We were there at the end of Hurricane Lee day, and watched a most amazing sunset from the porch. The food and the service was just as amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had the clam platter and the fish and chips with a bottle of wine. Probably one of the best F&C I’ve had on the Cape to date. Clams were perfect! Lots of French fries and fresh coleslaw. Perfect evening with a perfect sunset and dinner.

Great place to enjoy fantastic food and a beautiful location. They have the great quality casual Beach food- this is a typical food shack. The prices are typical of today's inflated food market. You will get fresh well made food here. They seem to be out of a few things so keep in mind that may happen. There is VERY limited parking. It's a small place and they can only serve so many therefore parking is equally challenging. The setting is gorgeous. I included photos of that because who wouldn't want to enjoy eating here? 😁👍 Enjoy The Sand Bar! If you have found my review helpful please give me a thumbs up 👍 and feel free to follow me for future reviews.

We love the Sandbar. The food is great and the scenery is beautiful right on the water. During the day this a great place for families. They make great Mudslides. If you’re looking for a place to dance- come on a Saturday night and see Nautilus play! They have live music through out the week and some of the friendliest staff in town.

This spot offers such a relaxing outdoor dining experience, and it truly has the potential to be magnificent. However, it feels like very little effort has been made to transform it into the gem it could be. I'm not entirely sure about the history of the place, but perhaps there are plans to improve the building and outdoor seating area, allowing guests to fully appreciate the beautiful marsh view. To me, it evokes the charm of old Cape Cod, reminiscent of the restaurants I knew as a child. This isn't because it's striving for a vintage vibe, but rather because the place simply appears worn and a bit stuck in the past.

Really nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the live music. We share a seafood platter and a shrimps scampi pizza, and they were both very decent. The must slide was very good. The host was very nice and friendly. The waitress was a little bit confused and kept dropping the check without asking if we are all set and ready to pay first. Other than that, everything else was good.

Food, drinks, atmosphere are all awesome. Some advice to ownership: fix your valet system and offer paper tickets when you leave your car. Anyone can steal anyone’s car. It’s all on the honors system and not a secure place to eat if you have a super nice car as anyone can just come and say your car is there’s and take it. It’s an easy fix that would go a long way.

We came to The Sandbar in Cape Cod excited to relax and enjoy some drinks, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat. We ordered Painkillers—classic tropical cocktails that are supposed to have a noticeable rum presence. What we received were overly creamy, bland drinks that clearly had no trace of alcohol. We went back to the bar and politely let them know the drinks didn’t taste right and asked if they could be remade or fixed. Instead of remaking them, they handed us each a rum floater to pour in ourselves. Not ideal, but we appreciated the attempt to make it right—until the check came and we saw they charged us $2 extra per drink for the floaters they gave us to correct their mistake. To make matters worse, the entire staff seemed to be high school or college-aged—which is totally fine—but they were clearly not trained on how to behave professionally in a family-friendly setting. While we were sitting nearby, we overheard them loudly chatting about their wild weekend hookups and other personal stories that were definitely not appropriate for a public workspace, especially with kids and families around. Overall, between the poorly made drinks, being charged to fix a mistake, and the unprofessional atmosphere, we left disappointed. Definitely won’t be returning.

Quintessential Nantucket Sound local spot with college servers and live music on certain days. Roll in with your swim trunks or summer best! Carolyn, the valet’s & staff are nothing short of amazing! Be sure to stop at the bank for cash to tip these great hard working kids!!
