We had a great stay here!! Everything was clean, the staff was welcoming, and the little touches like free popcorn and snow cones by the pool really made it feel thoughtful. What stood out most was Cynthia at the pool bar. She was fast, personable, and consistently made great drinks without missing a beat. You could tell she cared about making sure everyone was enjoying themselves, and she brought a level of professionalism and warmth that’s hard to come by.

We stayed here for a night before a cruise. The room was a little late but when we got in it was clean and very nice. We had a great view of the pool and ocean. | The pool was exceptional. Great music and overall vibe. There is easy access to the beach and plenty of security to keep the riff raff out of the hotel areas. | Food is really good too and the service was great.

Our stay at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino was genuinely excellent. The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained, with a perfect beachfront location and everything you need for a relaxing trip. What really stood out, though, was the staff—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. At check-in, we were greeted by Jonathan, who was professional, welcoming, and made the process smooth and easy. He set a great tone for the rest of our stay, and every interaction with the team afterward felt just as thoughtful and well-handled. This is the kind of place where the service makes a great impression without trying too hard. Highly recommend it, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Google
My stay at the San Juan Marriott Resort was a great experience overall. The property is beautiful, well kept, and has a lot to offer. From a gorgeous beach view and a lively pool area to clean, modern rooms and fun amenities like pickleball courts, which were a nice surprise. The pool area is especially nice at night, with the bar and TVs creating a relaxing atmosphere. At one point, a movie happened to be playing on the screen, which added to the vibe, but there wasn’t any scheduled nighttime entertainment. During the day, it was mostly quiet around the pool, though they did have a DJ playing music for a few hours on Saturday, which brought great energy. I think more consistent entertainment throughout the week would really enhance the experience. One thing to note is that the food is definitely on the expensive side. Breakfast was delicious, as shown in my photos, with fresh fruit, omelets, sausage, and French toast, but be prepared for resort-level pricing whether you’re dining by the pool or at the on-site restaurants. The ocean views from the rooms are amazing and definitely added to the relaxing experience. I would recommend this resort for anyone looking to unwind in a tropical setting, especially if you’re into good food, ocean views, and a clean, upscale environment. Just keep in mind that you’ll pay a premium for the convenience.

Google
The staff are great. The rooms are quite nice, the pool area is phenomenal plus the beach is picturesque. My only drawback was the breakfast buffet. The quality of the food wasn’t that great and the price was excessive, $175 for 4 people not including the tip. Fun little casino inside as well.

Decided to travel a day early however wasn’t able to stay at the same location so I went with Marriott for the night. This by far was the best decision I could have made. The staff was extremely helpful and created a welcoming atmosphere. The location is great, you’re in the center of everything whether it’s food or entertainment. My only regret is I had to leave the hotel to my other reservations. My next visit to Puerto Rico I will have to insist our stay will be at Marriott

Google
We had a great time staying here. Fastest elevators ever! Hehe . Staff was so nice, especially at the bar downstairs. The casino is small but pleasant. The pool area was well maintained and welcoming. The beach is beautiful !!! But can be rough so be careful especially if you have kids with you. All and all is a great place to stay in San Juan and very close to important attractions like Old San Juan.

Google
Love this hotel, stood here before but I’m writing this review for my current visit and experience with Brenda Carrion—her customer service is absolutely impeccable. Truly heaven-sent! She was warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. Brenda went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family with such genuine kindness, it honestly made me emotional. What a beautiful experience—we’re so grateful.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting, and it was a wonderful experience for me and my family. As soon as you step into the lobby, you're greeted by a fresh, clean scent. The staff is welcoming, and check-in was quick and seamless. The resort is very kid-friendly, which was perfect for our 9-year-old, who made lots of new friends during our stay. We loved the location -- just minutes from the airport and within walking distance to many great restaurants. There are two pools, both spacious enough that even when they're full, it never feels crowded. The waterslide was a hit -- even I conquered my fear of heights and felt like a carefree 10-year-old again! Special shoutout to Christian and Jeanette, the amazing bartenders at the pool bar -- they were friendly, attentive, and always remembered our drinks. The beach, just steps away from the pool area, was beautiful and well-maintained. We stayed for five days, and I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
Attended for my cousin's beautiful wedding. This property is absolutely gorgeous with a large pool, jacuzzi and beach right on the property. Their staff is very professional and the location is clean and inviting. You have to have a wristband to utilize the pool and beach area directly behind the hotel. They had security monitoring the people who came back onto the property which I appreciated. They have a casino on sight, which is very small, but does the job. They also have a large bar right in the middle of their lobby - you can't miss it when you walk in (strategically placed) lol There is also a sushi bar and a small cafe/marketplace located in the lobby as well. Cons - the parking in their lot was expensive. Also, they have servers on the beach but one day I waited around 40 mins for one drink and had to go and had to go figure it out myself which is not ideal and defeats the purpose of saying you have beach service. All in all, was happy with the entire experience.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning resort!! Pool and beaches were amazing. Super clean rooms. We enjoyed this hotel & being able to walk down to the drug store for snacks and drinks.

