We just returned from the most incredible stay at this resort, and I honestly don’t understand all the recent negative reviews — they almost made me cancel, and I’m SO glad I didn’t! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. A huge part of what made our trip unforgettable was our butler, Camacho. He went above and beyond every single day — anticipating our needs before we even asked, and making sure we felt truly cared for. His warm personality and attention to detail made our vacation feel personal and luxurious. He made dinner reservations for us at the Italian and Asian restaurants before we even arrived. The pizza in Sanctuary town was awesome, don’t miss it. The breakfast and lunch buffets had tons to choose from. The property itself was beautiful, spotless, and relaxing. We had an Ocean Review Swim up junior suite in the castle. We spent one day at our castle swim up pool and didn’t see anyone the whole day, we had the pool to ourselves. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and eager to help. Food, drinks, amenities — all top notch. The one con for me was that the steakhouse was not impressive, I would skip it if we went again. Don’t let the recent complaints scare you off — if my experience is anything to go by, you’ll be just as impressed as I was.

We had an incredible time at Sanctuary Cap Cana and honestly have very few complaints. The food was absolutely delicious—truly a step above what we’ve experienced at other all-inclusive resorts. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I do wish the minibar offered a wider selection of drinks, but that’s a small detail. While some pools were sparkling clean, a few could have been better maintained as we noticed some algae. Also, during our stay, the beach had quite a bit of sargassum, which is a natural occurrence and not something the resort can fully control. Overall, the vibe of the resort was perfect for relaxation and enjoyment. We loved every moment of our stay and are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

I had an unforgettable stay at Sanctuary Cap Cana! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional—every staff member was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The hotel itself is spotless—everything was sparkling clean and beautifully maintained. The atmosphere is both luxurious and relaxing, making it the perfect getaway. The food was truly amazing! There are different restaurants on the property, and every single one served delicious meals with outstanding variety and quality. No matter where we dined, the experience was top-notch. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for excellent service, fantastic food, and a breathtaking setting. Can’t wait to come back!

I had high hopes for Sanctuary Cap Cana, but unfortunately, the reality fell far short of the luxury promise. From the moment we entered our room, it was clear something was off. The air was muggy, and there was an unpleasant mold-like odor that lingered throughout our stay. Cleanliness was below expectations—our beds looked hastily made and didn’t feel fresh at all. Despite booking the all-inclusive package, surprise charges cropped up. I was billed $5 USD for a pizza box and another $5 for a Perrier water, also add $10 everytime you order room service, hardly what I’d call "all-inclusive". What’s worse, the service lacked the warmth typical of Caribbean hospitality. Staff rarely greeted guests, and basic courtesies like “good morning” seemed optional. The biggest letdown? The beach was completely covered in seaweed, rendering it unusable. No prior notice, no heads-up from the hotel—just a disappointing sight and restricted access to one of the main draws of the property. Sanctuary Cap Cana may boast impressive photos and luxury branding, but my stay felt more like a missed opportunity than a tropical retreat.

For my wife and I, our experience was excellent minus a couple of issues. Positives: The atmosphere and architecture. Our suite was large and very clean. We did have a couple of issues with our toilet and shower, but they were quickly fixed. Food was very good. I don't understand some of the bad reviews because I'm a very picky eater and it's the food that makes any resort. Between their smash burgers, pizza, Steakhouse and breakfast, it was all good in my opinion. You don't get this type of quality food at most all-inclusive resorts. Staff was excellent and polite and mostly all of them speak when you walk by. Sanctuary Town is a nice, small, quaint place to eat and shop. Negatives: Beach. The seaweed just took over and the staff tried their best to keep it under control but it's a massive effort that is almost impossible to eliminate. My wife and I will come back during the fall/winter season since that is supposed to be the best time because the seaweed is almost non-existent. Overall..we loved our stay here and will definitely be back.

From the moment I arrived at Sanctuary Cap Cana, it felt like stepping into a dream. This resort truly lives up to its name a sanctuary in every sense of the word. The stunning ocean views, luxurious architecture, and lush landscaping immediately set the tone for a tranquil and unforgettable escape. Every detail is crafted with care from the warm welcome at check-in to the impeccable butler service that seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. The suites are spacious, elegant, and perfectly designed for relaxation, complete with breathtaking balconies and beds so comfortable they rival the best in the world. Dining here is a culinary journey. Whether you’re enjoying fresh seafood by the water or indulging in gourmet cuisine under the stars, every bite is memorable. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay exceptional. Whether lounging by the infinity pool, sipping cocktails at the Castle Bar, everything at Sanctuary Cap Cana whispers luxury, peace, and perfection. I left feeling refreshed, pampered, and already planning our return. A true five-star gem in the Caribbean highly recommended without hesitation.

We stayed at Sanctuary Cap Cana for 4 nights. Loved that it was adults only. Food was quite good everywhere. Lots of variety at the buffet. Steakhouse was the best in our opinion as they always cooked to the requested temperature while the other restaurants would overcook fish and meat. Not a major issue but it is an expensive resort so, our expectations were matching the price. The resort is beautiful and we never had any problem finding chairs by the pool and in the shades. Rooms are very spacious. Very quiet. We had a wonderful time.

I never write reviews, but this stay was so horrible that I feel I have to warn others. I had never stayed in an all-inclusive before, but I was visiting a friend in Cap Cana and decided to stay here, since most hotels in the area are all-inclusive. Never again. This was honestly a terrible experience for what is supposed to be a “Luxury Collection” 4-star hotel. The price? $655 USD per night! For that price, you’d expect excellent service, cleanliness, and comfort — but we got the complete opposite. I have stayed in many 5-star hotels and even worked at one for six months, and I was genuinely shocked by how poor the standards were. Staff: The bellmen were rude — every time we came in or out, there was no greeting, no smile, nothing. At breakfast, most servers were rude too (except for two kind ones). Even simple requests, like asking us not to sit outside barefoot, were handled rudely instead of politely. Food: The breakfast was okay, but nothing special. We didn’t even bother trying lunch or dinner — we spent our days outside with friends instead. Room: Horrible. The toilet seat had stains, the water pressure was so bad I couldn’t even wash my hair properly, and housekeeping only made the bed once every two days — completely unacceptable. Towels were never changed, and the overall room quality felt cheap and dirty for what’s advertised as luxury. Pool: Disgusting — there were algae floating in the water. I got out immediately. Valet & Security: We had a small rental car to get around, and every single time we left or came back, staff were rude, asking unnecessary questions like we were criminals. Only one at the entrance that was great, I will not say names as I don't want any problems between the staff. Gym: I don’t even want to talk about it. It was humid and filthy, the equipment was sticky and slippery. I left a towel in the gym bathroom on purpose to see if they’d clean it — four days later, it was still there. The hotel is old and dirty, the elevators are shabby, and overall it’s nowhere near what it claims to be. For the same price or even less, you can stay at truly luxurious 5-star hotels in Cap Cana that offer real service, beautiful facilities, and a much better experience. We hated our stay and will never come back. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for true luxury or good service — this was a cheap, low-quality stay at a ridiculous price.
