San Juan Hotel South Beach

The location is excellent… near the beach, shops, restaurants and in a walkable distance to Ocean Drive. We liked the beach service which included umbrella and 2 lounge chairs. Our room (king with pool view) came with a coffee machine. Water bottles were always provided in the room and whenever we asked for beach towels. Staff are friendly. The beds were extremely comfortable. The toilet is small but functional. The hotel is a bit outdated but not of a big deal. As mentioned in other reviews, sometimes you hear the others noise… for us, it wasn’t a problem. When we checked in, room was very clean but the housekeeping in the following days was hit or miss! They really need to improve.

I am having to write this again. This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I have travelled to around 20 countries and have stayed at more than 250 hotels. At check in, the front desk person denied us laundry service, continued to imply that my family and I were too poor to afford dry cleaning from a nearby dry cleaner, and told us to walk down to the nearest laundry facility if we really want to. I would call it inconsiderate and rude if not plain simple racism. I want to inform everyone reading this that the photos present online of this hotel, regardless of who uploaded them, are inaccurate. The pool is not that big, the rooms are rather really small, especially the bathrooms, there are limited breakfast options, the complimentary tea/coffee is only till 11 A.M. and not the whole day. The beach is a block away. And before the hotel management twists the words of this review and turns this back on me, I would like to clarify the following: 1. Neither did I nor did my family members ask to visit the laundry room nor demand/ask/volunteer to carry out the laundry services/laundry of our clothes ourselves. We NEVER asked for anything related nor did we imply nor indicate that we wanted to do the laundry ourselves. We clearly stated what we desired in a plain clean perfectly audible ENGLISH to the front desk that had impossibility of any misunderstanding. 2. The front desk clerk/manager was NOT looking out for us when he said that the dry cleaner was 'too expensive'. 3. While you guys do provide vouchers for breakfast does not compensate for the limited options present. 4. Yes, just to say it again, REGARDLESS OF WHO UPLOADED THE PHOTOS, they are still indeed MISLEADING for anyone who searches and come across this hotel. 5. I will clarify again; I have problems only with the front desk manager/clerk/employee or whatever you guys want to label it. The breakfast lady was polite, the housekeeping was polite although we found missing twenty (20) dollars after the cleaning of our room, the people at the front desk after that guy were polite, the luggage boy was super polite, but only that guy who checked us in was super rude. 6. NO, we did NOT misplace the twenty (20) dollars. YES, we keep a tight check on our finances as any regular family would do. I would advise every single person to go for a different hotel, even the worst ones are better than this. Take into account the time and energy I put into writing this review because my experience was simply outraging for me. I would request please do not twist my words again or reply to this review. Accept for what it is.

Beautiful location near the beach! The staff was very accommodating when we had an early flight and got to the hotel earlier than check in time. They do hold your luggage until your check in which is great! They give out a complimentary drink ticket. Piña colada was delicious! Also, they do have their own lounge chairs at the beach which makes it so easy for travelers.

Excellent service at the bar Arletty (la bartender cubana) makes the best mojitos in Miami Beach! Hands down. She was friendly, kind, and very attentive. Definitely recommended for drinks / happy hour.

A lovely small hotel in the heart of South Beach. The room was very nice and bedding quite comfortable. The staff ( especially Claudio ) we’re very nice and professional. The hotel is in a highly desirable location. We highly recommend The San Juan Hotel! ||Vicki and David Greve|Pgh

WiFi doesn’t work and it’s very noisy. Asked them to help with wifi and was told it was working. Hasn’t worked at all the full time we have been here on any of our devices. Can’t stress how noisy it is, I wouldn’t recommend it at all. *update wifi still does not work

Location is 10 out of ten, beach option saving 50 USD per day, perfect with chairs and umbrella , staff with smiling faces and very helpful, rooms are very clean and quiet, thank you for everyday house keeping, thank you for morning coffee and pool staff also. i ve used garage for parking and it's cool also 15 USD overnight. Definitely recommend .❤️

My husband and I were looking for a quiet but centrally located hotel in South Beach and San Juan was perfect! The 'little extras' were so appreciated. The entire hotel was super clean, so comfortable and stylish. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The pool service and lobby bar were awesome, great quality! The beach service was so close by and great. I don't think it could be better honestly, I would recommend this hotel and absolutely stay again.