Yelp
We did return the Stellaris. San Juan is beautiful and the beach/pool option is wonderful. However the hotel is somewhat dated and the technology behind. In room TVs are small. Service is absolutely exceptional. Food is pricey but you can venture out and find incredible reasonably priced cuisine locally. Not to mention Orozco's- a DDD notable. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTED in the casino. We placed bets on slots at 7pm then cashed out at 8:15pm and still have yet to receive cash out... we've been waiting for hours! So is that it? Casino play? Have patrons win but give up and walk away? Poor management by casino too - many machines tied up "waiting for attendant" and many many many customers annoyed having to wait for payouts. Not recommended for gambling.

Yelp
Stayed here a couple of nights before our cruise. The location is pretty good and close to plenty of food and shopping and just an uber ride away from Old San Juan proper. The beach was beautiful! Pools were wonderful too. Nice amenities overall. The only big "issue" was the air conditioning in the room. It just didn't get very cold. We called to see if they could override it but it wouldn't go below 68°. Which sounds fine but you're next to the ocean and it's just so humid. Glad we had a portable travel fan with us, as there was no ceiling fan either.

Yelp
Check in service was rude. Tour desk was as helpful as they could be but make sure you book tours WAY in advance! Pool area is dirty - trash everywhere, no matter what time of day. Food is limited and ok at best. Rooms are not worth the price you pay. Pool is small. City view rooms are a must avoid!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything. Overrated and overpriced. You're basically paying for a view. Service is definitely substandard

Yelp
Had an amazing time celebrating my Mom's birthday in Puerto Rico. The hotel was right on the beach, clean, conveniently located, and the amenities were amazing. Even the details were well thought out. Freeze pops by the pool, popcorn, rum punch as a welcome drink, and cold towels by the pool when it was 90°. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Great little Casino in Condado mostly slots. Black Jack and Roulette... live salsa music in the bar area and loads of fun!

Yelp
The appetizer wasn't what I expected but surprisingly it was good. Tasted like a crabcake mix with shrimp on a very good salad and dressing. The meals were very good. The rice and beans were delicious. The broccolini came with steak was amazing and the plantains were cooked perfectly, overall impressed with this restaurant and location right on the beach. The service was great as for Gabriel!!! The restaurant ambience is very relaxing with music.

Yelp
Absolutely Wonderful resort including all the amenities. Check in is simple and quick. Rooms were all beautiful and my room was ready before even check in time. You have a variety of food options on site from a la carte, buffet, bar, or restaurant. At night you don't even have to leave the property as the somemportion of the lobby turns into a dance club with a deejay and all. Not a dancer then head for the casino and gamble away. I preferred the beautiful pool complete with a swim up bar and the beach which provides towels, seating, and shade. If wanting to discover tours head to the concierge desk and they can help make that happen even transportation. You can even just explore on foot and wall around where your minutes from shops, boutiques, stores, and restaurants. My trip was planned for a wedding and the venue they provided was absolutely beautiful. The ceremony and cocktail hour all took place on the terrace facing the beach. Then the reception was inside a hall. They really went all out for the whole wedding party and everyone was so nice. I would definitely stay here all over again. Everything was beautiful!

