Sandals Barbados

We recently stayed at Sandals Barbados from 29th December for 9 nights and wanted to leave an honest review. After reading some negative reviews in the weeks before travelling, we were slightly concerned that we may have made a mistake — we definitely didn’t.|We booked a Deluxe Room knowing it was basic and in need of a little TLC in places. However, it was spacious, cleaned daily, and had a very comfortable bed, which was all we needed as we only used the room for sleeping and showering. If you’re someone who plans to spend a lot of time in the room and wants something more luxurious, it would be worth paying extra for an upgrade.|The food overall was very good and we managed to eat at most of the restaurants during our stay. Our favourites were Bombay Club for dinner and Neptune’s or The Mariner for lunch. Breakfast was excellent across all the restaurants we tried. We also loved Lovers Lane — the bowling alley was a great addition and a really fun way to spend an evening.|The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to get out and explore other parts of the island. We loved the beach and the included watersports, which are a great bonus with the all-inclusive package.|The swimming pools were excellent and we enjoyed using different ones across the two hotels. We preferred the quieter pools, but the lively infinity pool on the Royal side was good fun too. The rooftop pool and bar is a fantastic addition, offering great views over the resort and beach.|Service was generally very good, although it could be a little slow at times — which didn’t bother us at all as we were on holiday and in no rush. The vast majority of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and fun to be around. I’m not sure why some recent reviews mention rude staff, as around 95% of the team we encountered were excellent.|Overall, we had a great holiday and are really glad we didn’t let the negative reviews put us off. We would absolutely love to return one day.

We stayed at Sandals Barbados for our January 2026 honeymoon and had truly an amazing stay! Our goal for the trip was to relax, get some sun, and drink away after wedding planning. We did that and SO much more. The staff is absolutely wonderful, so accomodating and always willing to help. The property is super clean! There are plenty of chairs to find one during the day if you want to be on the beach or pool. It was truly an amazing stay! Our flight home was cancelled 2 different times - Sandals welcomed us back immediately and made a stressful situation easy for us. We were cancelled on a Saturday, had to extend till Monday then we got cancelled again on Monday and had to extend till Wednesday. All 3 trips to the airport were an ease with Sandals, they provided transportation every way and secured our bags for us until shuttle time. We will continue to give our business to Sandals and can not wait for our next Vacation! Thank You, Sandals!

We spent a week in Barbados it’s an amazing place. Much of our nights were spent at the bar with our friend Joy who is an Antigua resident. Joy is an amazing host we definitely enjoyed her company. Also spent time at the spa with amazing people. Abigail was a fun person who really made it easy to relax and enjoy your time spent at the spa. From your Wisconsin friends, Joy we can’t wait to see you next year in Antigua.

We just got back and we had a fabulous time. The food and service was great. Having 2 resorts side by side gave us a lot of options for pools bars and dining. The staff were so friendly and the beach was beautiful, not very long but really nice. The ocean was pretty rough on this side of the island so if your balance and legs are not strong it might be tough getting in and out.

Wonderful time at this beautiful resort in March 2026. Weather good sometimes windy but did not bother us at all as it cooled us down. Had a massage in The spa from Marjorie which was magical and should not be missed. I only had one and wished I had more.

What a fantastic stay we had at Sandals Barbados! It’s been a wonderful, relaxing week and we are sad to go. This is our first trip back since we said our vows here in 2018. While much has changed during that time, the most important things have not. The beauty of the island, kindness of the people, our fantastic butlers, and many other staff who have been stellar during our visit. First, to our wonderful butler team Nicola, Denese, and Shanice - you ladies have been a pleasure to work with! You have met our needs during our stay and exceeded! Thank you so much for your hard work, thoroughness, and friendliness. We are truly appreciative! Avery, our waiter at Butch’s Seafood and Steakhouse - you made our night! Not once did we need to ask for anything during our wonderful dinner! And you were handling many tables other than us. So much personality and we had a wonderful night! Thank you! Cassandria in housekeeping - thank you so much for your hard work during our stay and in making sure all of our needs were met. Not once did we have to call because something needed to be replaced. Our room was meticulous and we are very appreciative! To a few of our Infinity Pool team - Mahalia, Shakeira, Annette, you ladies rock!! You kept the drinks and party mode flowing! Thank you for taking care of us!! Christopher at Kimonos - what a fun night!! Food was great and the entertainment was awesome! Thank you for making dinner our last night at the resort so much fun! Overall, it’s been a wonderful vacation! Our sincere thanks to all who made it happen!

This was our fist time to Sandals Royal Barbados . The resort is located only about 15 minutes from Grantley International Airport, which is convenient. Although it is a large resort, it isn't crowded at all. There's plenty of room to find a quiet place to sit and enough pools to easily find a chair. The main infinity pool is incredible and the view from the rooftop infinity pool is breathtaking . The beach is absolutely amazing though the chairs fill up quickly. Also, this is the only Sandals resort with a bowling alley. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating during our stay. Having a total of 21 restaurants on both resorts choose from gives you a wide variety cuisine. After trying most of them, each experience was different and enjoyable. The property is well maintained and clean. If you're looking for a tropical destination, I would definitely recommend trying this one.

We had a great time. Yes, there may be some rooms that could use a bit of updating, but we literally do nothing but sleep and shower in our rooms and those accommodations, for us, were sufficient. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. I will say there was one bartender -in the evening- near the lounge that seemed to be having an off night, but that was the only occurrence I can speak about negatively. The food was amazing. Housekeeping went above and beyond. The beach and views are beautiful. And while our visit was to escape the holiday grief due to the death anniversary of our son, I experienced an abundance of peace and joy. Also, Heart and Sol and The Greenhouse are the best hidden gems. I may have ended up on a service road in search of them, 😆 but they were both well worth the adventure!
