There are plenty of birds in the area, and we spotted orcas twice. There is no shower at the campground, but bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Would definitely come back.

A beautiful park to visit or camp at! Small Pox Bay is perfect for launching kayaks. We saw so much sea life. Jellyfish, harbor seals, orcas, river otter. I even heard a humpback whale song! There are flushing toilets & potable water. No showers. They sell firewood and ice.