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel. It even smells wonderful when you enter. There's a nice bar in center of lobby. The pool area is large and just off the beach. It was very crowded. There's security everywhere and at every door. Only the doormen were friendly. Every other employee seemed indifferent. My mom took advantage of the casino. The problem with the casino is they expected you to give them your SS# before you ever won anything at all. That's not happening. No other casino we gamed at expected this. The area around the hotel is interesting.

Yelp
Had three noise complaints after midnight and kept calling the front desk and they said that they sent security to the door but that was a lie because it never ceased. The people sounded like they were in our room. It was so loud and we had to change rooms at 2:30 in the morning. Definitely will not be back to this place. Check your bill as well! Had to have the bill corrected three times and then they tried to charge me for a bellman because we had to move our room at 2:30 in the morning due to the noisy people next-door

Tannea N.

Yelp
No CBS in the rooms!!! No sports championship games. No one understands the significance of college basketball so Women's or men's collegiate basketball game, versatility if you want world wide travelers. I was told we don't have remotes. Damn. We pay all this money. Figure it out managers.! Unbelievable

Yelp
La Cosecha is a great area to have a good cocktail. Super friendly and helpful staff. I feel so bad for not remembering my server's name, but she was super kind, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a good time. Beautiful beach front. Is a must go when visiting the island.

Yelp
Great people, great location, little casino and beach access with chairs. We also had a great balcony! So nice

Yelp
For the front desk employee that checked me in, to the front desk employee that I asked for a duplicate in the morning.... This hotel would have TWO STARS. I was shocked that the employees at the front desk were so unwelcoming and bothered that I was there. It was not only me feeling this way, others in our group received the same vibe. Never have I felt this way in a Marriott. I there with a group with my name on a list plus the room already reserved, and the young lady wouldn't let me check in without a company ID. I'm subcontracted so I do not have a company ID. I never have been asked this before. Like I said the room was already reserved under my name. The team members ahead of me were not asked the same. I asked for water. I am a "member" and I was told no that I would need to wait till their member lounge opened for water. When again a team member ahead of me walked away with two waters in hand so he gave me one. I stayed pleasant, though I was so dumbfounded on this transaction. All of the other employees from the door, casino, member lounge, housekeeping, pool and beach attendants were nice. A young male at the desk in the morning was rude when I had asked for a new key. I locked my key in the room and headed down at 5:40am to ask. No one was there except for him and he was frustrated and said "I am not even suppose to be here". I looked around and said you are the only one here. Who else would you like for me to ask? He tossed money down that he was counting and got me a new key. I kept saying thank you, but he wasn't having any pleasantries this morning. Again NEVER have I felt this way in a Marriott. The hotel is in a good location. The street has plenty of restaurants with delicious food. The hotel is located on the beach. There is a full bar and wine bar. Casino on sight that is not Smokey. They are renovating however there are plenty of tables and slot machines for any gamblers. The pool is nice, and there are chairs on the beach for hotel guests. Most everyone speaks English in the area. The room was fine and the view was relaxing. Enjoy! And hopefully the Marriott trains their front of the line after reading this. There are other options for hotels and with the two young people at the desk, they can ruin your business. The four stars is for the hotel and the rest of the team members that weren't unwelcoming. Thank you

Yelp
Great lodging. Meals weren't too good. Staff, everywhere, was great. Very secure location - if you had to remain onsite, you could gamble or swim. Small store and on-site parking available.

Yelp
People's attention to detail and customer service was astounding. specific people that made it special for us: Myrna, Francisco and Javier! I'm thankful our paths crossed. Beautiful location, easy to rent a car and get around the island. Wonderful facilities, fun for the whole family.

