In the historical section of Palma is a delightful boutique hotel, San Lorenzo. It is close to all the activities of this interesting district, but sufficiently removed to be peaceful and quiet. The building is a restored heritage site with modern conveniences. The interior is decorated with old world charm. They serve a beautiful breakfast buffet that would satisfy any traveller. On the roof is a wonderful pool that was very welcome during the heat of June. The staff was consistently kind, and helpful. I would highly recommend the San Lorenzo.

This was quite a disappointment. We have stayed in a number of boutique hotels around the world but we really didn't enjoy our stay here. Our room was very dark, unpleasantly so. The breakfast was very mean with smoked salmon cut into teaspoon sizes as was the cheese. We asked for a bottle of still water for the room; they wanted to charge for it. All in all a great disappointment and definitely not worth the money!

Stay here - full stop. Old converted mansion. So much charm. Lovely staff. Amazing rooms and linens and pillows. Beautiful breakfast. The rooftop swimming pool is award winning. You can work in the shade until around noon. The space is cool and the cushions etc. are comfy. It's all just right. Book a reservation at C'an Toni down the block. Top 3 restaurants in the city. Important on your time of stay is on the AC. Some rooms DO NOT have AC. The walls are also a meter thick so it barely matters... but if you are a delicate flower... ask about the situation. Enjoy-

5/5. Lovely hotel close enough to everything but in a quiet road.||Great bar Honky Tonk can be found at front of hotel, cheap local bar with great vibes.||Superb breakfast…just ask for your bacon if that’s what you want. ||Lovely pool in secluded courtyard.||We arrived very late and received clear instructions to enter back of hotel via wats app and continued to use back entrance for stay. Make sure you confirm your online check in if arriving late.

I have stayed here 5+ times. It's an old mansion converted to a beautiful boutique space. It has an old school real well, with a bucket, at check in. The staff is delightful. The rooms are silky smooth and perfectly fluffy pillows. No children!!! The swimming pool space is where you want to be in the city. I left a shirt and they spent several weeks with me figuring out how to get it back to me. I would go to Palma just to hang out here. And, C'an Toni down the street is top 3 restaurants in the city. You need reso. ||Thank you Hotel San Lorenzo-

We stayed here one night in June before catching our flight home to the UK. I'd already booked a hotel near the Intermodal Station when I saw this boutique hotel, which was £50 cheaper than the modern, corporate hotel, and looked much nicer. It's in an old mansion in the narrow streets of Palma's old town, with quirky rooms, a lovely (small) rooftop pool surrounded by bougainvillea and a pleasant breakfast. Freshly cooked eggs are available on request. We had a large room on the first floor with our own shady terrace with sun loungers. There was a sitting room with doors out to the terrace, and a large bedroom, plus bathroom with bath and shower. It felt like staying in a hidden oasis, very quiet even though there are bars and restaurants just a few steps away. The bus to the airport stops nearby (about a 7 minute walk) and there are plenty of attractions close by too. I would definitely book to stay here again.

I'm surprise by other reviews or maybe we were just unlucky. To start on a positive note the breakfast is very good and the lady cooking and serving it could not have been more helpful. The hotel is well located in the old district of the city. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious but dark and hot with an inefficient air conditioning, even though the outside temperature was less than 20c. There was no toiletries except for hand wash. It was equipped with a coffee pod machine with just 2 pods provided , no milk, no sugar. No facility to make tea, had to ask for a kettle. TV absolutely useless, only a couple of channels in Spanish. The hotel is old with no lift, the stairs are tricky if you are old or not too mobile. The reception is only manned at random times and not very often. It is advertised as a 4 star hotel I think this is generous and 3 would be more appropriate

Good hotel with very helpful and kind staff. Very good breakfast, clean rooms, well stocked mini-bar (local spirits), right in the city centre (the cathedral is five minutes by walk). Pool area is nice and quiet. There is a music bar on the street in front of the hotel and if you have room on that side, it's very noisy during the night. You can hear every word from people smoking and chilling outside the bar...But luckily it was open only in Saturday and Sunday night was calm. :-)
