The 40 Best Resorts in the Caribbean: 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards

"This spot on Pink Gin Beach, formerly LaSource, was taken over by Sandals, and reopened the adults-only, all-inclusive in 2013 with 150 rooms and 75 suites. Only five minutes from the island's main airport, some oceanfront accommodations come complete with butler service and private pools—in fact, the resort seems to be happily obsessed with pools: "pools in the sky, and living rooms in swimming pools. Private plunge pools, cascading waterfalls, and meandering river pools" they declare. Take your pick of nine restaurants serving everything from Japanese to French to local Caribbean fare. There's nightly entertainment, including live bands, fashion and talent shows, and beach parties—and a Red Lane Spa to recover from it all." - CNT Editors

Absolutely stunning place. We had a Butler suite with our own private pool, hot tub & jacuzzi. Overlooking lush green gardens. Our suite of rooms was first class, beautiful huge colonial bed with our own private pool at the bottom looking out onto the most stunning gardens. The staff are world class and cannot be beaten. Very very polite, methodical, informative and love what they do. The food served is first class, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit. The island is stunning. What sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear sea. Hotel entertainment every evening was also first class.

From the moment we arrived for our honeymoon at Sandals Grenada we were blown away. The resort itself is stunning, but what truly made our experience unforgettable were the incredible people-especially our butlers Marlon, Teddy, and Shane. They went above and beyond every single day, making us feel like absolute royalty. Every detail was taken care of with warmth, professionalism and an authentic smile. The entire staff was just as wonderful-always friendly and eager to help, creating an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and welcoming. The food? Incredible. Every meal was a delight, with a variety of restaurants and flavors that kept things exciting. The beach was paradise: beautiful sand, crystal-clear water, and sunsets that felt straight our of a romance novel. And our room was perfection-beautifully designed, spacious, and so comfortable we didn't want to leave. This place has a place in our hearts. Thank you, Sandals Grenada, for a perfect honeymoon we'll treasure forever.

We just wrapped up an amazing week at Sandals Grenada, and one of the standout experiences was the incredible service we received from the bar staff, especially at the pool bar and The Living Room.||Mario deserves special recognition. He worked all seven days of our stay and had our favorite drinks ready and waiting each time we walked up. His dedication and memory made us feel like true VIPs.||Jethro is doing an outstanding job during his internship. He was courteous, fun, and clearly passionate about making guests feel welcome. He has a bright future ahead of him.||Nórdica and Sherene were equally wonderful. They greeted us with warm smiles and cold drinks without us even having to ask. Their energy and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. We looked forward to spending our days with this team by the pool! ||At The Living Room Bar, Kwesi and Micah kept the good times going every night with great cocktails, fun conversation, and exceptional hospitality. They were the perfect way to end our evenings. Special thanks to Micah for going above and beyond! ||This entire team made our trip unforgettable. Thank you for your warmth, service, and for making every moment feel effortless and fun. We will absolutely be back and we’ll be looking for this crew when we return.

We were blown away by this location. First of this is my new favorite country to visit in the Caribbean. So beautiful, weather was amazing, and the people are the friendliest. ||||The resort is smaller but well laid out with everything a short walk away yet offering enough to keep you entertained. All of the food was amazing. The entertainment was great and so was the service. We quickly realized why so many other Sandals fans say Grenada is their favorite. ||||Take advantage of the free boat tour, snorkeling tour, and snorkeling from the shore that they offer. We also did a couple massage at the spa which was very relaxing. For tours the river tubing and sulfur pond was amazing. Great way to see the island in an open air truck, hit the rainforest, tube down some mild rapids, soak in a local natural sulfur pond, and experience some local food. Most of this tour was in less visited areas so you get a real experience. We also did the 1/2 day historical tour taking you to Ft. Frederick, the spice factory to try the flavors of the island, downtown St. George to see the capital and shop and tasting at a rum distillery. ||||The views from everywhere on the resort are incredible. We fell in love with this resort and will be coming back. Our Butlers Don, Leanna, and Samuel made every moment special. Franklin the personal trainer does some awesome classes pool side that are fun and keep you active (still with drink in hand). Kenisha in the salon took care of my wife’s nails for free when she had a couple come off during the trip even though they weren’t done there. Viola in Columbian Emeralds was great showing us things and wasn’t pushy to buy just loved to show us what they offer. Michael at Kimonos was an amazing chef. He said he’s only been doing this for 4 months but that must be island time cause he put on a great show. So many of the managers stopped to say hi every day and make sure our trip was nothing short of spectacular. I wish I could remember everyone’s name usually it’s easier but when literally everyone you come in contact with makes your day it’s hard to track them all.