Yelp
A fantastic resort. Beautiful entrance and lobby, registration agents were professional and courteous. Our room wasn't ready (we arrived early) so we left our luggage and went to explore. Had lunch with the most amazing view. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but it was served quickly, and the server was attentive, and the breeze and view set the tone for vacation mode. Shortly after, our room was available. Ocean front suite, which had an amazing view of the ocean. Waves crashing could be heard inside the room. Beach side chairs and umbrella service were good. Waters are rough, life guard on duty, and they don't let you venture out far (this is Condado Beach for reference) for your safety. Several pools to choose from, 2 infinty pools were amazing, and a multi-level main pool with hot tubs. Casino on site is a nice size and many options for gaming. Saturday night, lobby was hopping with a DJ. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Third time there for a 5+ day visit and I have to say we really appreciate the consistency, quality, service, and location. For the comparative price point, it's a perfect option for those who want a real beachfront resort. This time we had a recently renovated room with no carpet (thank you!). The yet to be updated rooms are decent enough as well, you're not at a motel. The attentive and friendly service was a very appreciated 10/10, the hotel is always clean and generally well-managed. They really have so much staff there, you're always around the corner from someone that can help out or point you in the right direction. The food was pretty good taste-wise, but you'll obviously pay for it's convenience, so check out the many good options within a few minutes walking distance. I think we could have just lived off of Sobao's breakfast, lunch, and dinner options everyday. Some things to keep in mind. I could see some families getting frustrated at the idea they don't immediately get what they want such as a chair&umbrella on the beach, or just strolling right into the breakfast buffet. There are peak demand times for these things folks, either get there early or get there patient. My snobby family prefers to get there early, so we generally felt like we NEVER waited for anything. I do notice the staff doesn't like crowds either so they do their best to get you and your precious family off their feet asap.

Yelp
The hotel was nice but should of been much cheaper. The construction going on in October should of been noted on website for the customers to know. Swim up bar was closed and banging from construction is not relaxing. Not many spots to enjoy something to eat. Some of the tour guides need to read up on booking excursions. We would like real information when finding tours. The security and Concierge desks I would say were helpful. October and November are not good time to go to PR.

Yelp
Went there for my birthday. It was Runyon the last day. Pro: Great views. Indoor cafe with AMAZING coffee and pastries. Cons: EXTREMELY rude staff. Rooms have no mirrors aside from the one in the bathroom. Housekeeping take FOREVER and does a poor job. Only hot water comes out of the shower and sink. Did I mention the staff is EXTREMELY RUDE? I waited an hour for a tooth brush and when I went to the front desk to get it myself, they were annoyed that I was annoyed for waiting an hour for a toothbrush. Someone charged their drinks to our room at the bar (yes, it's that easy to put your bill on someone else's account. Just give a random room number. They do not verify.) and when we got the bill on the last day, we went to talk to the front desk. They were super unhelpful, unprofessional, RUDE, and we almost missed our flight because they were trying to verify if these were really not our charges. The front desk agent was giving me an attitude and said "I'm giving you attitude because you're giving me attitude." Very disappointing and will never stay there again. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Yelp
Can't truly judge because we didn't go in after learning it is NOT a casino. I was told it can be used for weddings and other social gatherings. No gambling.

Yelp
First time visiting PR and my gfs and I decided to stay here for a few days. We booked this hotel with a discounted rate from one of my gf's husband's benefit program. However, when we tried checking in, the concierge said the person who booked the hotel (the husband) had to be present. Of course, he wasn't there (it was a girl's trip doh!) so they wouldn't honor the discounted rate. It's strange because I have never seen hotels not honor the rate if the person who booked it is not present at check-in. Anyway, we had to accept the new daily rate which was ridiculous. Aside from the initial hiccup, the room itself was decent and clean. We were given free water bottles when we called to request for more. One of the elevators was not really working but didn't bother me too much. The casino itself was a bit lackluster. Don't expect a Vegas crowd there. The hotel gave us a casino voucher which we didn't even use. I was more interested in the pool but also pretty disappointed because the water in the big pool was really warm...like hot tub warm. I was hoping to have a pool to cool off but nope just made me even hotter and felt kind of gross. I did not witness it but apparently one of my gfs saw a rat running around the pool area during the night. oh boy! But if you're more of a beach person, it is easy access to the Condado beach. Just got to make sure if you wear those wristbands they give to you at all times.

Yelp
it's is , extremely unfortunate that it is part of the Marriott brand. This hotel has zero attention to service at the front desk . Took 3 hours to get us in our room , once in our room there was no hot water , brought to their attention immediately to no avail. After third night they decide it was time to send a maintenance man who said sorry there might be a boiler problem , and that he would check it and follow up. Never followed up , complained to front desk and got no empathy , no sincere apology!!! Too bad there was no other hotel available as we tried to leave but were unable to as hotel around were full . Never again at this property!

