"Guests can expect a little of everything at the Sandals Royal Bahamian There's unfettered access to the aqua waters of Cable Beach, plus a handful of excellent dining options to choose from, and, of course unparalleled personal butler service. There are several categories of rooms, each with their own perks and price points—but for maximum value (and bliss), we'd opt for one of the Windsor swim-up suites, where you can roll out of a four-poster king bed and onto a furnished private patio (with zero-entry access to the Zen Garden river pool) in less time than it might take your to reach your bathroom. There's also an offshore island that guests can get to via launch, sailboat, or kayak, with two secluded beaches that play host to both low-key activities like snorkeling and sunbathing, and high-energy water sports, respectively. Shell out a little extra for treatments at the Red Lane Spa, like a lavender scalp massage, administered with a warm, soothing blend of aromatherapy oils. The staff will even throw in a take-home aromatherapy pillow, so that you can try to smuggle a little slice of relaxation home with you."

This has been mine and my husbands favorite spot to go for our anniversary for years now and to find out this is being replaced by a Beaches is beyond words. Why would you take such a peaceful and romantic place like this island and turn it into a screaming kids place. I’ve raised my kids and this is where I came to get away from them. Numerous times and now we have nowhere. We tried other sandals and none were like this island! This was the only resort that kept us with Sandals. You have list a long time customer with us! This was the last straw!

This resort is beautiful. We arrived soon to the resort closing (4 days left). It was to our advantage. Unfortunately, not all of the restaurants were open every night. That was the only drawback. The ocean views, white sand, and having the pool to ourselves was nice. I think there were more workers there than guests. It was a trip of a lifetime. Exuma is beautiful. We booked the swim with pigs tour thru the tour agency. It was well worth the money. We would love to come back as soon as they reopen. I wished there were more lunch options, and a nice steak restaurant. It was beautiful. All of the resort workers were so nice as well.

First of all, the actual view from the room is of a burm with weeds. Beyond that is the ocean. Red flag warning the whole time we were there. We weren't allowed to go snorkel or use other equipment in water. The only thing to do was walk along the beach which I did zigzagging thru all the plastic trash. The resort next door had a cleaner beach front. The food was ok. The drinks ok. The workers were not trained in high end customer service. Bottom line is, you pay 5 star price but receive 2.5 star quality. My husband and I changed our flight to go home a day early. I would never recommend this place

I can’t begin to tell you what a great time we had at Sandals Emerald Bay. We arrived at the airport and were greeted by a well organized team getting everyone loaded into taxis for the short ride to the resort. There we were greeted by staff and taken to a lounge where we were given champagne while we waited for our room. Everyone was escorted to their rooms were we received an overview of the resort. Our room was large and clean. It was cleaned daily and there was a turndown service. Our fridge was restocked daily as well. The food was fantastic. Every restaurant was different and the service was great. Our favorite was the French restaurant, but each one was fantastic. We went to the quiet pool and hot tub every day. Very relaxing. The best thing, by far, was the golf. I have never played a course that was in such perfect shape. You simply walk out the front door of the resort and you are at the pro shop. No need for a shuttle ride. The fairways were lush and the greens rolled true. The back nine is right on the coast with great views. We got some great action shots of us golfing with huge waves crashing in the background. It is a challenging course and you should bring plenty of balls as there is plenty of water. I can’t say enough about the course. Our departure was just as easy as our arrival. They picked up our bags at our rooms and were very organized getting us to the airport. We are already saving for our next trip to this fantastic resort.

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. From the moment we got off the plane we were met with nothing but ease. There was a car waiting to pick us up and drive us to the resort (about 10 minutes from the airport) and our bags were taken care of both when we arrived and when we left. The food and drinks were decent and I have nothing negative to say about them. Our favorite part was definitely Bahama Bay for their breakfast buffet. They had a huge array of options as well as a menu to order off of with different types of options for eggs. The room was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. All the pools were awesome but we especially enjoyed the quiet pool at the end of the day. The swim up bar in the main pool was also a big plus. The beach could use a few more spots with umbrellas but that would be my only complaint. Another big plus was that the resort felt extremely safe. The gym was also a wonderful part, it was equipped with dumbbells and treadmills and much more. I would 1000% recommend this resort to anyone.