Good location - on bus line- close to the beach- the breakfast was really hood and made on site - has a pool - staff is nice- has a writers group at cafe

3 stars is generous to say the least. My friend made the reservation but I wont be staying in the future and would likely discourage others from staying as well. We only stayed 3 days before moving to another hotel. Our key cards on a number of occasions stopped working entirely. We would come back late at night from a long day out only to be unable to use our cards to enter the room. We would run to the desk and get us new cards that still wouldnt work,.eaning back to the front desk we would have to go,at 2am! There was no offer of any real solution with issue after issue. They came an replaced the door handle batteries but it still didnt work! It was a really frustrating experience overall.

Gave a star for the staff & the good mojitos Stayed here over the weekend with my sister & I would say I probably wouldn't stay here again. We stayed here in 2017 when we came so we thought it would be cool to stay at the same place. Should've went with somewhere else Check in was very simple, but we were located on the first floor where everything is located pretty much. Everyone is constantly passing your room for the pool or breakfast. The walls are beyond paper thin so the people who non stop partied in room 110, there's a special place for y'all. We heard and felt everything from that room. Appears that there are no actual quiet hours. So at 9 am we had to get up n out because we couldn't sleep due to the noise (informed man at front desk about this & nothing was done) The location is ideal with a package store right next door, & within steps to food and convenience stores. The front desk staff were nice but they did nothing about the noise I complained over 3 times about. The sink in the bathroom was stopped up so you had to be patient when washing face or brushing teeth. Also our room Smelled like sewage it was just crazy because we weren't given an alternative My sister cut her leg on the broke cheap ikea frame & she asked for a band aid at least but nope. Asked for manager but he wasn't in. "Breakfast" is just bagels fruit coffee juice etc nothing crazy They give you a paper with information on it such as advising no daily house keeping only towels upon request. But guess what? When you walk in your room someone will surprise Tf out of you but popping out the bathroom of the room they weren't supposed to clean. So I had a nice little panic attack to add insult to injury. Then I inquired why that happened & they told me the paper was old smh. The Wi-Fi sucks & there's pretty much not any cable either

This place is a mess! I wish they offered an early check in option that you can pay to get in your room earlier. I had this at the Dream hotel in south beach and it was so convenient because flights from where I'm from land very early in Miami. They did get us in as early as possible so that was somewhat of a plus. We used the pool and it was awful, small and it was super cold because the hotel doesn't have heat to it. The hotels air conditioning went out the night we went out and that was a terrible night after drinking. It was extremely hot in our room and they didn't fix it till the next afternoon. The next day we left for the day to go to the beach and came back it was broke once again. ‍ They didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. That day we came back from the beach we were getting ready for the night the fire alarm decided to go off for no reason, we had to exit our room half ready and wait for the fire department to arrive and give an all clear to enter back in. Overall I wouldn't book this place ever again! If you like this area choose the hotel next door the Gale. I've stayed there a few months before my San Juan hotel stay and had a very good experience but at the time of booking it was booked on the site I like to use. (Priceline)

The San Juan hotel answers the question - How little does a developer need to spend to try and label a hotel as "luxury"? I honestly do not get all the five star reviews given all the architecture issues, Pros - The lobby was very nice and the staff was very friendly and accommodating - Location is very convenient and right across from SLS hotel Cons - Very misleading pictures of rooms - Rooms were dirty from years of wear and tear and little upkeep (not cleaning staff's fault, managements fault) - Walls were paper thin, you could hear full on conversations from neighbors and people outside - Loud noises from AC and surrounding facilities - There was construction happening as early as 7am on both mornings I was there Summary Don't get fooled by the photos on the website and stay somewhere else.

