The rooms at this hotel are undeniably beautiful, but unfortunately the service and overall operation fall far short of expectations.
We arrived at 12:30 PM for a 4:00 PM check-in, fully understanding the room would not be ready yet. We handled this reasonably—had a cocktail, walked the beach, and returned around 3:30 PM to politely check if there was any update. The room was still not ready, which again was understandable.
However, by 4:00 PM—the scheduled check-in time—our room was still not available, and this was not an isolated situation. The lobby was completely overwhelmed with multiple guests waiting well past check-in, including a couple who had booked two rooms and had been wandering for hours, and other visibly frustrated guests. The atmosphere was tense and chaotic.
Staff had to radio housekeeping in front of guests, only to confirm that rooms were still not ready after 4 PM. Even more disappointing was the attitude: the front desk staff appeared overwhelmed, short, and largely unapologetic. There was no sense of hospitality or ownership of the issue.
Service elsewhere was equally lacking. When we went upstairs for a cocktail, the service was extremely slow. The pool area does not have enough chairs to accommodate guests, and the pool itself is largely shaded. Towels were not proactively offered—I had to ask. No water service at the pool. No welcome drink. No warm greeting. No gestures like early check-in consideration, late checkout, or anything that makes you feel like you’re truly on vacation.
If you’re expecting a four- or five-star experience, this is not it. While the rooms are lovely and the beach access is nice (I’d rate the location 5/10), the service and hotel operations are closer to a three-star property.
If you’re simply looking for a place near the beach and can manage expectations, it may be fine. But with so many other options available, I would strongly encourage travelers—especially those expecting elevated service—to keep looking
