"Antigua's Dickenson Beach, with long stretches of white sand, is the island's most beloved for a reason, and the adults-only Sandals Grande Antigua has the best and most reliable access. But that's not all: you won't run out of things to do, as the full-service resort has a piano bar, six swimming pools, eleven restaurants and bars, and a tennis court. Take a break from the water to go on a customized walking tour of the closest town, St. John's, or try a spa treatment like a lavender scalp massage that will help you over that jet lag in no time. Upgrade to one of the plunge pool villas at the Mediterranean Village property for 24-hour room service, a private butler, and (you guessed it) plunge pools."

A wonderful vacation spot to relax and be happy! The best part was the people and culture . Everyone was so professional and friendly at the resort. The amenities offered were everything you could want for an all inclusive resort. Enjoyed two massages at Red Lane Spa with Michelle highly recommend!! The spa and fitness center were clean and well equipped for all needs.|Also recommend taking advantage of touring the island by land and sea. We used John Francis taxi’s service he was our tour guide informative and delightful. Our journey started at Sandals through St Johns along the beaches of St Mary into the Wallings Nature Preserve onto St Paul Falmouth Harbor and Nelson’s Dockyard. Learning about the culture and environment of Antigua was enlightening. Stopped along the way for lunch at Mamas Delight near Falmouth. Delicious home made food and fruit drinks! What fabulous and fun day!|Looking forward to our next visit!! 🥰

Just returned from this amazing hotel! Go, you will not be disappointed. The food is immense, our fav restaurants were Eleanors (Caribbean), Barefoot by the Sea (Seafood) & Bayside (French), we didnt try the others as prefer to be outside and these ones have views of the gorgeous beach. |Normally we sit by the pool, but every day decided to go to the beach, great location and the beach was stunning. |Always able to get a sunbed and towels plentiful.|The ground were so well kept and beautiful, lots of flowers and lush green grass.|The room was spacious, great mini bar constantly topped up, comfy bed and pillows, plenty of towels and toiletries.|The staff are great, smiling and happy to help. Special shout out to Joy in the Caribbean bar, super helpful and great banter!|There is security on each entrance from the beach which is appreciated, however, on one occasion when coming back from the beach, I was prevented from entering back into the hotel as the guard could not find my name but found my husbands (this was mid way through the holiday and had not happened previously, and we were at the beach every day!) This went on for quite some time, whilst they continued to look for my name and asked if I had a different name! One of their colleagues also confirmed to this particular guard that I was resident at the hotel but this was ignored which was quite frustrating. |I spoke to the Head of Security who assured me this would not happen again - a one off I am sure.|Aside from the security issue, would I return? Most definitely. Yes, it could do with an update but the staff, food and entertainment (do not miss the silent disco, it was hilarious!) make it all worthwhile. |Thank you for a great holiday!

We recently stayed at this resort and had a wonderful experience overall. A special shoutout to Simone, Stella, and Nataliya for their outstanding deep tissue massages. We ended up going to the spa three times because their treatments were that good! The spa itself was incredibly clean and inviting, making the experience even more relaxing.||I'd also like to highlight Stacy from Mario's and the Drunken Duck. She was a ray of sunshine—personable, dedicated, and always made sure we were well taken care of. The food at both restaurants was delicious, offering a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate.||The beach was beautiful—clean with plenty of umbrellas and chairs, perfect for lounging. The grounds of the resort were spotless, and we loved the cute and friendly cats that roamed the property, which added a fun touch.||Now for the reasons I gave the resort 4 stars instead of 5:||1. Outdated Rooms: Unfortunately, the room we stayed in felt quite outdated. The furniture was worn out and in need of replacement, and the bathroom was similarly dated, needing major updates. The A/C unit was also below par. While the room served its basic purpose, it wasn’t reflective of the price point or the rest of the resort. That said, we spent 90% of our time outside, so it wasn’t a deal breaker.||2. Restaurant Service: The service at the restaurants was inconsistent. Drinks were often delayed, and we experienced long waits between appetizers and the main course. The biggest issue was dessert. While the desserts were fantastic, we had to wait anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes to get them each evening.||Overall, we had a lovely stay, and the exceptional spa treatments and service from staff like Stacy made it memorable. With some updates to the rooms and improvements in restaurant service, this resort could easily become a 5-star experience.

