SANABEL Sweets and Bakeries

Very delicious baked goods and sweets. I think they are supposed to be sold by weight, but for us they just eyed what we chose and made up a number… so be careful. Still, glad that we bought the delicious treats.

Dropped by the shop after lunch to buy some breads for Petra tour tomorrow. The bakery shop had various traditional dessert and breads and all are very tasty. A staff from Egypt was very friendly and kind enough to recommend the breads we like. The prices were quite reasonable and all I bought there were very nice. Highly recommend.

Really tasty small sweet treats that are very reasonably priced, not to mention the amazingly friendly staff! Even gave a free trial! Definitely recommend.

This bakery is amazing, the desserts are so delicious that I kept coming back during my stay in Petra. Fares was so helpful and the service was incredible. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

We went here as a tourist and we fell in love with the jordan's sweets. We got a plate full of sweet every day we stayed in Petra. The are welcoming and kind, even without speaking english you can feel they want you to enjoy their products. Also very cheap.

Great large sweet shop 600m up the big hill from Petra visitor center in busy commercial corner. Friendly service (no english), excellent selection of packaged sweets (2JD per tray, excellent price) or custom fill your own tray (~350g). Cookies, sweet breads, and fresh pita bread as well. Parking is trouble, street parking free if you can find it.

Lovely bakery. We visited twice to get a tray of the local sweet treats. A small tray costing 2JOD. The baklava are absolutely amazing. So much honey and perfectly baked. Salivating thinking about them now. Great to take as a snack if you're spending the day at Petra.

Really nice staff, super friendly. Let us try before we decided what we wanted. Lovely sweets, really good fuel for walking round Petra all day. Very cheap prices! Gave us some free bread too! Would definitely recommend this place.