First, let me this is an older hotel. The hotel and the room is very clean. But, it goes downhill from here. The HVAC thermostat in the room is dysfunctional. You get either freezing cold or warm. It does not have a feature to regulate temp comfort. Oh my! Second, the soft give of the mattress bed feels like your sleeping on a water bed-it's not supportive-and the towel rack and T P holder which is not solidly affixed to the wall makes you constantly reattach it. This makes a stay more work than enjoyment. This felt like the Battle at San Juan rather than a comfortable stay at Hotel San Juan. Caveat emptor.

It's a huge no for me. This place was small, the bathroom was even smaller the room was clean but something was definitely off. The service was A1 though everyone who worked there was very polite. The free breakfast was a downer frfr. God bless

Nice small hotel! The rooms are so tiny and the restrooms are micro. Literally. Book this if you are just here for a couple of days. They have great blackout blinds. The hotel staff is super sweet. Michelle at the desk goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. We had a luxury king room.

Loved staying at this boutique hotel for my close friends birthday this past weekend. The staff here is unlike any other I've experiences at a hotel. They were attentive and helpful and super friendly! As soon as we arrived they made our stay feel like home. The rooms were clean and cute. The pool area was small yet intimate, almost like a backyard setting. The bar area/ entrance area is decorated beautifully and we were offered a complimentary drink upon arrival! They surprised my friend for his birthday with a delicious bottle of champagne and even came into his room to sing happy birthday! If I were to come back to Miami for a weekend, I would come back here in a heartbeat! Michelle (front desk) was an absolute doll! Thanks for everything :)

My girlfriend and I stayed here 2/18/21-2/22/21. The staff here is amazing. Any time we needed anything (ice, towels, etc.), they were always so happy to help. Breakfast is included, but alterations are made due to Covid. It is served outside by the pool, and is take out only. Guests are required to wear masks at all times while inside the hotel, and the hotel bar is closed following Covid restrictions. There is hand sanitizer at the front desk. There is a "beach club," which includes a lounge chair and umbrella per guest. It is located just two blocks from the hotel, and right on the beach. Towels are also included, and can be changed out for clean ones at any time during your stay. The only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars, is the bed. We had a king bed that sunk in quite a bit in the middle. It was also squeaky whenever me moved around. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay! Will definitely book again next time I'm in town!

This hotel has everything you need. Breakfast, pool, walk to the beach less than 5 min, across the street from hotel. Hotel staff at front desk and housekeeping are helpful. Now walking to the South end of the beach is 16 blocks down in the heat, that's the only bad part. Only thing I was interested on the South end was Wet Willie's. But overall Collins Ave had plenty of spots nearby. I will warn you, new mandated policy, everything shuts down on beach from 10pm-6am everyday. And beach goers 8PM beach is closed. Hotel is noisy, due to the flooring below the carpeting, probably old and wooded. Some guests who are on vacation do not understand others are trying to enjoy there vacation too. That doesn't mean party in your room loud, keep noise to a minimum and respect others. Younger crowds and large groups tend to stay here. This hotel is trendy. Felt safe. Security was there one night, and police came too cause of a disturbance. But the resort fees, parking fees, and deposit are high, but this is Miami beach, so check before going. Older style hotel. Room was nice, but limited view, only city view or pool view, depending on your choice of room. Water pressure at times is low depending of the usage by guest at certain hours. Would stay here again despite my first time experience. Good outweighs the bad.

They were very attentive the first day of our stay, but it's been been all downhill ever since! Took them two days to clean our room after multiple requests! The manager Gregory is very rude and told me he "didn't care" about my request! On top of that we are having plumbing issues with the toilet. It continues to run, and this morning it was stopped up so the plumber had to come and unclog it. Now water is all over the floor! We've been waiting an hour for them to come and clean up the water but no one has come yet!