Yelp
If you are contemplating where to stay during your trip to San Juan, PR, this is it. Great location, excellent customer service, clean & did I mention location. You can access the beach & there is lots of beachfront space here. After visiting some of the other hotels "on the beach" I quickly appreciated the amount of space guests at this hotel had on the beach. Check-in was smooth. I was given a wristband. I'm still not completely sure why but I had a wrist band. When you walk in, it smells fresh & the lobby is very open and inviting. You can grab free coffee daily at the coffee shop in the lobby. The ocean view from room 415 was excellent. Shoutout to the housekeeping staff. They laid a hand towel down on the sink & neatly placed all my toiletries I left out on the towel. The bed was SUPER comfy. There was an issue with the shower not producing water that was hot enough & the water pressure was low. Once the front desk was contacted they immediately sent a technician to fix the issue. It was resolved by the time I returned to the room from dinner. There was also a goodie bag w/complimentary wine, chocolate & key chains inside left behind for the inconvenience. I say this location is perfect because it is walking distance to many of the eateries & shops in this area. The gym was better than any commercial gym I've been to in a while. I think the thing I enjoyed most other than the on-site food & drinks, complimentary beach chairs & umbrellas was the complimentary bicycles. Once the waiver is signed & ID turned in the hotel will provide a bike. There is no time limit either. AND the bike I had came w/a combination lock to secure the bike if I made a stop. When I come back to PR I will definitely stay at this hotel/casino. Oh crap. I forgot to mention the casino. I am not a gambler but for those who are there is a 24-hr casino onsite. It's small but seems to have all the gaming essentials (atm, slot machines, blackjack, baccarat & roulette). Don't question or debate. This is the place to stay!!!

Yelp
I visited San Juan's Marriott Resort a little over a three weeks ago and it's stunning setup makes you want to stay in and wander the hotel grounds all day. I really enjoyed the service at the lobby bar grabbing cocktails and snacks before heading into the casino or bar. I got the Grand Condado Fizz and my boyfriend got a Strawberry Mojito. Although the drinks were quite pricey I couldn't complain. The service in the hotel was very impressive and everyone was very kind. I would most definitely recommend the San Juan Marriott Resort to anyone visiting due to its prime location near the beach on Condados strip.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel incredible beach view pool excellent first night incredible view send day overcast choppy waters so we stay indoor most of the afternoon night went Old San Juan incredible bars dancing restaurants. Safe area very friendly professional in the hotel I enjoyed can't wait to come back again. Welpa!! La Isla

