Visiting from out of town, Trento's was across from the hotel. Stopped in and got a daily special (grilled turkey/cranberry/...) samich. It was great. The staff were very nice too. Highly recommend.

Google
Understand it is the only people who have bad experiences that will review, why this place is not 5/5 is beyond me. Excellent food and the prices are just fantastic! I will go here for both lunch and breakfast since I work down the street. Love their French Toast

Google
I've tried this place 8 times and 6 out of 8 they always mess up on the sandwich. Today I not only spent and extra $5 on condiments for my wedge, and did not have them on it. But, my girlfriends sandwich had a wrapper in it and it was the wrong sandwich..... It's sad that after calling them back to let them know that they did not offer anything but, ohh we're sorry.... Money doesn't grow on trees and in today economy they should be lucky they have a job and are in business. The owner of this place really needs to pay attention to his workers making sandwiches

Jennifer Brown

Google
It never fails, everytime my job orders lunch from them. My order is NEVER received as described in the menu. More than one ingredient is always left out. Because of that, I don't go there personally. Job orders... whatever. Just wont give them my money.

Google
I had a Sausage Egg & Cheese which was delicious. The chicken salad sandwich was not good. Very watery/liquidy. Would recommend the breakfast sandwiches but not the chicken salad.

Google
Just went for the first time, great food, great ingredients. I never leave reviews but this was such a good sandwich I felt obligated too

Google
Ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. They decided to put it on a cinnamon raisin bagel without even asking my opinion. Their only excuse “we ran out of bagels and we cannot not send the order.” I would believe it’s only common sense to put it on a plain roll then providing food that would clearly be inedible.

So good! I've gotten sandwiches and wraps there. So good! Def grab a cookie always as well!

Yelp
This place use to be a great go to for the wife and I during the work week. It has been a little bit since we have ordered from this place but it is clear to say they have absolutely gone down hill. The service has become more than lackluster. We ordered our food and what we got was... well not what we asked for. Last time I read an Italian combo had a combination of different meats. I believe theirs has three or four. I can't eat pepperoni so I asked to exclude that. When I opened my sandwich what I received amounted to salami sandwich. Not so good tasting. I was about a inch thick stack of cut salami, no combo here. Was sorely disappointed. My wifes faborite go to is their Crunch, when we ordered the dude had no clue what she was talking about at first. And when she got it. She was not happy. My wife is not a picky person so for her to make a comment says a lot. The service was SUPER slow, and the poor woman running the register was having so much trouble with it and our order. Yet instead of stepping in to help her the people behind the counter were just chatting and messing around. I'm not sure if it's new employees or new management but, Yikes, we will be finding a new sandwich shop around.

Saiteja G.

Yelp
This spot serves very affordable menu with amazing food options. I got the breakfast burrito with chicken at 1 PM (breakfast served all day) for $7. I didn't notice anyone else serve such reasonable priced food in the area. The burrito was spot on and will freshly made in front of you. I will definitely visit this place again. They have a sit out area for you to grab and eat right there.

Yelp
wonderful little sandwich shop. I discovered this place by accident after picking up a few things at the next door hardware store and I am glad I did. I've eaten here a number of times, even had them cater an event for me, and have never been disappointed. Prices are fair, food is made fresh and the staff is always friendly. If you are craving a tasty sandwich I definitely would give this place a shot.

Yelp
I tried it here a few times since I live in the area. I have typically ordered my standard egg cheese and tomato. Except for being a little inconsistent from time to time, I have no major complaints. The only thing I would say is that there's an abundance of breakfast joints in this area (and more on the way), and the competition is stiff. Sand Wedge is in a small complex with many other busy businesses (Starbuck, Pizza Plant, and more); depending on the time of day, parking and exiting to Route 7 can be a little tricky.

James R.

Yelp
A Wedge is Fairfield County's way of differentiating themselves from the plebes east of Route 8....we in Southern New England call it a grinder. This part of Connecticut also differentiates itself as being essentially a very-non New England area full of stress and hypercompetitive materialism (see other reviews for elaboration). Sand Wedge was across the street from my hotel...a rather dismal looking interior: sparse and basically a place to grab chips and pick up your grinder. My turkey "wedge" came with a stale roll and the jellied Ocean Spray cranberry sauce..along with the Boars Head turkey. Boars Head is the most overrated mass produced attempt to upscale your deli (sort of the Starbucks idea)..to me for certain meats (turkey and pastrami) just screams "lazy deli". Sand Wedge is Marty McGillicuddy mediocrity Exhibit 201-B.

Jerry T.

Yelp
I've had lunch a few times at Sand Wedge. Their Cluckin Russian, Buffalo Chicken, and Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches were delicious. I recommend their lunch menu. I haven't try their breakfast menu.

Missy A.