Awesome bang for your buck at this very well seated location in South Miami Beach. This was my first vacation to Miami Beach, so we took a chance on a non-franchised hotel (i.e. Marriott, Loews, etc.) that were also in close proximity. Not disappointed at all! Somehow my fiance and I lucked out with the PERFECT room in the hotel. Top floor, front; able to see the full action on Collins street. Noise level outside was not even a problem as long as the window is shut, but we are creepers and liked to have the window open and people watch late at night. Pros: -extremely friendly staff; always smiling and asking if you need anything -our room was AWESOME -clean room including the bathroom -water and iced tea available in the lobby 24/7 -safe and fridge in room; no clock radio to plug in an iphone/ipod for tunes but no big deal -good enough sized pool with both sunshine and shade available -pool and beach towels available; umbrellas and chairs also available when you ask; it's part of your hotel fee so use them! -walking distance to the beach Cons: -we had a great view, but I cannot speak for the other rooms; it is not a tall hotel, and like most of the hotels they are more deep than wide so most windows face other structures -no place in the show for me to put my stuff; i had to keep them on the floor instead of up high for easy reach I would definitely recommend! I went late March/early April so around spring break time for college students; not too crowed.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Awful place, cockroaches, filthy rooms, refused any refund upon wanting to leave after finding old toe nail clippings in our room and the spell of feces. Homeless people set up camp outside and pee on the porch. HORRENDOUS management too. The only good reviews are either fake or by 16yr olds on their first trip away.

Always a perfect stay at this quaint hotel that is perfectly located. Right in the middle of a great stretch of restaurants and shopping. Very clean and always comfortable and affordable.. Beach chairs and umberellas included.

Great Location, friendly staff, great customer service! They offer amenities, such as breakfast, which is pretty good;fresh fruit, pastries, sandwiches, pancakes, sausage, eggs, cereal, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Complimentary beach towel, San Juan hotel carry bag, and free umbrella and beach chairs right on the beach. The beach is about a 10 min walk, if that. Be aware, that all of these things are perks that you pay for in the resort fee. I believe it was $164 for myself +1. They have a 24 hour water and lemonade bar. Great little pool area, and did I mention Great Customer service. Our room was a little chilly from time to time but compared to all the other amazing amenities and service, it's not much of a factor. Would definitely stay here again!

We didn't have this trip planned and we stumbled with this gem . Everyone has been cheerful, polite and positive. It is literally a block from the beach . The place is clean and quiet . They have real breakfast by the pool . I can't say it enough the staff is amazing. Families and couples and even singles will love this place .

Thank you so much for my great stay. I would like to personally thank Jessica and Tracey. I stayed for 2 nights, one night I had a small issue. Tracey was very helpful and accommodating during the evening and the following morning Jessica quickly resolved the issue! Had a great time here and would definitely stay again! Customer service was amazing, not easy to find this on South Beach!!!!

Beautiful Hotel, amazing location! I was welcomed by the friendliest, kindest staff! The rooms are spacious and the beds are like heaven! Cute bar in the lobby and great breakfast included in the am. You are less than a block from the beach and the hotel has space with chairs/umbrellas right next to the water. It was perfect!

Ok this is a small but interesting place 1 the service and staff treatment was above perfect they greeted us upon every entry the room was nice but small the floors are wood so you hear foot steps the breakfast is ok all pastries and cup fruit they transform the bar in the front to the breakfast area ( ok). More tables on day 2. Day 1 not enough seats the pool is hot and it is behind the building so no air movement and the water was hot. But doable all in all the location to the bus stop is great for people coming from the air port a liquor store right next door for the drinking crew and a Walgreens on the corner I didn't go but there is a Italian bakery about 300' to the south on Collins in the am the line goes down the side walk. You can tell the food must be great close to the Pizza Bar. If you like pizza go there. So I give the 5 star it over rides the not do good

Such an amazing hotel! Great service, clean room, comfortable bed, delicious drinks at the bar, beach towels and beach chairs available, beautiful pool for guests, light and yummy breakfast, close to the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. The manager Yamil was super sweet and along with the rest of the staff made us feel like family. The bartender Viktor is bomb by the way! Can't wait to come back!

This hotel is a dump. The pictures are misleading. Low water pressure and cold water in the bathroom. AC doesn't work. Gregory at the front desk is no help at all. The building is eviscerated, dilapidated, and outdated.