Yelp
The hotel is quite crowded and the hotel staff don't seem to be able to manage the number of people. The rooms were somewhat clean, but incredibly outdated with many things rusted or falling apart. Also cleaning service only came once to take trash during a five night stay. The walls are also very thin and I would be able to hear everything at the elevators which was at least 18 feet away. The vents are also very connected so I could smell my neighbors who chose to smoke in their room. Overall much lower quality than I would expect from a Marriott.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
I am Puerto Rican and lived there when I was young so, it's always a pleasure coming back to the island. One unique thing that makes this island special is that the authenticity of the hospitality is so welcoming and genuine from the people. No matter what part of the Island you are visiting. Marriott San Juan is so special and beautiful. You walk out, down a few steps and you are at the beach. The casino is fun I have won twice in the slot machines. Pete in the casino serves drinks he always came over to make sure we were good with free drinks and food. From check-in to check out the rooms are super clean. The location is walking distance from everything! And a few minutes from old San Juan.. we've been here 3 times and I have never been disappointed. The staff will make you feel at home .. Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Let me first start by stating that by the end of the week, I wasn't expecting to rate this 5 stars but after the customer service we received on the last day, it totally turned me around and made me a big fan! A few things to note, I was traveling with 2 other families so it was 14 of us in total! Okay, let's get into it! Check-In: Upon arrival, we were greeted by very friendly staff, all with smiles! The check in person that helped check us in was names Nirvana and she was great! However, we did have an issue where our request to get connecting rooms was somehow missed, even though we confirmed that morning. We were traveling with several families and one of our families ended up not getting a room until 7pm on the first day (we got there at 1pm). Unfortunately they couldn't get us our connecting rooms until the next day so we got a temporary room for the night. There was some miscommunication the next day but eventually, it all worked out and they gave us $100 room credit for the inconvenience. Rooms: The first room we stayed in felt muggy and damp and the shower tub didn't drain well. Luckily it was only one night as the next room we got for the remainder of the trip was great! Smelled and looked clean, with plenty of space for our stuff to be organized. We had a king bed and the refrigerator was enough to hold enough drinks for when we got thirsty at night. Overall, the room gets an 8 out of 10! Restaurant: The restaurant at the resort was always busy so it was tough getting a table for our large group. Before our last day at the resort, we were never able to actually get into the restaurant as the lines were too long for impatient kids to wait more than half an hour. However, we were able to dine there on our last day (more on that later), and the food and service was amazing. The restaurant specializes in authentic Puerto Rican cuisine with Executive Chef Pablo bringing his family passed down recipes to life, where each dish was better than the next! Service: I've found that in hospitality, you'll find both excellent wait staff and hosts as well as those that probably should find a new profession. This was true for this Marriott. Laying by the pool, enjoying some sun, we ordered some drinks from a waitress who never came back to deliver our order. Didn't catch their name but didn't really pay attention as we fully expected to get our drinks. However, there were also staff that went above and beyond in their customer service, working extremely hard to ensure we not only got our orders, but continually asked how they could make our stay better! These staff members were very memorable as they were attentive, friendly and kind with obvious customer service experience! Myra Segura, I'm talking about you!! Now before our last day, I'd say I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5 but great customer service always makes me re-evaluate things and that's exactly what happened on our last day there. Our last day there, we decided to make it an all beach day and actually got down there at 7:30am. Enjoying the early morning breeze and the beautiful scenery was a great way to end our vacation and somewhat mediocre experience up until then. Around 10am, my wife wanted a mimosa, so off to the bar I went. Unfortunately, the bar was not opened yet so I happily sat at the bar hanging with other patrons. Then 2 guys came in and started inventorying the bar so I assumed these were the bartenders or bar managers. One of them greeted me and asked if I was waiting for a drink because the bar doesn't open for another 20 mins. I said yes but no rush as I'm on "Beach" time. He smiled and asked, "Do you mind if I ask how your stay has been?" I thought how wonderful that one of the bartenders or bar managers would take the time to ask that. I said playfully, "Do you want the honest truth?" He smiled back and said, "But of course. :)" He introduced himself as Luis and I then proceeded to give him feedback on all of my experiences at the hotel, good, bad and ugly. He actually took notes and wrote everything down! I shared some books on leadership (Like Good to Great) and we talked about great customer service! I was really impressed. He then sent one of the waiters in to make me a few mimosas which he treated me to, and I thought that was such a nice gesture and totally unexpected! He asked what I was doing the rest of the day and I did show him where we were all hanging out at the beach. I thought that was the end of it but boy was I wrong. The bar manager ended up being the Director of Purchasing for The Ritz and he basically was pulling an undercover boss but from the customer side. Luis Gonzales Zaragoza is the name you want to remember as he went above and beyond in customer service! From complimentary beer, wine, champagne, and macaroons, to an epic private dinner with complimentary wine, he made us feel like VIPs! He treated me and my family as if we were his own family and made this trip really special! Truly epic!

Yelp
The good: * Pool/waterslide were fun for kids and adults with very little, if any, line * The proximity to the beach is outstanding * Staff was very friendly; especially those working the outdoor bars The not-good: * We upgraded ourselves to have a patio room on the ground floor overlooking the pool - except we could barely see the pool. Additionally, 1 of the pools was getting re-painted, so we were facing a construction zone * The patio wasn't kept-up; we had to put several towels over the couch/chair in order to sit on them and the patio floor wasn't swept/blown off in a very long time * We ordered food through a QR code at the pool; after not receiving the food in 26 minutes I went to the restaurant to find out what happened, only then to find out that the food order was not received by the kitchen. I had the order canceled and fed the kids some snacks so they could get back into the pool and play (I had called them out when ordering the food so they could dry off before eating) * Additionally the process to order food by the pool was weird - the 'draw' was that you can order from the QR code to the restaurant located on the ground floor of the hotel near the smaller pool/beach entrance, they would receive the order via the QR code request and then deliver the food to your seat (you have to turn on location services from your phone in order to place an order so that the server knows where to deliver food)... in reality the process (which I only learned after trying to track down my order, see bullet above) is to place the order at your seat with the QR code but then you have to go to the restaurant to pick up the order. This is not clear when placing the order (why would location services enablement be required to place an order if the order isn't being delivered?) and I wonder if the servers changed the process rather than this being the intention of Marriott when the launched the QR ordering offering * Our bathroom had a large roach in it which seemed to be living under the vanity. We never were able to kill it, but left the lights on in the bathroom and always wore shoes in the bathroom. We ended up switching hotels half-way through our trip.

