Can be a very simple in and out to arch. Or it can be an exciting exploration if you continue past the arch down the slot. Climbing up the rocks up the slot was amazing (a little challenging). We were able to climb nearly to the top of the slot canyon by boulder climbing. The descent is a lot more challenging than the accent on the boulders.

This is simply an amazing location inside the park and is only a short hike from the parking lot. Here you will be walking through a sandy wonderland, surrounded by towering fins of rust-hued rock, and stumbling upon a natural marvel that'll leave you awestruck. Further in, you will find a small arch off to the right side and a perfect location for a photo. Like all the other trails in the park, dogs are not allowed.

We really loved it! It was so much fun walking between those tall rocks on the cool sand. The red sandstone formations were stunning the shapes were just amazing. Such a beautiful place all around.

Sand Dune Arch is a short, easy walk that leads you to a truly magical spot tucked between towering sandstone fins. The cool, shaded area feels like a secret hideaway in the desert—perfect for a mid-day break from the heat. The soft, fine sand underfoot gives it a beach-like feel, which kids (and adults) will love. The arch itself isn’t massive, but its secluded location and unique surroundings make it really special. It’s a great stop if you’re short on time or looking for something quick and memorable. The trail is flat and accessible, making it ideal for families with young kids. Go early or later in the day to avoid crowds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The narrow canyon walls offer fantastic photo ops with beautiful light and shadow play. Kids will enjoy climbing around the sandy area and exploring the rock formations. Definitely worth adding to your list—it’s a small detour with a big payoff.

This hike was easy and was cooler than everything else by a noticeable amount. The kids did get very sandy. We had a great time.

This was our first real stop at Arches. We wanted to do an easy one because it was late when we got there and also wanted to get it out of the way since it's quite far into the park. It ended up being pretty amazing for sunset pictures. Short easy hike. While the arch isn't amazing compared to others in the park it was so cool to see and the lighting at sunset was spectacular.

I liked the start of this walk, there some cool “fins” you get to walk through that was enjoyable! Sand dune arch! Small but pretty cool! Lots of smooth sand on the ground. Pretty neat area!

Yelp
Sand Dune Arch, easy trail with lot of sand. This is a kid friendly trail. Like walking on beach with red sand. It's cooling with lot of giant stone as shade. So far the most comfy trail in the NP. you get 2 kissing birds arch.

Yelp
On October 15th, the only timed entry available to Arches National Park, was 3pm. From the main entrance and visitor's center, we drove through and saw at least 5 different arches before reaching this one. Essentially, Sand Dune Arch was our last stop in the National Park before the sun went down. I can't imagine hiking through this section in the dark, so plan your visit according to the sunlight available. The parking lot is small and we were lucky to find a spot. From the parking lot, it's an easy, short walk in the sand. Please note, there's a narrow passage way to get to the Arch so you'll want appropriate shoes. The ankle high hiking boots worked great for me. My friends said that sand got into their regular tennis shoes. Once you reach the Sand Dune Arch, please be respectful of the time and others around you. Naturally, we all want selfies without photo bombs. As a courtesy to others, snap your pictures and keep it moving:)

Yelp
Short hike that starts off in an open green area and then you go through this narrow passage that changes the scene to sand and then boom you're there and seeing the arch. The arch isn't anything crazy specular to look at and if you keep walking past you can try to go through other narrow passages but it goes to a dead end. Fun to feel a little immersed in nature and very easy to do. Don't be afraid to get sandy! (White clothing not recommended).

Yelp
4/19/19....... Rude, ignorant family that decided to have a full on picnic in the middle of the arch that hindered other people from taking pictures. There were many other polite, respectful families that found a place in the shade off to the side that did not hinder people from taking pictures. The arch itself was beautiful just like everything else in the park... It's just sad that people like this exist in society.