We spent our honeymoon at Sandals Grenada, and it was nothing short of amazing. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff made us feel so welcomed and celebrated, and the service was incredible the entire visit. We especially loved our butlers — they went above and beyond to provide exceptional service for us. Our room was luxurious and peaceful, and the food throughout the resort was great. Sandals Grenada gave us memories we’ll never forget. We will definitely be planning a return in the near future.

I love this resort because it is relatively quiet. I enjoy spending my days at the beach and the quiet pool is next to the beach. The party pool is in the back of the resort. There is evening entertainment every night, but it’s muffled if I want to relax in my room. The food and service are excellent. My room was kept clean and stocked. My butler team, Leanna, Don and Samuel met every expectation and provided some wonderful surprises too! I’ll be returning in 2026.

Our 4th Sandals/Beaches resort. It was perfect from start to finish. Our butlers were Don, Leanna and Samuel. They were exceptional, and provided us with amazing service all week. Not only that- we loved getting to know them and have a few laughs along the way. There were so many staff members that made the trip above and beyond what we have ever experienced before. We are used to the brand and know what to expect. But the people- Shanelle and Laurel with the butler service, Gary and Akhim with Loyalty. Patterson and Mario and literally all of the bartenders that knew I like two limes in my drink! Chef Jhune- we can’t thank enough- we are vegan and he went above and beyond with his dishes for us. Sheldon at photo was great! Ashanti at the French restaurant- we had her as a server for dinner one night and she said well you have to come back for our breakfast. She coordinated an amazing vegan breakfast on our last day. A few other names to mention- Devin, Avian, the lovely ladies at the Cafe I couldn’t get all of their names. The island is amazing and the resort is kept impeccable by the staff. Our new favorite place for sure!

We spent 7 night in late June at Sandals Grenada. This is our 7th visit to a Sandals resort and our 2nd to Grenada. We stayed in S1B which is a butler level swim up in the Italian Village (Rm 3203). This room was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in at a Sandals with a great view. |We started coming back to Sandals in 2018 - 14 years after our honeymoon in St Lucia. Grenada has the best food and best entertainment of any of the Sandals resorts we visited. The staff are exceptional, friendly and helpful. This was only our second butler stay (others club or luxury) and was better than our first. Perhaps we were just better at requesting what we wanted. We asked for some specific additions to our room (extra pillows, gym mat, extra water, ice), breakfast room service daily, chairs near beach (but there were plenty available), lunch at our beach chairs most day, afternoon snacks and dessert in the room at night. The snack and dessert were met on most but not all nights. Anything we requested was received. We also did receive a few ‘wows’ with towel art and a bubble bath. |Nightly entertainment here is top notch. Jazz who is a vocalist and entertainment director is outstanding. Other vocalist are also terrific as well as DJs and dancers. The Fire and Water show is not one to miss. Entertainment does turn down between 11 and 12 which completely fit our style. |Grounds are impeccably maintained and rooms do not show their age as much as some other Sandals. |We booked a private tour with Tours Grenada. Nic was our driver and worked with us to customize our trip (Clark’s Court distillery, House of Chocolate, Crater Lake, Annandale falls, Fort Frederick). It was great day and we would highly recommend their services. |We did have some travel issues at the end of our stay with our flight being delayed overnight. Sandal’s had availability and was able to take us back. They have this process so streamlined that the stress level of travel woes just melted away when we stepped back on property. They even put us back in the same room category (without the butler) which was totally unexpected (Rm 3105). |Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.