Yelp
If I could give this hotel zero, I would. The hotel did not explain a single thing on how charges were made, and didn't even explain to us how to get a towel or how the card worked. They charged me 166 over parking even though I didn't even have a rental car and I just called somebody to pick me up real quick. When we got to the hotel , I was not told that I had to bring an extra 400 because of taxes. Taxes were not said in any paperwork. They were suppose to charge my card for what I ate but automatically assumed they should put it to the room. $400 is a ridiculous price to not bring up in paperwork. If I didn't have those $400 I wonder what would've happened. This hotel has poor communication, and it wasn't till I got home from my vacation that now I have to worry about paying $166. They were also cheap with toilet paper

Yelp
Great pool for kids! The slide had them entertained and the other kids were friendly so it gave us parents a break!! Beautiful views from penthouse! Great staff! My daughter got her hair braided by the pool and made a dolphin sand figure to take home. The casino is busy but didn't see a lot of winners lol. The bands on the weekend are pretty entertaining and you can dance all night!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Puerto Rico, and the entire staff at the Marriott made it extremely enjoyable. I've never seen such friendly and genuinely cordial staff, from the pool staff, to the beach staff, the bartenders and waiters, the front desk, front door, etc. They went above and beyond to make sure each guest was having the best experience possible. As for the hotel itself, it is in a great location with it's own beach area and pool which we utilized frequently. We took a quick uber to Old San Juan (a highlight of the trip), although the area near the hotel also had plenty of great restaurants and shops. The food and drinks at the hotel were a tad expensive, but that's really my only complaint. The room was clean and pretty standard, no complaints there. Overall a great stay and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Wonderful property with more amenities then the area issuance two doors down with a similar menu but a few dollars less a plate. We had a wonderful room with two balconies one facing the ocean and the other to the pool. The waves and currents are strong here so not ideal for new swimmers. Pool and bar staff were amazing. Most restaraunts were open with some type of reduced menus. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
The hotel should hire a life guard. Yes, technically it is a public beach but the hotel takes up nearly all the sand real estate on the beach facing the hotel. There's a life guard stand there already! I wrote to Marriott suggesting the same because the rip currents there are very dangerous and the locals warn against swimming in Condado Beach because of numerous past drownings. But the hotel hands out towels and sets up beach chairs for their guests and relies on an NOAA fact sheet of daily current conditions to inform guests. When I was there I saw a lot of children in the ocean. And lots of hotel staff handing out towels to them. But no lifeguard. As for the rooms, the air was stale and room had a weird smell and we kept our balcony door open when we were in the room but then the a/c shut off to save energy but it was hot. The hotel provided a humidifier which helped with air quality. They have blackout curtains for the turtles so that was right on. But then they use plastic cups at the pool instead of paper ones. Balcony was nice. Great programming--went to yoga and salsa.

Yelp
The hotel is outdated $800 a night! This Marriott hotel is no better than a Red roof inn! What a dump! Food was mediocre! And, people got stuck in the old elevator!! Never stay here again very disappointed for a Marriott!