We had a great time, we did the 360 excursion and it was great. Mario’s was our favorite.Great staff, clean resort, plenty to do. Kilroy was the best bartender ever, he not only remembered our names and where we were from, he also made our drinks special like we like them. He also was very informative about the islands around there and the culture. Glad renovations are going on, our room was outdated, but still very nice, We will be back thanks so much.

Amazing time at Sandals Grande Antigua. Fishing trip, catamaran cruise and Hobbie Cat sailing was wonderful. Loved the pool bar. Thank you to Lindsey Hoffman Utra Tech Travel for setting up our destination wedding, room choice was quiet with a beautiful ocean view, and flight was excellent times. She did a wonderful job. Will definitely use her services again❤️ looking forward to another resort for our anniversary.

To celebrate my birthday this past January, we visited the Sandals Grande Antigua. It was a very nice resort with delicious restaurants, a huge main pool, an awesome coffee shop, and lots of cool seating areas around the resort. You must try the seafood omelet, pineapple mimosa, and Blue Mountain coffee at Eleanors. It was the perfect breakfast, every day!|We enjoyed our time off the resort touring the area and experiencing the local historic areas. Our favorite was our evening at Shirley Heights... jerk chicken, rum punch, a steel drum band, and the most picturesque view of the sunset you could ever want to see.|This was our 10th time at a Sandals Resort. We are so happy we had the pleasure of visiting this Antigua gem.||

My wife and I had our honeymoon in 2/2025, we had the Mediterranean One Bedroom Butler Villa with Private Pool Sanctuary room. The room was stunning, even more gorgeous than the pictures with hot tub, private pool and bar maintained daily. We always had fresh linen, room turn down twice daily and fresh ice and towels. ||The Butler service was superb. Our three butlers, Corrie, June and Hunter were top notch, incredibly attentive, not invasive or overbearing and went out of their way to make our honeymoon special and romantic. June set up a romantic bath for us with fresh picked flowers ones night and champagne on ice. All the other staff on property were excellent and very friendly. The photographers were excellent and went out of their way to to set up special moments for my wife and I, Davin and Delmore captured beautiful pictures for us. ||The food one the resort was good, but nothing spectacular. We preferred the variety of food at Sandal's Grenada. Soy, Elanoar's and Bayside were our favorite restaurants. We loved sitting at the bar at Soy, mingling with the sushi chefs and ordering as we go. The sushi chef, George was excellent. We were unimpressed with Kimono's and thought our local Hibachi place was better. ||One drawback of Sandal's Antigua is that the beach is public. It was a little hard to get relaxation between vendors frequently approaching you to sell trinkets, clothes, hats or excursions while the Sandal's staff was also dropping by to offer pictures, or spa treatments. The vendors were fine and with the exception of one, would quickly leave after a polite no thank you. ||Overall, we had an excellent honeymoon and really enjoyed the staff and villa we had.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day stay at Sandals Grande Antigua as our first Sandals stay. Overall- great experience! ||The pros: The property was beautiful, room was extremely clean and comfortable, the staff and service were top notch. The beach was beautiful and overall everything was exactly as pictured and described on the website. We took three tours- Antigua sightseeing, 360 boat tour, and Shirley Heights sunset party- all booked through Sandals. We enjoyed all three. The restaurants on site were very good and alcohol selection was great. For peak season, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we rarely waited for a drink or for dinner. We enjoyed the stand up paddle boards and Hobie cats which were complimentary with our stay! ||The cons: We flew from St Louis and definitely underestimated the travel time. It was a long hard travel day both there and on the return. But this is not Sandals fault. The only other con- at 37 and 38 years old, we were the youngest guests by at least 15 years. This didn’t get in the way of our fun, but it would have been nice to have other couples our age to visit with. ||Don’t miss: a boat tour of any kind- the water and island are beautiful from a boat! Soy Sushi- our favorite on site restaurant. And there is a floating tiki bar just down the beach from the resort- it’s worth it to pay for a drink there! So fun!