Ok so my husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon based on the reviews and pictures. BIG MISTAKE :o( Worst hotel stay! - Hot water constantly running out. - No ventilation in bathroom (No window or extractor fan) leaving the bathroom misty after taking a shower and leaving it smelly after using the toilet. The bathroom is so small you can piratically have your feet in the stand up shower and sit on the toilet at the same time. - Beds were extremely uncomfortable, may as well of slept on the floor. - Pillows were solid hurting your neck when you slept. - Room was dust central, dust had settled everywhere and even after us wiping it off with some baby wipes it would re settle. Under the bed was filthy with dirt and dust looked like it had been forgotten about by the cleaner. We stayed for a total of 3 nights and we had no room service at all. Even after complaining a dozen times. So we had no fresh towels and wet dirty towels all over the tiny bathroom. The staff is friendly but that doesn't make the room any bigger or better. Whoever took the pictures did a fantastic job making everything look bigger than it actually is. I could go on but I'm not going to waste any more time. DO NOT STAY.

RUN AWAY! FLEE! GET YOUR MONEY BACK!! Very very poor experience! Let's see where should I start... my fiancé booked this room for my Christmas gift ROOM 205!! the first day we checked in we noticed cracks in the ceiling and patches that were once holes all over the room! The sink had poor plumbing it would overflow just from washing our hands for 30 seconds. The toilet would get clogged just from urination. Our room hasn't been serviced the second day, the manager Jessica said it would be "VIP serviced" whatever that means.. no one ever cleaned our room that day, later that day once we arrived and noticed that our room still had not been taken care of Katie was nice enough to personally come in and clean the bathroom and bring us towels. We laid down for a nap before dinner and let me just say WTF?!! There were bugs flying out of the headboard!! Termites a ton of them and crawling bugs also!! I immediately went to the check in desk and Katie called Jessica for me, that lady was the devils wife. While talking with Jessica about the situation she continuously cut me off and interrupted me saying "I'm at my sons soccer game" , "I have a life outside of work", "that sounds like a personal matter" I demanded a refund since I refused to stay there one more night and Jessica continued to tell me how she was busy at a damn game which I didn't care about all I wanted was my refund at this point. She passed the ball on Katie and told her to type some bullshit saying she was going to give us a refund, so I literally told Katie what to type on the letter just in case we don't receive our refund. Never ever ever stay here!!! -January 29,2021 yes it's recent.

After reading reviews me and my wife decided to stay at SJH for the night while down in Miami Beach. Upon arrival Alverano ( sorry if I misspelled ) checked us in. Whether coming, or going we were greeted and welcomed by every staff member! Breakfast was pool side and delicious they had a variety of options. Toast, bagels, fruit, sandwiches, cereal, eggs, pancakes, muffins, milk, orange juice, coffee. The only reason why I'm giving it four stars is that I feel the AC wasn't working properly. Me & my wife were uncomfortable sleeping at night because my room felt warm. I had told the receptionist about this and she sent someone over quick but after he left the room did not get any cooler.

I checked into this hotel and checked out within the first hour. The room was dirty with hair and stains. The staff was extremely rude and refused to help. Considering we are in a pandemic and there is a higher standard of cleanliness that should be imposed, San Juan failed. I would avoid this place. You can find a better hotel for the same price.

We made a reservation at this hotel which was advertised as a four star resort when the hotel is more like two stars total. My room smelled moudly, the hair dryer caught on fire, our a/c didn't work, The bar is closed and it's shoddy; on top of that the bed is old and hard and the window doesn't even open, the handle falls off if you touch it. We paid over $400 to stay here and flew half way across the country to be met with a motel six. The amenities provided don't even match to a regular room as well. I simply do not want to stay here and only checked in an hour ago. This is not worth the money I've paid and the view is subpar at best and they refuse to refund my money. I'd rate it lower but I cannot. Don't waste your money or time here.