Yelp
I wanted so badly to write a positive review given covid is sucking the life out of virtually everything fun but sadly, I can't. I'll start with some positives: the location is stellar! Located in the heart of Condado. A $7 Uber ride from the airport. Tons of great restaurants and bars in the area. Both a CVS and Walgreens are a block away. The beach is beautiful and they do offer beach chairs for you to lay on. Now some negatives: The Marriott request system via their app doesn't work. They don't tell you until you call and ask why you didn't get more towels and TP. They have bar codes all over for you to order drinks, guess what??? That doesn't work. They allow people to play music on personal devices at both the beach (guess it's not private so is what it is) but also at the pool. So if you like R&B music mixed with some dubstep and some Sinatra, you may enjoy all 3 plying at one time. Drinks are crazy expensive ($15 for a piña colada), mind you Barrachina, the place they were invented sells them for $7 (that's in old San Juan). The rooms are decent but tired. But my biggest gripe, when I checked in I said I'd be using a gift card. The guy says "no problem, we take your credit card just in case". Guess what, Pedro Alvarez, the evening manager says that he doesn't have access to the system and the system is down. Which is it, buddy? Lazy much? Very convenient. Imagine someone who depended on using the gift card for their stay. It's a racket. They outright lie. You can't order food at the pool and the drinks in the casino taste like ass (or so I imagine what ass would taste like). Marriott, I expect more from you.

Yelp
My family and I came here this past weekend. I have to say everyone was really welcoming and nice. The pool with the slide was definitely a plus for my kids (and husband). I loved how they have a smaller pool for the little ones. The beach is just steps away from the pool. The hotel food was pretty good as well. The manager Jecenia from the hotel restaurant was amazing. She helped me plan both of my girls birthday dinners. She went above and beyond to Make sure our experience here was amazing. We ate indoors one night in a private section. Then the next night we ate outdoors by the green turf with the cute twinkly lights. I really did appreciate her efforts to accommodate us. Christopher was our waiter and he instantly tried connecting to us, speaking to the kids and making funny jokes. The rooms could definitely be upgraded. The carpets were a little run down. However I believe that's ware and tear over the years.

Yelp
Great pools, great beach and the rooms were great too. Definitely worth checking if you want to find a great hotel that's close to the beach, it's right on the sand.

Yelp
Stayed here 8/25 and 8/26 before our 7 day Royal Caribbean cruise. Very nice hotel with full bar , hot tubs , beautiful pool with a water slide , small casino , dance floor with Latin bands or DJS playing at night . Good location on the beach however the ocean current was pretty strong here so just enjoyed the pool during our brief stay. There is a Starbucks located directly across the street which is very convenient . Other restaurants are located close by which we frequented that had more affordable food than the hotel. We did enjoy out complimentary cocktail . Staff were friendly and accommodating and when requested we received a complimentary room upgrade over looking the pool with some ocean view . Room was in need of some updating especially in the bathroom and our room was never cleaned on Saturday which was highly disappointing . They claimed we left the room too late and had the do not disturb sign on the door. They did comp us some of the hotel charges for the inconvenience. I would still return or recommend to others .

Yelp
This hotel was awesome. The best part of all was the service. Every employee was so incredibly friendly and kind. Even if the hotel wasn't nice the service would bring it up a few stars. I had a blast here. The resort is beautiful! The people are amazing! Reasonable prices and great views. Great casino too! I'll be back.

Yelp
I've stated here twice already. I like the fact that it's near everything. Starbucks is across the street. Cvs is next door. A short walk to everything. Their pool isn't impressive but they have a slide and they have complimentary sunscreen, water, and phone charging station. I wouldn't have packed my sunscreen if i knew. Their gym size is decent. They offer towels, cold towels, water, tea and headphones. I had a good work out there. Tons of cardio machines too. The restaurant was ok. Not impressed and expensive. Drinks are double what's out on the strip. The rooms are nice and clean. Bathroom is decent. We had a balcony room. Not bad. They also have a small casino. Hertz car rental is inside the hotel. Convient. I would stay here again. I like the short step onto the beach and thwy offer chairs to lounge on for free.

Yelp
My family and I had a nice time at the casino and would recommend it to anyone who likes a little gambling. There was a decent variety of penny slots They had 2 roulette tables I think a couple of baccarat tables A few black tables that I can remember. The ATM is located directly back by the cashier. Little tip.. it most likely cheaper to play and get your free drinks than to go out to the bar and order your drinks there... those prices are ridiculous. That's why the minus 1 star

Yelp
Went here for the day and night as an AC Marriott customer and were treated so well. This is one nice hotel with the huge multilevel pool and water slide, the beach lounges and umbrellas, he beautiful bar, and fun casino. As an AC Marriott customer, you check in at the front desk here and they give you a wristband to enjoy everything. I will have to come back and stay here.
