Sanctum Inle Resort

For our three day stop at Inle Lake we stayed at the Sanctum Inle Resort. Everything about our stay was wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was spacious with plenty of space to store clothes and all of our gadgets. Every morning breakfast was very satisfying with plenty of options. The restaurant offered a complete menu with a wide variety of Asian and Western foods. The restaurant setting is beautiful overlooking the pool and the lake in the distance. Yet the real jewel for the Sanctum is the staff. Always very friendly and ready to take care of any need. The general manager, Baptiste, was constantly checking on us, answering questions, giving advice, and making certain that our stay was a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend the Sanctum for anyone looking for an ideal place to stay in the Inle Lake area. |

During my entire experience at Sanctum, I felt like I was at a very special place. There was a feeling of calmness from the second I entered the property and a sense of sincere care from every staff member I met. My room was modern and very comfortable, sparkling clean- I felt like I could happily live there. :) Meals and drinks were great, the pool is really nice, my massage was fantastic. I appreciated Hugo's extra efforts in giving me advice on things to do that considered me and my interests. I also really appreciate the resort's sincere efforts at being sustainable- the refilled water in the rooms and not having throwaway small plastic containers for shampoo. While every memory I have from my stay is a feeling of genuine and effortless care, I know this level of quality is not easy to achieve. Baptiste and Hugo and all the staff do an outstanding job. Not only would I recommend Sanctum Inle Resort to others, I would insist they stay there! I hope I am able to return, I'm very grateful I stayed there! I'd also recommend a minimum of 3 nights- when planning my trip I'd debated about saying only 2 and am so glad I stayed longer.

If you're looking for a place to relax in comfort, this could be the place for you. It has a lovely setting, with gardens leading down to the jetty where boats will take you onto the lake, past a village with floating gardens.||Our room was spacious with a really comfortable bed and, since it's in a quiet neighbourhood, you should get a good night's sleep. Food is excellent, especially breakfast, and the staff were really friendly and helpful.||You could argue that the hotel itself lacks atmosphere, being very western-style, but the atmosphere comes form the lovely surroundings.

Very comfortable, beautiful big rooms. Staff speak more English than is usual. Aims for the high end tourist wanting to get away from it all and just relax, not a "party party party" hotel. Good WiFi, reliable power and hot water whilst we were there, very good food and lovely pool area. Loan bicycles available. On the quiet, eastern end of Lake Inle, (fabulous sunset views) so you need to arrange boats to visit the tourist areas.

We had a wonderful stay in inle sanctum resort. Hugo and his team were all welcoming and attentive to us. They really took care of us. We enjoyed very nice meals, from the breakfast to the the diner. The service is perfect, the staff is highky qualified The view on the lake was just amazing, the sunset on the pool was magic. We appreciated the proximity of the lake and the boat facilities. There are so many options and facilities to make your stay unforgettable. A very special moment for us! A unique experience Thank you again

Nice decoration but service is poor. No regular change of pyjamas unless complaint. Bathroom kits such as shower caps, tooth brush, etc & coffee mix, tea bags are not refilled even 3 hours after complaint to reception and room service, a total of 2 times! These are not expensive. But I just want to point out poor room service compared to grand image of Sanctum hotel. I never expected that kind of poor service.

Magnificent people and place. Low season so we had a lot of the place to ourselves. The views are divine. Right next at active farming. We named the water buffalo that we saw every day out in the field Bob and Robert. If you can get it, get a water view in the main building. Nothing is perfect and we did have two issues 1) limited menu at restaurant but easily fixed by walking 5 minutes next door to Novotel for dinner. Also on the last day Sanctum was happy to made me plain veggie fried rice even though not one menu. I loved it. I wish I’d thought of that earlier. This is THE place to go for a relaxing holiday with views and royal treatment. Do opt for spa treatment. The herbal sports massage was fantastic. I hadn’t had a similar treatment with hot towels but I’ll be looking for it in the future.

The hotel is stunning. The hotel is right on the lake, which makes it magical. I recommend arriving at the hotel via boat. The sunset from the terrace was lovely. ||||The hotel is a five-star+ property. I was concerned since the price is very reasonable. Don't let that be a deterrent. The hotel is fantastic. The hotel has every thoughtful touch. ||||The room was large and had every amenity. The spa was terrific and priced reasonably. ||||The food was delicious and again, reasonable, although more expensive than the local restaurants as you would expect. ||||Thank you for a fantastic stay.