We loved our stay here. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful our entire time here. A short walk to the beach and surrounded by plenty of good restaurants and bars!

I don't usually leave a review on hotels. But this I had to do. My wife and I wanted a peaceful weekend on Miami Beach, and that's exactly what we got. This hotel was perfection! Just one block from the water! The rooms were impeccably clean and smelled great. The staff was incredible. We had the pleasure of meeting Richard, the Manager that made us feel right at home. Will definitely come back again.

Love this boutique hotel! Visited with my girls friends a couple of weeks ago. Have stayed here a couple of times and continue to love the warmth of the staff and the location. Rooms are always clean and my view was of the pool which was very nice. Staff remembered me from my last visit which is always nice. We walked to Lincoln road for shopping and then people watched. Enjoyed the FREE VINO offered at the beautiful bar prior to our dinner at Joe's. This place has always been a great spot for me. Love coming back for pleasure with my friends and we didn't have to break the bank! A++++++

I am a frequent visitor of this hotel as I have stayed here at least 10 times. I have been staying here since before the new renovations as it has always been a good value for the location it is in. The new renovations are great and the place looks very modern now. The rooms are always clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I want to thank Andres the manager for his hospitality as he and his staff have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. I will always be a returning customer!

We stay here everytime we go to south beach...cleanliness, amenities, location & staff offer great value for very reasonable rates that make staying here a no-brainer...all favorable yelp reviews here are spot on...highly recommended!

Really nice experience !!! The staff is really really really nice. Bartender, receptionist (Claudio), groom etc etc... It really makes a difference when you're going to a place where everyone is smiling at you and do everything to help you. The room were great, clean and very nice bed. The swimming pool was a little small but very clean and the patio super charming. We'll come back for sure

This hotel is in the middle of everything. Justin at the bar is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional! Had the best mojitos while also trying a Havana Lager. Place is extremely nice clean and amazing staff. Great breakfast. A block away from the beach and Lincoln road. Liqiour store right next door if you wanna party hard then head to the nightlife.

Positives: Great Location, the concierge Charles was nothing short of amazing. I stayed there Friday and Saturday night. On Saturday, I returned to my room to find the toilet overflowing, I walked into the hallway and sat the cleaning staff- manager, he immediately called maintenance. I left, and when I returned the the excess water had been at vacced up but they didn't clean the mess. I called the front desk to report this and was told there was nothing they could do because house keeping had left for the day and there were no other rooms available. The room smelled of urine and feces, I was unable to stay there. Luckily, I was traveling with friends and was able to stay the night at their place. I asked for compensation of at minimum the Saturday night and neither them or www.Booking.com felt it necessary to do so. This is most frustrating. To be clear I don't mind paying for where I stay, but this is just out unacceptable. Why is there not in call house keeping, why wouldn't you clean the mess. I will never stay at the establishment again. I will NOT be using www.booking.com. Their policies are unfair, and do not care about " Customers Service". Totally disappointed, with both businesses.

I am a regular customer of this hotel and have stayed here more than 10 times I think. I am writing this review to thank Andres' about a issue I had where I got a stomach virus and was unable to make my reservation. For my specific situation being a regular customer they believed me that I was actually ill and I appreciate their compassion. I was away last week and after eating some food that was contaminated with a virus it took a week of feeling uncomfortable for me to actually feel really sick where I now have bags under my eyes as I write this even though I got 8 hours of sleep last night. I agree with their terms and knowing me I honestly think I would have shown up sick to the hotel because that is just how I am. They are showing care for their other guests by not having someone who is ill coming to their establishment. I am glad that I haven't ever had any issue with them in any way. If you need a hotel on South Beach which is readily accessible to a parking garage (on 16th) and not a far walk from the beach, lincoln, and washington it is worth giving a try. They just opened a pool as well, but I have check it out but plan on doing so in the future.

This location is very tucked away which I really liked. My biggest complaint is that the AC was not cool at all and it was very warm in our room the entire stay. We spoke to someone about it at checkin and it was stated that it was working normal so we left it alone. The rooms were exactly as shown and the bed was actually very comfortable.

