Sanadome (Nijmegen, Gelderland) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"This modern building could pass as a nice holiday resort providing quality accommodation and a good range of spa treatments and beauty care. A contemporary dining area and cuisine with various influences. Globe-trotter buffet on Fridays and Saturdays." - Tablet Hotels

Nice thermal/swimming/sauna facility with good offer of massages and extra services. Price is pretty steep, compared to competition, considering additional parking costs, steep pricing of food (panini is 11 euros! for example) the facility feels also bit outdated with some cracks in the outside fountain, missing tiles here and there, partly closed terras with loose boards, fake plants mostly and pathetic non-friendly smoking area. The good things are the pools are clean, the (little) sauna and steam bath are free and the outside pool is pretty large. Considering we went on a weekday, i think visiting in high season or weekend would be to crowded.

Everything is pretty good in this hotel except the room housekeeping which is consistently poor. As an example used glasses not removed and replaced , water not replenished , beds not made properly , used towels not removed and replaced , empty bin left on top of the table , room not tidied , curtains not closed. I have stayed here on many occasions and this unfortunately is almost always the case with the room housekeeping. I have raised this before with the hotel but unfortunately nothing changes. The one other gripe I have is that no matter how many times I stay here I am always greeted as a stranger when I return. The lift is over here sir , breakfast is from 7am to 10:30. How about welcome back Mr O'Driscoll , great to see you again ! I would strongly recommended that all housekeeping staff are sent to learn how the major hotel chains carry out their housekeeping. That might improve the situation. Considering the Mercure for my next visit to Nijmegen.

I am really sorry I have to write this but in the sum of things I had an extremely unpleasant stay at the hotel. Hygiene My room was full with long black hair, which was super disgusting. Room quality/service There is NO room service, which is unbelieveable for a 4 star hotel. Also my cooling system was broken in my room, so it was super warm. Food The food is super expensive, even for hotel standart. I had the Pasta Carbonara and alteady had a weird feeling whilst eating it. The sauce was watery, the noodles tasteless and there was even a price tag attached to one of my tomatoes, which was a clear sign of the food not being washed well. This all led to me spending most of my day with diahhrea on the toilet - NOT what i came for. Didn’t even make it to the spa. The breakfast buffet was also way below industry standart - sorry! Customer Service I travel a lot, so i spend my weekends in different hotels all over europe every weekend. NO hotel before had such an unflexible service when it came to payment options. They refused to handle a flexible payment option with invoices and (in the end) put both rooms on one bill, although i just paid for the food. They also refused to print out another bill for the food only, although this was what I paid for. Now I cannot refund, because I have a faulty bill. All in all: really one of the most unpleasant stays I had in a hotel ever.

I stay regularly in Sanadome for work purposes and it does the job its a good value for money option in Njimegen. ||The rooms are usually spacious and confortable and equipped with coffee / teas. If you fancy they have a soa and a proper gym. The restaurant is decent its good food - nothing to blow you away but it does the job

Nice time with the family. First time also with the kids. They enjoyed.|Rooms are big enough with comfortable beds.|Food (lunch/dinner) is good enough. Nice buffet breakfast.|After breakfast time enough for a last dip in the pools before returning home.||I recommend it.

As someone who works in hospitality and on my feet all day, this was one of the stops I felt like I had to go to. Very friendly staff, incredible service from Astrid at reception, and Stella who was one the technicians. From the first meeting, as soon as I mentioned I had a reservation in English, Astrid was able to converse well and give me the details of the packages and how things worked. With Stella while booking a few extra treatments, we were able to have a laugh, especially while facing a little technical issues when trying to book me in. Everything in terms of food, drinks and packages could be collected on a wristband which acts like a tab rather than needing to sign receipts, which made things so much easier. It also acted as a locker key so very easy to keep everything on there. There are various packages you can book online, but can also book on the day. I was lucky to book all the treatments (some discounted as a duo package), but if it was busier, would be an idea to book in advance . As well as that, there are some packages on particular days, so if you have a decide to come here as a spot, make sure to see what you like. Additionally, if available, you could book a night stay which is good value. I unfortunately cannot review the rooms and a stay as I only came as part of a day entry, but did see the room price at the time. The experience was quite private as you are not permitted to take photos and use your phones on waterside, and in the restaurant areas, this is still not permitted, but you may use them for messaging, connecting to the internet and do check ins if required. Things like e-readers that do not have the capability to take photos appear to be permitted based on what I saw and based on the assumed Dutch I could infer. Finally, you may rent towels for an extra cost if required if you forget yours. You may rent the entire package, but is not necessary, provided you either bring your own or rent one. Flip Flops are required and have to be bought, but considering it's more than likely a health and safety thing as well as a souvenir, the price is decent.

I stayed here for just one night and visited the spa on two days. The welcoming staff was very friendly and kind. I did miss a water boiler in the room for some tea, especially with the cold weather. Also, the door to the bathroom was super heavy and hard to open and close. Which also didn't have a lock but that wasn't a problem for my partner or me. The spa was nice and had a great variety of different pools. I was a bit bummed there was still a lot of chlorine pools even though they promote more natural ones online. Breakfast was quite alright and I was happy they had some soy yoghurt and milk for my lactose intolerance.

We were at the thermal baths and it was a very nice experience! They have all different kinds of pools, the steam rooms were also nice but I really loved the outside pool. It’s tempered around 30-33°C, and because we were in winter, was very cold outside but the pool made it warm. They also give you nice quality supplies to take a shower and they even have private showers if you wanna go fully clean and ready to go out 😊

Yelp
Ok... Staying in this hotel includes also access to the local spa. This spa is mainly known for the pools, and less for its. Saunas. By public transport, approx 20min walk from station nijmegen goffert. What i liked: - friendly staff - spacious rooms with nice view - clean There are various restaurants in the hotel: flow (buffet and breakfast), ninety (a la carte). Food is a bit overpriced and you probably can get better choice in town. I was missing a tea kettle, but guess this is not so common in netherlands. Also, as solotraveller you pay same as two persons for overnight stay.

Yelp
A wonderful hotel, spa and restaurant. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and every meal felt homemade! The staff was kind and helpful for our entire week stay. We really enjoyed the bikes that you can rent for free and take to the city center! Overall just a quaint and beautiful hotel that as a foreigner made me feel right at home. Thank you Sanadome!