Yelp
Was in the area and def wanted to try something to eat since I'm never in Norwalk lol stopped in here, clean place, friendly staff. I decided to get "da joint" lol it was on a grinder roll. Chicken cutlet, lettuce, cheese sauce, hot sauce, french fries and slaw. Now i know it sounds odd and you wouldn't think all these would work together but let me say this sandwich was fire. It was a perfectly balanced sandwich. You can taste every ingredient but nothing was overwhelming. I would def go back when i return to the area. So yummy!

Lee D.

Yelp
This place is the real deal. Best Philly Cheesesteak north of Philly and south of Boston. Fast service. Good prices. The best garden salad I've ever had (and homemade dressing) since the one I had as a kid at the Palm Court in the Plaza Hotel. If I was given the choice of sex or lunch at the Sandwedge, I'd take the Sandwedge, hands down. For one thing, it lasts longer!

Kevin S.

Yelp
Very good deli sandwiches & swift service, too. I recommend their Turkey Twist, which is a bargain at $6.50. Heapin' helpings of turkey & fresh toppings & served with cranberry sauce. If you are in the Norwalk area by the Merritt Parkway, this place should not be overlooked. They serve breakfast all day, too.

Carmen A.

Yelp
Everything is good there breakfast, lunch or dinner great variety! They have there own sandwiches but you can always customize to your liking.

Payne M.

Yelp
We were eating, the cashier asked us to leave because she had to count money. Unfortunately we tipped time after we ordered, just so she can kick us out. So because we sat down to eat, and it was 3:05 when she kicked us out, she had to pick up her kids So we couldn't finish our meals and she had to count money and pick up her kids, she kicked us out. Post pandemic there are many choices for us to eat lunch. Unfortunately it will no longer be here. We wanna make sure she can pick up her kids

Michelle B.

Yelp
I feel very torn writing this review, because I have wonderful things to say about the food and not so great things to say about the service. On a positive note, my husband and I both really enjoy the food. I usually get an egg platter with cheese, bacon, and a side of homefries. Their homefries are amazing. My husband says the Honeyslide is his favorite sandwich from anywhere in the area. He claims the honey mayo is the best condiment of all time! Unfortunately, we always have some weird customer service problem when we go there which makes our experiences less than pleasant. Even though we order the same thing every time, we started noticing that they charged us a different amount every time. When we confronted them about this and added up the prices listed on their menu, the workers were defensive and were unable to resolve the problem. We would never argue with anyone about paying for a price as it's listed, but they were consistently overcharging us. We do still go on occasion because we like the food. We just advise anyone eating there to do the math themselves and make sure you're paying only for what you ordered.

Charl Y.

Yelp
METAL STAPLE in my food. Been here over twenty times until today's fateful near mishap with a metal staple in my home fries. This could have been a trip in an ambulance and a potential business catastrophe. Regretful because I was becoming a faithful regular and I will even refuse free food as they could assassinate me and my friends. Is there a no stars option on reviews?

Liz A.

Yelp
Stepped in for lunch on Friday afternoon. Place was busy, but fast. We ordered our sandwiches from the menu and it was done within 5-7 minutes. I ordered the honey slide on a wedge (roasted turkey, bacon, swiss, honey mustard, lettuce, tomato w/ avocado). The sandwich was awesome and super tasty! Definitely recommend. Staff was super friendly and the food was great.

Julian C.

Yelp
Walked in at 3 on a day they closed at 3:30, literally told me they were closed and to walk out. Dump.

michelle f.

Yelp
This is my go-to spot for a breakfast sandwich. This should be EVERYONE'S go-to spot for a breakfast sandwich because they are BOMB. I could easily eat one every day for the rest of my life. Yum.

Matt G.

Yelp
Awful customer service. In a large Corporate lunch order of 10+ orders, one of the sandwiches did not arrive. I immediately called back to explain that one sandwich was missing. I received an attitude immediately. I then spoke with the Manager, who also gave me attitude. Terrible customer service. They refused to deliver the missing sandwich. Do NOT order from Sand Wedge.

Camille C.

Yelp
Just received my sandwich which is unedible. The chicken cutlet is burnt, it looks like a piece of charcoal. When I called to complain, was told there was nothing they could do about it, I had to deal with Ubereats. Sandwedge made the sandwich, they should be responsible not Uber. Very disappointed as I have been a customer since their only location was in Ridgefield and then when the Norwalk location opened. No more, as their customer service is non-existant.

Michael B.

Yelp
Ordered 1 hour before lunch, was told delivery in 45 minutes.. we like this place, but the food didn't arrive for nearly 2 hours.. after everyone's lunch was over. Not good for any kind of business delivery

Steven D.