Great hotel. Smaller than I am used to but still super fun and close to the beach very intimate so the staff knows you and it's very welcoming and homey

Booking.com already and has the proof I am sending you in order to get my refund I stayed Friday the 31 at in room 319 it was filthy smelled of smoke and the sheets looked like they haven't been changed all complaints i had told the front desk about 5 mins after I checked In on the hotel room phone line and I let the night manager know I was not happy and then told the morning manager Traci after I was unhappy with my room and was leaving and confirmed even with a third employee when I checked out the policy on getting a refund and I would like you guys to know that someone on your staff lied to booking.com saying I was still in house and there is clear evidence showing otherwise and I want the money that is owed to me to refunded and issued before this escalates any further.

San Juan was bumpy at first. When a friend and I checked in, the front desk informed us that the total would be $100 more than what was on the email confirmation. The clerk asked if we had booked through a third party website, but we were pretty sure we booked directly from their website. There was a fuss and given that the confirmation already listed the stay plus fees (taxes I presumed), I didn't understand where the extra $100-something was coming from. We were left to check into the room knowing that someone was "going to email the hotel confirmation server / email address to see what was going on." Annoyingly, our stay was also wrought with unreliable cleaning services; tissues and shampoo weren't replaced, and on the last night the entire room was missed altogether. I called the front desk to ask why the room was missed. The clerk, Kemaz I believe, was courteous and kind. He sounded genuinely concerned and made sure that fresh towels were brought to the room right away. He also arranged a cleaning during a dinner excursion. Most of all, he cleared up confusion about the bill and promised the total would be what was on the email confirmation. I was absolutely unhappy about the stay up until Kemaz took care of things so quickly. Glad to have ended on a good note. I would have rated this hotel one star otherwise! Try to call in advance to confirm what the hotel stay will cost in its entirety, to avoid something like this happening to you. Besides prices / cleanings though, the beds were comfortable and the room looked nice (not exactly like the pictures, but very nice overall). The shower was warm and the location was excellent, close to tasty restaurants and bars around south beach.

Fantastic and welcoming hotel. The staff was kind and wonderful. Very close to the beach. Resort fee was absolutely worth it. Complimentary breakfast was delightful and the chairs on the beach were perfect. Little noisy at night but what can you expect in South Beach. Would most certainly stay again.

We stayed here for my sisters bachelorette party. Super close to lots of cool spots. Decent rooms, little on the small side but worked for us (6 girls split into 2 rooms). The front desk girl Michelle is amazing. Always such a pleasure when we walking asking about our plans and how our visit is; even calls us a van every time we go somewhere further. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is we had some problems with our rooms. Nothing critical but annoying things like outlets not working, toilets constantly running, etc. I'd stay here again!

The hotel looked great. Photos are accurate. - The view sucked. We got a view of a leaky lower deck and all of its mold. - We paid a resort fee that gave us beach towels, umbrellas (that weren't sturdy) and chairs (that we're 1 ft high each.) However, the staff didn't bother us abut noise with our music playing at any time of day. And we were greeted daily. The pool was great, small but never packed. But the mosquitos in the back area by the pool were out with fangs. Wear bug spray!

I stayed at the San Juan for three nights and received excellent service from everyone, and I do mean everyone. It's located in a very good spot. It's location is convenient to everything I need and want. The price is very reasonable especially where it's located. The rooms and property itself are very clean and well maintained. I can't express enough how much the staff made our stay very pleasant. I will be back.

Hotel was unsanitary, mold in bathroom, air conditioning system was broken in entire building, refrigerator did not work, manager Gregory said he would refund reservation fee, the fee was never refunded called hotel and was never able to get in touch with him, horrible business, horrible stay, save your money go somewhere else horrible customer service, smelled horrible in rooms

Another great stay at this wonderful hotel spring brake and ULTRA Weekend,awsome hotel nice breakfast, great coustomer service and very nice crispy clean room. See you guys in 8 mnts. Thank you San juan for making another great stay.!