I want to start with I am a loyal sandals/beaches member. Since 2021 i have visited the resorts six times with a seventh trip in two weeks. I have had nothing but positive to say about my experiences with the company until now. They are great at being good when things are going well but our experience was beyond terrible. I have had better customer service at a 30 dollar a night motel. My partner woke up covered in bed bug bites on the last day. We went to the concierge to inform them and they brushed her aside and told her to put baby oil on it. We were turned down from talking to a manager. We took pictures on site and when we got back, we had two doctors confirm it was in fact bed bugs. We tried for awhile to get someone to write or call back. When we finally got an answer back, it was no you are wrong. When i asked for documentation, they said we dont do that. It was in fact bed bugs, she had to cover up till the bite marks were gone. The bed bugs were one issue but the customer service made it 10000 times worse as they just didnt care. Avoid at all costs, and I'll be looking at switching my loyalties soon Six month update: I’ve become even more disenfranchised with sandals. Their reactions continued to be dismissive and unresponsive. They have lost a very loyal customer

Sandals Emerald Bay is an amazing vacation resort. We recently visited for my birthday and the staff made it a birthday to remember for years to come. They are so accommodating by making sure your every need is met during your stay. The grounds are beautifully kept with a large variety of colorful plant life. The pools offer entertainment or quiet depending on what you are looking for from a vacation. They offer a wide variety or restaurants that serve the most delicious food. The spa service was one to be remembered and left my husband and I even more relaxed on an already relaxing vacation. And then there is the gorgeous beach! What more could you ask for from a vacation. This is truly a 5 star hotel and we enjoyed our escape! Special thanks to the many staff members who assisted us during our trip!

My wife and I visited this resort twice in the past. Our first trip was July 2020 on the opening week after Covid and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We loved this resort so much that we booked it for the following year. ||We had air conditioning issues in our room the following year in 2021. I had to keep disconnecting the thermostat in order for it to work. Multiple calls to the front desk and a maintenance worker (still there to this date) would come if we were lucky maybe to look at it and wouldn’t do a thing. ||My wife and I love Exuma so much that we saved for two years for our trip this year. We reserved a butler room cause we wanted to stay in a larger room. Upon check-in on July 6, the butlers lounge was needless to say HOT! The butler concierge was very non-chalant about the entire resort not having air conditioning and it had been broken since July 3. I started realizing that how hard would it have been for a simple email to be sent out to upcoming arrivals. We could have rescheduled for the following week!!!||The entire management team should really be looked into for this!!! They all seemed to be extremely hush about the situation to everyone there and those being checked in. No updates were ever given regarding air conditioning. We felt really sorry for the workers there that were working in the conditions presented cause they were doing their very best. ||We couldn’t sleep in our bedroom for three nights due to the room having a temperature of 86-88 degrees. The room had started to smell mildew after the first night with only one ceiling fan working on high. One of the bedroom windows would not open and the other had a window lock made of mortar, yes I said mortar!!!!!||My wife had to “sleep” if she could on the floor and I slept on the loveseat. She said the loveseat would keep her hotter than the floor. We had to sleep like animals in a room costing over $1k a night!!!!!!! We were able to finally switch rooms on day 4 out of 6. Only one side of the building had air conditioning working. ||The compensation offered to us and everyone else would be for three nights based on the cash amount paid per night for the trip this year. The problem with this is that we had $1500 as ssg points and when we inquired about possible returning next year, the cost of two nights would be almost as much as what we paid for five nights this year. No re-credit of our points would be given back to us, so I would advise to look elsewhere then staying with this brand (Sandals/Beaches). Everything with this company seems to be a genuine money grab!!!||The staff, excluding front desk management and higher, really went above and beyond to try to keep guests comfortable. The island really is beautiful and we will return but we will look into renting a house for our next trip.