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer of this place for years (stuck through their rough early days after it changed hands from Dalton's) and was happy to see them do well as other delis along Main Ave. closed their doors. Creative and well portioned and sandwiches with a great ratio of ingredients. I even had them put into our bi-weekly company lunch rotation. Guaranteed consistent business for 40+ people. Looking back, we've put up with some service quirks but my most recent experience has me thinking a $5 Footlong would be a safer bet. I'm starting to think the only reason they're still in business is because they're one of two delis left in the middle of load of offices. I had a gift certificate and not only was I overcharged but the guy behind the register made an error in his math and left an even smaller difference on the certificate. It was a gift certificate so I was only calling to give them a heads up and was answered with a, "I don't have time for this, if you want your money come back in" and hung up on. A gold leafed french baguette sandwich wouldn't make up for this kind of attitude. Yikes!

Caroline H.

Yelp
This is my favorite sandwich shop in the area. They have a ton of sandwich options and a variety of salads to pick from. I always go with the cali chicken sandwich - grilled chicken, cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and chipotle sauce. Great combination. My only complaint is that their food isn't always consistent. The Sandwedge is right off route 7, right before or after you get off the highway (depending on where you're coming from), so it's a great place go grab take out. Grab one of their cookies too - they're delicious!

Dave K.

Yelp
Nice little deli located in the same shopping center as planet pizza and also next to Starbucks it's a win win for everyone

Ilana T.

Yelp
First time here and I'm a fan. The menu is extensive! It is a little hard to read on their chalkboards just because there are so many options - with that being said, they'll definitely have something for everyone! They have breakfast sandwiches which looked good, I got a chicken cali wrap, which was HUGE and amazing. We also got a quesadilla which was fresh and stuffed full of chicken, peppers, onions and cheese. The sweet potato fries were fantastic as well, just crispy enough, an entire plate full for $3. The sandwich prices are pretty standard, $8-9, but you get what you pay for, they don't skimp. It's a small deli, 10 tables max and a few outside - good for a casual eat in or take out. I'll be back!

Jen D.

Yelp
Delicious food when made how I asked. However every other time recently I come in they don't make the sandwich how I asked them too. Only to go home open the sandwich to disappointment. That being said they don't use presliced deli meat they cut right when ordered. The soups are amazing.

Debbie Z.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me when I was hosting my daughter's bridal shower. The food was delicious and there was plenty of leftovers as well. The people there were very friendly too.

Patti M.

Yelp
went in because I saw on their web site they have soup and sandwich (griiled cheese) lunch. asked for it and was told "oh, no" we don't have that. So, I just got the soup. They call it chicken vegetable, it should be called oregano soup with hair strings of chicken. Looks and tastes terrible. When you want to call something "chicken" you should really make sure that ingredient GOES into the meal! never again. too bad all the good deli's are gone

Anam B.

Yelp
My sister lives in Connecticut, so whenever I'm there we go to Sand Wedge at least once. The place was recently renovated, so it has a new, contemporary look. The menu looks handwritten on chalkboards, love it! My favorite is the Southwest on a whole wheat wrap, toasted. I also love Da Joint, the fries are IN THE SANDWICH!! The staff is really friendly, there's never a problem if I add some variation or tweak to my sandwich. Definitely recommend this place.

Lisa B.

Yelp
Went here to order two sandwiches for take out. When we picked up the food it was cold, we had only ordered it about ten minutes prior. There was also no one at the desk to help me for over 5 minutes when I walked in to pick up my food. Over all I thought the sandwich I ordered which was "da-joint" was very bland.

Mike K.

Yelp
I have been going to this deli on and off for the last 6 months. The service people are incompetent they can not take direction and they cook your eggs raw and when you complain they could care less. I ask for extra bacon which I will gladly pay for the add an extra strip for 1.00 I believe the feel they are doing their customer as favor by being in business. The quality of the food is below average and I don't see this place getting any better. The other store in Ridgefield is just a worse.

Danny B.

Yelp
They have really good food I got Lunch from here try there BBQ Burger it is really good and there Brownie is also really good I love the Caramel that is in it If your in a Hurry they do Delivery Service and take out so you can take your Food on the go next time I order you guys Im gonna try your Philly Cheese Steak

Sarah C.

Yelp
This is my go-to sandwich shop in the area. They rock - breakfast all day, awesome sandwich menu, clean, fast, and delicious. I always go for the chicken cutlet sandwich known as "The Marvin," which has coleslaw, bbq sauce, and basically tastes like heaven. It is located in a busy parking lot, so I try to go before the lunch crowd descends. Definitely worth a visit since most of the other options in the area are chains.

J H.

Yelp
Nice Help. Food comes out relatively quickly. Stay away from breakfast burrito, overcooked eggs, under-cooked bacon with no flavor (cheap) and commercial salsa on an uncooked wrap.

Srinivasa P.

Yelp
Had a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, was pretty good. This is my first time here. Will be back to try the Cali Chicken Sandwich I saw on the menu. Sounds pretty interesting.

Ashley K.

Yelp
Open sign was on - walked in at 4pm, stood there while some young girl behind the counter ignored me to use her cell phone.. eventually a guy with black hair told me he couldn't serve me because they were closed. Walking out the door confused I checked my cell phone and saw it was 4:02... really? Even when I pointed that out they refused to serve me. is everyone here really that miserable? This place blows.

Diana P.

Yelp
I have been here many times without problems. I work nearby so it was easy for me to get to and the food was always great. The most recent time, I called at 3PM was told the grill was already off (although they do not close until 3:30PM) and that I could only order a sandwich. I asked if I could have a Caesar wrap, which they said sure to and would take about 5 minutes. When I got there around 3:10, the place was dead and they had already started to cash out the register. I got my sandwich walked back to where I work, only to unwrap it to find a measly filled wrap. They always have huge, over-filled sandwiches and I was half heartedly thrown together this wrap that is about 2cm thick in size, with about 3 full pieces of lettuce, cold chicken and barely any dressing, for $8...had it been busy and knowing they were closing I wouldn't have paid much thought to it, but given I was the only customer and was given a sad excuse for a Caesar wrap is very upsetting. I will not be coming back here with such poor customer service.

Sarah L.

Yelp
I love the Sand Wedge! My coworkers and I order pretty regularly from here for lunch since it's just down the street from our office. I typically get their sandwich called The Vermonter on a hard roll which has never been a disappointment. We often call our order ahead and then pick it up since that's easiest, though like others have said the parking lot can be a pain to get in and out of due to the busy road. I did order what's called the Da Joint Sandwich once, which is chicken, cole slaw, and french fries with hot sauce and cheese sauce sauce. I thought the fries and cole slaw were on the side but they are not...they're actually in the sandwich! That was a surprise but it was still pretty tasty - good for the adventurous type. Overall I love their sandwiches and will continue to order from here fairly often since they're always so good!

Kevin L.

Yelp
Stopped in for quick breakfast. I got a bacon, egg and cheese but the bacon was barely cooked; I also got a hash-brown which was flavorless. Better deli options in the area so doubt I'll go back.

Rachel S.

Yelp
This place is the best! I come here every week and am always delighted to see the friendly staff. The chicken salad here is amazing and they have the best pickles ever.

Mish G.

Yelp
They use day old bread to make below mediocre sandwiches. Second time there as I believe in a second chance, but we will definitely not be frequenting this deli again. If you want a quality sandwich check out A&S deli. Only wish we had eaten there instead of taken it out so that I could show them what a poor excuse for a sandwich their employee made. Oh and girl at the register, rude.

Rachel R.

Yelp
This is a fantastic deli centrally located just off of Route 7. I haven't been yet for breakfast but they have a ton of lunch options, everything from specialty sandwiches, to gourmet salads, to items off the grill, etc. I'm especially a fan of their buffalo chicken sandwich. Staff is friendly, service is quick, and the place itself is very clean and inviting.

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Great food at a great price. Staff is friendly and welcoming! We come here every Sunday!

Gregory M.

Yelp
I prolly come here 4 times a week for either breakfast or lunch. The place is just straight up good. Staff, food, and music. Coffees good too! Get plenty of grub for the price and it's always good. Salads rock, omelets rock, hot bar rocks, and the music rocks. 3 thumbs up.

Hunter B.

Yelp
Great catering from this place, and excellent hot food as well. Sandwich section is amazing as well. Have eaten there a dozen times.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Catered from Sand Wedge for a business event. Assorted sandwich platter was delivered on time and they were delicious. Everyone enjoyed the salad and I can't say enough about how fresh the fruit platter was! Very pleased with the quality and service! Would definitely use Sand Wedge again and highly recommend them!

Eva G.

Yelp
Our work used to order from here once a week. Salads are SMALL (and I love my vegetables so a big salad is the key to my heart), and the sandwiches...SOGGY and absolutely disgusting. Every order is always wrong, too. We stopped going there, thankfully!

Nick G.

Yelp
One bite of the buffalo chicken sandwich and right into the garbage. Yuck! Needless to say never again going to this deli.

Carolee K.

Yelp
We love Saturday stops for the sandwiches here. Read the menu before you come. It's extensive. Also call in order ahead since there is often a line for food orders. Breakfast food is just ok here but the sandwiches are really their best feature. Cali chicken and Georgetowner are family favorites. We did try their Thursday night bbq. It was just ok. Maybe their attempt for dinner hour and think it can and will get better. These folks seem to improve with time.

Mick C.

Yelp
Our office orders food from there often and there is usually something missing or wrong. Today is no different. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and got a buffalo chicken sandwich with the sauce scraped off. Do they think I am stupid? I HATE buffalo chicken. This is the last time they get our money.
